Melia sips another cup of coffee, while sorting laundry for the next shift. Wrapping up she passes off the duty to the next shift and after checking the time heads off for some training.

Hawkeye had returned to her quarters after eating to clean up. She'd taken a quick shower and adopted simple attire of fatigues with a stethoscope and a white medical jacket. She pauses at the door to the medlab taking a deep breath preparing herself for seeing Rolf again.

She steps through the door and looks for Rolf.

  In one of   the  rooms   meant for  convelestants , Rolk was asleep ... he had a  3 or  4 day  beard growing.. his  shirt  had stains   from the  food that he ha d half  eaten, an empty  Brandy  Bottle  was on the bed.

  a Lap Top was open  next to him.. the screen had   a form...

  he ha d Typed,  ' Dear Mr and Mrs......' His  Scots  tunic and  Beret  was  clean and  rested on a chair that  had Reports  from the actions   he  didn't take part in

Hawkeye looked in on Rolf asleep, maybe passed out. She sighed a little, and cleaned up a little around the room.  Removing the bottle, closing the laptop. She tidied bits and pieces before slipping out finding the on duty tech.

"How long has he been asleep?" she asks pulling his official file, and reading what is in it.

  The   Med tech   shook  her head  slowly,..he  starte  goign  down  hill  a  bit  after  Mattterhorn.... Getting  Boarded..Etna  traitors..he lost  a lot   of his people... they got  one  shipment  of  'new  scots'. but a lot of them went  down early..

 There is a  throat clearing as Stefi stopped and   leaned against the wall  with her  arms crossed....You being  sent to  Matterhorn  didn't help..he became a recluse, more or less.. Only  McNeil and Hemsly saw him much..after  all the     Delta Night stuff  on Anzio?..he didn't  even try to  go  down on  Aqra... Hennings  Put the   Scots  under    The SM's   leadership... that didn't sit  right with McNiel....She started  to   try and be a  'factor'  on Delta  Nights..Needless to say, she and the LC  didn't get along, with Hemsly Caught in the Middle.

 ..I recommended  , sending him to Bura.. to train   Commando types there... By McNiel   complained that that would only make things  worse, since he already felt   bad with losing  people around him...The Amiral  just agreed. based on the  Fact that McNiel is  his  #2...

……. Hemsly comes to see him    2 times a week or  so...when he's  here. He oNly lets the Amdiral in his  quarters...  Hemsly Brought the LC a  few times  to  talk with him, share a pizza.. but he more or less tells the LC to  fuck off, Its gonna get worse, now that the Scots have   been moved to SEC... and the Germans  filling thier spot..McNeil had to  be  'escorted'  from the Bridge when she  went up to complain,,to her  credit, she spends alot of time  in McCloud's  quarters, though she  doesn't come here  much to see him.

Hawkeye nods sagely, "So it sounds like his vacation is over, I'm no Scot but my roommate over at Matterhorn was, I saw enough of her and her husband interactions I think I have the trick of it."

She turned and marched into the room "alright you slug a bed you've had your rest now. The vacation is over, time to pack up and go back to work" she calls out loudly with fire in her voice with the intent of waking Rolf up and triggering a response from him.

Hawkeye had rage and rancor in her tone, "I aint never heard of a scot quitting before they'd won the day, an I aint about to be part of the first one to go down in histr'y neither. So get up outa that bunk or I'll drag yer sorry ass myself. You're own damn people fought and died to get their own stake of bloody fucking England and set one of the damn proudest traditions on all of earth so you could get you beauty sleep. Your letting a gods damned lunatic get your own blood killed because your two bleeding busy feeling sorry for yourself that you can't bring them all home alive.  I guess we better pack it up and go home then, let the demons have it all. Too many scots have died, hopefully the angels can find some bloody momentum again this millennia." She let loose her words intending to cut deep and rouse him from his depression. To make him fight back against her, and by extension his own mind.

"I'll tell you what, when I had my first deployment to the middle east, I was at a small little civilian outpost. We got some military medical training a lot of dated equipment and more casualties than we could handle most days. I watched kid after kid, mother after mother, father after father, people dying on my table because I didn't have enough time to stitch them all back together, even with foam. I wanted to quit, so bad, I crawled into a gods be damned bottle and damn near pickled myself. My boss surgeon in charge of that tiny hospital told this two thing he'd learned at the administrators course the hardest lessons of all. One  good people die in war; and two and there's not a thing in the world we can do to stop lesson one.

