Will grinned,..too late.. you're  out with me.. I'm sure there are a few  folks who would mark that as 'stupid"

 eh looked at the Picture  when the   waitress  returned witht eh drinks.....That Beef and  Noodles   look Good.. and a   cup on  Onion soup?

 she smiles  and writes it  down.  and waits  For HArry… once the order is Given and the    waitress  leaves,  Will  nods,..saw her once or twice  on Fuji?... she  was   flying  patrols  in the stem of a good  bit.. then got some outside work..never  really talked to her or anything..  Fighter  Wing  Pilots   stuck together.. She was in  the Lowers..  I was SEC  there for a bit, before I got  my golden ticket.. Pretty neat..huh?.. surprise Sister.. she's a pilot?

Upon hearing his quip on how dating him could be considered to be "something stupid" Harry would offer him a fond smile as she gently shook her head "Oh Will, if you'd met some of the losers, deadbeats and thugs I've had the dubious pleasure of dating then you'd realise how much of a catch you really are" she said reaching across the table to give his hand a squeeze before turning her attention to the waitress "I'll skip the starter, and for my main I'll have the Chicken Marengo please...those desserts are calling to me" she said with a slight giggle as the waitress took her order and departed for the kitchens.

Sipping her white wine Harry would nod her head in reply to Will's guess that Abby was a pilot "Abby St Clair-Carmichael...I'm still not sure what to think about the whole thing, part of me likes the idea of having a younger sister the other part just feels like I'm being replaced" she said with a hurt look momentarily appearing on her face "oh well, from what I was told there's a very good chance that she'll be getting transferred onto the Hermes so I'll get to meet her then" she said in a voice that made it abundantly clear that she was more than a little nervous over meeting Abby and what she'll think of her.

 Will smiled,..I don't know  about  'catch'.. But  I'm damn lucky..  that  a chick like you gave me the time of day... he sipped his soda...


 ..This  Abby   thing... Its a Good thing... Maybe?  your parents    helped her out,  because they thought  they couldn't help you...either way..   I bet she'll know you..  If she comes here..   there will be a  reason...

"That's kind of what I'm afraid of, I have no idea what my parents have told her about me or what she's found out herself" Harry replied, grimacing slightly at the thought of all those pictures the tabloids had taken of her misbehaving, not to mention the fact that she was a violent criminal for several years.

As the music started to play Harry would eagerly get out of her seat in order to take Will up on his offer of a dance whilst they waited for their food to arrive. It was only since joining the Hermes that she'd come to enjoy dancing, though a lot of that may have something to do with a better class of dancing partner, or at least one that didn't use it as an excuse to try and touch her up. And so it was with a broad smile on her face that Harry would step onto the dance floor and into Will's arms where her troubles rapidly melted away.

  The  song   played itself out, as   Will repeated  a few of the  more meaningful words ( to him anyway)   near her  ear. in an attempt  to sing.

     another Slow  song   came on, they Meal had  not  Come out, So    Will Kept her on the floor.

   another Couple   , older  fellow.. the  very  thing, of   being able to tell they were 'older' meant they  got   Angel Food late, though they seemed  spry.. The   Man winked at them and Tapped His  shoulder  and   said,..ESN AA1  Bruntwood.. MArs  1...     the fellows  wife?..  just Hushed him  up and they danced  past.

With the sound of Will's voice softly "singing" into her ear Harry would move to rest her head against his shoulder as they moved into the next dance, the minimal heels on her sandals doing little to increase her height although she'd accept that trade off for comfortable shoes she could walk in any day of the week.

With the exception of an older gentleman trying to introduce himself, Harry giving the man's wife a grateful smile as she hushed him, Harry was able to lose herself in the moment, with all thoughts of adoptive sisters and EDT kidnappings leaving her head to be replaced with the sensation of simply being with Will, causing her to wonder if this what being in a normal relationship felt like or whether she'd stumbled upon something truly special?  Either way it was unlike anything she'd ever felt before in her life and she knew that she'd do anything to keep it. To keep him.

