GAME Summary

Game One (Beta Test)

Races involved:

Elir
Zari
Archadians
Quajypi Nirii
Kiljorin
Triconcordancy
E'Takar
Solari
Tahut Maru
Tarkunt
Vigiles
Vang'Lorians
Tribenites

At the beginning of the game the Triconcordancy, E'Takar & Archadians started a pact which allowed themselves the ability to reasearch techs in 1 turn, by all 3 of them working on 1 turn worth of the tech and paying 1 unit of each tech.  They also worked together in trading 1 tech to multiple races for a different tech each.  Then they traded those techs amongst themselves.  Gaining a definite leap in technologies at the beginning of the game.

ADAM the NPC race began talks with the Zari in private and the Triconcordancy (seperately) to provide them with slaves to convert into assimilated abominations to fuel their war effort.

The Elir and the Vigiles began talks and started to build diplomatic relationships with one another in order to exploit and dominate other races in the galaxy.  (No targets were picked, just a general agreement that this was necessary.)

The Kiljorin began a mercenary military, which could be purchased and used for protection and attacks against other races.  The Triconcordancy warned others against accepting this offer, while also commending the Kiljorin in public for their entrepeneurship.  No one purchased any of the Kiljorin mercenaries, but many races toyed with the idea in secret.

The Quajypi Nirii's planets sun went nova and destroyed most of their race.

Colonisation began!  And the Solari, Vigiles, Triconcordancy and E'Takar jumped on the opportunity.  Some claiming planets they intended to terraform turns later, but kept others away from colonizing them for fear of brokering a war.

ADAM attacked and assimilated the Zari, after the race cetrayed the contract ADAM had made with them.  A coalition was formed to rise against the ADAM threat made up of the Triconcordancy, E'Takar and Solari.

While the group went to war with ADAM, the Vigiles swept into the Elir homeworld and "liberated" the ruling regime from their militant and riotous followers taking the world and placing it under the control of the Vigiletta authority.

ADAM was destroyed, finally with the entrance of the Tahut Maru who helped assault their homeworld on the final attack, after the Triconcordancy took the opportunity to sieze the Kiljorin homeworld militarily.  The Vigiles then attacked the Triconcordancy retaking the Kiljorin homeworld and adding it to the Vigiletta authority.

A deal was brokered where the Vigiles were allowed to keep the homeworld if the military units were donated to the UA in the Tricons name.  This was all well and good until the Vigiles took the opportunity to rip the military production from Ronkaro and replant it at their homeworld, unbeknownst to the Triconcordancy.

The E'Takar then attacked and subdued the Archadian homeworld, while the Vigiles and Tricons still debated over the Kiljorin homeworld rites.

This drew the Solari into a need to talk about dismantling the E'Takar and Triconcordancy threat, seeing how they were close to a victory and had finished colonising the last remaining planets.  They entered into private discussions with the Tarkunt and Vigile empires.  And a plan was devised.

The Tricons also entered into talks with the Tarkunt, and their services were asked for, to give information to him.  No information was given, but the Tarkunt lulled him into a false belief that he was going to help him.

The Vang'Lorians then made a threat to attack the three coaltion members against ADAM if they kept any of the planets they had gained.  The E'Takar and Tricons as a result attacked the Vangs and nearly exterminated them, if not for the intervention of the Solari and the Tarkunt.

The E'Takar also brockered a deal with the Vang to protect their homeworld with the Solari against the Tricons who were coming to claim it.  The Tricons met their death at the hands of their once close ally and coalition member.  In the same turn the Tarkunt assasinated the Tricon and E'Takar leader.

They lied and said the Vang sent them, but really it was a calculated effort on behald of the Solari, Vigile, (newly added Maru) and Tarkunt empires.  Again they were assasinated in the next turn and this forced the now shaky truce between the E'Takar and Tricons back into a collected effort to eradicate the Tarkunt menace.

The Solari feigned getting assasinated, and took the opportunity to strike against the Tricons and took some of their planets.

The E'Takar blamed the Vigiles for sending the Tarkunt and when approached by the Tricons, the Vigiles told the Tricons a small amount of info about a planned attack coming at them by the Solari, in an thumb twisting moment where they didn't know where their loyalties lay and felt that they had been betrayed by the Solari, Tarkunt and Maru.

The Tricons counter attacked the Solari and the Tarkunt once again hit the two major races enough to give incentive to create a NAT between the Solari, Tricon and E'Takar.

The Tarkunt were embargoed by the UA for repeated assasinations.

The Vigiles, Tarkunt, Solari and Tahut Maru then added a fifth member to their group.  The beaten Vangs, which were gifted two planets by the E'Takar and were allowed to rebuild their fleet.  Only to attack and destroy a Tricon world as soon as the opportunity arrived.

