Roy nodded as he listened to Teela's report.  "See if you can do an IR sweep of the area...if he's got snipers hidden, it's going to be hard for them to mask body heat, unless they're in specially-prepared positions...which might very well stand out under thermal viewing as being a different temperature than the spaces around them...not as warm.  Check the buildings and the mountainside...based on the fact that so many reinforcements at the last place came out of the woods, I'm guessing they likely came from there."

He checked his weapons...the Verian pistol still had about half its charge...ten shots, give or take; he had one magazine left for the machine pistols.  He went through all the others that he'd popped during lulls in the fight, and scrounged up another five rounds...thirty-five shots wouldn't last long in heavy traffic.  He removed one pistol and its holster, grabbed a salvaged pulse rifle and a couple of power packs, checking them to make sure they were close to fully charged.

"We should be on approach in five minutes, we'll take a low sweep over the mountainside to see if we scare anything up.  Do you see anything that looks like it might be anti-air defenses?  It wouldn't be heavy...too much risk of blowing a hole in the station's hull...but depending on the guy's ego, he might have left himself open to a frontal assault from the rooftop.  I'm sure Hemsly would love setting breaching charges to drop that roof on the rest of the building, if that's an option.  Make the sweep, then see about finding yourself a good vantage point to watch the compound...bonus points if it's got a good view of that rooftop party."

  hearing Roy's  COM,  Supe    broke into   COMs,..alright, the ice cream trucker is coming.... we have a  few flavors here..should be in your neighborhood  in 9 more minutes...

 ..bit of  an Undate  for the Stem?.. we can see   gunfire  all over the place,  as we near the 'lower's Middle'... There are two more Drop shuttles on the ground?.. Cummings  isn't messing around. There are two MedVAc shuttles   from  Med Tech ships  parked on the ground too?.... They are having  a party, any one of the 9 hells would love...

 Simms  was   driving the VAn..  Supe, Zob ,Hawkes and Hemsly.

  Hemlsy, Like KArson before him, opened a brick of  C-10.. he  made  some  flat discs  and  some round  balls. ..I like  ta  call this  flat ones  Biskets.  you throw  them   like   one of  the  disc toy things?..... or  you  just slap it against a  Wall or door...

 Will was  watching his COM for news in the  area,..well folks?.. seems    some terrorists attacked the Uppers?.. some buildings  are on fire, and ..um..'several'.. Etna  SEC, troopers  died..thwey also think there  is a 'large number' of  the attackers  dead...

 He  thumbed though  some more  screens,..it appears.. that several Pilots    were killed  at various parties... no names  here  but, I guess they were from other ships? They were found, either poisoned  to stabbed.

  Yates shook her  head,I don't even pretend  to know  what you guys  are doing?.... But if  Elge  says  we need   to help?..its  Good  enough for me.           

    “I’m setting down on the roof of an office building that seems abandoned.   There are Several other hotels that don’t seem to have the celebration going on. It might be interesting if some Hermes celebrities dropped by and scoped out that celebration.”

“Roger that, Roy. I was thinking a drop and roof entry would be best as well. Stand by, about to do the IR recon.” Teela slipped the visor down on her helmet and activated IR and continued circling the area.

“I have visual on one guard on the roof. He has a rifle and keeps looking in the direction of the cabin fire. Negative contact on the mountains or surrounding buildings,” she said as she continued to circle and recon the area.

"Copy that...one armed guard on the roof, no other activity of note.  We'll turn our approach into a general fly-over to buy a little more time for the ice cream to arrive.  It just wouldn't be a party, otherwise." He gave a dry chuckle.

"It would be nice to get bodies in that party...but at this point, it would mean having to delay long enough to round up a competent team and get them there...best case scenario isarrival 5 minutes behind Supe, more likely 10 or 15, plus time for them to assess the party...which is that much more time for our target to either dig in or run.  I think we've gotta gamble on it...unless..." He paused for a moment then asked, "Beth?  How fast can you find out who's in that hotel and booked for the rooftop?  Hopefully, if it's a red-flag situation, Elge would recognize the name..."

  Elgle  COMed back,....the party is  mostly..from what i see here?.. Charity stuff... orphans  and  wives  things... maybe   supplies  for   new colonies..that kind of  things...That Hotel is the  'Grand  Sky'..the  Group called.....'Human Outreach'..has   rented it  for tonight...trying to draw  some of the Fleet backers to throw  creds  thier way... We  might be able to send Shadow there.. with an escort..?

  Supe's voice  broke in..Simms  says... about 4 minutes  until we  pop out of the Stem

Letting out a yawn, Harry would take a hand off the wheel in order to rub one of her eyes with the heel of her gloved hand; smearing the black eye shadow she was wearing so that she resembled a bedraggled member of the Kiss Army. She was tired, irritable and less than impressed with Roy's suggestion that there might be anti-aircraft positions hidden on the targets property, knowing full well there was nothing she could do to evade even the smallest of guns in this thing "yeah because that's all we need" she quietly grouched as she proceeded to give the party a flyover in order buy time for Supe and the others to join them.

Meanwhile Will would read out a handful of recent news bulletins concerning the nights festivities and how it was all being attributed to terrorists, including the death's of several pilots prompting a grimace from Harry "I warned them someone was targeting our parties and going after pilots!" she quietly snarled to herself before adding in a defeated voice "...why did I even bother"

    As HArry   flew over the   Buildings, she could see this  party   was what  Shadows  was suppose to be...if he didn't have to  worry about wounded  people, orphaned kids, or  giant lizard dogs , being hauled in and out.

  Many of the LAdies   were testing the pool with or without  thier gowns  or dresses... and   a few of the Men where joining them.

  They weren't  the only vans  doing fly-bys of the party, as   Some Media  folks    had  Cameras  showing  while  people waved to them.

  at least 100 people  were on the roof, ages  very old, to , what looked   like, airbrushed  Teenagers.

 Supe  broke into the COMs,Popping out  now..where   show  we meet to  hand out the treats?

 Elge's Voice  was  a whisper, as he...too... broke in on the COMs,..This is   Elge....  we have..um...circumvented... Stefi and   The Commander,  Shadow is  en route  with Frans   and Eckles  as his  DAtes.... there is  a  Mrs Pickworth..at the party?..she is a Contact i use to send kids through to colonies   in the Delta and Astra  groups.... she is  currently  working  with E-1, E-2  and   Aqra, as they all need  young  people...

 ..he is  coming in  with a bright  yellow  convertable..he will have a   suit, the ladies have...i guess?  they are dresses?.....  he should be on site in 6 minutes or  so...

Teela facepalmed as she was flying. "You circumvented Stefi and the Commander? Commander Si? You did that and let a wounded Shadow out on an op? You poor, poor soul. Si is likely to pull your arms off when she finds out."

well?..who would you send..at this late  hour.. who culd get into a party.....

  Supe laughs,..if you are smart?  you jump off the roof  now, beofre   the Commander finds out...

   “I’ve got a good overlook of the party and the target from here.  But if you want to check on the anti aircraft all I have to do is an over fly.  I’m a smaller faster target and harder to hit.  I just need someone to spot the launch so I can hit the dirt and put things between me and the missile”

Roy grimaced...if Shadow had been wounded enough for Commander Si to order him grounded for the night, he didn't want to think of everything that could go wrong 8f the party was an EDT front.  But it was too late, now, Shadow was on his way...

"Well, we're not delaying until Shadow gets here.  Harry, put us in the outer circuit of media vans.  That should give us a good vantage point to watch the area while Garrat does a flyby of the compound.  Garrat...keep in mind they're likely to realize who you are, no matter how fast you fly through...there just aren't many humanoids your size to start with.  I'll leave it to your judgment,  how close you want to fly, and how fast...but keep in mind a good sniper can take you off that bike with barely a flicker of muzzle flash...they don't necessarily need anti-air missiles or artillery.  So don't give them a clear shot if you can help it.  Harry will cue it, when we've turned to face the compound and have a clear view of the area...on her call, buzz that building."

  Simms  came on the COMs..  I am to the North..  staying   close   enough to the Hull to  be ignored, but  not  to be hiding..i hope?..where  should   we meet you...

 From where  we are?... I can see the Fire Control  guys    are clustered  around , what's left of the CAbins.. those  fire  guys  must love the Delta Fleet... supe  Chuckles

 .. Ok>,,,   I never  crashed a party before...mostly, ebcause  i'm invited to them all.. anyway... I'm Gonna  land on the  EVAC  pad?... should make    a nice  entrance .. When frans  get out of the  car, they should draw  some eyes,  unless thier dress  fall off, then  they'll draw all the eyes...

 there was a  thud in the back round …

 Ouch!..watch the elbow!....Anyway.. got about   3 more minutes until we   reach it..Media  VAns should  see a bright  yellow  Aircar.

 Will   called up front,..see!..this is more  fun then walkign around tunnels!

  Yates  looked  at Spencer  and  asked, levelly,..so?  all this  talk  about  'Delta  Nights'..they are  real?... You guys come into a station and run around killing people?

  “Roger that.” Garrat said disattaching his combat back and leaving it hidden on the rooftop.

    Garrett have no illusions that face to face with a very recognizable but he doubted that a blob flying in the dark of night without  running lights Would be easily recognizable as Garrat Wolfrim.   Still, maybe Spencer needs something he didn’t. But that would just ensuring he drew in the fire that was there to be drawn which would paint the target.

    However, he was not about to go in and get his ass shot up. He circled around the complex and came in from another direction constantly changing altitude and direction buzzing it the close byAnd then continuing to where he can duck out of sight.  “Tesla, any response?”

“Not that I see. I’m still checking IR and there haven’t been any heat blooms. Where do you want the van to touch down so we can resupply, Roy?” Teela asked over comms.

Roy grinned at Yates' question.  "Well...it's usually not on this scale, but we're trying to catch up with years of crooked leadership out here.  And we don't always kill people...Elge was one of our targets and Shadow ended up recruiting him.  We're just trying to get things to the point where you guys can keep a lid on the place...break down EDT operations far enough that there's no chance they can compete with you...or worse yet, take you all out and leave us with a safe haven for EDT in the middle of what's supposed to be APF space."

He heard the inquiries about where to rendezvous the vans, and scowled slightly.  "Let's pick a rooftop outside the ring around our target...speed's more important than stealth, right now, but don't have everyone land together there...let's keep some eyes on the target and rotate through who needs to pick stuff up.  Teela, you go first, as soon as Garrat's back in position for sniper duty.  We'll go in as you leave."

“Roger that. I’m seeing some activity in the target building but I can’t make it out. The building was made to block this kind of recon.” Teela banked and headed for the landing site to resupply.

   Garrat returns and sets up. "I'm not the best sniper.  Think they can approve Lyri for light duty?  She lives for these things and I imagine she's chomping at the bit right now."

  Sims   said,well?  There   another    4 stroy, about a Block from the beach..lots of trffic  being Funneled that way... vehicles  going up and  down?.. don't know who much  they  will Notice.... I'll Land.. we'll wait , they may think we are just party Buddies  or something.

