"We are at your disposal for the remainder of the day," says Hun, followed by Poe's completion: "so we will stay with you unless you wish us to wait somewhere," "or do something else for you." "And, of course, if you wish to purchase our services tomorrow," "We will be delighted to continue to provide them," they add together.

"We charge high prices, so we want to be worth every pinch. Happy customers are good for business," adds Ocean Soul with an attempt at a rakish grin. A bit more calmly and shyly, he adds, "But thank you for your consideration, Ma'am. It is a pleasure to work for you." This message was last edited by the GM at 22:02, Sat 12 Feb 2011.

"Oh? Most people I...well, work with, you are the first people I have employed, tend to not get on with me." She has a slight sway, as she walks, moving to some song in her head. "Perhaps that is changing..."

Beatrix hms. "Did he claim to have knowledge of things that weren't happening yet, but would happen in the future?"
Beatrix laughs. "Ah, the workings of Heaven! There is something everyone likely wishes they knew more about. Often in a 'what are they thinking?' sort of way."
Beatrix hmms. "Well, first we ought to determine whether our involvement is even necessary, I suppose. I can hire some scouts to head out and see if the food deliveries are merely late, for one. It is three days from the outlying farms by cart, and there's any number of things that could happen to the roads to increase the travel time. I would arrange horses for the scouts, so it would take, at most, three days for them to ride out and back with word that something had or hadn't happened - less if the shipment is merely late. Until they return, we enjoy the festivities and those of us laying plans for dealing with the larger problem do so."

"Sounds like a plan to me. Certainly enjoying myself doesn't sound like a bad thing, if done in moderation." The redhead northerner doesn't sound like one to take himself at ease to long. Certainly the harshness of the North let few with idle hands survive.

It must be nice to be a Solar, however. Only having to think about yourself or those around you. Not like being a Sidereal, where the Fate of the world literally rests on your shoulders. Evangelical will admit it to himself, he isn't the most proactive when it comes to defending Creation. But deep down his heart is in the right place, as if the Exaltation attached to his soul was designed to make sure that he would care for the world. The Solars are loose cannons, but Sidereals like himself are the carefully designed protectors of reality and the universe. Protecting Creation is a duty that can come at any cost, and though he might not be happy about it, at the end of the day there isn't a cost that Evangelical wouldn't be willing to pay. Between twiddling his thumbs and tapping on the table, Evangelical just can't seem to get comfortable. He sits up and looks over to Sevastian. "Play that song that you were practicing last week. I trust that you've rehearsed it by now." Evangelical commands. He walks towards Purity and looks down on her through his blindfold. "Lay flat on your chest, I'm going to rub your back." Evangelical says, not quite asking but not quite demanding. He need something to do. If only he were back home at his workshop this would be so much easier. Playing around with his little magitech toys always made him feel better. Especially when in a tight situation.

<OOC: 4 successes - 3 Intenral Penalty (Arcane Fate) = 1 Success. This is the second successful roll for that event. 06:24, Today: K the Jester rolled 3 successes using 6d10 with the White Wolf Exalted system with a target of 7. > K tilts her head. This sounded like a very particular question. She didn't understand the deeper meaning behind it, but knew there was something the Lady was searching for. "No. Not that I observed. I'll ask my friends if they also saw something. Hey guys! Did Mr. Design, heaven's big honcho from the storm god incident, display any knowledge of the future?" "As far as I saw, he knew a lot of what had transpired in the area, and the far past, but nothing prophetic. He was very diplomatic in the ways he handled the situation. I can't belive he would advocate this Mr. Ideal's views on slavery. Perhaps I can talk to him about his associat's agenda." "I must ask, why where you interested in knowing if he could know the future?" K is very quizzical. The only thing she knows is that she knows so little. Why did her patron tell her so little? It must be a test. She hoped it was a test. She has to try to be wise. She has faith that Evangelion Design would never advocate slavery. The heavens could not work like that.
"Oh..." K looks a little crestfallen. Where people really this cynical about the celestial gods? She fully understood the doubt about the terrestrial courts, mortal authorities, and the Dynastic Host, but after her personal salvation by her god, she had developed a faith in the invisible workings of the celestial courts. Her ignorance and old cynicism started to gnaw at her faith. She didn't want to feel like her old self, jaded and angry all the time. Furious at everything. She didn't like her old self very much, or what she used to do. "Have you- um- dealt with the gods of Heaven before?" She really didn't want to ask and find out something negative, but she needed to know what was what. Burying her head in the sand was not an option.
"So you recommend we prepare and gather intelligence during the festival? That sounds wise. This sounds wise. I agree." "Hmmm... if they are preparing something, perhaps they have agents in the area already." "And perhaps we can find them and interrogate them." ______________________________________________________________ K asks Beatrix for the location of the tent she had her meeting in. After K checks on her show, her pets, her men, and the restaurant, she approaches the tent and listens in to hear if anyone is there. She then 'knocks' and asks to enter. "Hello? I am a business woman seeking a Mr. Ideal. I anyone available?" This message was last edited by the player at 11:28, Mon 14 Feb 2011.

