Lizzy smiles at Chief West and listens closely what they are doing to her ship could save her life. She did have a big advantage of having her father show her all about fighters and she knew exactly what the chief was talking about.
 Lizzy looks at her fighter with her number 147 on her. Lizzy wan't super familiar with the new Mantis craft so she looked closely as the Chief told her what they where doing.
 Lizzy will say" Chief West thank you, anything I can do to help I grew up around fighters my Father is a pilot but he teaches now."

   Cheif  West  smiles,..well, Ma'am..comes   down to what you know?... Most piltos    check thier  Panels  and   load  Belts, others  who  know a little more   work on thier   Mechinsims ..But htere are some things  we won't let you mess with..like the Feeds  to the powercells  and  such, if the coupligns  aren't  right.. you'll trail Vapor... its like askign to be blown out of The Black.. its  worse in Atmo.. fires  start  pretty easy there.

 Lizzy spent her whole life around fighters she knew quite a bit, her father made sure of it. She spent hours with her Father working on his fighter. " Yes Chief even my Father didn't mess with those, I know a decent amount Chief" Lizzy will show off her knowledge with the fighter. She will show the Chief around and show him what she knows.

 The   Chief  Gives a firm smile and nod,  well Have  Fun, get to  know your Lady...'about  80% of the time, you both  leave together ..and you both  come back together...10 Percent pf the time, folks have to POD  out.. the other  10 %..well..neither   come back...

 Lizzy smiles and nods back at Chief West ," Thank you Chief I will get to know her well."
She thinks about what the Chief says about percentages of how they come back, well she plans to always be in the 80% range.

 Lizzy then dives into her fighter getting to know her intimately, that is when the flashes of the time she had with harry pop into her head, they where amazing but she shakes her head and gets back to work knowing your fighter and what it can can't do will save your life her father always told her. She will also check her survival gear ,one to see what is in there and make sure it is in tip top shape just in case.

"Really? It was all they allowed me to do on Alpha...that and cleaning them" Harry replied before beckoning Abby over to join her "the vets do their own belts so as to make sure that what they're firing won't kill them, this one for instance" Harry said reaching into the bucket beside her to hold up a cannon round with a misaligned tip "...most likely would have jammed in the barrel and then exploded when the next round hit it taking the front of my nose off" she explained, tossing the dud back into the bucket before taking a fresh round from the crate, holding it up to the light and then sliding it into the belt "remember it's you're ass that'll be floating in space if something goes wrong on your bird, so everything you double check is one less thing to go wrong" she said before returning Lizzy's wave as she passed "That's Lizzy, she's six months or so ahead of your class, from what I gather she was supposed to be on the Apollo but we exchanged her for Billups who had family there" she explained, as she loaded another pair of rounds before then standing up straight "come on, let's go and look at your bird, I'll show you what you need to look out for" she said, signalling for Abby to lead the way "besides quit complaining, two more kills and you'll be painting your bird up like the rest of us" Harry added with a grin.

  Abby   Moved   up..   she stoped and Loked at the Frist  three in  the libe.. Shadow's  , Flores  and  kAt's  Nose  art..

 she moved out a bit to  get an angle on the   Kill stickers....look at  all of them  markers!..wonder there's  nay of  'em left to fight us!

   abby   saw a  Guy   checking the skids   and  the   armor panels on the Bottom. Frogive me  if I don't   stand and Salute, Ma'ams ..  Captain has  us  checking  all the   cockpiut bottom  plates.. The LC  wants to  make sure they are OK  for   Ground  support..

She would follow Abby down the flight line to where her fighter was berthed, with her baby sister pausing every now and again to marvel at the number of kill decals adorning people's aircraft "you'd think that, but they still keep coming at us" Harry replied with a grim smile before carrying on to where they found one of the ground crew checking the skids and belly armour of a fighter to see if they would stand up to ground fire "And how are they looking? Do I need to start sitting on a kevlar jacket?" Harry asked recalling tales of Vietnam vets sitting on their helmets whilst in the back of a helicopter so as to avoid being shot by ground troops.

    The fellow   replied,,,Looks  like  its   think enough to stop Heavy Pulse..LArgan   HArd Ammo  AA  will break through  after a  few  hits....Fighter  to Fighter  weapons   might   be deflected    a few times..but there isn't   too many fighters, outside of Hyrian  Heavies  that can take  much of that anyway.