  He ehads to wards the Building  about  3 blocks  to the  5:00  from  the target building.

 Yates nods,..I was a trooper  before  you guys came in... damn hard for a woman to do  damn near anything... Used to watch Vids of  some of those pilots blowing stuff up... flying  right up there  with the Big  guys?...

 That Sniper  chick?... Lyri?  I didn't know it was her  until   that big gy said her name...she's like a hero to alot of  us  ground troops...

 Shadow's  Voice  came over the COMs.....made some  good time....though there is a   deliver van that  couldn't   quite  understand my need  for  speed..  I guess  they'll have insurance for that?.... anyway.. breaking out of the stem in  1 minute..

 YAtes  frowns,..then again..guys like that?.. I'd  rather see flying in space, then  running around my station.

"Roger that, moving into position" Harry said as she moved the van to move round the outer ring of media vans currently watching the pretty young things skinny dipping in the rooftop pool. Tearing her eyes away from the party taking place a short distance away Harry would take a moment study the target building and it's surrounding grounds "There's a gate to the East of the property leading to the mountains that could be used as an entry point...though you'd have to deal with at least a pair of Wort handlers" she suggested when the topic of landing sites came up, though not before reminding Will that he was still in her bad books "oh well I'm sorry my choice of mission didn't live up to your exacting standards" she sneered as she continued to maintain her current flight path around the party building, as she waited for the others to decide on a landing zone.

  Sims   LAnded.   Supe  , Zob  and Hemsly got out, they left the weapons in until the others  came around.

 Will looked  at Little wounded , but  shrugged   as he  went  back to  watching the COMs, he was  but  a trooper, and didn't  know the ways of women.

 ..So?.. SM? This whole 'August-guy' thing?... if we had  word on him.. why wasn't he iced as soon  as he introduced himself at the party?

 Shade  styarted  to    explain   with a myriad of  npoices and  arm waving, then he stared at   Will...

 Will looked   at the others  and BAck to Shade,..sorry..Ambassador?.. but.. i don't understand....

 Shade just let out a metallic  sigh...

 YAtes  looked at Shade, then to  Roy...wait?..Ambassador?... That's... him?

Roy grinned at Yates' comments about Lyri and Shadow.  "Shadow is...well, I guess you could call him an acquired taste.  But I'd be dead, a few times over, without the Master Chief...and we'd both be dead, a few times over, without Shadow.  Don't buy into the public persona...it's a pretty distorted version of Shadow, and it serves our purposes to let people think that's who he is."

He was about to answer Will when Shade cut in...and about to venture a guess at what was said when Yates asked another question.  "Yeah...he's the ambassador for the Verian faction that's joined the APF.  And don't let his size fool you...he might be the most dangerous individual in this vehicle.  Due to some genetic anomalies, he hasn't been able to pick up human speech patterns yet...but Shadow understands him just fine, and so do the Verians...and there's a girl on the Hermes who picked up on his dialect and can translate damn near everything he says.  The rest of us just kinda wing it."

He looked at Will.  "I got the impression that we found out about this August guy after operations were already in motion...and word obviously didn't make it all the way around.  And even if it had...how long have you been on the Hermes?  Long enough to have seen Shadow ignore blatant warnings about people and handle them in his own way...who's to say he didn't try it again, only this time, he wasn't tricky enough?  Don't second-guess operations until you get the full brief on them."

As the van circled, Roy added, via comms, "Last we saw, Lyri was barely conscious and we weren't even sure of the full extent of her injuries.  At this point, I don't even know if they've seen her yet, much less finished treating her...but I'm for damn sure not asking Stefi to send her back out.  She's probably already prepared to vivisection whoever sent Shadow out...I'm not drawing her attention with ano TVher request for a wounded trooper.  Safer to stand there and have you shoot around me...at least if I die that way, it'll be quick..."

"Lyri took two pulse rounds to the shoulder and had one graze her head. She was unconscious when I got to her so she's likely concussed and in no shape to come out here. I'll be back on station shortly, Garrat," Teela said as she picked up extra mags, spare rounds, and more dermafoam and plast.

"I bloody warned them about him" Harry once again grumbled in a bad tempered voice just under her breath at the mention of August and why he hadn't been shot on sight. Roy's explanation was feasible enough, and it wouldn't surprise her to learn that Shadow had tried to tackle him alone and misjudged him, but all the same it kind of felt like she'd been ignored.

Seeing as Garrat hadn't exploded under a barrage of anti-aircraft fire, it was probably safe to assume that there weren't any AA position hidden on the targets property...that or they simply didn't think a lone hover bike was worth the effort. Either way Harry would break away from the ring of media vans in order to make the rendezvous with the others. After finding the roof top in question she would gently bring the van in to land next the already waiting van and shutting down the engine.

  As Harry  set the VAn Down, Supe   walked over,All right  folks?..  help yourself.. we  got   45 cal..9 mm..50 call and  Power  Cells, we have  6 Frags left....Hemlsly is making  some of hsi   Biskets and  C-10 sphrre.. he has  about   15 made  so far...

 Will went over  and  started to load a  Mag with  .45 cal  ammo  for his  grease gun the    rounds  went in   quickly, and he  two an extra  loaded  Mag to put into his pocketed leather  pack.

 once  he   finished loading    his  used  mags, he  took a hand  full of  45  cals  and  put  them in a pocket and  buttoned it up..

   He would look  up at Smile at  HArry, then   continue to load  his  M3.

 YAtes  took   a fresh powercell  ejected  the old one  and putting it in the van

  Shade  used  the  9 MMs for the modified   MP40..he  had  to load up the  expended mags, and   filled his pouch with loose  round.

 ..and here  we  are, breaking the  Stem..headed to the party... Shadow said.

Zob was quiet as he grabbed a few more power cells he had his heavy pulse gun ready to go as well as the shotgun he brought with him just in case, "I'm more or less ready to go"

Roy looked at the assortment and sighed.  "Shoulda had you bring some .30s..." he said.  With a dissatisfied look on his face, he grabbed a couple of power cells for his confiscated rifle.

"Okay...I'm thinking we don't even bother trying to fight our way in...we come in with the vans from two different angles.  Teela or Garrat drop any guards on the roof, we land next to the bodies, Hemsly makes us an entry, and we go in hard and fast.  Once we're in, if it doesn't look like there's any threat of anyone coming in behind us, Teela and Garrat can drop down from their perches and join the action, but I want them up there long enough to watch for anyone trying to back-door us, or for anyone trying to make a break for it on the ground."  He spoke with the comm open, so Teela and Garrat could hear for sure, and so Beth and Elge had a chance to speak up if there was anything from their end that could enhance the plan...such as it was.

With everyone stocking up on ammunition for the upcoming assault Harry would likewise help herself to a pair of 9mm magazines for her uzi along with a frag grenade that she clipped to her belt. It was as she was doing this that she would catch sight of Will smiling at her as he loaded his own weapon ”It’s going to take more than that to get you back in my good books pal” Harry said giving him an unimpressed look, although much of the previous venom was no longer in her voice.

Meanwhile Roy would make his suggestion of a two way assault on the target building. Although the smash and grab approach lacked finesse there was no denying how effective it could be ”sounds good to me...where do you want me?”

   Will titled  his head  , as he had  no clue  what was  wrong.   then settled his    weapons   belt  around  him

 Hemsly    looked at Roy as he finished up a few more   'biskets'.. so?.. watch   ye want me ta do?.. Blow the  door on that stairway/elevator thing?.. or   ya  want  me to blow a hole in the roof.. between you an' me?  I dunna  wanna  be stuck in a lift  wih bad guys  all around?


 Hawkes  says,..this guy is a weapons   mover.. right?...... so we  gotta be  ready  for  a war, going in..

 shade  sat on the roof.  he  was tweaking something  in his  left  hand   as he  adjusted the Flame that  was  flickering  on   the 'pointer  ' finger of the  three fingered  hand.

 Hemsly shook his head  with a  bit of envy,..the  things  i could  do, if me own 'and  could do that!

 Simms  whacked him on the back,..Yeah? Like  Blow  a hole  in  the Hermes the size of a small moon...

   The   bright yellow   aircar, was circling the   party..  they could hear the sound of the horn  as  Shadow let the car be seen, and who was in it.

  ..Ok?..Beth.. Roy?... we're  going in now>..media seems real happy with us..so?...

 Eckles    can be heard to say,.. you let me know?.. if we have to  get naked and stuff, I'll  do it for you!...

 Beth growled,..ECK!

 ..what?.. I'm a Team Player...

 Frans   just said,..kill me now....

  the  car    zipped between two Media Vans  as the crowd  waved and    shouted ,   the pilot  did  some  low  fly  bys  and  had them cheering, before he  finally  settled  down on the EVAC  circle...  almost all the people rushed  forward ( including unclothed  swimmers).. at elast a dozen male   guest  just stood  by the tables glaring at the pilot and his   'dates"

As the rest of them team tried to work out the details for the assault Harry would take advantage of the natural lull to vent her frustrations on her seemingly clueless boyfriend "I can't believe you went and ditched me back there! I felt like a right lemon sitting by that van by myself!" she said in an angry whisper, hoping to try and keep this little domestic between the two of them "I've never been in a gun battle that big and you went and bloody left me!" she continued, jabbing her finger into his chest for emphasis, though seeing as he was wearing a chest plate all she really achieved was to hurt her finger "...I've never felt so bloody useless in all my life" she quietly finished, looking ever so slightly downcast as she did so.

  Will  looked hurt, he gave his ehad a shke and said,.. You  are were the driver..and?..  you were the one with the elast expericance  on the ground..at least..in  a Damn opened battle like that.... it turned out ok?.. but what if  we had to run? and you weren't   there?..   The SM  was  in the open, more or less,  and Me and Zob were the closest  ground  people  there?..and that's before   we knew Shade was comign around the corner?

 he   looked around  , hoping   not to cause too big a  scene,.... whatif  we lost the SM, because  i didn't move up?... what if  Shade  would have been killed, ebcause the SM  was killed?.... none of that happened... and if things  would have  went bad.. we  would have had you to  take us out of that soup.. I didn't think?.. I reacted?

 giving her a nudge and a smile,..you did great?... and  now you  have something  eles to put in  your diary.... " dear Bloody diary... i was in a blood  mess  I was,  cat things bouncing all about?..  poeople getting legs  blown off..right bit of  a barny it was.. "  he rgins   cutting off  'better then  the LC's"  british  accent.

Roy nodded to Hemsly.  "The more surprises we can throw at them, the better.  If anything, I want the lift completely disabled...but we're going through the roof, not the door."  He paused, flashing a wicked grin.

"Just don't collapse the whole roof underneath us..."

He glanced over at Harry and Will, catching the tail-end of Will's 'performance'.  He cleared his throat, raising an eyebrow in over-exaggerated surprise, and said, "We'll keep the same people behind the controls in the Van's, but we ought to make sure we're more or less balanced in numbers between the two."

