By this time, the   Med tech Van had landed, Everest SEC  was watching over  the Med Techs  as they recovered  bodies  that the  SEC aircar spotted.

  When Jesse  closed her distance the   Van was  rising into the  air  once more.

 The   fuss  around The Mixed Blood, was breaking up, Only a pair of SEC  cars still there.

 The Opening to the Upper s Loomed ahead.. a lot of  folks heading on the walk way, in that directions...as well as  a  scant few, heading    towards  her.

   Shadow   finally stood up,..ok  guys, lets see about the Vid? Then we have to get back to the ship.

    The  two rose , Shade  bleeped a few times, Dusk Nodded...Shade has a point? Why do you not  do things  like that....

 Shadow looked to the  part on the Beach,..Those  folks are either all friends... or they are a bunch of stangers who got together, toescape  the  harshness of  The Black for a while.... I have some freidns.. we  get together from time to time..But ..in the end? I'm not looking to escape....

 Dusk  continued to walked  along , silent  for a bit....no... you  chase after it....

 There was a bleep from Shade to this.

Jesse continued to follow the group.  She kept her eyes open for any shops or bars.  Looking for any shops tech or otherwise or a bar that may have groups of interest.

She now also kept her eye on the scan group coming towards her.

Something just felt off and had Jesse just stand and watch.

 passing the  Mixed Blood,  the door is open as the last of the 'fight victims ; were brought out. The BAr might get back to normal..

 Meanwhile, a lot of  Folks   hung around outside. Jesse  thinks   that a couple of them , look like folks who went  upstairs  and slipped out the back , when fights started.

 Most of the others, gave it up  and  lept walkig towards  the Uppers, rather  then be around the SEC... the last fighters  were   scanned and let go, the SEC   got into their air cars, taking one last look around, before lifting  off to the traffic  stream.

   After their   'diner' HAck and  Si made a few  more sled runs , then walked  down towards the  beach.

   Most people  didn't  know them, the ones who did  either   cleared the way, or  tried to greet them.

 Hack and Si didn't encourage  either  reaction, they waved to those who greeted to them, ignore the ones who ran away.

Sarah nods, "that'll be appropriate, thank you francois." She says reading the man's name tag and handing him a credit chip worth twice the fare as they pull up, telling him to keep the change. Sliding out the door she stands and adjusts her tunic straightening it out and tucking her headgear of choice a captains white beret under her belt, a much more professional place to store it than under her usual epaulette. She approaches the door, and nods to the host "table for one please." She states looking about the establishment taking in the decor.

    Shadow  and his  companions  walkedd own the  street, They saw alot of folks   walkigntoegther. They laughed or   shouted..somewhere  singing  'victory' songs.

 Being    Shadow , Shade, and Dusk wore  uniforms, it didn't  take long for  those  to see the  19 on the   back of  Shadow's  Jacket...of course. lots of  folks  ( fleet) knew him without it.

   They stood in line, refusing  folks  offers to let them ahead of them.

 after getting their Tickets, they went to the snack counter.

 It is  custom to have , non-heathly , but good tasting snacks  as you watch the vids..some kinda  law..i think...

 Shade tries to peer over the counter and bleeped a few times  at the  girl at the  counter.  She Looked  at Shadow, blushing  as  she  was so close.

 ..he is asking if you have  pizza?

 the Girl looked at Shadow   , then Shade,Um..No sir, Mr  Shadow  sir.... we only have  candy, and popcorn and soda ...and stuff...

 That's  fine...Just call me Shadow...or Kray..Mr  Shadow is my Dad's NAme... he  flashed his smile and she  melted.

 Give  us a Big Popcorn and...a cola for each..and...a box of  chocolate  Mints, for us each?..hmm?

 She  scrambled to get the  items...a  young boy saw  shadow and hustled to help her. when the  items  were ready the pair  brought them over.. Shadow thanked  them and had them scan his wrist, then  GAve them each a 20 cred chip. He asked  for their paper  caps , the two looked at him, as his  eyestook in their names on their  name tags. He wrote " thanks  from Shadow...for great service. Then signed his name with  #19 ", then gave the  hats back as he winked  and the three  went to find  seats for CAptain Lighting.

  Dusk looked back at the two who were Jumping up and down holding each other like they won the lottery.....Father?... for that much money..we  could have bought the whole  Vid set , and watched it on the Hermes...and...do people  act like that around you all the time?

 Shadow laughed,..no..most don't like me. The ones that do..and don't  act like jerks..i like to treat nice..you enver know when they have been  treated  nice..or if they have...

 There was some  Bleeping from Shade...

 The smile  faded, but came  back as  he laughed,..he's right....there are some who are scared...and i like that too. because , those who are scared of me...are , most likely enemies...on the  field, or in the air.......

 they enter the theater , and  find  seats  above  most of the folks near the back.....now...rules.... you don't  talk during the Vid...other  folks are trying to watch and listen...if you must talk..you whisper...softly.....

 Both nodded   and the  trailers for  the  coming vids were being shown... a pair of   Everest Civie s saw  shadow's  uniform  and the   two smaller Verian-ish 'kids'..they wrinkled their  Nose , Shadow  smiled a closed  mouth smile..but his eyes  looked hard at them, they ...went to find other  seats.

 The fellow opened the door, there was  soft 'chamber music'..that was  flavored with some techno  .

  White Table cloths, round tables  for  2 or 4..booths for more. There were two secons  on either  end, that had  windows  that over looked the  city to the right, and the beach to the  left.

 A tall , well built  fellow who walked  a bit awkward, the sound of his 'replacement' leg whirled with each step.Welcome, Madame... do you have a seating  preferance? we seem to be a bit...slow today...so there are a few options. his smile was honest, and there was no sign of false fussing about him.

