Lewis of  the  5th, had the OminCom in theirs group she ad  set up at the Bottom of the  hole to get  streaming feeds of the creatures.

 If  called up, it  would take her  about 6-8 minutes  to climb the  steel.

 Right now  the Hermes  and  Henry are  getting shaky  views  because of the  odd  lighting.

Henry squints at the screen trying to make out what's going on...

 Shadow kept his   aircraft moving, if  for no reason then not  to  drift off into  a daydream.  He Knew there was  shooting, but  call for Evac  hasn't happened..and the  Shuttle s were well in place.

 ..gods..how long  we have been on this Mud Ball and we still gotta do this stuff? Frans complained.


 Yeah?.. well.... in about a Day we're gonna be seeing out new  Buddies from the SSN.....  that means more  red Birds  to shoot down..

 Gai spoke up,..I understand, how  they try to side  with who will make them rich..or...not eat them....but how do they get a whole fleet of people like that..and  send them out to fight us...

 Musette  chimed in ..I does not  make the  sense, Qui?... and none can say they came here to fight us?

You don't send a whole fleet to  protect  2 dozen transports.... they are here  to  fight us..or have us fight them..and I am more then happy , to fight them

 Frans  said a bit bitterly,..earth isn't home anymore..a least not  until this war is over.... then?...we'll have to retake Earth..

Roy moved in closer, looking at the things swimming around in the tank.  "I'm no biologist...but based on what we've encountered in the past, it looks like this is some kind of hybrid-breeding program," he said, making sure his comm was transmitting.  "We'll get detailed footage with the omni-comm, but it looks like they've been crossing Aqra and Demons...probably Tanks, by the look of things.  Guess they're making some kind of new shock trooper, or maybe something to seed on the carrier stations, in the oceans."

He paused, then grunted, and said, "Unless this was something the Aqra came up with on their own, then they might be breeding something better suited for combat with Demons...but without capturing an Aqra biologist attached to this project, there's not much chance of learning the truth on that."

He moved around to try and get a clearer view of the Demons.  "Hemsly...I want this place wired to blow.  Once we get all the footage and are ready to go, I want you to erase this from existence.  Copy that?"

  Hemsly Grinned,..Now,  we'll be settin' this place  a Fire......

 he dropped  his pack  and  called two troopers Up to help him.

  Lewis  walked  abotu  witht eh  Omincom on her back, with the lens wand  scanning  everything...Aspen  was  guarding her  as she did.


It was plain enough to see, that the demons  and   freakfish where both alive, in ther e  coonected  tubes... The smaller    versions  began to  Bump at the Mega Galss  when   awy one  was  close,  as if they wanted to  attack them.

  Robbins  and MAria were  Cutting   Hyro tubes that  lead to the doors  and  pistons  and such.. making sure  the   fluid  got  all over the  floor

  Hemsly talked to  Karson over the  COMs    so they could   do the  Same, Now  and again.. the sound  of   weapons or the  'whoosh' of  flame throwers  could be heard...

 10 Minutes  later, Hemsly said,..here ya  go SM.. One  trigger fer  yerself.... it  will go off  as soon as  you push it...

 Shoey COMed Back... where  headed Out... all set to  go..... I don't think those  things  will follow us  out... But  we laid   down hvery drop of  Naplam to  cover us ...

Roy nodded.  "Anyone see any sign of computers, data discs...any kind of records that could give us details of what the long-term plan was for this?" he asked over the comms.  If all they had was the footage, it would give them something...but notes of some kind could fill in a lot of gaps for them.  He'd started poking around as soon as the omni-comm started recording, hoping to get something that would answer a few of the questions that lingered after his visual inspection.

"Dr. Christy, anything you'd recommend we take a closer look at before we go?  There won't be much chance to come back for another look..."

 Az-el COMs  back,.. I have   found  some   disc's in a binder..nothing  else to be found  on this   end?.. I am thinking.. this is a plant?..perhaps  there were Others... maybe some of the others   where  Blown up  by other   Squadrons when they had thier  turn..

Roy nodded, even though the Angel couldn't see his gesture on the other end of the comm connection.  "Take those discs with you...they may be nothing more than inventories of supplies, but we'll see what kind of intel Beth can pry out of them."  He looked around for a moment, before saying, "Let's start pulling everyone out...Helmsly, Karson?  What's safe distance from the blast on these things?"

  Hemsly and Karson  argued  for a  few  seconds, and Finally Hemsly said,...dependin' on the stuff that's in here.. the Caverns   Might contain it all....

 ..or  Blow  it  some  100's of feet into the air...,might as well say it..eh?

 Hesly Nodded  and  looked at Roy...... so's  we go real fast side ways... or   real fast..waht high..

  Tucker  was   trying to chase the Deer  thigns  Up the  funnel..only one of them was goign up  though.

 Supe shouts,..Comon Tuck!..or  I'll shoot the thuings  and you won't have to worry about them.

 Will  and  Lippen were firing  at the Shapes  moving in the distance..  as the others  began to climb out of  shoey's  Hole.

 Andruss    fixed charges   on either   side of the   felrites  Hole, to help  close it up, then he  and the  felrites  started to   jog towards   the hovering  Shuttles

Garrat helps Rig the place the below, he also looks for computers and information.  If he finds me he stows them in his pack.   with the comment about shooting the deer, he cocks his head and says “you know that’s not half bad idea“ he cocks his rifle fires several rounds behind the deer to scare them into escaping .