Party Roof.

 Shadow  Jumped  Over the  side of the door,  and  Leped out  Frans  and Eckles who showed  very much, in the way of Leg  and how to ...just...make sure  that's all was seen.

 The other people gathered  around,

 " you're Shadow?.... Aren't you Frans?.. You're Eckels!..."  and questions followed   about   kills, Frans Father.. Eckles being sought  after, ect ect. "

 An older man with  an open rove, hair  soaked  had his arms  around the waists of  two  younger  woman, who didn't bo9ther with the robes,what brings  you to my party?

 Ahh,  well?... You know...my party was  winding down..Got the Admirla  right across the roof..so.. when he shuts  down, we gotta  shut down, and?  to be fair, alot of my friends  were tired.. so  i asked  for volunteers  to  hunt  down other parties..and look what we say?

 people  cheered..  some guys  moved   in to   take  Frans  and Eckles  to the   bar,  ladies crowed  around Shadow to do the same....

   there were 6  guys  in suit s  Drinking and nibbling, they never moved  from the tables.. But.. all the  focus was on  the three newcomers  now, One of them a  red HAired   fellow..not much older the  Shadow,..so?.. Just like that.. you decide to Crash the  party?..Like you owned the joint?

 some of the grils   around Shadow lost thier  smiles.. others   held on tighter...

 ...and you are?

 The  fellow looked a bit darker  as he slowly sipped from his drink,..I am Sir   Griffon... I  am in transportaion...

   Realy?.. because  you look like you are in a  really cheap suit...

 The  fellow  took a  Step  toward  Shadow, Shadow  never  flinched, but his half  smile  grew, more   antagonistic.. a Blonde   fellow fellow  Grabbed  Griffon,..For give my  Friend..I am Sir  Vester...

 he offered his hand,  Shadow smiled  and declined the shake because of the  wet , unclothed  LAdie shanging on his arms..

 Frans  has her best  , prom queen, smile as she came over and nodded to then,  the  guys who got her  a drink Trailing..   Eckles had her arms  around on  guy with  T shirt and shorts,  the other  guy..um..just came from the pool..Eckles  does her best  'air head' and says,wow...all these Sirs?.. we  had a Sir   January...

 Frans  rolled her  eyes,..Sir August....

 eckles giggles,..I knew it was some month... but he  came to our party..he didn't get in though..SEC can be real mean

 Griffon  looked at them,..you met August?.... where is he?

 Shadow looked Sad,never had  much time to talk?.... His  Gril friend, left him..and he  took off?...guess they hada ....falling out?

 frans  nods  and smiles   slightly,..you know him?  since he is a Sir?

 The  Older  guy  comes up behind  Frans     puts   an arm  around her  waist and  chuckles..why?.. Yes.. he is a Member of my  group.. we are  all into Transport... I am.. Arthur  King...

  Shadow  looked  aft Frans.. Frans  looked  at the  man,..of   course you are...

 Sims  says   as   he  watched through his scope....hey guys?.. what ever   we're gonna  do.. we best do it?... they are  all Hearding  around   frans , Eckles  and  Shadow.... don't know how long that will last?

"I guess so" Harry meekly responded as Will explained why he'd done what he'd done with her knowing full well that he had a point...several in fact, she just wished that he'd given her some kind of a warning about what was going to happen. As he broke into a better than average attempt at her accent, or at least better than Shadows anyway, Harry couldn't help but return his grin before Roy brought them both back to the here and now.

Once again Harry was to remain with the van whilst a pair of teams made their move into the property via a hole in the roof, which seemed fine though she couldn't help wondering if there wasn't a easier way "um...just a thought but seeing as this guys an arms dealer and is liable to have a ton of weapons, mercs and security systems in place do we really want to be going inside? I mean it's four in the morning so there's a good chance he's in bed so why not just place a big ol' block of C10 on his bedroom window and blow him to hell?" Harry suggested whilst raising her hand like a school girl in order to get their attention "...I mean even if we don't get him there's a good chance they'll try and evacuate him so we just get Teela to shoot him during the confusion when he runs outside with everyone else...that or we just get Hemsley here to bring the entire building down...it'd be nice to outdo Shadow for a change....not that it's a competition or anything"

  Hemlsy Grins and nods his head pointing to Harry,..now,  ye see the bonnie lass  has the right of it!.. bring the hole Buildin'  down on him... on everyone!

 Simms  turned to them and  said,..if me  and  HArry  gotta  stay with the vans?.. you want is in the air, oo on the roof?.. i mean?  if  we blow a hole?.. every one's goign to know?... if we blow the Building, it won't matter who knows?

Teela turned and looked over. "They really are. There's quite a bit of anatomical distortion going on over there," she said before turning back. "Arms dealer with a walled compound and a killing ground, no windows on the top floor. I guarantee he has security measures on that third floor and likely a small army in that outer building and we are low on available backup. We need to be quick and clean or total shock and awe."

    Garrat is scanning the floors.  "Or we can just start punching holes in the building and drop c-10 on whoever runs out. I think I have five pounds of straight c-10 and five pounds in shaped charges.  Still waiting to slap one of those shaped charges on a Demons chest and blow his armor into a cloud of death on the demons behind him

      Hawkes looks at his  COM  for the Time,well?  we have  4:50 ship's time..... sooner or later  folks are  going to be getting up for breakfast?

 Hemsly looks  around  eagerly.

 he  was between the target Building  and the party,   and   the LC  dove the   car    down so the thrusters  hit the foot tables, blowing  food, robes  and towels  all over.

 Sir  Griffon  stood  up brushing    Burian  beet dip off his  suit coat..

 as  shadow dancers  and teased  the  car  to the north of  the  party building, he said to the OPS  COM,.Alight ?.. that  group was a tad  weird  for my tastes.. I'll   mess  around he r for  another minute  or two, but we're gonna have to go  home..Mom and Dad are gonna be made i snuck out..

"You have any idea what the interior structure of that building is?  Where the key stress points have to be to drop it?  How much C10 you'll need to compromise internal supports from the exterior walls?  Ready to look the Admiral in the face and say the collateral damage to all the other buildings around this one was unavoidable?"

He turned to Harry.  "Which window is his bedroom?  I mean, I love a good surgical strike...but we're trying to carve out a cancer and we don't know if the tumor's in the brain, the neck, the chest, the gut...all we have is which body is cancerous.  We've got no reliable intel beyond which building it is...which makes every other plan potentially as dangerous as going in through the roof.  At least if we're inside with them, innocent bystanders are a helluva lot less likely to take stray rounds."

He gave the whole group a sweeping look.  "I'm truly, seriously open to suggestions for a better plan...but right now, we're trading one blind speculation for another...and while I'm no demolition tech, I'm pretty sure the only way we can drop that building from the outside is by using some ordnance that we don't have...like, maybe if someone got on the horn with Captain Nilsson and had him do a flyover with his bird.  But it takes a helluva lot of charges to shatter an entire building from the outside walls...and if this guy has all the countermeasures in place that we're concerned about, I'm pretty sure he's got his outer walls hardened, as well.  So, unless someone's got blueprints of the building and a way to get Hemsly in and out safely with a whole lotta charges...or a floorplan identifying which window is our target's bedroom...or a pile of bunker-buster RPG rounds...then I'm sticking with the original assault plan.  It gets more of us inside faster, from a location that isn't typically used for a forced assault.  Yeah, it could be fortified...I'd be shocked if it wasn't, to be perfectly honest.  But that roof doesn't have a landing pad, unless I missed it as we were flying around, so it isn't typically used for air traffic and therefore is likely not armed against aerial incursions.  If we hit it and it's too much for the forces we've got available, we've got both vans on the roof so we can bug out.  It's not my first preference for attack styles...but we don't have time to sit here with a sniper team waiting for him to poke his head out so we can shoot it off.  The longer we wait, the better the odds that he gets away.  We've gotta go dig him out, or at least see what kind of a mess we can make of his operation.  For all we know, at this point, he's already cleared out and we're going into a building that's got a handful of guards to keep it looking occupied...but we won't find out until we go in."

He gave the group another look.  "What I said before, about this being volunteer?  It still stands. If you think this is too risky and you don't want to chance it, wait here.  We need eyes on the interior of that building...and if mine are the only ones that go in there, so be it.  But the odds that they'll make it back out alive go way up if I don't go in solo."

   Shade  stepped up By Roy  he  blleped  a  few  Times pointing to the  Northeast corner. Sitting there  was  a  Very big power generator, humming away.

  Will Nodded,..you know  i'm in?... but... it If the Building is  hardened? It works  both ways?..right... so? if    it  started to burn inside? wouldn't it be like an Oven?.... and.. we have to believe the Metaglass is thicker then most places?..

 Hemsly shrugs,..I got me littl' darlin's   all made up...be a shame  not ta let them  have a party.... Now?.. we ain't bringin' the  whole buildin'  down   wit the  stuff  we got  'ere..but ye   find me  the   gas lines... or  the main  water lines.. we  can mess this place up pretty good..

 Simms   stayed  watching the  party shaking  his head,..I got  nothing better  to do?...nope...not...at..all.....

Upon being told that Roy they weren't going to be blowing the building up or even the guys room Harry would cross her arms and offer the Sergeant Major a playful sulk "Spoilsport" before listening to the rest of his argument for going in, with him asking for volunteers "There's always a third option and you probably won't like it but...we could always just go home" she suggested before hurriedly explaining her reasoning behind the idea "...what I mean to say is we don't need to go in tonight, we're going to be here for a few days right? So why don't we go home let him think that he's avoided the dreaded Delta Night and then hit him whilst he's on his way to work or something rather than on his home turf surrounded by armed guards...I mean bloody hell we've already had to rush three of our friends to the med bay why risk our skin on an assault we don't need to do?" Harry knew she was probably stepping out of line and would no doubt be on the receiving end of a load of flak for this suggestion but the way she saw it the risks seriously outweighed the gains here.

Roy glanced in the direction Shade was pointing, and nodded with a grin at the short Verian.  He listened to Harry, then Garrat.  "The longer we wait, the higher chances are that he slips through our fingers completely.  There's a good chance this particular OP could go very sideways...that's why I'm only taking volunteers.  If you feel like it's too risky, wait here or head back to the condo.  But we're running g out of time for a debate about it.  Teela, how many guards do you see on the roof?"

While he waited for the response, he shouldered the pulse rifle, and started back toward the van.  "So, do we need to leave a van here, or is everyone going?"

“One guard on the roof with a rifle. He’s distracted by the fires at our last location. And I’m absolutely going in if you are.” Teela replied.

 Shade  went off  after   Roy..   Trying to   keep up.

 Hawkes  shrugged.....if i undertsand it right?.. if we finish up today?  we have tomorrow off..or..today off?..anyway..sunrise day off...

 Zob, and HArry.. and the 'ever  watchful Simms  were left, though it was clear  Simms would  go where  they told him... if he ever stopped watching.