As the song came to an end Harry would watch as their waitress placed their dishes upon the table with her smiling as she noticed them on the dance floor "our food is here" Harry quietly spoke before leaning up to gently kiss him upon the cheek "best we go an eat if we're going to keep your strength up...also I want to see if the food is as good as you say it is" she said with a lighthearted chuckle as she took his hand and started walking back to their table.

  He  walked with her to the table... seated her before he went to his Own..well? This is  all on shoey? He told  me the palce  was great... so...  I may was   well bring a great Lady and try it out?...which..I'm  sure is why he told  me about it... he smiled.

  Will tested it  and was glad it was well done...his time in the service, he has  saw to much.. bloody meat!

 ..so?..how did your   day go?.. mine was  kinda quiet..'cept seeing that new  dick, pilot get punched out   once in SEC, and then Kat punch him  on the rec dec.. and.. well.... me?

"Aww and you had to settle for little ol' me" Harry laughed as she sat down, taking a sip of her wine before starting on her chicken dish and finding to her delight that was every bit as good as she'd been promised.

As they talked about their respective days which was a surprisingly normal topic of conversation that didn't involve dangerous alien species and/or combat missions, Harry would raise a questioning eyebrow as Will mentioned the Dick Pilot he'd punched "yeah who was that arsehole anyway?" she asked having never seen the guy before today. Truth be told the guy had been lucky she'd been wearing a dress as opposed to her uniform which had a weapons belt on it...then again had she been in uniform she probably wouldn't have got the reaction she did. On the subject of her day she would shrug her shoulders and smile as she spoke "my day was pretty good, went out shopping with the girls and spent way too much money, had a nice meal out with them, had a couple of photo's taken with this lad we met before taking him back to see Rivets for an interview..." Taking another bite of chicken Harry would pause as she idly wondered how Luke had got on and whether or not he'd made the cut before continuing "...I then had my little talk with Beth, which wasn't so great...but it's ok because this really great guy I know took me out for a nice meal in a restaurant his friend has told him all about" she finished with a laugh before going on to quietly add "thank you for taking me out Will, I really needed this" no matter what happened she knew he'd always be there for her.

  He    chewed his  steak  and    started  to cut  it again, he   ate  like the mess hall,  knife in one hand, fort  in another, but he  wasn't 'sloppy'.

 The waitress    came  over to ask if he wanted   his wine,..I'm?. how  about  a  Brandy..what you think is  best .. then  another  soda  later...

 She   smiled  and   looked to   Harry  to see if she needed another  drink.. then  went off.

 ..Besserman?... LT  from  Matterhorn..he Fasttracked, rather  then go   through academy.. he had the creds behind him?..  from what i noticed  with   my ....

 He put a hand on his  chest and raised  his  nose,..professioanl  SEC  skills.. he's a Xenophobe  .. Insulte   Dusk..Insulted Shade...  insulkte Ariv...  didn't insulte Larry to his face...and?   made ...less-the- complimentary   comments   to    Gai... and   Mussete and Kat.. all who are..Not   BritishAmerican....

 ..and..Creds    don't buy you class, because  Dan  was  ready to stab  him with a skewer... Eckles  abiled on him.. and.. some one  Punched him out   in SEV for  saying somethign   ...'off color'..about his lady... so?... If Shadow  don't kill him..some one else will..

 ..and?  here's the kicker?... His Uncle  torched LAdy...  The LC's  fighter  before  she went  to  help Bura fight.... THat Little Green Angel..Dr-No.. he was her Pilot..he came here for the  courtmarial.. and stayed... he's the one that brought  some kinds thing    that ended up  ,makign Dusk and  Shade... so..yeah..  Shadow  is looking for a reason  to  smack him around..and he doesn't have to look far... the funny thing is..he might have to wait in line!

 They  he  set His    fork  down  and reached over   to grasp her hand,.. You want to thank  me? Thank  Me    for having Fun...or... he looked around for a moment  to try to  pick the right word out of the air,..or..because   I make  something better?... but not  for  'taking you out"... That's   the selfish part of me...'cause   getting to hang  out with  you...is  for me...