After a while Sevastian hears someone approach. He heard many approach and continue on, but this one stops at the tent and 'knocks'. The dragon smiles to his master and stops playing. "Bother not, I shall take care of the lady." He moves out of the tent trying to use his height and the flap to block any view into the tent. Seeing K the man smiles kindly at her, closing the tent flap behind him. "I am sorry madam K but Mr. Ideal is previously engaged." The dragon gestures to himself and bows slightly, his violin nestled in his left elbow. "How might I be of assistance to you?" He asks kindly to the woman, his ocean deep blue eyes meeting her icy blue orbs and a smile on his face. This message was last edited by the player at 15:12, Mon 14 Feb 2011.

Beatrix nods. "A reasonable question. Contemporary Ideal made claims on knowing, with apparent certainty, certain events that he insisted would transpire at some point in the future, and his companion seemed openly disdainful of the idea that anyone could disagree with his assessment. The scenario I laid out about the war and such is his invention - my intent is to attempt to verify or disprove that it is imminent, as he said. My primary intent is to take steps to alleviate it either way, because even if it is something that isn't happening soon, it is something that could happen." "Now, it could be that he merely has a very high opinion of himself and his abilities to make educated guesses at what is likely to happen, and that his companion shared these views. But if you say that Sevastian's master is in the service of Heaven, well, then isn't anything possible?"
"Thus far? Personally, only with the Sun and the Maharishi. I am a priestess of the former, who is by his nature perfect, and the latter is my mentor, and has proven himself a friend of mortals. The Sun is quiet on the affairs of Heaven, but the Maharishi tells me that while many of the Heavenly gods are beyond reproach, there are as many who are little more than self-interested bureaucrats." She smirks. "As above, so below, it would seem. Although to me, the remarkable thing is not how many in a position of heavenly authority are corrupt, but rather how many are not. I find that a hopeful sign." She pauses. "When I spoke of the 'what were they thinking' reaction, by the by, I spoke of common reactions to life's flukes and oddities."
"Indeed. I would like to avoid tipping our hand, but let us see what we may learn."

Damn him. K knew she had let her hand slip earlier. He must know she found him... pleasing to her eye. The way he looking into her eyes, distracting her, pissed her off. She respected it, but it was still grating. But she'd show him, yet. She'd let herself soften from what she was before, but she very-well knew how to play this game. At least she thought she did. Was she sweating? Damn him. He was too close. She took a step back. "Ehem. Well..." K folds her arms behind her head and tries to look about lazily. "...I've been expanding my portfolio of business interests in this area, and I couldn't help but hear of Mr. Ideal's similar interests, and conflicts of interest, in the area." "I think it would be mutually beneficial for both of us to meet some time soon and discus this. I may have some small bit of information regarding local trade that may be of interest to him. An observation, if you would. Is there a time I could meet with him tonight?"

This was very worrisome to K. She didn't have the right resources in place for anything like this. And what if Evangaleon Design (and the Heavens) were advocating slavery to hold off war? She needed to know more. A lot more. She felt like she was a blind Yedim thrashing about in a china shop. "Can you tell me more about this country that might war with this area?"
"Oh." She knew Ignis Divine? And was his priestess? One of the reasons K agreed to host this festival (besides all the money and influence) was her need to know what type of Exalted the Lady was. How could she approach the subject? She wasn't sure, yet, and decided to wait and see what happened. An Exalted priestess to the Sun (who disliked slavery) could prove a very useful ally, regardless. "Well, at the risk of raising some eyebrows with the paranoid, I'm very interested in following the ways of Ignis Divine and the Silver Lady, so perhaps we can talk on our travels latter on." "'As above, so below,' huh? I guess that makes sense. It's... more than a little nice to know some gods are beyond corruption." She was feeling a little better about the ways things might be.
"Well, most of my companions there are quite good at investigation and sneaky stuff. If there are any agents here, they could find them. Hell, Merlin walked around me for days before I even noticed him! He's a creepy bastard. Ha, ha!" "Eh, guys? What do you think? Could we find some spies?"

Meanwhile, strolling along beside the others Merlin is gleaning a wealth of information. "All this is very fascinating ladies. I must say that we certainly have found exciting company to keep!" Looking between the Aya and Beatrix, "I think that anyone here that is gleaning information, can do so easily. Discovering them, would be hard, for those without a good lay of the land. However, it is not impossible for those with enough skill." Sevastian brings his right hand to his chest and bows slightly. In doing so his dark hair falls forwards highlighting his genuinely kind smile. "It would be my pleasure to make sure such a meeting takes place madam K." The water dragon returns to his full six feet in height, placing his right hand behind his back, and smiles tilting his head slightly to the right. "And where might I find you this afternoon so that I might ... inform you of the time for such a meeting?"