Meanwhile the Tricon who had sold and invested in productino techs the entire game had become a force to be reckoned with.  Also with the completion of space stations they bided their time, hiding behind planetary shields and brokering a deal with the Triebenites to help them in return for other races planets.  Namely the Tarkunt who stripped their planets of their resources, trapped them and sent the production units to the Tahut Maru.

The Tahut Maru entered into peaceful talks with the Tricons, only to attack them in the next turn.

The Tricons then confided to the E'Takar that they were close to dominating the galaxy, which lead the E'Takar into helping the Solari gaurd two of their worlds.  Meanwhile the Solari attacked the E'Takar on two worlds in order to add it to the total for a solo win, which they wanted to gift to the Vigiles.

The Vigiles in turn would change their name to a collective name S.T.T.V.V. Solari, Tahut Maru, Tarkunt, Vang'Lorian, Vigile; to steal a win without actually having to create a Federation.

They also needed to tak all of the Triebenite holdings and have the Tahut Maru and the Vangs gift their worlds to the Vigiles.  This did not happen though, and the overwhelming military might of the Tricons won out.  But it was extremely close and the coalition almost stole the victory with their contrived devious plot.  However, they failed due to unclear communication, giving the Triconcordancy the victory by solo win with 31 / 60 planets.

Game 2 summary:

Races Involved:

Xi'Luna
Jakar
Veteres Immortals
Dampqroblebi
Quiqua & Gyarod
Crystalons
Crysthmos
Vel'Dar
Myzerittai

At the beginning of game cycle 2, races has already began offering secret alliances.  Namely the Xi'Luna and the Damprqroblebi, who decided to work together to create a pirating fleet that rivaled some races armies.  Unbeknownst to the other races, this alliance of darkness was bound together with the intent of betraying all other races to their devious cause.

Meanwhile the Quiqua & Gyarod had decided to create themselves a race trained in the dark arts of espionage, but in order to do so, had to somwhat alienate them from the other races in the galaxy.  The Crystalons and the Myzerittai joined together in a research union and invited the scientific Vel'Dar who were also working with the Dampqroblebi and Jakar in a research union.  The intent was not to betray anyones trust but rather gain as many scientific pursuits as possible.

The Veteres Immortals began to stretch out their hands in friendship to the other races, but were secretive also about their churches that they were trying to place throughout the galaxy.

Lastly the noble and proud Jakar entered into the diplomatic scene and were able to create a bond with the Vel'Dar and the Dampqroblebi as well as the Cyrstalons and the Myzerittai.

Piracy began to ripple throughout the galaxy, presumably under the control of the Pirating Council lead by the Pirate King, but realistically in the hands of the Xi'Luna and Dampqroblebi empires.  The Qiqua & Gyarod were the first targets, where the Xi'Luna and Dampqroblebi used pirating fleets to weaken their military before engaging them with their own forces later.

On the other side of the galaxy the proud Jakar entered into a research union with the Crystalons, Myzerittai and Vel'Dar.  However, they continued to give their techs to their friends the Dampqroblebi, who in turn were in league with the Xi'Luna Hive who began to spread themselves throughout the galaxy like a plague.  Colonising planet after planet in their wake.

Soon the Qiqua & Gyarod fell and were assimilated by the Veteres Immortals, who the Jakar suspected of being one of the arbiters of the pirating menace.  Relations began to faulter between the Jakar and Veteres Immortals quickly and lead to an almost act of war, that was only settled between a gladiator match between the Veteres and Jakar champions.  The Jakar ended up losing in the tournament, but the respect was mended between the two races.

Because of the moutning threat of the Pirates and the tensions diplomatically the UGC (United Glactic Council) was formed by the Dampqroblebi and joined by nearly every other race.  With the exception of the Qiqua who had withdrawn themselves and were about to become conquered with the aid of pirating vessels hired by the Xi'Luna and Dampqroblebi.

The Crystalons felt threatened by the pirating threats and devised ways around their cloaking techniques with the help of the Vel'Dar, Jakar and Myzerittai.  Slowly but surely they were beginning to find ways of intercepting the elusive pirating vessels and putting a face to the menace.

Although the Jakar strongly suspected the Xi'Luna to be one of the members, they stood behind their allies the Dampqroblebi even at the behest of the Crystalons who condemned them as pirates.

The Jakar however were the first to find the Pirate Lord's space station Lost Port and destoryed it in one fell swoop of their massive military engine.  At this point though the Dampqroblebi had introduce the Xi'Luna to the Vel'Dar and the Jakar and talks were beginning to emerge about a possible Federation.