"He's only going slip through our fingers if he know's we're gunning for him! If we attack that place and fail then he'll run for certain" Harry quickly responded before the group of volunteers had chance to mount up and make their move "Damn it Spencer quit thinking like a marine! This isn't a strong point that needs to be taken we just need to kill him and the best way to do that is when he isn't in a fortified position with an army or mercs! Call Elge, get SEC to watch the property and as soon as he leaves we ice him...this is just playing right into his hands" Harry said, making one final attempt to dissuade them from assaulting the compound. we don't even know if he's inside!

Roy didn't even pause as he stepped to the van.  "He'd be inco.petent and stupid not to realize we're gunning for him.  I got three targets on my list...one I know is dead, the second's place is burned to the ground...he's the third.  They're all siblings.  You don't get as powerful as he is by being that kind of stupid."

He turned and looked at Harry.  "And if Elge could have bagged him, he'd be gone already.  That's why I was given the orders...and I don't intend to leave them two-thirds done."

He looked at the rest of the group.  "Guess that means Simms is driving.  Everyone pile into that van and let's get moving.  Teela?  When I give you the word, drop that guard.  I want you watching our backdoor until we can be sure they aren't going to try and come in behind us...then you're welcome to join the assault."

Without another word about it, he walked on to the van that had come from the condo, climbing in and making room for the rest.

  Simms  took one last look at the  party and sighed,  getting into the VAn,..so?  this  whole being Rich thing?... Does it come with the girls?  or  do you have to buy them?

 Hawkes  just   chuckles , and Shakes his head.

  Will says,..well?  If you have to  buy them, they aren't worth having...

Realising that the only way she was going to win the argument was by pulling rank, if she could even do that, Harry would simply throw up her arms in exasperation before heading for the other van, taking Roy's comment that Simms would be driving as a subtle hint that she wasn't wanted.

With Simms clearly not getting the same message as she had, Harry would sweetly smile at him before speaking in a voice that Will, if no one else, would know meant she was in a dangerous mood "hmm I think I'm going to pass, the ESN has lost enough of it's pilots tonight and like someone has already made abundantly clear I'd only get in the way" she said, her eyes briefly flicking from Simms to Will to show who exactly had made that particular observation "...enjoy your bunker busting boys, I'm going to bed" she said in the same sickly sweet voice as she climbed into the drivers seat of the other van and started the engine.

With everyone else heading out on the mission Harry would simply lift off without waiting to see if anyone else wanted to get in. Gracefully spinning the van around she would then head for the condo, travelling at a far more relaxed pace than she'd used on the way here.

Roy noted the attempted exchange between Shade and Simms, and hazarded a guess at a translation.  "Well...we already know the Creshians have a Queen...or multiples...we wiped one out when we destroyed the Hive Ship at Matterhorn.  And the Largrans and Avians have enough in common with Terran lizards and birds that I'm pretty sure we can assume there's two genders present.  So, yeah...they have 'chicks'...the Avians in more than just that sense of the word.  And Hawkes...what you look at in the privacy of your own bunk is your business...but if I ever find out you're looking at Demon porn, I'm gonna have Stefi order a psych evaluation on you..." He paused, glancing at Zob.  "You can look at all the Demon porn you want." He kept a straight face just long enough to raise doubts about whether he was joking or dead serious, before he flashed a feral grin at Zob.

"Okay, Simms, let's get moving.  When we hit the roof, I want a team covering the rooftop access...another team goes with Hemsly to blow the generator, or transformer, or whatever it is, in the corner.  Shade can show you exactly what I'm talking about.  After that, we disable rooftop access, then we make a big-ass hole in the roof and shoot anyone we see moving inside.  We'll figure out where to go when we reach that point."

  Simms    liefts off, he  curves  around the Buildign    and  comes in  , just  about level   with the rodd  tops , from the South west.

  The  Guard   had    changed  his view  to watch  the  gun shot s at Shadow's  car, and after he was gone.. decided  to watch.... a little more...

 ..ok?..SM?   we got...maybe..  8 seconds    since  up  drifting.. he  shouldn't hear us.. but he'll hear  us  set down...
 Shade  stood  up    grabbed his  SMG  ..and   Bleeped a few    sounds  as his eyes  truend   red.

 Hawke s looked at  Will, a bit uncertain as he  wateched  Shade.. Will  Just  shrugged   with a grin.

  Hemsley  looked  back to  Shade....Ye  Just lead  me to that  generator, an'  I'll make the bloody thing  dance...

Roy nodded grimly at Simms' words.  "Okay, Teela...drop him." However it turned it, the next several minutes would be chaotic and intense...but that shot would touch it all off.

Garrat is still looking for any action in the building.

 Wills  and HAwkes break out, heading to the covered  entrance..Hawkes  calls out,..its  an elevator...

Teela stayed on station and looked up to see if the people at the party had noticed anything or if the was sudden motion on the grounds of heat blooms from the mountains or buildings.

"Let me know when you want me to move, Roy. I'm waiting to see if anyone reacts from the party, grounds, or the mountains."

  The party folks  wouldn't have notcied much, between    cleaning up after the Yellow car's fly by,a and  gettign back to thier  'business'

  The creatures down on the ground  didn't seem to  see or hear anything, as they continued  to meander around.

 Hemlsy    stopped at teh Generator,..he  began to slice  off  bits of C-10  and    set  it  around the   supports  and the  thick Coils  around the Wires... Shade   was  using   his  finger to  burn open the    switch box.  about the  time   Hemsly had  set  his charges, he opened the  door,  Hemsly added a 'snake' to the insides of the generator .

    they run across the    roof to the  elevator   ,  Hemlsy     gets   someone to  give hi a leg up to teh top  and  he  worked    to  put the some   C-10  around the   Cables    of the    pulley wheel.

  the mountaineer  dropped Off   and Shade Pointed  to  the  other corner of the roof.. he   was  spouting all kinds of  Noises ad had  used  his  boot knife to  draw  a circle where he thought  the     roof charge  should go..

 Hemsly  asked him  why..as  the Scot pointed to the Middle of the roof.. shade  rattled   more  noises   walking a square  around  that corner.

 what do we  do?...  blow a hol;e  where the Wee one  marked.. o blow one here.. this has to be a HAll way here...

    "Listen to Shade, he has demonstrated a built in sensory system we don't understand.  He knows what he's doing."

Roy nodded.  "Got no reason to doubt him...and he spotted the generator.  Set it up, clock's running.  Garrat, watch for any sudden changes in activity through the windows...anything that looks like they're either bugging out or massing to charge." He'd dropped to a knee, holding the rifle pointed at the elevator in case anyone tried coming out of it before Hemsly was ready to blow charges.

  The  Generator  Blows  apart.. the  sides  fly off  like   banana peels  and     the Middle tunrs into a  fire  BAll that fall over the edge ...

..The Lift   went off  a heart beat later the  cable  singing like a deep seas  fishing reel, until there is no Cable left on the  pulley


almost... all at once the Circle Blows, almost the whole crner of the  roof  falls  in there is a scream  below.

  running over  to the Hole they see a crushed Ben  with  two pairs  of  fee under the  2 foot think metacrete  and   twisted  metal,

  Shade  looked  down and Looked at Hemsly.. and bleeped  something while  showing green eyes.

 ..ok>  so ye  knew where a room was......

 Will points to the   bent  joists,..Heck.. we  can  even walk down the   ramp it made.

  there  was  sounds  of  activity  below  as the generator  Just missed  crushing some guards,   the fire was starting on bushes  near the square  buildings.

 across the way  the party people looked at the light  display and  the  faint   sound of  explosions..

   "we do have increased activity.  Right now they are still in wtf mode but might start getting some brain cells together soon."  Garrat settles the scope on the guards.  He takes his time and focusses on easy shots and attempts to snipe a couple.

    A guard  Is Twisted  around  as  a  round comes  down and HAmmers  Him, causing      other  guards  ro look ariound,  at least a Dozen worts  are  runnign about   now  and   lights  are coming  on .. and  red   lights   flashed...

   down , close to the   Hole.  Shade looked down with  his SMG  ready. Will and  Hawke    watched  smoke starting to   seep though the Elevator  doors.

  ..looks  like a fire?

 Hemsly nods  with a  grin,..Friction from  the lift rails?... Oil.. and  whatever  happened  when it hit the bottom, that  shaft?.. be just like a bloody   chimney 

"Did we start another damned fire? I see movement on the roof from the party. They've definitely noticed something is going on. Want me to stay on station or move to your position for our infil? If that outer building holds guards and Worts they can come in from behind and flank the hell out of us," Teela said as she looked at the grounds and outer building.

  “There’s more than a dozen worts on the ground so I wouldn’t leave out the front door.”  Garrat fires at another guard that stood too long in one place.  “Remind me to pester Doc. Christy for tranq darts.  It would be easier to stick them anywhere and have them pass out.  Maybe he can work with them.”

   Worts  are  moving  erracticly... , running, jumping.. and slinking  around.

"You keep tabs on the grounds Garrat, I'm going to watch and see if the people at the party decide to do something stupid that I can dissuade them from." She had the rifle trained on the roof now, waiting to see if any of them decided to get involved.

"Stay on overwatch in until we're certain nobody's coming up after us...or down, as the case may be.  We need someone watching our backs more than we need another gun going in."

He gave the group a quick glance.  "Simms, pick someone to stay up here with you, covering the door, until the rest of us are in.  Everyone else, go down one or two at a time, so we don't compromise our ramp.  Shade, let's go." He heated the pulse rifle, half-sliding down the collapsed section of roof until he reached the floor, moving immediately aside to allow room for others to follow, while making a quick sweep of the room with his weapon up, in case anyone had been missed by the collapse, then settled in to cover the door.

  "I ain't movin."  Garrat says taking a moment to wait until people weren't looking his way for a muzzle flash before shooting again. "I don't know what they did with those worts but they are moving exactly as the should to avoid being shot.  That's a lot of training for that species of creature and says volumes about the kinda control their handlers have over them."

 Simms  Pointed at Will who frowned.... Hawkes  grinned at Will as he  got  ready  to go down as well.

  Will  says,..its  an elevator shaft?... whose  gonna  come up that thing  without an Elevator?

 Shade looks at the Bed  a man and woman were crushed d by the   roof.

 There  is shouting  in the HAlls .. there  is a high whining  beep  every  3  seconds  comign from the  hallway.

  Shade  Looks  at the   desk  and opens the drawer and pulls out  a 45 cal hard ammo  sidearm

 Hemlsy  ha sa C-10 Sphere in his hnad… he offers  some to Zob.

Zob took some from Hemsly and then focused his attention towards the door the heavy pulse gun ready to fire and chew up anyone who may come through that door.

"Based on comm chatter from other ops and what I saw earlier the Worts are chipped. They can move tactically because of it. They are very dangerous even in small numbers." Teela replied.

"Figures," Roy muttered, not quite under his breath.  As the rest of the team dropped in, he moved to the door.