Hemsley and the rest of your people need you before that butcher McNeil gets them all killed, if you can't git yer ass outa bed and take care of those people before that damn lieutenant gets them killed then turn-in your damn kilt, and never call yourself a bloody scot again."

She ended in a fury glaring at him, the hints of tears in the corners of her eyes as she attempted to cut the man she'd cared for down to his bare soul. To cut through his pain, and clouds to let light shine in on him to show him a path out of the depression.

  His voice  was think and horse.. a  tear   dripped  one  into  his    scraggy beard.

"I don't understand?" she asks incredulously, "I don't understand when I stand beside a table for 37hrs straight sewing intestines, and stomachs back together, expected to make perfect little mattress sutures while my boots fill with blood, and I listen to the wounded and dying her are a little less worse off than the body on my table. I don't understand? The feeling of desperately trying to keep a mutilated body functioning fight the gods of death themselves to give that one kid or those parents one more holiday or leave.

 You don't think Shadow, or the Admiral, or Roy, or Rivets doesn't feel it when we step off, or have a send off. You think they don't remember every last kid, rookie, and even ace that flew with him or fought under him and took the long walk home or wound up in a bag for a send off? The krauts are a mess no doubts, but let's be clear they're gonna need a lot more than 120 to have the same impact as you and your unit, even in its current state, but they need you at the wheel or there's gonna be a lot more casualties."

She takes a deep breath, "this is the last I'll say. If you dont find it in you to lead your unit. Then their blood will be on your hands, everything I've heard about Lt McNeil tells if left unchecked he'll get them all killed, in his drive for some shiny baubles and awards, and you'll have just let it happen while you wallow in your own self pity."

She turns to leave the room and heads towards the door.

I want you to start working yourself back into shape, and I want you to be seen again. she says, before rounding on LT McNeil, "and you, I've seen the files on your work. You aint William Wallace come back to life. If'n I start seeing more casualties on your people than on anyone else from harebrained schemes I'll personally see that you take a tour of Bura to get some sense back under ya. Maybe take some notes from how that 'bleedin fighter jock' operates. At least when he pulls a stunt he brings everyone back with him alive." She says, with a bit of fire.

She addresses Rolf one last time, "You know what you have to do. I'll be checking in, but don't expect me to go easy on you because you feel bad. The time for self pity is over." She heads out of the convalescence ward and over to the medtech office grabbing a large cup of coffee and sitting down resting her head in her hands shaking her head.

  McNiel   watched her  go, just waited for her to  take a couple steps  before  she said,..that the one , then?... Not the Type   I'd  think y'd  like..not even a Bloody scot

   Rolf  Swung his legs  over the side of the Bed...Aye, an' she's  right.  more's the pity.. I gotta  get up... feel worse laying in the Bleedin' bed...

 Stefi  came Ove r with a Cup of  Coffee,..You did  beter then the Boys?..  Shadpw wanted  to  drag him out by his   collar, But   Hemsly said it  wouldn't  ' be  fittin''... McNeil kept  him bed   as longs  as she  could.. told him to sleep it off..or , eat something.. all that...  He didn't like me  around.. Yonger  Med Techs   used to  run out of the room.

"I didn't do much better than Shadow wanted, I just dragged him out by his ego. I knew when he mouthed off at me there was still some fight in there. Scots are a strange lot, they spent so much of their history just fighting the only way sometimes to fix them is to punch them in the teeth. I'll be damned if it doesn't tear a bit of my soul when I have to do that." She says taking a deep breath. She reaches for her comm and decides better of it. Let Rolf's arrival at the tunnels be a surprise. "It wasn't that he didn't want you or anyone else there, he wanted a fight and if he wasn't gonna get it he wanted to be alone in his one mess. I just walked in and dumped a bunch of jet fuel on the little flickering candle of spirit he had left. Way I see it he could either drown in all the fuel, blow up, or just restart the fire. He's moving now, but we'll see if he can keep his ass moving for a week before I make any judgements." She watches for McNeil to leave "Anyways I'm gonna slip down to those tunnels and see if he actually makes it. I promised I'd check in on him. I don't like that Lt, jumped up kid is what she is. Needs to learn how to walk before she can lead, we can't undo what she's done so far but we can at least change the future of the unit." She sighs taking another gulp looking into the cup at the black liquid.