The talks were merely a ploy to keep the other races at bay, while the Xi'Luna gobbled up more planets to produce military.  In the end the Xi'Luna betrayed the trust of the Jakar and the Vel'Dar and started their war against the Jakar, Myzerittai and the Crystalons.  Their massive numbers do to colonisation efforts broke through the ranks of the three major powers in the galaxy and soon the Myzerittai were merged with the Crystalons for protection.

Soon afterwards the Vel'Dar, who actually was seemingly one consciousness transposed into many left this galaxy and the race of the Vel'Dar was taken over by drug dealing pirate twins.  The Dampqroblebi's leadership went insane and fell in on themselves as the Xi'Luna Hive descended in on them.  Leaving only the Crystalons and the Jakar to face this mounting threat, seeing that the Veteres Immortals were exiled after their homeworld succombed to Xi'Luna rule.

The Cyrstalons superior technology and the Jakar's resilient nature did little to slow the horde mentality of the Xi'Luna Hive.  And eventually the Xi"luna Hive recieved a solo victory with 27 out of 52 planets on turn 18.

In this version of Empirium, the United Armada, a bastion of peace and hope, had been destroyed and long forgotten by the remnants of an ancient Empire of Insectoids.  Without a hub of universal protection and diplomacy, the galaxy had a more militant feel to it.

In the beginning there were talks between multiple races, each race feeling out the others before any formal diplomatic treaties were made, however general trade flowed freely throughout the galaxy, filling the coffers of many of the interstellar markets.  Meanwhile, the races of the galaxy converged upon a place known as the Galactic Seat, where the United Armada once ruled and began establishing a crude diplomatic hold and trade hub.

The Oron, a militant race made up of various Clans which loosley held control of their planet with constant civil war, began to speak with many of the races in the galaxy. Making bold statements and asking for submission rather than friendship.  Apparently the only way the Oron new to have allies, where if they allowed them within the Oron Clan system they would be considered subdued by the Oron Empire.  Of course this news went over like a tird in a punch bowl to many of the races, namely the Sol'Qi'Tak'Arians and Hep Ryderz who were very warlike races with little patience for threats.

The Fabricat offered submission to the Oron with one diplomat and conspiredagainst him with other diplomats to the other races.  The Sol called out the Oron with their "Warriors Challenge" but instead did a sneak attack on the Fabricat homeworld Fabricat, exiling the people into space, where one of the Fabricat Merchant rulers "The Autocrator" began rebuilding his army in the shadow of a world known as Nar Shadda, where he quickly overwhelmed the political structue their and gained the populace to his will.  The remaining Fabricat Empire stole away the planet Oron while in transit to the Titans who the Oron had asked to protect them, but the Fabricat were too few and fell to the Titan Eos's fury.  As the Sol, finished subduing the planet Fabricat, the Hep Ryderz attacked the Bloodlocks while their main force worked in unison with the Charisians and Darastrix to assault Hellforge.

While the dignitaries were fighting amongst themselves at the Galactic Seat, The Cult of Mordred attacked and took the Seat, killing many of the joined ships and imprisoning their leadership.  Most all of the races cried out against this attack, namely the Hep Ryderz who lost a good deal of dignitaries and close friends to their Hero of Marz Lancaster.  However, the Autocrator, bent his knee and gained the favor of the Cult of Mordred and a vicious ally.

In the following months, The Oron were eventually attacked and mostly killed, the few remaining becoming slaves or raiders.  The Fabricat were also nearly wiped out, the few remaining heading to Nar Shadda under the protection of the Autocrator and his Masters the Cult of Mordred.  The Hep Ryderz mounted an attack on the Gacatic Seat, but were halted by an electrical storm conjured by the Cultits.  The Cultists then jetisoned all Hep Ryder personnel out into the abyss of space where they died a grueling death.

Behind the scenes the Aluvar were in talks with everyone.  Riding the fence as it were between the Cult of Mordred and their followers and the Coalition forces who were opposed to the Cult.  The Hep Ryderz grew suspicious of the Aluvar and decided to take their planet in order to see if their suspicions were correct, however they were also talking with the Dark Empire unbeknownst to their allies.

Lancaster (The Hero of Marz) and (Eos) The Titan faced off against each other in a duel, where Lancaster was bit in half and Eos lost an eye to a rocket launcher.  This battle between the two gained the respect of the Titans and Eos resurrected Lancaster in a fabeled space station he found through exploring the galaxy called "The Holy Grail" by the Cult of Merlin who offered the task to him.

The Sol, Charisians and the Darastrix however, were forming closer ties amonst each other and gaining in strength through their mutual help.  Also, the Titans offered to create a Federation against the Cult of Mordred and their ilk, and all races, but the Vitrail, Vandornians, Bloodlocks, Aluvar and Dark Empire joined.