After ordering herself another glass of wine Harry would listen as Will described the despicable Lt Besserman and how Will hadn't been the first person to land a blow against him "I wouldn't worry...It doesn't sound like he's going to last long" she remarked wondering how they'd managed to gain such a vile...creature...as Besserman. She would have been perfectly happy with overlooking the fact that he was related to Johnny Blu as it would have been unfair to tar him with the same brush, but she had no time for racists and xenophobes and would make him seriously regret any such comments said in her presence.

As Will reached across to gently take her hand, Harry would frown in confusion before giving a short laugh "Oh Will, believe it or not I do enjoy hanging out with you too! It's the main reason I asked you to move in with me...had it just been about saving a little money then I'd have moved in with someone like Teela or Gai" she said placing her free hand atop of his face as she looked into his eyes "...you make me happy just by simply being near me and when I'm in your arms I feel safe, and calm, and loved and I..." taking her hand from off of Will's, Harry would begin to hurriedly wipe her eyes as tears threatened  to spill down her cheeks as a result of the sudden out pouring of emotions "Nine Hells and now I'm blubbing like a girl! Don't you dare tell anyone Will Call, I have a reputation to maintain you know!" she laughed whilst continuing to scrub at her eyes, thankful that she wasn't wearing any makeup.

Once she'd finished her main course Harry would pour over the dessert menu before finally deciding on a rather decadent Raspberry and white chocolate Creme Brulee that she would no doubt be having to run off on the track.

   Will smiles   he looked a bit emotional Himself  as he cleared his throat,..of  course not!.. why would I tell?...  This is our time, besides.. none of my buddies  are gonna ask what  we talked about.

  they looked at the desert, he ordered a Chessecake  with . what were  Burian Strawberries, and a Cup of  coffee to go with it.

"hmm mine might" Harry replied with shrugging of her shoulders that seemed to say "girl talk" before she went on to hastily add "...Don't worry it's all good" with a smile that showed that not only  was she was being completely honest with him but that it was largely down to the fact that she had nothing bad to say about him, with the look in her eyes more than saying that she was absolutely crazy about him.

With the arrival of the desserts a look of utter delight would appear on her face as she looked at the ramekin of Creme Brulee that had been set before her along with a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream "Oh my god, this is divine!" Harry gasped after her first mouthful with her quickly digging into the rest of her dessert "so when we're done here do you fancy going to see a film or do you want to head back? I've got a few more surprises waiting for you" Harry asked between mouthfuls, more than happy with either option so long as she was with him.

  He   chuckled  as she looked at her  desert.

 ..I don't have to report, Until we cast off.. Then I'll either be in SEC..  or walking patrols...

 ..Vid  would be good.. but they don't have the New   Captain Lighting..here.. I bet its   at Fuji!..

 ..there is a creature show , with that actress    Giddy  Mist? She  was a  Fighter Pilto  once?  and they got her into  films to help recruit... They tries to do that  with Shadow and Frans.. but they said no.. good thing I guess?.. I dunno ..Shadow as  an actor?

"Yeah I can't see myself doing anything overly exciting tomorrow either" Harry replied as she chased the last scraps vanilla ice cream about her plate with a spoon. She might get lucky and get to fly a patrol but chances are she'd on the SIMs seeing as she hadn't even sat in an aircraft since the Aqra campaign finished "a film would be nice so long as it isn't a slasher horror" she said knowing that those kind of films always gave her nightmares and that after she woke up screaming the second time that people generally started to lose patience with her.

The concept of Shadow being an actor meanwhile made for a rather interesting mental image, after all he certainly had the looks and physique of an Action Hero "hmm I don't know...he may surprise you with that one, though let's face it he enjoys what he does far too much to jack it all in and pursue a life on the silver screen...besides why pretend to do something that you can do for real?" she said, laying her spoon down upon a surprisingly clean plate and picking up her glass of wine so that she could finish the last few mouthfuls.

..Well.. the Vid  is   suposed to  be scary .. some beastie on  Astra   chasign people  around a  beach town? Shoey said, they  Like to  make  movies  about   any new  worlds  we were colonizing, so   other  folks see what its  like  and Might   want to  go there...you know...'cept  for Monsters   and stuff..

