Re: OOC thread: Festivals are Good for Business
That's the thing.

I don't have anyone.

Pretty much the only reason I'm still draging my damn carcass around...

She's very sick. She's...had a really bad turn, this week. She just had to deal with the first stages of kidny failure. They fixed it, they think.

But...then...I don't know what happned. Her memory....she lost about 3 years.

The whole time she's known me. She...doesn't even know my name ,anymore. We're...trying. She's trying to get to know me, again. She thinks she feels...something, there.

But...she doesn't know me. I don't eally have anything, anymore.

As for aya....do what you might need to make use of her. You know her, mostly. Use as needed. Stash her away, or make use of her.

In reply to Aya (msg #431):

Oh, geeze, that sucks. I think the only suggestion I can possibly give is, if you still want to be with her, be there for her. It's...all you can do. My sincerest condolences, and my prayers are with you and her.

That's the drek of it, innit?

I do. You have no idea, how badly I want to be with her. But....I'm not doing so hot, myself.

The question I keep turning back to is....would she be better off, if she didn't have to deal with my shit too?

That's the key thing. 's always the key thing. What's best for her.

I would like to offer some helpful words here, but really and truly I don't have the wisdom to give you any real solid advice, beyond a few words. I recommend finding a minister or a counselor (better if they're both) to talk with about everything.

And I do mean everything.

Not very religious. Like, at all. Or, rather, kinda am, it's just...um. Odd.

As to the other....as with so much in my life, there's money issues.

Is medical insurance a possible avenue to help with payment?

Jeez. I'm really sorry for all this craziness going on.

It's odd, but I heard last week about a couple who had a similar problem. A woman lost all her memories, and had to relearn everything. She was married with a child. She never regained her memories, but she was able to cope and relearn her trade. She is still with her husband, and they had another child together.

In reply to Aya (msg #435):

If you don't mind that they will speak from the mormon perspective, if you're willing to give me a name and address or even just a phone number, I can ask that missionaries in your area look in on you. They are ALWAYS willing to help physically and spiritually, and, while again, we're a proselyte faith, we don't require you to convert before we're willing to help. (Just be aware they'll talk from the mormon perspective.) So if you just need people to talk to, or need help with things they can help with, they or the local ward would be delighted, I'm sure.

But only if you want me to give them your name and contact info so they can extend the offer. Mormons can be...almost TOO friendly. It's a very community-oriented faith, because much of our early history had us as only ourselves we could turn to. Thus, we're always looking for a way to extend help and neighborly love to others. So...if you want, lemme know.

I don't think you have. We just had a week or so of people being away, I think. Lemme shake some people awake and see if we can't get moving again.

I am cleaning, building, and shopping for the new arrival (due date 23rd) and the out of town family that that will bring in.

If everything goes well I will have a few hours FREE this afternoon to come and post up sufficiently interesting stunts for Act III of my Kidnapping Plan.

::looks::

If the only problem is that of returning empty-handed, oh, we can take care of that worry.

Thanks!

Actually.  I have been engaged for a year and a half.  No so sudden on this end :-)

Was in Costa Rica for the honeymoon.  It is very nice this time of year.

Got home to find out my sister and a bunch of my friends had TPed my condo. :-)

O those silly peoples!

Alright. I'm going to fast foward a bit; is everybody in the Overture thread done for the moment, or do they have more they want to do before they bed down?

Also, what is the watch order, if any, tonight?

In reply to Segev Stormlord (msg #452):

I can't think of anything I could add with Galen. If anyone has a suggestion, I am very much open to hearing them. (Collaboration leads to the best ideas.)

I guess Galen could go first in the watch order, given that the Captain is still a stranger, and the others might not want to trust a stranger on watch latter in the evening, when they may be in a deeper sleep.

Edit:
Just to reiterate, if there is a way I can help move the game along that I might have missed or not thought up, please do feel free to post it here or PM me.

Re: OOC thread: Festivals are Good for Business
Really, I think we're beyond plot-moving time in our thread right now, Galen. We're kind of waiting for Merlin to drop in and deliver what he's learned so we can go bully some poor hapless soldiers. I mean, so we can go reason together like human beings.
However, there's always time for idle chit-chat and introductions! We could simply talk to each other about each other.

the baby is home and sleeping on my chest having a little bonding time. Amazing what you can do with only 1 hand free.