  Argie  came  walking  around the  front of  the Line,..hey?.. You're  the  New  One, LC  to  said  to let him know  if you  show up to check on your   ride..

 ..Yeah...   no  much to  do other then  Hang out on the red dec...

Argie laughs,wait until you  get the  COM for the Run tomorrow morning.. I hear.. a Lap in the tunnels  and  somethign else..then straight to the Aircraft, to see how you  workout.

  Lizzy's  fighter seemed to be in good shape, brand  new  fighter, fresh paint.  She  would have   to choose a  'long  arm'  and pick up  a  pair of  grenades, or some such. other wise her  kit was standard  with   a thermal blanket  pack,  a box of  rations , canned  water and  small Med Tech kit.

Henry arrived on the Hanger Dec... the bio-tech with the feathered serpent was due to arrive soon. Mila padded along beside him, keeping close in the bustle of the Hanger Dec, it was a bit chaotic and noisy for her.

"See, now isn't that something to look forward to?" Harry said with a mischievous grin when Argie broke the news to Abby that she was going on another run in the morning, with her sister still limping from this mornings outing "look on the bright side, it would appear that you've passed some kind of test just by being here" Harry said before continuing on to Abby's fighter.

She would begin by showing Abby how to open the various panels on her aircraft so as to reveal the various parts of the 37mm Gatling cannon housed within. She would get her to rotate the barrel so she could check to see how smoothly it rotated before then showing her the belt feed mechanism and explaining what she needed to look out for to make sure it was working correctly. Once she'd shown her all this and was certain that Abby had been paying attention and understood what she'd been told they would sit on the floor and begin loading an ammo belt...correction they would sit on the floor and Abby would load an ammo belt, Harry meanwhile just watched and advised "If you like I can also show you how to change the factory settings on your sensor suite and targeting computer, stuff like that can make a world of difference when it comes to detecting bogeys and on how accurate your guns are...we also need to get you a long arm for your survival kit, how was your score on the rifle range anyway?"

  Argie  Looked  at  the   Harry,..You  Misunderstand, Ma'am?   ALL...the piltos  are going  for the  Runs  and    exercises.. then  stright  to the Fighters   for  some  kind of   Training.. um... he's  Not  tellign anyone  Until they get thier  COMs  in the Morning.


 Abby  gave a wane  smile to HArry.we both ahve something to look forward  to!...  Then,  as she began to load, she  answered,..better  with a  Side  arm then a  rifle, I ra ther  Fancy   a Hard Ammo Thomposon...

 The Shuttle  ramp came  down, a few  Civie s hurried  off   to get checked in.. Nina Santos  steeping  through the    Hatch  with   her    serpent , perched  on her  shoulder   and wrapped   around her   Chest.. a fellow followed  after he r  with   three Bags.  She GAce Henry a Wave.

 Lizzy checked everything, and she was very pleased how her fighter looked. She looked at her survival kit and knew she had to go get a little more than what she had in there. She was excited and a little scared but she was ready, Lizzy knew she was ready. As she looked through her survival gear she couldn't help thinking of her time with Harry. It was amazing spending time with her and she can't wait to have fun with her again. She smiles as she then leaves her fighter and head across the hanger.
 She would head over towards Captain Morris and flag him down and then say," Sir where do I get a long arm, grenades and anything else i need for my survival kit sir?"

Smiling Henry came over.

"Welcome aboard, Nina. So glad you were able to come and work with us for a while."

"Yeah a Thompson probably wouldn't be a bad idea, you don't need to be the world's greatest shot with one of those...plus the .45 rounds pack a punch when you do hit" Harry replied, still a touch miffed that she was going to be called out on a training exercise tomorrow morning "I've got an MP5K in mine, never could get on with rifles but I'm a dab hand with a machine pistol especially when fired from the window of a moving car" she said with a laugh before giving her sister a rather anxious look "um...Abby...did...did anyone ever tell you what I was doing before I joined the ESN?" she asked, knowing from previous conversations that her parents had told Abby practically nothing about her. She was a little worried about telling her sister about her decidedly shady past but knew that it would sound better coming from her rather Abby learning about it elsewhere.

    Morris  Stopped  na d waite d  for Lizzy to Catch Up...you may  go to the QMs  to  pick out  your  weapon for   your  survival  compartment.. I would   suggest some   think  easy  to carry..STandard  Pusle   rifles   are  a bit  long... and if you are  running through a jungle or  climbing a Mountain  it may Impede  you

 ..I am sure, being on The Apollo   for a bit, you have  been told  about  having  a  boot  knife  and sidearm at all times....