The Hep Ryderz finally curst through the storm at the Seat only to meet their death and destruction by the Cult of Mordred.  They took the opportunity to also attack the Bloodlocks AND the Aluvar, winning those two conquests.  When they found Cult of Mordred followers defending the Aluvar homeworld, they believed their suspicions were correct and quickly tried to vilify the Aluvar.  The Sol began to attack the Vitrail Empire at their space station SS1 and the Bloodlocks met their demise to the Hep Ryderz who claimed them to be monstrous Jive turkeys.

Behind the scenes the Sol were indeed not in league with the Cult of Mordred as the Dark Empire stated publically, neither were the Hep Ryderz, although the Hep Ryderz were still communicating with the Dark Empire about possible trades and other moves that they were considering making.  The Darastrix however, were visited by the Cult of Merlin, where the Cult offered to protect them from the other races, since they were pure of heart and just.

The Aluvar were in fact in league with the Cult more than they appeared.  Hoping to gain an advantage by being a member in secret.  However, when the Dark Empire stated that they were in league with their masters the ALuvar rejected it completely.  This put them at odds with everyone, and left the Aluvar a drift in space, looking to regain their homeworld, where they began to barter with the Coalition forces for help and finally forsook the Cult totally.

The Cult however, retook the Aluvarian homeworld from the Hep Ryderz while they were still trying to subjugate it and since the Aluvar rejected them, they decided to keep the planet as their own for their own dark devices.

An attack was mounted by the fledgling Coalition of the Darastrix, Charisian, Sol'qi'tak'arian and Hep Ryder nations against the Aluvarian Homeworld to retake it from the Cult, as well as an attack on Nar Shadda, the Dark Empires homeworld.  They suffered defeat at Nar Shadda and Elysium at the hands of the Cult of Mordred.  The Sol however finished off the Vitrail Empire claiming their worlds and the Hep Ryderz finished off the Bloodlocks, claiming their worlds.  In a shocking turn of events the Tinkers were contracted by the Cult of Mordred and attacked the Hep Ryderz as well as the Sol, but were defeated at both locations, drawing yet another race into the war.

The Titans however, were being criticised by the other races in the Federation for focusing on colonisation and protecting their own borders and grew weary of being in charge, preferring to rest within their paradises.  Eos gave up the control of the Titan Empire to the Hep Ryderz and his friend Lancaster.  Making the Hep Ryderz the new powerhouse in the galaxy as they also found the lost ship "Excaliber."

After the losses by coalition forces on Nar Shaddai & Elysium Nirvana last, it seemed that it was only inevitable that the Cult of Mordred would seed their rights to the planets with their acomplices the Tinkers and the Dark Empire in tow.

However, as the smoke cleared on Nar Shadda and the Dark Empire sent off their fleet to Fabricat which they reclaimed although they suffered some losses by the automated defense systems of the Sol'qi'tak'arians.  The Sol'1i'tak'arians launched an assault themselves at Nar Shaddai once again.

Their forces though were caught up in another electromagnetic storm, halting their arrival.

The Tinkers homeworld although defended by a few cultists and some mechanized Tinker ships, was assaulted by the Charisians who defeated the military there and have begun subjugating the planet.

And on Elysium a tremendous battle took place for the liberation of the Aluvar Menagerie where the joint troops of the Sol'qi'tak'arians, Hep Ryderz and Darastrix fought 5 cultists and were victorious.

After finally penetrating the storm placed by the Cultists around Nar Shaddai, the Sol'qi'tak'arians met defeat once again to the combined efforts of Dark Sorcery, Cultists powers and Mettalic behemoths of the Dark Empire.

However, the combined forces of the Charisians and the Sol'qi'tak'arians were able to wrest free Fabricat from the grip of the Dark Empire, although their are stories of heavy losses during the battle.

The Hep Ryderz did indeed seemingly merge with the Titans as they began to peacufully begin subjugation of Titan worlds.  However on Bane, the Hep Ryderz were assaulted by a combined group of XCorp and Tinkers, while rumors of a minefield being established around Luci is talked of abroad by less than savory sources.  Some sort of mercenary unit seemingly who escaped the destruction at Oron.

Pail the homeworld ot hte Tinkers was also successfuly defended by the Charisians after a hard pressed battle against the Cult of Mordred. No doubt trying to gain the planet back for the Tinkers who sold their souls to their dark purposes.

The Coalition started by the Darastrix, Charisians, Hep Ryderz and Sol'Qi'Tak'Arians finally became a fledgling Federation, called the "Freedom Guard Federation" whose values were to rid the galaxy of those who would seek to defile it for their dark purposes.  The Dark Empire also began a Coalition of sorts with the Tinkers and XCorp.

