"Thank you," said Henry when he was served.

"Here you go, Mila."

He poured her milkshake into the bowl and put the plate of steak down for her.

"Good girl. Enjoy!" he said before addressing himself to his own dinner.

 She watches him and sniffs the milk shake and steak then looks up, pokes his hand with her nose then bent down to start daintily eat the steak. She wags her tail slightly as she eats enjoying her meal.

Jesse finished up her food and headed back to her quarters to rest until any announcements were made for her to be up and about again.

 She headed out of rec dec toward her quarters, leftovers in hand as usual.

Weber steps off the lift and looks around letting the din of the Rec Dec wash over him. It would appear that this ship was laid out nearly identically to any other. Perhaps the names changed but the fleet sure seemed to like their "standard" accommodation.

   Civies   came up from the Civie  section, either on their  way to work, or on their   way to work.

  The stalls  had the dec  filed with  the smell of various  foods   as waitresses  roamed the tables  l taking orders or  clearing tables.

  A  Shorter  fellow with a bit of  5 o'clock shadow  came onto the Rec Dec. His uniform showed he was part of the 5th  Scotish Mountaineers , but he also had a Hermes SEC patch on his shoulder.

  most of the Crew  on the Rec dec where  either Gunners or loading people... He looked around and  spotted a new  fellow.

 Stepping out of the elevator, the two aliens walk to  a  table  closer to the wal on the  Port side...i have  found it  easier to each by wall..some  Humans and Sanri  seem to dislike  seeing us eat raw meat.

 as they sit  down. a   guy waiter  comes over ( most of the female serves   seem to  be watching the outcome)

  well?   hi ..um...guys?.. Lirg..Right?... and  who is the ..um..new  guy?

 it is  clear the Unifrom helps..but  humans are still wary..

 ..This is  Sath.. or  that is what  others  are calling him? I want to have   raw steak.. and  some of the  meat soup?

 ..meat soup?..oh!..yeah  we have   beef  noddle... and Chicken noddle...

 ..give me the beef noodle?.. i like the wiggly things in it...

     The fellow  tilts his head and shrugs,..what about you?...um...Sath?

Sath bows his head to the waiter. "Hello. Yes my name is Sathsiltsiiss but Sath ok. I will have same as Lirg!... Biggest steak you have please" He smiled showing all of his pointed sharp teeth. Quite eager to eat something.

  The fellow   nods  as he tips the  small vidboard...should have it  in a few seconds... um.. anyhting to drink?..not to be..um..insulting?.. but  besides the  deers , sodas, wines  , Milk and water... we have some Jucies..and..um...  there is  Pigs   blood..sheep's  blood , cows  blood and chicken blood? we have to keep it on hand  for  prisoners and  ambassadors?

"Mmmm Water please, QM said water was good." He paused "Lirg Drink?"

     Lirg  said,..I would like ...the beer? It is  taste i got used to.. The big Human, Garrat?.. he got me to try this drink...

 The Guy nodded,all right?... should be back in a few. he left to  head towards the stalls, and gather the orders.

   Folks    would come on  the  Rec dec, or pass through  on their way to the Civie Section..some gave  the two  aliens  odd looks, some didn't even blink an eye..

   a few moments later the   waiter came  over with  the two plates and set them down.. a  woman carried the drinks.

   ..just give a wave if you want anything else....

  Then he leans a bit closer  and says in a softer Voice,..if you are able?... try to use the  knives and forks for eating...people tend to get skiddish..if they see you tear intio the  stuff   with your claws and teeth?  he winks  and moves off....

Sath nodded to the waiter in thanks for the advice and grabbed the knife and fork to the side of his plate doing his best to use them to eat.

The steak didn't last very long at all and was obviously thoroughly enjoyed.

 While they  Ate, the   Hyrian,  seemed a little mor epracticed at using the   eating tools.

 ..I have  found, that those who sell  the big meats.. seem to like when we spend the cradits ot  eat them..it seesm that the  others, do not get..what they call this?   STeak..very often...But?   since i do not  waste me credits on the sweet foods?.. I have no fear of  speading Credits to eat well...

 He looks  back and forth for a moment, then  whispers   a bit to Sath,..if i am  in  what the Hmans call ...'the field'... and i grow Hungry.. I man take a Big bite out  of an enemey i have killed... but..the SGT MAJ seesm to frown on that..so I try to do this when he is not looking... I told Nivarian this when we  went under grown on the Green Moon?.. Human-Garrat..he laughed at this?

"They think it animal-like, makes them unsteady because we might do same to them" He smiled and shook his head "I used to eat humans but trying make peace real, so I stop and eat only animal, set example for my brothers and sisters I hope and show humans can be allies."

He picked up the bowl and downed the soup in several gulps. "Tasty, but strange"

He then began sipping at the glass of water he had. "QM said this good but this taste of nothing." He frowned and looked around for the waiter waving at him, his hand as high as he could reach from where he sat.

  The  waiter  Came over, he  smiled a bit....you need  something else ?

  Some folks who didn't  notice the pair seemed a bit on edge. Others   just took a quick  glance and  went about their Business.

"Yes. Please can you bring tasty drink?" He frowned a little thinking and then quickly stopped conscious that it may make him look angry.

"What you like?" He asked the waiter.

   The Waiter  smiled a  bit, with  understanding...Lirg here?.. ahs tried 'the milkshake'  it  comes in a few flavoes  ,,but  chocolate and Vanillia  are the  favorites... look at thislside show... and tell me   what you think looks  good?...

 he explains as  each  slides by..

  Milkskae..made with  ice cream and   Milk , blended together....

  It showed a  brown and Clear  bubbly glasses..

 Soda...  Cola  and Rootbeer  are the  highest  sellers..but the  clear soda ..lemon lime? is also  in demand...

  glass of  Orange  Juices  and  a reddish  Juice...


..Jucies.. Ornage  Juice  from the  citrus fruit.. we have powers and  some  'fresh'... the  reddish one is of Vegatables  ... some folks like that..

 A mug of  Beer..

 ..beer..  i suggest you limit its  intake,until you are certain  of how you react to it?

  a Bottle  and glass of wine

 fermented fruit?.. it can cause you to get drunk as well?... it is  liked  by many folks.. we also have wines of other  cultures  we have either purchases in trade.. or taken from enemy ships...

 and lastly  bottles of   whiskey, Vodka and Rum

 ..these are hard   Liquor ... folks tend to drink this to get drunk..fast..or? special occassions.... there are many  types... all can  be mixes with jucies   or sodas?... but...again?..I would watch the intake, until you know how it effects you?

"I will try milkshake, chocolate. Thanks." He said and went back to sipping his water with a very unimpressed expression.