 The waitress  Came, Givign the check to  Will.. his eyes  got  slighly  large  but smiled,  The  he offered his  wrist  and she  scanned it, Before she  went, he  gave her   2  25  cred  chips.. She  thanked  him with a Big  Smile  and Moved off.

 well, the Vids   are  right  down the   block here ...  we'll walk    off some of our  dinner, and should ge there in  time to grab a soda. and a snack to take in?

Offering Will an uncertain look in response to him describing the film as being supposedly scary Harry would get up to follow him out of the restaurant "Alright just remember you're the one who will have to deal with me if I can't sleep tonight" she said before taking his hand and heading for the door.

Stepping out onto the street she would hold his hand as they walked the short distance to the cinema whose front was covered in posters advertising the various vids they had on offer including one showing a giant fish-lizard thing dragging a woman into a blood stained lake "Will, seeing as you was so nice to buy dinner why don't you let me get the vid tickets?" Harry asked as they stepped through the large double doors. She wasn't going to fight with him if he insisted on paying but she didn't want him to bankrupt himself on her account especially seeing as she had plenty of money of her own. Once the tickets had been paid for Harry would get a soda for her and Will as well as some popcorn to share before going inside to watch the film.

   Will  smiles as he  waggles  a  finger  at her  , going through the door,..Tel You what?  This  is  Our Frist 'for real' Date..  that  isn't inside the Hull of the  Hermes...or?   Flying    towards a cruise ship in a  airvan?  So?  I'll get  tonight... You can spring for whatever    tiem we have on Etna , after  we  clean some folks up.</Seagreen

 as they stood  Bu the    Vendor   he pointed  at the Creature  Pic... or a  Vid that Shwoed  a  Female  ESN Offcier   and   a 'rough and Tumble"  MArine, on  some planet that had   a Woman glaring at the Guy.. and a Guy Glaring  at the woman... the Movie was  called  'finders  Keepers"

"Oh that was a date was it? I must have missed that what with the blood loss and all!" Harry laughed, although she had to admit that if anyone ever wanted the story of how they met that it would be an exciting one, after all there can't be many couples that can say they met during a high speed chase.

With her fully intending to hold Will to the deal that she would be paying for their next date night Harry would struggle with the choice of film for several moments before finally making her reply. Part of her wanted to risk the Creature pic just to prove to Will that she wasn't a complete wimp, however realising that her decision would completely backfire on her if they ended up having to go to sleep with the lights on went with the safer of the two options "Lets go for Finders Keepers...it looks more my thing" she said, assuming the film to be some kind of Adventure film judging by the poster's artwork. Though having never heard of either film a vague guess was as good as it was going to get.

  Grabbing thier  drinks  and Popcorn, they went to see  'mom monster'  Vid.

  the table setting  showed  the    Lady offcier  and the MArine  SGT  both starting out , with rather  dominating    partners.. The Man  , belittling  the Lady's officer's command  of  a sloop , while the    female   nagged the SGT    to retire  and be a fisher  man on Astra, with the fish processing plants  now   operational.


  Will whispered in   Harry's  ear,..they want to  proces fish?.. go to Aqra!

 soon, the sloop  needed to slip behind   Largran Lines , with  the SGT  SEC team.. they  butted heads   at first. arguing  about   where to land  and how to proceed  with the  insertion of the Team... In the end, the Mission was  pulled off... The SGT  got  a ride  'home ' to teh base on Astra   from the   Officer in her shuttle.

 The  Man's partner  was In a bar.. The officer's partner  was at the beach  with some other   people's  wives...

 they decided  to go out  to eat... talkign about the Mission, then thier  home life....then.. the connection  started to happen.

Taking a seat within the cinema it wouldn't take long for Harry to cuddle up next to Will as best as the seats would allow as she watched the plot slowly unfold, a smile touching her face  with Will's comment about Aqra "hmm only if she's happy with the fish shooting back" she whispered back before once again settling down so as not to disturb anyone.

It wasn't long after the scene in the bar that the lead characters would develop a close friendship that had more than a touch of sexual tension as they went in search of a crashed Lagran "Treasure Galley" that Harry firmly placed into the realms of Creative license. Despite the romantic nature of the film and her closeness to Will, Harry would behave herself although she did steal a quick kiss when the Marine broke the nose of the female officers husband as he tried to belittle her in front of the crew "Serves him right" she said in a fierce whisper as the pompous ass hit the deck. From that point on the growing romance was all but inevitable.