The majority of space was left without the sounds of battle, save for Kun, colony of the Vandornians that was attacked by the Hep Ryderz, who easily took the planet since the Vandornian troops were probably left on their homeworld.

Also, pirates were reportedly destroyed at Luci by the Aluvar as they attempted to raid the already battle weary race.

After a brief peace, The Dark Empire mounted an assault on two of the Darastrix's planets, taking one and destroyed at the other.  Meanwhile the Hep Ryderz finished off the Vandornians, who gifted their planet to the Dark Empire for protection.

Once again the Federated army mounted an attack at the Dark Empire territory and once again they met a Cult of Mordred minefield.  Its said that one of the Sol'qi'tak'arian captains through his hat in disgust, a Hep Ryderz captain launched a space rat from a torpedo bay and a Darastrix captain grimaced. But the Hep Ryderz also gained a tremendous ally when they found and conquered the Lady of the Lake, an ancient wyrm queen from the race known as the Vel'Dar.  Her psychic abilities were formidable and they put her indefense of one of their kep planets.  A hulking Space wyrm surrounding the planet itself like a cocoon.

The Dark Empire began reeling.  After the loss of MS-1 to the Freedom Gaurd Federation of the Charisians, Sol'qi'tak'arians, Hep Ryderz and Darastrix AND the loss of Vandorn after a massive battle with over 100 units from both sides battling over the skies above the once homeworld of the Vandorians.  Casualties on both sides were heavy, but at the end of the battle the Freedom Gaurd remained victorious and began subjugation of the planet.

Apparently they were able to bypass the legendary electromagnetic storms of the Cult of Mordred that had until this time, provided a layer of defense to the Dark Empires territory.

Although the Dark Empire may be reeling from their losses, they were the harbringers of a rampant era of random events which have scoured the galaxy.

A space Plague has hit 2 of the major races in this galaxy.  The Charisians and the Aluvar.  Bringing with it a death toll.  Hundreds of people reeling from an unknown disease.

A Golden age has begun in the Darastrix territory, where their scientists and artists have increased their peoples pride in their cultural herritage.

The Sol'qi'tak'arians are experiencing major solar flares from their primary sun, disrupting communication and hampering trade within their territory.

The Dark Empire have had tremendous earthquakes on their homeworld, devastating their industries of production.

And the Hep Ryderz were hit with two bazaar occurences.  One being the discovery of forgotten technology on the Titan homeworld and the second being the sudden and mysterious death of their Leader Lancaster.  Plunging their people into a time of mourning for the Hero of Marz.

After a final stand at the Galatic Seat the Cult of Mordred 100 strong, fought against an assault of 300+ Freedom Gaurd Federation units.  The casualties were massive, especillay for the Hep Ryderz who sped off before the rest of the Federation and fought the Cult alone, dieing to a man before their allies came to fight on.  The Darastrix also suffered heavy losses and reportedly lost all of their ships in the battle that they sent as well.  But in the end, the Galactic Seat was liberated only to find all of the remaining hostages were experimented on and tortured.  A grisly sight indeed.

In the coming cycles the Freedomg Guard were able to hold onto their captured planets gaining a Federated Win.

The Dark Empire forsook the Cult of Mordred's ways, returning to a more merchantlike trading fleet who still practised their Dark arts in the corners of space.  Those Dark arts eventually lead to the fomation of new planets through a spell called the "Void."  The Dark Emprie changed their name to the Vryheid Collective and became a prominent black market distributor within the galaxy.  No doubt biding their time to regain what they had lost at the hands of the Freedom Guard Federation.

As for the XCorp, they were able to stem the tide of the virus which plagued their homeworld, after being absorbed by the Aluvar.  Their numbers flourished and their psionic abilities were elevated by their allies the Aluvar, who to this day allow a member of XCorp a position on their Ministry of Secrets.

The Aluvar were successful in their neutrality.  Being on of the larger trade partners with the Freedom Guard Federation, they eventually became a tourist attracition within the galaxy, although they continued to remain neutral in their corner of the galaxy. Especially after successfully finding a long lost race called the Jakar, who were sent a drift through time and perhaps reality itself on a fabeled ship known as the "Black Star."

The Charisians kept their ties to the Freedom Guard Federation, becoming one of the main races that did trade with the other races in the galaxy.  Their shrewd business acumen eventually placed one of their leaders at the head of the Federations Treasury and Marketing Guild.  Its said to this day the Charisians still seem to be "sailing" through space on outdated Terran water vessels.

