David looked up when Omi mentioned his medication. "Eh. The last time I took some of them pills was probably about an hour ago. Before I got on the shuttle to come to the Hermes. I was quite nervous so I took a few actually." David said in a guilty tone.

David sat back and thought about it for a moment with a frown. "Eh. Naw I don't think that many. 6 or 7 maybe. Maybe even 8? I'm sorry I'm not too sure. I was quite nervous. I'm naw the best with flying ye see." Daniel spoke without noticing that he had let his accent slip.

Well that's sounds like it's the cause of your current predicament. I'll need a small sample of your blood to be sure. We'll also have to cut back on your medication; you're now on the Hermes and you'll be shipped about quite a lot for a host of missions, it won't do to have you retired on medical grounds.

"I'll definitely try doc but those meds are what allowed me to sit down and start talking to you so easily earlier. I suppose I could just stop taking them. I wouldn't really be able to talk well with anyone other than you but that's not really an important part of ma job anyway. I'm just glad you could help me. I doubt so drastic a course, as that, will be necessary; there are less potent medications that can alleviate your situation. However these will need to be taken as prescribed. Picking up a small item used for collecting samples. A pinprick will suffice Reaching out she takes one of his hands, selects a finger and places the device on its end. Pressing a button on its top which activates a small probe which pricks his finger collecting a small sample of blood feeding it into a small sensor which registers his blood makeup and contents sending it to the database. Glancing at the Lab screen she gives a nod. Its as I suspected a case of over medication. We can put you on a controlled regimen which should help out. she proposes, giving him a friendly smile.

David looked down at Omi's hand as she took his. He listened to everything she said and nodded and smiled. He didn't react in anyway to the prick of his finger and continued to smile at Ominarah. "Well cheers for the help doc. I'll pick up that routine with the meds. I'm just glad I can keep taking them. It's always been hard for me to talk to people. I feel bad about taking you from your meal in the Rec Dec and all Miss but I heard there's something happening in the mission room. I wouldn't want to miss that if I'm honest. I'd love to take a shot at heading out on this mission... Whatever it is. Would you mind if I go now?" He asked, assuming they were done here and hoping she'd release him.

Tapping out her suggestion she forwards it to Stefi for confirmation and possible approval I'm sending my findings to Lt Simmons for approval; after which you'll probably be cleared to attend, as I'll be attending the briefing as well, I'd be delighted to accompany you, if invited...

David blushed slightly. He hadn't thought at all about asking Omi to accompany him to the brief. That was stupid. David smiled at Omi and stood up. He held his hand down to offer Omi help to get to her feet. "I'd be a fool to turn down an opportunity to spend more time with you." He said and his smile switched to a more charming one. "Shall we go then Omi?" He asked, gesturing to the door.

Finishing with her task she rose picked up the bag containing her breakfast and gave David a friendly smile. Why thank you kind Sir we would be delighted to accompany You. she replied, lifting the carry bag If my breakie reaks give us a hoy and I'll dump it.

David smiled back at Omi and stood aside so he could let her head for the door first. "Breakie? Hoy?" David chuckled. "If you don't mind my asking Omi where are you from exactly?" David asked as the pair walked together. After a little bit of walking David was falling back into not having anything to say. David just hoped Omi said something or at least didn't mind the silence between them.

David nodded along to what Omi said. "Interesting. I'm from fair 'ol Scotland mysel'. So forgive me if everything that isn't spoken in my accent confuses me." David said jokingly and followed after Omi.

David smiled at Omi indignantly. "Now you're just being intentionally confusing." He said but nonetheless gave a single quiet laugh. "So I was wondering. Being a med tec and all. Do you see much action? It just seems like you wouldn't be getting into many fights. And if we were out in the field together I don't think I could care about anything other than watching out for you. I don't think I could ever forgive myself for letting beauty such as yours to come to any harm." David said as he made his way to the brief room, hoping he had it right.

Arriving in the med lab, Catrina get's a message from Stefi tasking her with setting duty assignments for the mission. She immediately sets to work inspecting work that had been done up to that point, sending things back to be repacked, or reworked as was needed. She updates the duty roster with away team assignments.

MEDTECH MUSASHI - Report to MST CHIEF Lyri Mullin's away team
PO-1 KRISTENSEN - Report to SGT MAJ   Roy Spencer's away team
LT JG PRICE     - Report to SGT       Garrat Wolfrim's away team

She whips up a staggered duty assignement designed to keep the med lab staffed at full coverage with scaleable options as casualties come in, but still allowing the medtechs to rotate in and out for breaks and rest should it be needed.

Once the ball gets rolling she stops by her quarters and prepares her gear to deploy.