Melia nods, "that's perfect thank you," she says to the cabbie. Sitting back she Orria into the middle seat sitting on the outside. She watches the scenery, traffic, and the people around the cab, she keeps a partial eye on the cabbie. Partly a hardwired paranoia for both herself and Orria, and partly to see where they end up at.

Sarah looks around and decides on a view of the city, it'd been a while since she ate planet side in a big city. "City view please if it's not too much trouble." She says returning the smile.

  it takes  about  10 minutes or so . the   Taxi  flies past the  Library , after  coming out of the entrance to the Stem. it settles  down  in a parking area near the Beach. There is a bright sign in the darkening  area. A  Everest, in cartoon style.

 the  Blinking Lights  say,Hungry Harbor.

   As they approach the Entrance  they see  some folks   either heading in, or leaving  with Kids. The kids  leaving carry stuffed  toys or balloons and such.

  The  man   Bowed slightly  and  waved an arm, in the direction he was starting to walk.

  when they get to the  city side  he waves of the   waiters  and points to the table  for two right next to the window...the waiter  looks at the fellow  a bit  grumpy, but  sets the table.

  As Sarah seats herself, the fellow    hands her  a menu. I will sent a waitress over  directly..Please  browse the menu. we do get good things  said  about out  Chicken Melt soup and the   Beef is ...how would they say..REAL...the special is a Everest salad...Vegtables are  fresh from the internal farms,  and  you may add the choice of chicken, or  Cheese  cubs....Should   something become amiss?..please  call for me, My name is   Greer.

 Orria watches out the windows looking at everything. Taking in the parts of the station she hadn't seen yet.

Once they arrive Melia hands the driver the fair with a little more with a thank you, and helps Orria out of the cab. Heading for the entrance she makes sure they have everything and walk in the entry.

Jesse cocked her head to the area where the van was taking off and begin to examine...err, snoop.  Cautiously she heads in that direction.

  Entering the   eatery, Melia is hit with a wall of sound, Kids  are playing and  having ..maybe ..'too good' of a time... There is a Ball pool , with   a antigrav containment, so the balls, and the Kids  are floating around ..there are game s for older  kids  and   parents to play that envolve  throwing, or kicking balls, and a special area  for little  kicks  with..'whack a demon'.. and squirt gun races.. enclosed cases that have a steering wheel that you 'fly' a Hammer through  Rings that pop up..all give  tickets to cash in for goodies.

 There is a teenager that Greets them, Hello? welcome to Hungry HArbor... if your  child  is to be playing the games?>. you must leave her  weapon with you..or use one of our lockers.... Once the  weapon is taken care of you enter  through that door  and you will be  seated..enjoy your stay!

  A rather good looking  waitress comes to the table, she   smiles  as she says,Good evening  Madame... I am Estelle...Monsieur Greer  sent  for me to wait on your table..qui?

 she looks to the menu  and then to Sarah,...you have picked something?  No?

  Jesse  move  with purpose  back towards the lowers... some  folks who start her start and turn a few times begin to watch her..including the group that was  coming   towards her.

 They stand aside. but  keep an eye on her  as she  moves   towards the lowers  at a brisk walk

"Good evening Estelle," Sarah says with a small smile. "I'll start with a small salad, then have the house cut of steak with seasonal greens,  and a glass of the house merlot please." She says placing her order and the menu at the edge of the table looking Estelle in the eyes.

  ..Very Good Madame... I shall return with the salad..the steak will take about  15 minutes..yu know how thosr old Lazar  stoves are..but..ze chef..he will not cook with ze  solar Blast stoves?

 she smiles  , smoothly taking the menu and sliding away

  the music   is nice...the view isn't bad..  the bust  stream of the main traffic  flow  can be seen as lights are coming on.

 The Fleet HQ, lit up like a blue-white  gem in the semi darkness of the  weaker  street lights.

  The Vid  started  with Ads  for the  new Vids  comignout..then?  an Ad  for the   ESN action figures.. each one shown, with kids playing with them, intermixed with some  real life   footage, mostly combat,  or  Ship board  footage of  those who have not seen combat

 Some  folks looked back at Shadow   and Shade... Dusk looked at them as well...this does not bother you...?

 Shade shook his head  and Bleeped.

 ..should it? Folks Like  them... its good for the fleet...

 a Guy close to him asked,..betcha you  have some of those...don't ya?

  Shadow popped a  Mint into his  mouth,...Just one...someone gave it to me.... I do by the ships  for  my niece and Nephew.....now..get away from me... we want to watch the vid..it will be damn hard to do that with the  workers in here  looking  for your teeth on the floor...

 The  Brutish fellow  looked at Shadow who had never taken his eyes of the ad.... he looked at Dusk who smiled  a tiny  bit... Shade was  drinking from his  soda and gave him a thumbs up.... The  fellow moved...far away.

Once she got near the area where the van was/has took off she began looking around for information, details, or other people that she saw earlier.

  she    walked as  fast as she was  able, with out flat out  running. The VAn slipped into the Main traffic  stream.

  Jesse had   an Idea where  it went... The Lowers... as a brisk walk , it would  take her 20 minutes , staying on the walk way to reach the mouth of The Lowers.

 Running, maybe  10-12...

 there  were  onlt 2 more  bars on the walkway..one close to the middle, that she was  approaching, one near the end, much like  " the Mixed Blood" was, at the Uppers   end.

Jesse kept a steady healthy fast pace until she realized she wasn't making much leeway.  Then she took up a jog.

She kept an eye open for something or someone that may click the lightbulb on.

  She passes the middle bar.it is well lit for a bar in the. Stem. the music  is loud,some folks are sitting outside smoking something they want to hide