The Sol'Qi'Tak'Arians remained with the Federation as well, heading its technology research and scientific advancement.  Within only a few short years after the Federations win over the galaxy, the Sol were key developers of a new space technology that allowed instantaneous transport from one place to another.  They were fabeled as the "Gate" builders.

The Darastrix, proud, noble and just, remained allies with the Federation and were instrumental in a brokered peace with the Aluvar, who had been their allies from the beginning.  Their fairness and honor became legendary throughout the galaxy and the Cult of Merlin decided to stay on their homeworld, creating a massive temple where all those who sought enlightenment and peace could attend.

The Hep Ryderz were almost sent to oblivion after their battle at the Galactic Seat.  But the few remaining Hep Ryderz were given great places of honor and allowed to remain the leaders of the Freedom Guard Federation, where to this day, they fly the skies seeking out injustice with one hand on a trigger and the other hand open in firendship and peace.

And so the story ends...  For a little while...

Game 4 Summary:  The Genius Insanity of Thanos_Infinity

Races Involved:

Paramorphiums
Mingviri
Veron Peacekeepers
Pamiraje
Strigidae
Aether
The Clave
The Corsa
Synth
Syhar
Seraphim

Empirium: Age of Exploration by Thanos_Infinity

In the times before times there were stars and emptiness. Then there was intelligence amongst the stars and with that brought civilization. With civilization came conflict for it was not often that a single race of intelligent beings emerged upon the galactic stage by itself. Over the ages the left over peoples of the civilizations that found themselves pushed aside joined together to form the United Armada. Sooner or later the great and mighty empires fell in upon themselves leaving only the United Armada.

The cycle continued and almost a dozen races emerged at about the same. Some were peaceful, some were not, but all were found easily by the United Armada. All the races accepted the invitation to the Mega-Station Home, where the United Armada held itself apart from the rest of the galaxy, near the center of it. It was not long before several of the races that felt less secure formed an open alliance called P3.

As the races extended their explorers into the galaxy they did so without knowing the dangers. Not only were the other races somewhere out there, but there were environmental dangers, space monsters, and the vestiges of ancient races and their automated defense systems. Among the ancient races were the Vel’Dar Space Whales, lost without their all father or queen, Automated Kil’jorin Attack Sharks, Sol'qi'tak'arian's Automated Fleets wondering the space lanes, Mine Fields, Solar Powered Defense Arrays, Xi’Luna Hive Beasts who’s minds were lost without their queens, the Insane Crystalon Nano-Swarms, and of course the infamous Insane Triconcordancy Mother Ships.

While some races explored closer to home, the galaxy forced others down natural worm holes and across the galaxy. The Paramorphiums found the longest natural worm hole early on which flung them over 30 sectors and near towards the Seraphim and the Pamiraje. Speaking of which, the Pamiraje were easily the most lucky of races for they had not only found a planet early on, but two unique artifacts. It was the Paramorphiums great fortune to find a planet near this worm hole. Meanwhile, the Pamiraje were exploring en force on the same cycle that the Paramorphiums send a small fleet to guard their newly completed colony. If the Paramorphiums had not had the home ground advantage they would have easily been swept aside by the almost double sized Pamiraje exploration fleet. It would have all come to naught if the Pamiraje would just have given orders to approach peacefully.

The galaxy exploded into a storm of lies, incriminations, and secret deals and betrayals. The Veron Peacekeepers were convinced that the Pamiraje were attacked as were the Clave and the Seraphim. All three races came to the aid of the Pamiraje only to find that they had been lied to or at least mislead. The Paramorphiums were in fact the defenders and had completed their colony despite the Pamiraje attack.

After that things settled down. The P3 alliance became the P3 Federation. Soon the Mingviri and the Seraphim joined in with the Corsa Strain, Synth, and Paramporhiums who founded P3. The galaxy was split with 5 races in P3 and 5 races outside P3. Then the Giant Space Amoebas invaded the Galactic East decimating the Syhar civilization. The United Armada offered a reward for the any race that would help them defeat the GSA and offered many credits to allow them to put Galactic Industries upon their planets. The Strigidae took all the factories that the UA could build. Behind the scenes the Veron and the Clave, along with the Pamiraje were attempting to form their own Federation, Prodeus.

Meanwhile, the Aether had discovered that they could ascend through the use of a series of vastly complex technologies. Unfortunately it would also convert the entire galaxy into energy and reform it across the divide. No sentient race, but the Aether, would survive the conversion. The Aether did not care about this small detail, but knew that the other races would, so they hid that small detail from the foolish lesser beings. The Strigidae, however, were true explorers and the cover story that the Aether brought to the galaxy was that only 9 sectors would be destroyed in the process. There was a very short war with only 1 casualty on either side. In the end the Strigidae were convinced to help the Aether and eventually send them over a 1000 total energy.