Finishing her coffee, Hawkeye wishes thanks Stefi for the support and excuses herself to her quarters.

There she changes into simple running clothes, while exercise is not her favorite activity she maintains the minimum requirements to do her job in combat and a little more. Still she wants to see if Rolf actually arrives and how his unit responds, and that may mean running with the group.

 The  doors  to Med tech slid open , Guardians   lined up to  funnel the   germans  through.. Von Straff, Noggins, the OminCom operator  and Vollen all went  straight to OR.

 The rest, including the  one man with the Broken leg were  being put into  stalls.

 Stefi  came out, she  walked up to Will and said,..the Larg?

  He pushed back  his Hermes Ball Cap with on  finger on the bill,..from what i understand... the Germans    wanted to Teach the LC   a lesson... seems like it worked out well...

 One of the Med Techs   handed her a sheet, while   COM calls  were  sent to Hawkeye  and Melia...worked out!..there are 14 people here...

 Maria  grinned,They are  all alive..Si?  The LC  did not use his knife, so..he could not have been too worried...

 ..Zob and Jax  were  first on the scene ... Jax's COM  called for the Med Techs.... when we came in they Pulled Shade off  Von Straff.. i am assuming her  broke the man's legs...  Noggins and the  Omin Com person were near him, so? I guessing he got them too...

 what kind of shape are they in....

 ..LC is beat up a bit.. some cuts on his   head  and  hands.. didn't get  close  enough to see...Shade's  hands were all bloody..but i thinki it was all German Blood..

 ..LC said he'd  be  down after he  had his  Coffee....

Melia walked briskly into the Medlab quickly shedding her tunic and pulling scrubs on over her uniform undershirt. where am I needed? Has anyone called Dr. Price? she asks assessing the situation

Garrat helped bring Germans in.

   The Desk  Med tech   waved to Melia...Stefi is  in OR with the LT   with the two broken Le3gs... there is   a SGT whose head looks  like  some one  used  it to chock the   wheels on an APV... a  woman, who  loks  almost as  bad... and  another  fellow   whos  face    is  pretty much  ruined... The Stalls  have a Brokken leg.. two  Brokens arms , and  losts  of cracked  Rips and   busted heads...

 she said  as she handed the paper to   Melia...

  we  COMed    Dr Price   the same  time we  COMed you..

 Mann watched    Garrat  bring in the last of the germans  as the others  ones   were being tended to.....damn..I would have liked to see this fight...

Hawkeye came blazing in and got a situation update at well. She immediately starts triage. She looks at the one who looks they chalked an APV with their head doing a damage assessment. I'll take this one first, prep that one second she says indicating the one nearly as bad. I'll look at the face case last. she explains. Melia, once you've prepped my first case assist Stefi. She says heading to the scrub room.

Melia jumps to action once Hawkeye starts giving directions, "already done." She states moving to start an IV on the first case to administer the appropriate drugs to prepare them for Hawkeye.

Once done she changes gloves and repeats preparation on the second case leaving the third for the other techs to prep as she scrubs and puts on a surgical gown and then gloves heading to Stefi's operating room.

Zob didn't really enjoy being down here as much as the next person but he had to do what he had to do... making his way up to the front, "Excuse me... Stefi wanted us to come down here and give her a full report about the German and LC Shadow incident, can you let her know Zob and Jax are here?"

    "Security footage will be accidently suspended during the time but bootlegged versions of the recordings, as you earthers call it, will likely be making the rounds soon."

   Garrat hears Shadows com and volunteers to be the cash runner.

  The Desk Tech, who seems   overwhemed  at what she thought  was going to be a boring day.

Zob nods and takes the paper and sits down filling in the details making distinct mention at one the Germans making an attempt to do something with the static field possibly in a attempt to throw the LC's body out the static field after the Germans under Von Straffs instructions beat him down, as he reached the end of the paper he noted Von Straff's conspiracy to setting up a ambush in the hold on LC Shadow in an attempt to main or kill him.

After he checked it over to make sure he filled everything in he took jax's report and his up to the counter and handed it over to the front office attendant, "Here is the report" he said as he waited for his copy to bring back to the sec office.