  Abby    looked   at  one  rind  that had the   tip a bit  bent....Bloody 'ell?   I didn't know they made them like this!

   She Looked  around, Argie  had   Flores   Gun Housing open.... so?... what  the story on the LC  then? He has  Girl?  he  ha d Lots   of Girls?..is he a bloody Monk?..Cause his quarters  didn't look like there were  many Ladies in it..... Has a  recruiting Poster over  his Bleedin' bed.. who does that?

 Gia   was walkign up  the  flight lines.....Ahhh.. teaching the   young  one how  to load.... Had you been on  Etna.. yo would  be  very FAmilar  with loading Belts... though, not  so much, the flying...

I  am somewhat worried   how they  will use  Gorgo...  The  Snake  curled    a bit     its ehad   watchign the people  and  flinched, now and again  at the whine  of  Hyperdrivers  and Hydro spanners... shouts   from  ground grew  calling  for  items

 Lizzy saw Captain Morris wait for her, and after he spoke she would say," Yes sir thank you, oh yes I actually learned all of that from my father Sir, his call sign was "Wombat" he teaches on Fuji now. Thank you again Sir."

 Lizzy would give the Captain a salute and then head off to the Quarter masters shack.
When she gets there, she will go up to the window and say," Hi there I am Ensign Elizabeth Maris number 147, I would like to get 4 grenades, and side arm with 2 extra clips, a boot knife and a compact submachine gun with several extra clips please?" Lizzy kind of chuckled it was like she was ordering from a fast food place but it was weapons.  Lizzy would stand there smiling waiting for her requests.

A good amount of time passed she had just finished her clear coat on her Mech, "That's all done... Clark is gonna have to bust ass to get his done tomorrow" she said as she wiped her hands off on a shop towel.

"Let's get you two somewhere quieter," said Henry, noting the feathered serpent's distress.

Assuming that Abby either already knew or didn't want to know about her past, Harry would quickly drop the subject with her feeling more than a little relieved to do so and instead they would move onto Abby's favourite topic of conversation. That being LC Shadow's love life "well the whole playboy, shag anything with two legs and a pulse thing is completely made up and is just an act for the media, as for his actual love life...I'm not sure...they were rumours of Beth and Flores sharing his bed though whether they're in a relationship with him or just friends with benefits I don't know" Harry responded with a noncommittal shrug. Truth be told she knew very little of the LC's love life and wasn't interested enough to bother finding out.

Hearing the familiar sound of Gia's voice, Harry would chuckle at her comment before adding "...or you'd be on a step ladder with a bucket of water cleaning them, with bonus points if you did so wearing a bikini" the roll of her eyes saying that she'd never stooped to that particular low.

  Gia   gave a sly smile,..and something.. i f the  Bathign suit   'falls off".. you nmight get  some extra  flight time!

  ..You are much Lucky, you did  not serve on Etna... Harry and I did  get some payback though..in teh BAttle of the  Field..or more to the Point.. Just  after  when   we chased  down the Largan Fleet...

  She got   a bit  serious   as she said, while lookign at Abby, then to  Harry...that is  when your  hero..became   a bigger hero to me..... it  is one thing to get  even?.. it is   another thing  to  allow others  thier  share of meat...

 Lizzy came back into the Hanger Deck carrying hear weapons and headed for she fighter number 147.
 She she gets to her ship she will check out the Thompson and make sure it is in perfect combat condition. She will store the extra drum, and the two grenades, then she will check to make sure everything else is stored away and she will close up her fighter.
 She then climbs up and takes a look into her cockpit.

As Abby turned to look at her, an evil smile would slowly appear on her face at the memory of finally managing to get her revenge after waiting such a long time "there was a group of officers who had...lets say wronged us during our stay on Etna, and unsurprisingly they didn't take to Shadow so when they went gunning for him during the Battle of the Field, Gia and I managed to finally get the revenge we so desperately wanted, I mean you'll never know how good it felt to finally kill that bastard!" Harry said with a wistful look on her face as she recalled the way his fighter had exploded after she'd riddled it with cannon fire before then turning to share a knowing smile with Gia. A shared victory that no one could take away from them.

  Gia  nodded  with a grin,..Yes..thus  so!... The LC lead them on a merry  chase, and  we got to  finish them off The  will  never  do to other  again, what  they did to us...