Meanwhile, the P3 were not all that peaceful as their name had implied, for they resented the Pamiraje and their unprovoked attack. The invasion came and many planets and stations fell, but the Proteus Federation was formed that cycle and P3 pulled back or incite a full on galactic war. Meanwhile, the Pamiraje were absorbed fully into Proteus as their leaders could no longer find the will to prevail. However, a small group of rebels defected from Proteus and became the Pamiraje in exile. It was a long time, but eventually they started wreaking havoc amongst the P3 trade routes.

An unprecedented event occurred when the Aether auctioned off a planet which did not fit within their defense grid in the North-West sector of the galaxy. They had developed Vortex Fields, which scrambled the navigation systems of ships in hyper space within a certain range. With their main grouping of some 13 planets completely surrounded and guarded by dozens of stations with their Vortex Fields, the Aether also developed Hyper Space Missile Launchers. They could not defend themselves, but they could lob missiles into Hyper-Space to help defend other locations within a short range.

The galaxy once again found peace when the GSA were defeated by a combined effort of the Proteus Federation members, the Strigidae, and the United Armada forces. However, the P3 where looking for dominion of the galaxy, but were unable to focus their technological research power or physical might in an aggressive manner fast enough. The Strigidae had found a unique artifact that would allow them to reset all of the hyper space pathways through the galaxy, the Zari Space Rotation Device. It took 4 cycles to research and 40E to activate, but for 1 cycle all travel throughout the galaxy would cease…..

The Strigidae started plotting. They paid for the location of various races worlds, which the Aether were happy to provide. The Strigidae also offered the Veron Peacekeepers a method of gaining their honorable objective of the cleansing of the galaxy of all Xi’Luna. The Veron would send them their entire military, which was not even 5% of the Strigidae might, while the Veron joined P3 as a spy.

Little did either race know that the Seraphim had all along been a traitorous deceiver within P3, biding their time and finding all of P3’s member’s planets. They also helped P3 decide as a Federation to build Warp Gates over all of their planets. This would allow the Seraphim to invade, bypassing the Interdiction Field defenses the P3 all had. Unfortunately the Seraphim Empire has grown to the point that the sheer weight of bureaucracy was drowning it in a morass of indecision. As the empire built more and more space stations things ran slower and slower.

As the age was coming to an end, the Aether were poised to start the final operation, which would last 6 cycles and cost them some 5000 resources and had proven that a planet could be artificially created. The P3 and the Proteus were negotiating to combine their federations, pulling all but the Aether and Strigidae in their fold. However, the Strigidae had been busy and had build space stations as forward supply depots for their invasions. In a jump up brilliance the Seraphim leadership convinced P3 to send its entire defense fleet to attack a planet guarded by a huge gathering of the dreaded Crystalon Nano-Swarm. However, the Seraphim were unable to mobilize their fleet fast enough to capitalize on it by attacking all of the worlds of the P3 members. Even if they had, the war would have gone badly for them for it was at that time that the Strigidae chose to free the galaxy from the tethers of its oppressive governments.

In one mighty swoop the Strigidae forces swept across the galaxy. They attacked over 30 planets in a single cycle. The P3 forces, despite superior assistance technology, were off fighting space monsters. The member’s fleets, gutted by the recruiting requirements of the Federation, were of little use against the Strigidae’s massive numbers. Only the Synth Home World held sufficient force to repel the Strigidae. Proclaiming their wishes to the galaxy through the Galactic Seat they waited till the perfect time and set off the Zari Space Rotation Device.

Hyper Space and Normal Space no longer were connected. Natural and artificial Worm Holes were temporally sealed. Warp Gates could not find the coordinates of any other Warp Gate. Travel within the galaxy came to a horribly disturbing halt.

Meanwhile, the Strigidae forces had a full cycle in which to subjugate the worlds who’s planetary shields had failed against the Strigidae shield busting technology. The other worlds who’s shields had withstood the onslaught would soon find the peace of Strigidae rule. However, with 55 fully colonized planets within their control and the technology to influence 4 more the Strigidae had become the obviously dominant race of the galaxy. Many of the other races bowed immediately to their benevolent rule, but others were forced into extinction. 3 Cycles later, the galaxy was cleanses of the Xi’Luna Hive Beasts. However, a half dozen races still held their genetic code…..

Game 9 Summary:  The Power of Hex

Races Involved:

The Collective
Koinatsune
Nertakus
Travonians
Wer Xiekivi
Vivum

In the beginning, all races were invited to an ancient station in the center of the galaxy by the United Armada. Each sent diplomats, and at first, all races seemed committed to peaceful, and prosperous, trade.