"No knowing what we're gonna see on the other side of this...everyone be ready."  He reached out with his left hand, using fingers to indicate a countdown from 3.  When he got to zero, he opened the door and stepped back to clear the line of fire.

   the  door  Opened.. to the  right  was  the   East wall of the building, across the  hall was  an inner  wall, to teh west  was  the hallway..

 Looking west the could see the elevator  doors  were open, smoke  was streaming out.. dull amber  emergency  Lights  where on and   peopel    were standing  by the   shaft lookign  down.. teo people stood in an 4  way intersection.. there was a door on the  north wall that was open.. and a door   on the south wall that was closed... past the intersection, they  couldn't see , any more  doors.

 Shade's eyes  were blue    as he held  his   SMG   ready

"Contact left," Roy muttered into his comm, keeping his pulse rifle up and ready to fire if anyone turned his way.  "Zob, if you'd be so good as to clear the hall..."  He was at the point where he didn't much care who was in the building...their presence alone was enough for him.  Any concerns he might have had that they were in the wrong building were cleared up by the worst on the grounds.

Zob mentally nodded and braced the heavy pulse gun before letting out a huge barrage of automated fire into the hallway gunning down anything and everyone in his path that he could see that wasn't a friendly.

 As Zob opened  fire, the peopel  at the Elevator   shafted   screamed in surprsie  before  faslling in, a 'civie  was   chewed up, fallign towards the    North , at the Intersection, and  a Suti   lose most of his right leg  as he tried  to     dibe to the south, at the intersection..   Shade, Stopped at the open  door  two suits  were inside   getting  dressed... Shade opened up with  his  smg  and they fell.

  the door  on the South Wall  was still closed.

  people  to the north where shouting, curse came  about 'gettign power back on"  and  " WTF is going on!" came from that direction as well.

 Outside   people  were   either  runnign for  cover  or   runnign to the, now, dark fence Looking around for people  outside the fence..  A wort   Leaped onto the Fence  and Over..  screams  could be heard  from the sidewalk that lead into some trees, that headed north

Garrat is back to shooting quite regularly.   Well it’s hard it hit running people, panic it’s good for concealment. As a test he fires one bullet through a window. Does it work?

  He fires  at the  second  Floor  window..  there is a 'splash' ,of sorts when the   round hits... the window  doesn't lok l;ike it ws effected  as he looks through his  scope... Garrat would  see the same  correlation between that, and Metagalls used   in   corvette or   Sloop  main viewing windows.

 with  E-1  fully  showing now, there is much more   ambient light then there was an Hout  ago The people from the party have   left their roof.  From the North end of  the Building  a Black Hover  car  is  rising in GArrat's direction.

Party building or target building?

Roy noted the closed door.  "<blue>Hemsly, need you to breach a door.  Left and left again as you come out of the room.  Everyone but me, Zob, and Shade cover him and sweep the room.  Zob, let's move up to the intersection and clear the cross-hall.

He pulled a grenade with his left hand, holding the 'spoon' closed until he got close to the intersection...he leaned out far enough for his left hand to clear the corner and tossed the frag grenade down the hall to the right.

Zob pushed up with Spencer to the intersection and proceeded to rain more automated heavy pulse down the cross hallway with his weapon at whatever was standing. Zob was told to come to this op 'heavy' so he was dressed appropriately for the party armor and all but he knew repeated fire would compromise him so he still had to be careful, "Understood" a sick part of him enjoyed gunning down all these people watching them trying to flee in terror from the monster.

  Hemsly ran over to the closed   door.. slappign  a Bisket on the  door,  he backed  away  yelling,.. In Three!.... ONE..... TWO....Three....

 The C-10 Blew    the handle  and  a 3 foot half  circle  of the Door.. about    a foot  chunk of  wall  when with it.

 Shade   Fired  into the   room with Hawkes.. a  tall man  who was trying to get dress  was cut  Down.

 at the intersection, to the left ( south)  lead to the  south wall and a door     that was  on the 'right... as you turned that way As  spencer  tossed the grenade.. and Zob   stepped out to fire.. they could see   the HAll way ran  to the north ( right turn from where they came from), ending in a  doorway one might figure was  a stair well.

 to the  left of the hall  was a door..and  almost at the end of the HAll was a door  on the Right  side.. aFter the   grenade  went off and Zob fired.. it  was  quiet...

 HAwkes   called,  one guy  Dead  in the blown room...

 Hemsly  looked around the corner.. well we  got that one door there  in this dead in  hall.. two  down that way..and that Metal door at the end...

  there was   shout   and  gunfire most   muffled  but  some carried up  from the shaft.. the smoke  form the  shaft was   collecting around the  ceiling and getting thicker ..

 Shade was making Bleeps  and pointing to the two 'cleared' rooms.

 Outside, the hovercar  came up  from the  north side of the  target building  headed towards   Garret' postion..  he    saw a  tiny   round of  fire  zip by....


  Teela  could see  people  on the east, headed to the  north side as   a person was  waving   his hands  to them..  two Worts  pranced   past the men into the Building.

    Garrat switches to automatic an fires a few rounds into it's windsheild before he runs to his hoverbike "Enemy hover car is closing on my position, avading as we speak"  Garrat clicks his rifle into the gun mount and drops off the building to hug the ground.

"Got what looks like a stairwell over here...Hemsly, come wire it.  If anyone starts coming up after us, drop it on them." He took a position at the top of the stairs where he had a field of fire on anyone trying 5o come up.  At the very least, he had room to drop grenades on them...

"Get those doors opened and rooms cleared...if we have to, we'll limit action to this floor and call it an intel sweep...get data and creds off everyone we find.." He didn't plan to leave it at that, but with Garrat in evasive mode, they might be forced out earlier than he'd like.

“Roy be advised you have Worts entering the first floor. I see two entering from the east.” Teela turned attention to the hovercar that was targeting Garrat and put her sights on the driver. She took a breath in, Let half out, held and fired.

  Hemsly runs down the  hall his bag bouncing as he holds his geasegun ready.. he reaches the end of the hall , opens  the  door  and peers  down the  stair well. with a pull of thr trigger  he lets  a  rain of  rounds  followed  by shouts  and scream  as he is answered  by pulse  rounds and  hard Ammo.

 Then he   runs   back through the Door , slamming it...there's at elast 1  lizard cat commin' up!... get back  we canna  lock it...

  Hemsly   sets  two spheres  and a  Bisket on the  Door  as he   crouched  below the window, waving  the rest back.

 Shade   broke into the   door   on the  far  south dead end   hall..his weapon barked out as a woman's  voice  shouted   and  some  return  fire   Zipped  passed him.. then  the little Verian ran into ther room.

 HAwkes  was sweeping the  first room Shade  hit, and was just about to enter the room that Hemsly blew opened.

  The Air  Car   shook a Bit,  the   fellow in the passenger  side    fell out, but one of the people  in the  Back seat  stood   and let off  streams of   auto pulse... using them  like  tracers .. tearing up the    roof  and     nicking the  back of the   cycle.. as Garrat   went over the  edge.. he knew he was falling a lot faster then he should.

   Garrat  Immediately pulls up trying to see how much damage has been done to the repulsers or flight surfaces.

As soon as rounds started coming back at them, Roy grabbed another grenade, dropping down the stairwell as he backpedaled away from the door.  He dropped back to the intersection, taking a knee with his body mostly sheltered from the door and bringing the rifle up to bear on the door, ready to fire at anything that might try to force it before Hemsly was ready.

 Garrat's cycle , is indeed  crippled..  He   can see below tghe pavement of the  Building he was on...   the  Moutnain  is   a bit too far, as  is the  sea.

     Hemsley   lays  still as he slams the door to the Stairwell and Roy's  grenade  goes off.. then he starts  to  Sprint  to the intersection   As the  Door  Bangs open , Hemsly dives   about  5 yards short of the intersection  and  presses  two handfuls of triggers.. the  Door  Bllow   just under the Glass  and the  lock,  and the  frame Blows   as well, causing a 'claymore' effect. The wort and two  suits    are  shreaded    and  concussed...

 There  door  swings   shut, missing the left 2/3s   and a Halfmoon of the door frame... Hemlsy sits  up and looks back,we got a couple cats,,, if ye  wanna  move to these two doors ,  I mest rig something else?

  Shade is Bleeping   and  Pointing to the room at the dead end, that he  just came out of.

 Hawkes   came out of the  second  room to join them at the  intersection,..this  last  one... two disc  cases...one  with 4 reds.. the other had   2 greens and Two Blacks... also got this...

 he handed   Roy a  disc  MArked  " Lady V"

On the roof  Will was watching the air car to catch Garrat,..so?... everyone else is having  fun..and me and you are  watching a homemade chimney....

The hover car's current angle of attack left the undercarriage open for a shot from Teela which she wasted no time making, putting one round through the bottom of the van before cycling another round and firing again.

  The   first  round  hit  Under the engine  Block, shattering feeds to the  Thrusters.. the  second  round  hit towards the  rear,  kiling  the  passenger    on the  driver's side of the   rear.

  The Car's  Nose  droped almost as soon as the thrusters   stopped.. the 'shooter  in the BAck  Dove  Out.. hitting and rolling on the  very roof Garrat was on , just a moment before.

  The Driver tried to  Pull up and restart, not knowing the  damage..he never  would  as the  Car impacted   to the    west side of the Building,  Exploding  as the power cell  ruptured...  , once more,  flames  began to spread.

"So I have good news and bad news. The good is the hover van chasing Garrat is down. The bad is it started another fire." Teela grabbed the Barret and dove off the building she was on and made for another shooting location, having put up a nice big advert where her last one was.

His armor is in good condition but it won't save him from a fall.  He looks for a tree or something soft to try to break his fall...I hope there is one available.

  Garrat's  Cycle  veers to the east a Bit, where the tree line  near this side of the Mountain.

 The  Cycle  catches   Limbs  and  Branches before hitting one of the larger boles.    Garrat is thrown, but  only falls  a few feet  down  and a few yards to the East.. the  machine is twisted and    tangled  at the bottom of the  tree.

   As Garrat looks around.. Puls e round   rain down  from the Roof he was shooting from, from the shooter  who brought him  down.

   Garrat checks on his rifle.  Is it in good condition?

  Garat was in luck, that the  collision   poped the rifle from its   supports, its   dirty to be  sure..sights  might not be too happy, bit ti  will still work.

"Can you break up that stairwell?  Make it unusable to get up here?" Roy asked Hemsly.  It wasn't the only option he could think of...but it was the first choice.  Without lowering his rifle, Roy grabbed the disc that Hawkes held out to him and looked at it, giving a grim nod.  "Well, if there was any doubt as to whether we hit the right place or not, it's gone now."  He tucked the disc into a pocket.