Of the  4...  3 of the deer things get out of the Hole.. Tucker managed to grab a wee one and is carrying it on his shoulders.

 Supe  looked  beyond  anrgy,what the  9 hells is  wrong with you!  The  damn things  will get Blown up anyway.... or  soemthign willeat them!

  Tucker looked a bit   sad,well?.. they didn't hurt us none, nor give us away  when we came in the first time..... don't like  leaving  folks behind ...

Roy was the last man out of the structure on Tucker's side.  As he spiex Tucker carrying on of the deer-like creatures, he just shook his head.  "So...ah...Tucker?  What if these deer-things are subterranean, and can't survive on the surface?  Ever give that any consideration?  I mean...has anyone SEEN any of these outside the caves here?"  He didn't remember seeing them on the surface...but, then again, he'd been rather preoccupied.

"I applaud the enthusiasm...but what if you're chasing them out to their deaths?  If you've gotta carry it out, seems like it's not comfortable out there...unless these are the galaxy's klutziest deer, they should be more than able to make their way up any path we came down..."

  Tucker  shrugged the thing on his  back...saw  some, before  SM.. remember?.. Runnin' about the  filed  when we  were going in... and.. well... even if they live unde3rground.. that ain't no palce for them to be , when we light the place up?.... They can go back down later..or.. find  another Cave.... but  i never  seen a deer  what's  ta be in a cave?

 Supe    is walking up the  rocks  carrying Tucker's Ammo  Box.....a bunch of deer things?... you best not make a Habit of this, or  I'll tell  Doc henry to make you his... net handler, or somthing..

Justin followed the allicated patrol flight path he and Waggles had been assigned this had been expanded to cover an half sector to cover. Applying a Z top cover routine he and Waggles had a better view of the terrain below.

Roy just chuckled grimly and shook his head as he headed for the exit, keeping pace with the burner crew to cover the withdrawal of tye group.  "Shoemaker, give me the all-clear when your team's out...I don't want to chance anyone trying to outrun a wall of flames this time."  He kept an eye behind them to make sure none of the potential hybrids were sneaking up on them.

"Someone grab one of the bodies...we can let Dr. Christy analyze it...between that and the intel we get, we should get a more complete oicture of what, exactly, they were up to in here... "

    Each shuttle   group retrieved a body that was the least battered  from near the openings.

  The wrapped the things in  rain tarps to carry them  aboard. Tucker   let the  little one  run off towards the others  who were scampering across the  jagged  Plateau to the  northeast wood.


   When all were accounted for. The shuttle s rose into the  air....

Garrat laughs “I’m on it, no wounded to carry this time so I’m actually free.”  He picks up one of the most intact bodies and carries it out.

As the shuttles started to lift, Roy pulled the detonator and held it easily in one hand.  "Get us clear of the plateau, Stoly," he said...perhaps needlessly, but he wanted to make sure they flew away rrom the potential blast, rather than just up from it.  As the shuttles cleared the area, he said, clearly, "Fire in the hole!" and triggered the explosives.

"Any chance you can get me some blood or tissue samples?" said Henry, who really wanted to go take a look but if they were ready to blow it all up there wouldn't be anything left for him to see.

  The explosion rocked the plateau,   Fire shot  out of all three holes they knew about, and  another  five of  so the didn't. The RAvine  Lit up a bit showing there may have  been a hole or two there  as well.

  The  Plateau  was covered in dense Black  smoke, as if  some form  of oil burned, the Plateau , now  sunk  down in the Middle as the  funnels of  smoke  poured out of nooks and crannies  of the collapsed   stone.

 well..... I guess we can say  we didn't kill them all.. but  at least we  destroyed one factory. Will said .

 Lyri sat back and  looked at the trap covered body,..can we go home now....

 Stoly calls over, Nikki... you  pick up the Doc.. we'll head  straight up  with  Half of the fighters.. the other HAlf  will  wait  for you...

  You win.. Your flight, the Felrites  , M Flight and  G flight.. take the Spade up.. we'll wait on Nikki and the Doc..

 So saying  Shadow   Peels of    with His Flight ,  C, D and E  flight.. to  follow  the Diamond to Pick up Doc Henry at the CP.

Nikki finished her loading at the top hole.  Moving only slightly to allow for both shuttles to safely gain altitude. "On it.... See you in the hangar.  CP, Shuttle Diamond inbound for Dr. Christie" She banked and moved to pick up the good Doctor and companions.  When boarded and secured Nikki would close the ramp and prepare the shuttle to return to the Hermes.  The rest of the fighters in tow.

Hearing this, Henry made sure that his samples and notes were all packed and ready to go.

     with the  second shuttle loaded   , Shadow  led them Upwards, while the  other  flights  covered them.


  Larry was a bit  Muddy as he sat on teh Dec.. he  gave a few wet gurling growls  at the body  back with teh freak fish in...


  McNiel shook her  head,..Nasty things, those... straight out of  a monster movie...

He gave both of them bowls of water.

"And you need a bath, Larry."

 Larry's head  went  down  with a gurgled  whine...

 ..can't blame  the wee beastie,  Not too many Lizards  like to take baths.. they want to be....hidden..from thier enemies and such?