Behind the scenes, however, there were a few hiccups. The proud draconic race of Wer Xiekivi, and the ancient, logical thinkers of the Collective disagreed over the price of a technology, and tensions over the negotiations escalated until the two cut off all relations with each other.

In another part of the galaxy, the friendly, but formal fox-people of the Koinatsune expanded to their western border, where they met the territory of the Nertakus, a race of laid-back gamers living in a virtual world. With the Nertaku spooked by the Koinatsune's superior firepower, and the Koinatsune offended by the implications they would use it against their neighbor, the United Armada was called in to secure a peace treaty between the two races, before things got out of hand.

As those tensions rose, alliances were formed - the forest people of the Travonians became close friends with the Collective, while the Koinatsune befriended both Wer Xiekivi and the curious, artificial lifeforms of the Vivum.

These groups would soon come to blows, however, as the forces of Wer Xiekivi and the Collective met. The Collective struck first, initially with a probing attack at a border world, easily rebuffed, followed by a massive alpha strike directly against Wer Xiekivi's homeworld of Okarthel.

With their homeworld under occupation, Wer Xiekivi turned to the galaxy at large for assistance, but the Travonians backed up their allies, the Collective, in an attempt to keep the rest of the galaxy from interfering. Instead, they mediated a series of peace talks between the two warring races, and after much deliberation, a treaty was signed that neither party could easily dissolve, and the Collective removed their forces from Xiekiv space.

But it was not long before war broke out once more. The Vivum, much like the Koinatsune, grew tired of the Nertaku's casual approach to diplomacy, and their continued implications that the lives of silicon creatures such as themselves held little value. Upon learning that the Nertaku possessed almost no military, they decided to take matters into their own hands, and struck nearly every planet their neighbor owned. And they convinced the Koinatsune to join the assault from their side of space, as well.

Unfortunately, the Koinatsune neglected to consider the peace treaty that they had signed, and found themselves Sanctioned by the UA. With their other neighbor, the Travonians, threatening to come to the aid of the Nertaku by conquering the Koinatsune, the UA deemed it prudent to continue to enforce the treaty between the foxes and the elves, even as they denied trading rights to the Koinatsune.

Once again, peace talks were called for. But this time, rather than demanding concessions from the victim for the return of their worlds, the Travonians called for concessions from the Vivum and Koinatsune for their naked aggression, demanding they return all they had stolen and confine their ships to their own territory. The Vivum insisted they had no cause to do so, and demanded the Travonians remove the space stations they were building in Vivum space.

Unsurprisingly, this peace conference was not as successful. Now with the Vivum and Travonians, two of the strongest races in the galaxy, at odds, the Vivum withdrew from the Nertaku worlds to focus on the greater threat. The Travonian stations were dismantled by force, while several Vivum locations were taken by the Travonians in turn. The Collective, too, joined the fight, assaulting the Koinatsune where the Travonians could not.

The Travonians retook the Nertaku homeworld. But rather than try to defend it, the Vivum fleet jumped through the warp gate directly into Travonian space, always seemingly one step ahead and never willing to engage with the superior Commanders of the Travonian military. Focused on the Travonians, the Vivum gave the Nertaku most of their planets back, as the two major powers settled into what looked to be a protracted war.

The Travonian leader, Eldritch Arrow, had other plans. Faced with a true threat, and unable to convince his people to take the steps he deemed necessary, he took matters into his own hands. Activating an arcane superweapon, he awoke terrible power within the Travonian space stations and military. While the civilian populace fled - defecting to any nearby race that seemed sane, the bulk of the Travonian territory was overwhelmed by Eldritch Arrow's dark magic.

The Vivum decided that was more than they were willing to go up against directly. Instead, they turned on the Nertakus again, who hadn't done much to improve their defenses. Even more thorough this time, the Vivum and Koinatsune fleet took every single world the Nertaku held, this time with no threat of sanctions. The Travonians weren't really engaging in diplomacy anymore, after all.

On the other side of the galaxy from the Nertaku, the remaining two races saw the writing on the wall: With the Nertaku conquered, and the Travonians crazed, the sum of the galaxy's power was in the hands of the Vivum-Koinatsune coalition. Wer Xiekivi, always on good terms with both races, were quick to join the budding Federation. The Collective, however, found themselves unable to convince those three races to accept them, and without their strongest ally, soon retreated back to their sector of space, isolating themselves once more.

Together, the new Federation, Team Three Star, was able to beat back the eldritch abominations that the Travonians had become. And with none left who could challenge their combined might, they quickly became the leading authority in the galaxy, cleansing it of monsters, ensuring that artificial life was respected, and, of course, making sure everyone always had time for tea.
