Everest is built  like  all CArrier stations. What Makes Everest different, is its  focus in Bio-Tech and Scouting.

 theStation also tesst equipment to be used by the ESN, because of this, they have  a lot of trading going on with colonies and  worlds  Outside the ESN/AP boundires...for now.

 Upppers...

  It is  winter up in the Uppers, a Mountain, of  sorts has been  built that rises to the very top to the  Uppers , the Foot of the Mountain is ringed by Houses and hotels that people who live winter sports, or those who are testing  survival equipment  stay.

Lowers....

  The Lowers  has  75% of  the Population, it is in start contrast to the Upper...a beach on the  one side  with a small 'Fuji-like' sea on one side  and a heavy consentration of  merchants , and Hotels, with  Civies  Living   just inside  those  buildings.. the factories   in the Stem.

 The Stem still has  its...'hard core'..residents, but they  have  their own slum section, with 60% of the factory workers being   Stem Civies.

 In the Middle of the Lowers is  a decent  sized stadium for the  football team, track and filed and large events

Notices Poles that are   set up, coming  down from the   peak.... these poles  separate 'faces'..and  act as a Guide for those who want to do things ( and of course...where they can afford to do it)

 the South  Face, is the most expensive..mostly because its is were  traffic   from the Stem has been   routed...the  weastern FAce is where   Henry  and comapnay are, and is more reasonable. the East face is   a tad cheaper as well, the North FAce, is reserved for  residents and the well-to-do who live there...

 most 'working folks' who live  at the foot of the mountain, make a damn good living off  beach and snow-activities and lodgings..ect..The North face, is  regulated , quite heavily .

 The Admiral and  the board was well as Lyri, Spencer ( jesse?) are already in the  foyer of the big Glass and steel Building.

 all manner of Flags drape  around the area, As  Admiral St Gaul begins the formal greetings.

 Admiral Evert exchanges  cheek kisses with St Gaul, and formally Introduces  Hack and the board to St Gaul and her Board.

 There  are a few speeches  that deal with the   linking up of the Beta and Delta Fleets, as well as the AP as  the over all governing body.

  Shadow and those  not on the stage are surrounded by  dozens of   hangers on and  Everest high rollers.

 then....

 ..So? Now..its is time for Us to meet, the Heroes  of  our  war?..No?.. Please.. to bring LC  Shadow and Capt  Von Bren to the Stage?

  Shadow  Curses  under his breath as he  makes his way through the crowd. Some  folsk  are eager to see him, some give  smirks...from the other side of the  Stage  Von Bren approaches, there are cheers  for him as he waves to the crowd..both men wear the Blue Max as part of  uniform for those with 20 or more Kills

  Si  gives Shadow a stern Look,  Hack  just  shrugs.

 ...Um..Good to meet you, Captain Von Bren. he offers his hand.

 Von Bren looks at Shadow's  hand  and gives a condescending smile, he says into the Mic,..It is Goot to see you? But..in the Delta   Fleet...do you not salute a Superior  Officer?  the  Crowd laughs  as his  Joke( and Shadow.)

 SHadow's  smile never Flickers,..Indeed Herr Von Bren?.. When i find one, i normally do...

 The  Hermes   folks Laughed this  time, Von Bren and St Gaul looked like someone slapped their face...

 ..Herr Shadow?..do we  both not  wear the Pour le Merit ? his   smile  has  forced  as  was the polite   voice.

 ..Indeed..Herr Von Bern? I have 77  CONFIRMED...kills..not to mention ground targets?..How many   do you have again?

 St Gual walked between the  two men, she  tried to smile,..please.. this  is a social gathewring..is it not?...

 Hack stood and   walked  to Shadow he placed a firm, but Gentle hand on Shadow's shoulder....you must forgive LC Shadow, he has a game in a couple hours, and he has his 'game face' on...

 the  Hermes  folks   began to  laugh again. Von Bern was more then a Little embarrassed.

 ... LC?.. I'm sure  the team is  waiting for you.. you are excused, we will see you after the game?

 St Gaul adds,do not  forget the  ball tonight.

 Shadow  nods,..I am not much  for Fancy Dress, Admiral St Gaul, but i will show up, if  i am able....

 I assure you, LC Shadow..you will be able....

 SHadow saluted HAck, St Gaul, and the Delta Board  before  leaving the stage..he pointedly, did not salute  Von Bern.

  he stopped to  talk with Garrat and  Henry   gave  Shade  a pat on the back, then hurried to ctach a  taxi  to go the  few Blocks to the stadium.

Garrat did not laugh either time.  He kept a strangely neutral look om his face.

Captain Thomas Spartan strolls around, looking for the locker rooms to see if he can help out with the game. Meanwhile he is also looking for a trading post of sorts, because he needs to replenish some scatter rockets and perhaps obtain some new buoys. And who knows what else the black market offers.