When K comes to the "door", Evangelical nods towards the curtains that hang from the ceiling and go around his bed for Sevastian to pull on his way to answering. His massage gets a little more sensual then, to draw a moan or light gasp of pleasure from Purity. Enough that whoever answers knows exactly the reason (or at least will think they do) that "Ideal" is busy. His hands continue to work, but his ears are busy listening to who the visitor is. K? That girl he rescued all of those years ago? If "rescue" is the right word for a child that he personally made an orphan. That mission, so long ago, slavery was also on the line. Though how that mission had to turn out... "Slavery is better than death..." Evangelical ponders to himself. That girl and her parent would have been slaves as well, if it weren't for Design. Because of him, at least one of them got to live a better life. But this is a distraction that he didn't need. His earlier suspicions were coming true however. It seems that another of the group from a year ago have gathered. Fate works in odd ways. Of that, Evangelical is certain. With these things in mind, Evangelical finishes the next part of his plan. He'll have to wait until their unwanted guest leaves before he lets Sevastian in on it though.

Beatrix nods. "Falan is a nation just to the East of here, of a respectable size relative to most local nations, and much larger than the Dale. It is feudal in structure, built on the backs of serfs and structured by layers of nobility. Sometimes it almost seems that they are defined by defending themselves against Ma-Ha-Suchi, who leads the barbarians that occupy the lands to their north. Accordingly, most of the nobility is of a martial bent, and stays in power due to their continuing ability to marshal or maintain a defense against invasion. Like most feudal nations, theirs is an exceedingly weak economy, with their production of food and goods rising little above the level of what they consume."
"Certainly. When we get some time, I'll happily share all I know with you." She sounds like she really means the 'happily' part, too.
Beatrix smiles. Oh, she thinks, but this bunch will be most interesting. And she feels confident that they'll turn up some promising results, as well. Perhaps they'll even stick around after this adventure.

"That woman isn't going to make this simple for us. She'll try and find an alternative route to fixing the problems in Trademeet. In doing so, she'll likely investigate more than we would like her to. There are other problems as well. I ran into one of the Lunars we met on our mission a year ago here. I attempted to persuade her that I was not myself, but I have doubts as to how convinced she was. She said she wished to investigate the Maharishi, believing him to be a fake. He isn't, of course, but in doing so I'm sure that she will run into Beatrix." "Also, this circus is run by K...that child from all of those years ago. She was there last year as well, a Solar now. Hopefully, the other two, Amerin and that armored fellow, won't show up. I have a bad feeling however that Fate is playing a bad trick on me." "First, of course, we have to get our stories straight. I was foolish to give Contemporary Ideal an image so similar to my own. Luckily, Resplendent Destinies can't copy individuals. If I had taken a Resplendent Destiny last year, we might not of had this problem. However, I intended on no Exalted witnesses. If they are Exalted, they might see through the Arcane Fate and make the connection between myself and Contemporary Ideal." "I'm going to take on the Destiny of your younger brother, "Frevrick". If anyone questions your true master, it is a man named "Evangelical Design", who serves the Five-Score Fellowship. The Five-Score Fellowship are group of gods who police other gods, and sometimes send mortals to speak in their names. If the word "Sidereal" is ever mentioned, pretend ignorance. We'll lead them to believe that IF there is such a thing as a Sidereal, that Evangelical Design is merely a mortal tool of them, and not a group of gods." "Evangelical Design, however, has a younger brother named Contemporary Ideal. Ideal looks up to Design saving the world, though he of course can't follow him, and instead tries to do the best he can as a businessman. Evangelical Design, of course, is served by the expert Dragon-Blooded Sevastian. Because Design cares for his dear brother so much, he's letting you train his brother Frevrick to be Ideal's servant. Once Frevrick is trained, you will merely go back to Evangelical Design, who has other Dragon-Blooded. It's necessary to leave that open in case I need to take on other Destinies in the future." "After speaking with Beatrix, Ideal spoke with another woman about an important business agreement, and has left for some time. However, he kindly ordered that you go and serve Beatrix in helping her find another "solution" as a show of good faith. Frevrick will come with you, of course, as he needs to learn proper servant's manners somewhere. In doing this, we are going to keep an eye on their actions. Depending on their results, I may speak to them again as Contemporary Ideal." Evangelical Design looks to Purity sleeping, and goes into the drawer near his bed. He takes out the small wrapped box (Sevastian wrapped it, of course) with the bow on it (Sevastian tied the bow too) and puts it next to her, so she'll see it when she wakes up. Inside, of course, is a little ring made of starmetal. The ring has a large flower on it with thin and carefully placed petals. Evangelical Design studied actual flowers when making this, and spent much more time than was necessary to actually get the artifact to work. It is, of course, an Infinite Resplendent Amulet. He thought of using it to create the clothes that he would need after he spilled tea on his suit, but didn't want to just save the gift for Purity instead. This is what he meant by his comment of what she would do if she spilled tea on herself. He smiles slightly, but then realizes what he has done and gets a straight face. The Sidereal goes and hangs his nice robe up and puts on a white button down shirt with long sleeves and dark pants. He tucks it in, and then looks to the sword leaning against his bed. He wouldn't be able to bring something of that fine of quality. Going back into his drawer, he draws the much cheaper looking knife. It's made of steel, so obviously quality, but isn't decorated at the least. He tucks puts this on the side of his belt. Design ties back his long blue hair in a pony tail, as not to blow around in the wind so much. "Well Sevastian, I think it's time for us to visit the Maharishi, don't you think?"