"Go check that room Shade was in, see what he found.  Everyone else, finish sweeping this floor...looks like we found the bunkhouse, let's see who all was here.  Zob, help cover Hemsly.  Even if he drops those stairs, those worts might still be able to jump high enough to clear the distance and if they do, I want them to get a faceful of pulse rounds before they can get through that doorway."  He held position until Hemsly reported on options for the stairwell.

   Garrat checks the sights, Can he get them working?

  Garrat looks through the  sights, , he'll have to  fuss  with them..maybe  bean bag it when he gets back to the ship. Right now its a glorified  iron sight with a view.

  Pusle rounds    Zip through the trees.. the shooter  is   take random shots  around the smoking bike.

  Hemsly has his back to the  wall  west wall.. across from him is the door that is   the further of the two in this hall.

  His  fingers   move    fast     taking a   some metal  scrap from the floor  and  Jamming it in the C-10.. he  ejects the power cells from  two  rifles  and  Sticks  them near the    trigger  rod.  he  nods  to  Zob  as he moves to   broken door.  pulling it   gently open  as it  groans on its   hinges...

  Tossing    Both   'composite ' bomb the stair way he yells.....Get Ready....

 Just as he is  about  to Hit the Plunger grips  a Wort slams through the  Door   Snarling  as it is ready to pounce on the scott who is  sitting on the  floor.

 Hawkes   Nods to Shade  and they  both go into the room  to check out what is ion there..

 That  would leave the  door  on the east wall of the hall the only room they haven't breached.. when the Wort Crashed through...

Garrat braces as good as he can and aims up at the guy shooting at him.  He waits for his shot and takes it however he can.  With his rifle, a flesh wound can be fatal.

Roy was waiting...not waiting to see if Zob also opened fire, Roy sprayed automatic pulse fire at the wort's head and upper torso as soon as it cleared the door.

  Garrat    could get a decent  bead on the shooter.. but to do so would take   out of the thicker part of the trees... he could...barely he the  guy as he  Moved, the  light  from E-1  high lighting  the half of hi that faced  the 'sky' side of the Uppers.

 what did  concern Garrat more then the  hiss of  pulse  round  burning into the dirt and loam...was the Growl of a Wort, nearby...

 Teela   could see the Shooter.. and she  could   just about, see  Garrat, since she didn't have to look  far from the cycle.

  there  were  people  inside  the  fence, about  100 yards  away from GArrat's  postion.. some were  blowing whistles  and lokign around, but they stayed inside the Fence.

   Roy's   Pusle   Round s  , zipped  down    range as the Work   screamed  at the impacts....    Hemsly just said,..bloody  9 'ells!.. and   pushed  both Plungers... The  double  explosions   Rocked that end of the Building  cries  or worts and   troops  were   silenced      by the  thunder of    metacrete and   steels.. that end of the Building was now, at the top, opened to the sky.

 The  wort shook off the  surprise   as  Hemsly tried to scramble backwards.

 Outside  from her  view point , Teela   could see   debris fly  Northward, and  a chuck of the  rof   fall in, opposite  from the entry point  the team had made.

Garrat immediately pulls back and levels his rifle towards the sound of the cat.   If he has a shot he’ll take it.

“Have we done an op tonight that didn’t involve explosions and fires?” Teela asked as she put the rifle on the guy shooting at Garrat and fired.

   The   trper on the   Roof   ws hit, Tumblign over the   side of the  building ..either way. he was dead.

 Will ran over to the  'new hole in the roof'..Hey?.. I can see  down the stairwell..er.. there isn't a stair well... But.. on door  is  still free to open.. it  just  opened  ou to a 12 foot  drop, but the rubble   gives them a way up to  the   third  floor.... Blast took out some folks  at the another end  here... there is another CAr   taking off from the parkign palce.. its  headed to the  west.. must be tryig to get to  the Stem!

  Garrat  Fires.. the   round went off  into the distance.. the  growl of the wort seemed to be everywhere...or? was there more then one?

   Apparently he dosn't have a shot so he didn't take it.

  His rfle is to cumbersome toswing around, and his pulse pistols are to light and require a static stanse to us effectively.  Firing as he is movin will not causethese creatures to duck out of the way and a couple bullets will do no good at short range.

   Garrat sets down his rfle draws his sword in one hand and a milled pistol in the other.

  As Garrat looked about, the thicker  trees   to the east.. the bUilding the shooter  just fell off , to the  south and west.

 The target building to the north and west... Burbling   growls  echoed through the thicker  trees.. Repeated whistles   could be heard from the  fence  around the target building...

   there was a sound of something, moving   from  the  target area, he still did not see  any movement.

Roy kept shooting at the wort...he'd stop shooting when it stopped moving, or when it went back over the edge, but he wasn't about to leave it with a clean swipe at Hemsly.  He did his best to focus fire on its face...if it couldn't see, and couldn't smell, it would be a lot harder for it to zero in on a target.

    After the  bombs went off.  Roy and Zob's   crossfire  chewed the Wort  up  enough   that it fell  a fee  feet shoty of  Hemslys'  boots.. the  3 inch long  fangs in both  jaws  and a close up view in scores  on spiked shape teeth..

 Hemlsy looked at Roy, then to Zob...ye know?.. I'm startin' to be put off by cats!

 he Got  back  Up   and   motioned for Zob to stand  by the door that was hear the  blasted  remains of the stair  way...half of the door  still closed.   The scot  tested the  door and it  swung opened... no one was in the room...clear... we're  gonna search..

 The other  door near Roy on the  west wall still hasn't been  open...  Hawkes  called   out to  Roy.....hey  SM... you  might wanna  see this...

 Shade  was  at a  desk  he kept  trying differant   keys and such, but no matter what he did, the    Vid disc  played the same , over and over. Shade  threw up his hands  and he  whirled and beeped  pointing at the repeating  scene on the Vid...

  Finally , he turned to  Roy and let it play.

  Hawkes  was  scanning the man and the woman who died when shade  entered the room.

 A woman who might have looked familiar to some of them, but would have been familiar to pilots, smiled.. her  Red  Uniform and the   skull  badge of a head hunter on. the date was  almost 2 months  ago....

  ..hey!..there  ya are , bit of  a wake  up innin it? Well  we got this  wee  doxy here... worth her weight in creds she is?

 the screen split  as the  receiver was opened  by the other  end.. Lady V was there..looking a bit disheveled  and  holding a   sheet up to herself.

  the Vid  stopped..  Shade  ejected the  disc and put it in a container. he  held it up as he looked at Roy... and pointed to hismelf..or Roy..

Roy's face hardened as he watched.  He wasn't quite sure who was being discussed...but at the mention of talking to Harry, his lip twitched in the briefest of snarls.  Then Shade ejected the disc.

"You hang onto it.  Make sure Beth sees it...I don't recognize some of the names, but I'm sure she will."  The whole thing left him wishing that he could call in an airstrike on the whole facility.

"Have we checked everything, yet?  Got IDs on all the bodies, scanned their chips, searched all the rooms?" he asked.  Given the state of the elevator and the stairs, they weren't going any further down...and unless there were fire-suppression systems on the lower floors, they probably wouldn't have much time, if they could.

Spencer , My friend?   We have  some  good news... the divers   have  found  4  bodies  in the tunnels  that connect the  cabins.. one of them was the lady you were  trying to hook up with there.. seems they tried to escape, but a  sudden rush of  water  filled the tunnels.. the  3   with her, were her body guards...lots of big pieces taken off the board tonight .er.r..this morning...

Zob stood guard outside the room as he watched for any sign of hostile activity ready to fire on a moments notice. Zob then listened to the com chatter and chuckled a bit at the results of his handiwork he then shut himself up and stayed focused on the task at hand.

    Garrat is ready.  At range he'll shoot with the gun.  Up close he will drop the gun and swing the blade with both hands.

Roy gave a dissatisfied nod at 5he observation that they MIGHT have gotten their mark here...his mood mellowed slightly with Elge's announcement that they'd managed to get their last mark.   "Teela?  How bad is the building burning?" He shook his head, glancing over at Hawkes.  "Shoulda had you guys pick up more incendiaries..." he observed drily.

H3 thought for a moment.  "Hey, Hemsly?  How hard would it be to jury rig some incendiaries with what we've got on us?  I'm not real eager to try and finish a sweep...but I'd like to give anyone thinking about chasing us back up to the roof a little something e traditional to deal with.  And the more collateral damage we do, the harder it is for whoever steps in to fill the gap to try and pick up the pieces..."

  Hemsly came out of the room handing Zob some folding Creds, while putting  some in his pocket he also had a pillow  case     that he  handed to Roy when he reached  him.

 well?  we can't  go 'lectical, since  we done blew that all ta  the  9 'ells..we gather up some  Power Cells...me an'  Zob  could make a right nasty casserole an'  set it off  in the long hall 'ere.. should catch enough stuff on  fire..ain't no fire protection goin' off, since   we blew the generators..

 Meanwhile Hawke s was   arguing with   Shade..  shade  wanted to kick the door  open.. Hawkes wanted to kick the door open..

 ..look..sir... i'm bigger then you..let me do it..

 Shade Blared  some bleeps    using his hand to point to Hawke s weapon and  miming  that he could shoot over top.

 Shade pointed  at him and the rest of the team..then himself..

 Henmsly just groaned... walked over to the door, truned the handle and pushed it in... The door  opened..

 Shade  and Hawkes  looked at each other..

  Garrat sw the first one.. it  took two rounds  Before   Backing  away.. it let ut  a High Pitche  scream that ws  answers   fro  Garrat's let.. and another one deeper in the  trees... and  by 4 such  calls  inside the fence.


  Teela  could see the wounded Wurt.. and she thought she  saw  a larger one  coming in from Garrat's  right side ( towards the sea)

 from the  target Building.. Teela  could see 4  Worts   running  and  leaping for the fence.

“The fire is approaching the main building on the north side. The perimeter building is on fire and a bunch of suits are trying to put it out but, no power. I have fire control taking off from the mountain and more inbound worts.” Teela aimed at the large wort headed for Garrat and fired.

 Garrat  caught the Motion of the   Bigger  Wort, then he  saw a Hole  appear in  its lift shouer, and a Gush of  Blood and flesh splatter  out the  right Side... The wort looked surprised  as  It Fell The wounded wort started to cirle inside the trees towards the  Big dead one..perhaps, trying to hold  Garrat for its pack mates....behind Garrat, to the cosuth west. the  business  building was more or less  quiet.

 excepr for the fire  in the parkign lot  that just blew up another  air car, and..in time, would reach two others  parked there.

Garrett looks for a tree to climb, they may be able to climb trees to, at least they won’t be able to fly tackle him up there and they will have to come at him one at a time.

 behind him a way, another  aircar  erupts...

Roy nodded.  "Hey, Elge?  How much of this building do you want left for intel gathering?  Sounds like fire control is inbound, we're leaving momentarily.  Just trying to decide whether we need to leave a parting gift when we go..." He turned to Hemsly.

 Meanwhile, Hawkes  went in the room,  Shade stood outside  with  his  arms  crossed, and his eyes black.