  The  vid hit the apex   as three  fighters  were to escort the Sloop and The SGT's  team  to  a small  asteroid  that  held a Largran Listening post.. The   Battle that ensued , was exciting. with the Officer leading her  own SEC Team into the     base  to pull out The Fire team... The SGT's best friend, a  women  heavy weapons trooper, who had  encouraged the SGT to pursue  his feeling for the  Officer  was  gunned down...   The Fighters  came In,  after  taking out  fighters that attacked the sloop.  They    strafed   what few Largrans  dared come out.


   they made it  to the   SGT's   shuttle  along  with...what was left of thier people.. the Officer's  Shuttle was Blown to Bits

 Back On Board the     Sloop  , they had to detonate the  Listening post , far sooner then  they should have.. The fighters   broke off, leading   what Largrans   that were left in the air away. witht eh   Fighter  jock, promising  to Buy them a drink at the station.


 The    asteroid  Blew  Into Bits... a hidden reserve of powercells  and  ammo  for the largran , went off, and a large  Chunk of  rick  smashed the Sloop's   COM   tower

   with   the Damage  done.. what was left of the   two teams  and  crew.. managed to   get the slop Moving   towards the station.. it took a week.. when they arrived...  The  pair  who had  many Moments of   working together.. and   simply  'being together'.. found thier partners  with other people, The husband  had  declared their marriage  'war ended'..and was goign to recieve  some   'widow's funds".. the    SGTs  GF.. simply shacked up with someone else...

  the last  20 minutes   of the  Vid  was    The Officer,  gettign her   'widow's fund" back in her account.. but..NOT  restoring the marriage  , citing   the infidelity ..which stood.. The SGT  showed up at her  door  with two  duffle bags and a suit case. smiling   as he shrugged, and she Pulled him into the house...

as the  credits   rolled    there was a  small scene  at   a local bar, where the Sgt, beat the  the ex-husband  down.. then held the battered  guy up and spoke into his Bloodied  face,..That's  for   trying to still her Creds... and.. Thanks!.. he smiled   ad npunched the man one last time...

 he got in the aircar, the officer  took off,..You good?

 .. yeah?.. Just settled  my bar tab...

 she looed at vthe   blodied  knuckles,  gave a knowing  smile and headed home....

As the film drew to a close with the heroes riding off into the sunset together as a couple and the slimy officer getting a much needed kicking, Harry would leave the cinema with Will in a thoroughly good mood. Slipping an arm about his waist as they slowly made their way back to the car she would smile up at her handsome trooper as she spoke "I like date night, we definitely need to do this again!" she said gently resting her head against his shoulder as she quietly giggled "...I may even wear a dress!"

  he    chuckled   as  he   Put  a  caressing arm  around her,well?  Rumor has  it  we  are playign Etna in a football game, If     The Admiral  holds  true to form that will be a cover   for  alot of pour people coming to the Station.. I assume  we'll be based out od  Shadow's  Condo and   have  some for  of    Delta  Night.... then?  the  rest of the night is ours..or ..days?  however long we stay.

 The Got to the Car,well?..  Dinne r w ith Hot  chick...Movie   with  hot chick?..  I got everyhting i came for?..now what?

Finding the idea of having several days to spend as she pleased rather appealing Harry climbed into the air cars passenger seat, smiling as Will asked what was next "well...personally if it was me, I would take the Hot Chick to the Rec Dec for a night cap before then escorting her back to her quarters" Harry suggested as the air car started to ascend and turn towards where the Hermes was docked "...I mean if you fancied your chances...she may even invite you inside..."

  Will smiled,..no? that's a Good  Idea.... Maybe   even  bit of pizza  or somethign,  just to  settle down the  night with..

  The air Car  Lifted off   , and he    went   towards the main traffic  stream that would take them to the Hermes  docking arm.

 well.. this  might have been the last  time we're  here for a while.. but yo can never  tell.. this part of space  isn't    the most tranquil...