No time and he has bead on aproaching critters.  If he had used his big gun to begin with the first Wort would be dead...and yet it isn't necessarily attacking.  Garrat sticks his sword in the ground and unshoulders his big rifle.  keeping a tree to his back He prepares to take on the approaching worts, rifle up, finger on the trigger.  They ARE pack creatures and comunicated effectively, chipped or not the intelligence is enough to make Garrat wonder how much they percieve.  On a crazy hunch, he says aloud, "They will die if they don't stand down."
    On his whisper mike, "Dr. henry, I'm dealing with a pack of chipped Worts, and they are acting like a pack and not a pride.  If there a way I can over ride the chips I might be able to get them to stand down."

 There is a Howel from the wounded  Wort... its  echoed by the   4 approaching worts, who begin to spread out...there are more   howls from the  compound.. angry shouts of handler s  as  two more Worts     leap for the fence...

  Teela    can see the   works from the  compound   leap onto the fence and over, whick tao are  comign up the business building  side, tow other   vanish in the trees.

 another Cars   Goes up... this one closer, ,and  fires  brighter... there were two  cars  left...

Zob takes the C-10 and does as instructed once he was done he gave Hemsly a thumbs up, "Ok all good here" he then awaits further orders keeping alert just in case.

  Right then..SM, we're  ready ta Go if  we  'ave them go off here,  we'll, most like , collaspe this  setion of the floor.. we drop it  down the shaft, we could blow a lot of stuff.. but no promises , depending on how well they built this place.

   Garrat can hear the shouts. His eyes narrow.  His rifle remains up but he doesn't fire yet "Teela, thanks for the suport, how fast can you take out the handlers?"

“Very but we have a bigger problem. People are escaping in aircars. Hopefully our mark hasn’t already gotten away.” She responded as she targeted the car lifting off, aiming for the driver.

   Garrat breaths deep, "Okay, I can't help here but I can see if I can keep the Worts ocupied."

  Will watched  from the roof..  his greasgun wasn't  much use from up there...  Simms tagged a few people with hsi crbine, but..well..he wsn't  a Sniper..

 Will ran over to the Southside of the building where the  hole  was in the  south est.. he  looked  and shook his head,..I don't think those handler s are helpign anything.. the pack  is goign and that's  all there is to it... You have to get out of dodge man?

Roy cut in on the comm chatter.  "We can't confirm it...but there's a very good chance we took down our target just after we entered the building.  The body's at the bottom of a flaming elevator shaft,  though.  We're getting ready to bug out...do what you can for Garrat.  Simms, once we're out, we need to pick Garrat up...." He grabbed what sheets he could find...enough of them tied together could improvise as a life line, in case they couldn't land.  "Anyone whose hands aren't full,  grab what bed linens you can as we move back to the van."  He gave the room one last once-over to make sure they hadn't missed anything.

  "Then kill the handlers immediately."

"Roger that, changing targets." Teela moved her sights off of the car, aimed and fired at one of the handlers.

  Will shook his head  as he watched,look man?.. those handlers  are way, the 9 hells over here!...  Those  things don't care about a handler!

 One of the   Wranglers  hit  the  grass, as  Teela  tagged  him

  Hemsly nods to Zob,..stick yer  pacakge  by that   east wall.. I'll stick my in the intersetion....

    shade   came away from a  closet with  6  nicely folded  sheets.

 Simms  had the   van heated up and waiting.

"The handlers appear to use remote control on them, Will. I've seen them holding devices which appear to be what they're using to command them." She shot another one of the handlers. "If we pick enough of them off the Worts may resort to their instinctive behaviour which means they'll lose a great deal of their efficacy. That's my working hypothesis at least."

  Will shook his ehad, from what i have seen?  they aren't  controling anyhting.. three of them aready bugged out..i think you have a  pack of  Hungry  Killers    out there, and   even you aren't fast enough to tag them all..

  Hawkes and   Shae  were comign up the  ,makeshift Ramp.. Simms called,..lets  Go , Call..i don't want to explain  to your  chick, whit you were blown up!

  Will frowned     as he ran for the  passenger  door. By that  Time    Hawkes  and   Shade  were in the  van,   shade    whipped   sheet  after  sheet into a  tight    rope, of sorts, and   Hawkes began to  tie them, using Zip ties  to  help keep the knots together.

 Hemsly waited  for  Roy and Zob, grinning away. away.

 teela  dropped another  guy,  he hand a control, but  it wasn't even blinking.

  Garrat could see  the now  crouched   , the two by the building  almost like they wanted him to see them..

After placing the package by the east wall, Zob hauled ass back to the van and got in he wasn't keen on being blown the hell up, "This is gonna be a nice firework show" he said taking a seat off to the side as he waited for the others.

"I'd happily prove you wrong Will but we're about to exfil. I'm taking off and will fly to the van so leave a door open for me," Teela said before grabbing the Barret and taking wing.

Roy was shortly behind Zob...but ended up in the van just in time to hear Simms' comm call.  "Whiskey Tango?...just...punch it for the treeline as soon as Teela gets here and we'll see if we can lay down enough fire to get Garrat out of there before he gets turned into a chew-toy."  The tone of disgust he started with faded as he spoke, into amusement tinged with a healthy dose of tension.

"Shade, make sure you tie one end off to something solid in the van.  I'd put Zob on rope duty with you, but I think we're gonna need his firepower.  Get in as close as you can, Simms, and be ready to go vertical the moment Garrat's secure on the end of the line.  Once he's up far enough to be out of jumping range, we'll hoist him the rest of the way.  Probably a good idea to tie a loop in his end, Shade, we can get him out of there faster."  It wasn't a fun way to be retrieved...but Roy had been plucked off mountainsides with similar rigs, back on Earth.

....'ere we go Zobbie... on three... One.... two... Three!  He  presses  his Button..  There is  a Massiave   'BOOM" As the  middle of the  Roof Flies  into the air.. Hemsly  his  grinning and looking at the fountain of   metecrete  and   steel.. He looks at Zob...

  Meanwhile   Shade   is   working    quickly  splitting the   of the sheet to   use d a s  a bunch of  ties  around  Middle leg of the port side  sets/shelves..

 ..do we know that's  going to hold him? what's gonna  keep the  shelf  down?

  Shade Jumps up on the  end closest to the driver and sits with his arms  crossed.

 Hawkes   just lowered his  head   and gave it a shake.  The Van was  coming  dwon in a vector   that as between the  building  and the trees.

  Will shouted, make a break for that parking lot!...Then he  looks    and says,did you know there were aircars in that parking lot?.. anyone?

 ..right..Garrat?.. we  got one pass!,,,

Roy chimed in.  "We've got a loop in your end of a makeshift rope.  Pull it over your head, tuck your arms through, and lean forward so it's coming up from between your shoulders.  It'll give you a good jerk when we lift, but it'll be fast and we'll be able to get you away from the worts in a hurry."  He looked at Hawkes.

"Wait until we're almost at the tree line before you toss that thing down.  Zob, get up here by the door...you and I are suppressing fire to buy Garrat a chance to get to the lifeline.  Hemsly, you, Teela, and Hawkes help make sure that rope isn't going anywhere."  He grimaced a little, and added, "Will, you can shoot out the passenger's window and help us buy Garrat some breathing room."  It wasn't going to be pretty...but he'd seen uglier aerial retrievals...

Zob on three blew his charges as well leaving one hell of a mess of the building they were once in. He then moved up to the door and readied the heavy pulse gun to provide covering fire for Garrat once they were within range, "I packed a T rope on me grab it off my pack if you need it" he said it would more effective then a makeshift cloth rope.

Roy grinned wolfishly.  "Well, if we're close enough to the ground for a T-rope to reach, we're in serious danger of having the worts jump in here with us.  This makeshift line doesn't have to hold him long, we just need to get him away from those things..."  He swapped the power pack in his pulse rifle for a fresh one, and made sure the fire select was on 'burst'...he didn't think single-shots would do much to stop a wort, but he needed more accuracy than full-auto would give him.

  The  Van   came down  fast, Simms talkign into his head Set,..ok?.. Garrat..  we have to fly away from the  Trees... so  head  towards the Building as you run towards the Parking lot...how ever  you grab that rope?... hang on  Until we get far  enough  from the trees so we  can get you in, without the   Cats   mauling the Van...

  They srated their  dive,  Will only had a   bit of are  to  shoot  because of the Bildign and the way Simms  was flying... but he did open upo at the  Wort closest  to the Building... it Jumped  back and looked up.. as it   Howled...

 One last Wort bounded past   the  people in the  compound  to   Jump up and over the fence...

   Zob and   Roy saw the 'newest one', the one   Will shot  at , and two more  that were in the open  as they down down, they 'might have' seen two more in the trees... The wounded   one  was still pacing , keep Garrat from going deeper into the trees.

 Hemsly pulled   his  restraining  cord out   and    hooked it on the edge of the  door    just behind  the  driver's seat.. then grabbed  a handful of   sheet , near where   Shade  tied it .

 Hawkes   did the same with his restraining  cord  and   grabbed some sheet  about   Hensly's

  Shade looked at his broken  cord and  sighed.

   The creatures  saw the  van getting  closer, and the   sheet-rope   fall out..  weapons opened  up on the  Cats,   the 'middle one' in the Open are      flew  back and was clawing at the rgound in  pain   as Zob chewed it up...  the one that was runnign down the    tree  Line  Must have been nicked   by roy as  it veered  deeper into the trees.... the  'new one ' was rapidly closing in.

 ..Sheet's out ,  Big Guy....its all on you now!

 Garrat curses and grabs the sheet, he would be back.  There was too much that needed to be explored in these creatures.  Garrat was no cat person but there was much to do.

  The Van Sagged  Under  the weight of the Big man, it   tiled  a Bit  slamming  Hawkes against   othe r side, but he  stikk    scrambled back to  grabbing the  Twisted  cloth.. it   grew a bit  as the folks  stretched  They had  Garrat  about   6  feet off the ground  as   Simms  tried to steer through the   Burning cars  of the parking lot .

 reaching  the  far    western  end , the van lowered  down to the grass outside the  parkign lot  dragging Garrat in the  grass  until he could settle the Van down...

  Will pointed to the north, as they saw the  target building buring in the middle like a cheap Holiday fountain ..  flames  and   sparks, now and then, anothe explosions  as a  firearm's  power  cell went off.

  Getting out his  Knife, Hawkes  Cut the  sheet loose as they waited  for  Garrat, Hemsly was lookign past the burning cars, as the last car that  wasn't burning,  yet, went off , but the trees...don't think them cats will come through the fire..

 Shade  sat still as he watched the building, with green eyes , bleeping a  few things as he watched.

 Sims looks back,..can we go home now?

   "They want freedom, not food."  Garrat said quietly.

    Hemsly looked  at Garrat,..I dunno what  your    beasties  are like... but they looked  ready to shred you From what I saw?  them handler  guys , couldn't get them ta  heel..or whatever them little boxes do...

 yeah.....  can't  trust a lizad  cat....can't even figure how humans got them to work for them...

    Garat smiles, "They probably were about to shred me, but they hadn't yet.  They're behavior changed when the large one was killed.  Like I radiod to Dr Henry, that's not pride mentallity. Just as your earth Heyeenas act more like cats.  It's more pack mentallity.  That makes them intriguing as a feline species.  It also makes them controlable if you apeal to their family structure."

  Hawkes    laughs a bit,All i know  is Larry  took care of about 3 of them...and he got torn up pretty  bad....  If SEC ever starts   haveing us  have  aniamls, I'm asking for a Hamster...

 Hemsly Shuts the door  after  everyone is in...used  up all me babies this time, i did....but they sure did a good  job!

 Shade  settled  back down his SMG leaning    against him as  , he leaned against the   doorframe, between   the  cargo area  and the drivers.

Teela landed by the van and ducked inside, finding a seat and holding the Barret between her legs, barrel pointed up. The safety was on and she pulled back on the slide to eject the round from the chamber before leaning back and resting her head against the side of the van.

   Garrat looks sadly back towards the woods. "I used up my baby too.  The hover bike was a lot of help and a lot of freedom while it lasted.  I wonder If I can requisition a new one after loosing this one in the line of duty."

Once they were out of harms way Zob took a seat again and sighed he was starting to get quite tired, "Yeah lets get the hell home Sims... i want a drink and some rest"

Roy shrugged at Garrat's musings.  "They may have feline qualities...but I wouldn't bank too heavily on them being behavioral matches for felines.  Alien world, something besides feline DNA...I mean, the Felrites are much closer, biologically, and they have some distinct behaviors that don't really match up to anything on Earth.  And not all Earth felines operate as prides... a lot of them are very solitary.  This could have been perfectly normal for worts, especially if they've had behavioral conditioning.  We just don't know enough about Nivarian animals...the only one we've had under extended observation is Larry, and according to the Nivarian handlers we worked with back on Aqra, Larry's definitely anomalous..." He shrugged.

"Don't know about the hoverbike.  I'm not even sure where or when Shadow got that one...I just know it wasn't through regular channels." He chuckled drily.

"Take us back to the condo, Simms.  Time to check in and see how everything turned out from last night...and reassure Harry that we didn't all get brutally slaughtered in the op."  There was a relieved humor in his tone as he sat back and relaxed, before reaching down to clap a hand on Shade's shoulder.

"Good work spotting that generator.  I'm sure that made things go a lot smoother, on our end."

  The Commander   watched  the   trees and  people go  by as she said, coldly, but not harshly,..These people we are about to deal with? Will get no second chance...they cross  the line, the wrong  way..one time,we send the  Apefolk in, or the Naragrans, or let the Nivarians train thier LArgs.

 ..My Pilots  seem to have a away for  trying to  turn folks useful..I suppose that is a grand  trait.. but in the end.. the   war effort comes  first.

With her eyes never leaving the traffic ahead of her, Harry would quietly drive for several moments before calmly responding "Something you perhaps need to consider ma'am, is that I solved the problem that put them on the hit list with only a few well placed shots, there was no collateral damage to the surrounding area and my entire team returned home completely uninjured...there are other tools than hammers" she said, pausing to gracefully overtake a pair of lumbering trucks before accelerating away "...They're a street gang ma'am a little posturing and threats of violence is to be expected and I'd be extremely worried if they just blindly accepted the first offer we gave them, however from what I saw last night SEC has zero presence within those tunnels and it would be far too costly for them to make the attempt so if we can get the Bolts on side not only will you shut down one avenue of illegal activity upon the station but gain valuable intel pertaining to the rest" she explained hoping that if she could point out the logic in what they were doing that she wouldn't be quite so quick to take offence and send in the heavies "...The Bolts only sided with the EDT out of self preservation, if we can offer them that same measure of support along with a willingness to overlook some of their activities then we could gain a very valuable asset indeed"

 walking from the  van, Under the trees  towards the group, the TAll man signaled the Vendor , and he and his helper  brought  two trays  of  softdrinks. Setting them up on little   folding tables  and then leaving.

  Up the beach.. about a mile, they could see   , what they thought was Stefi, Dana  and  Libby with the stem kids  as they  played in the surf  and  sand..there were also three Gangers , abut 20 yards away from them.

Teela climbed out of the van with her pulse rifle in a two handed grip, barrel down, finger along the trigger guard. Her wings were relaxed but her eyes hard as she looked around for snipers or watchers in hiding.

She would listen to the Commanders comments as she gently brought the van in to land a short distance away from the meeting place "like I said Ma'am, self-preservation...besides you know as well as I do that military life isn't for everyone" she said before shutting down the engines and getting out.

With her machine pistol within easy reach Harry would scan the area for any further gangers lurking within the area as she approached Peachy and the others "Afternoon Peachy, I trust you're well" Harry greeted the gang leader with a smirk before proceeding to make the introductions "...Peachy this is Commander Si of the ESN 351 Hermes , and I'm sure you remember my friends from last night...Ma'am this is Peachy, leader of the Bolts" she said pausing long enough allow Peachy to make any introductions of her own before speaking "Well, unless there is anything else I say we get started"

   Peachy looked a  bit put off  as the things  were outlined, Commander  Si  watched peachy as well as Bobo, but her eyes  would flick  to the east where Starlight  sat with  nervous looking ganger..then to the west  where  most of the  Hermes  folks were gathered.

 everytime   Commander Si's eyes   landed on  Peachy, she felt like  she was unprotected...out in the open...

  ..how are we supposed to earn creds?.. and    do we have to turn  those weapons over  from  that burning house?  even at this hour, flames  still licked up in the air  as    weapons or   ammo  went off.. Fire control were up in the  air Pumping   foam and water.with luck.. the  place  would be out  by tonight.

 Commander  said lightly,..you must be  mistaken?  There were no weapons  recovered?..had there been any, the ESN  would have been force to collect them...but... since there were no such weapons.. I suppose  you have  nothing to fear

 Will and  Scarlett brought thier  weapons  up and moved up on either side of  the Commander.

  Now.. you see why  we Angel  have so much trouble  getting humans to understand us?.... her hand  squeezed slowly there was   gagging and crackling.

  the  drifted  towards the north-west side .. the  , very badly damaged  Building   from  the last leg of Roy's  Op  still  spoking.. a  refuse   truck was there   picking up Wort Bodies  and   Broken masonry ..  But the Target  was the Building a few Blocks away... once more the   roof  was  lit up..  a VJ was there and  some  40 people milled around, some even had  swimsuits on.  as they Hovered,  Shadow  pointed  pool.. there are  8  people in the Pool, Arthur King is one, and at least on of those gys  has to be a Knight... the rest are  either whores, or   Lady Knights... either way?..Doesn't matter... we drop the  Block , watch it hit, then Go away...

  waiting until Zob settled  into the  back.....Ok..Get Ready..... he    drifted   down with no lights. so  they would be about 20 feet  about the  waist high   wall , on the  roof's  edge.. another man and  Woman joined the Pool... Only two suits  could  be  seen  by the food  tables, every one else  was....'underdressed"

 when they were  within  20 yards of the  roof,  Shadow hit  the lights, causing people to turn and  start  as the  Van moved over wall  and    stopped   at the  Pool, they were  facing towards the Mountain...

 Arthur  King  and  two Ladies loked up from the water... the two  suits   pulled out   sidearms from Under their  Coats...

Zob was ready and prepared in the back before they got to the target zone and when they were in place he chucked the 40 lbs Block of Potassium quickly off into the water below, 'Enjoy assholes' he then got down fully expecting to be shot at, "Go go go!"

  The  Crowd, such as it was, started    as the  Block of whitish grey , felt  from the Back  of the  Van... No one had a  Clue.. or  would..until well after..

 There   was a  great Whoosh of  a crack water, Tile  Blocks  flew  from the sides  of the Pool  and Bits  of Potassium   ran aroudn the surface of the water  blazing away.. People screamed   as they were Blown up or    caught on  fire,  or  'caught' by  bits  of    the metal  'running '  around the

 water  covered  everyone on the  rood, and some of the  bits of the metal were burning   and skittering areound the  roof like live animals.

 As  they   Banked  back  to the   south There were  several bodies  floating  as  well as some  who were  fighting of the   burning metal  embedded  in them..people out si8de the Pool  were    ducking as Bits   'popped' in and out of the pools, and  tried to    cover   small fire    with  towels  with..didn't help much , since the towels  were  damp

 Diving down towards  the  streets, Shadow   drove  until they  could  reach the   Stem. staying low    and  'building Hopping ' towards the  Lowers..

 well?.. dunno of   we got  5 or  6 of them...but we got some!

Zob sat in the back and laughed was no point going back up to the passenger seat just yet, "Teach them to fuck with us!" they made a statement here that we were not to be messed with.

Once Shadow's  group is  ready the slip out the doors  to teh freight elevator  to the garage where  Flores  has the Van. she has her  Aqra  Bw  and  a  hard ammo carbine.

 Take us  passed the Occui's   food shop  and turn into  the alley behind it, we got to get rid of the beach  target, before  it  starts  getting  Light, then we'll go after the power Broker.

Zob was sitting in the back of the van as Flores drove he was putting in a fresh drum mag into his assault rifle, "Locked and loaded" hopefully Zob didn't regret going in light on the armor but he figured this time speed and mobility was gonna be more important.

 Meari got her team together as they went down the elevator to load up into the Van waiting for them with Ens. O'Conner driving Izzy's girlfriend. Meari wondered how good of a driver she was, and hoped being a pilot would make her a damn good one if they needed it.

 Meari said," Ok lets load up, Lizzy take us to the Stem and the known location of this Arms Dealer, I say we pull up fairly close and then scout the area and see what we are dealing with before we bust down the doors, what do you guys think?"

 Lizzy had gotten the Van all ready and backed up so the team could just load in. Once everyone was in Lizzy would head towards the Stem and the location of the Arms Dealer.

 As Lizzy drove towards the  Stem. Jax  speaks up from the Back.....Lock 218  will be on the starboard side.... we shouldn't  just  drop  right in fron. maybe   stop on a side  street  and work out  way up?..they'll have  Kids  as  look outs.

 Sam sends a secure message to Roy," SM here is what I found on Wallace's boat rental, it is a big building about 50 yards long, with space to bring a cabin cruiser in to clean up and  make repairs. His home is next to it on the shore, a slender three story building, the top floor only has two windows, one facing the sea, and one facing down the beach. The 2nd floor has windows all around, and the bottom floor has a shop where he sells 'seagoing' clothes for the rich folks who want to look like sailors, gifts and novelties, with a small  restaurant. A parking lot that can hold about  10 cars, but being at the end of the  beach  some hover cars can just land in the grass on the 'land' side of the beach road. That is all the information I have so far SM."

 Once Sam sent her message to Roy she then sent a secure message to Shadow. " LC sir here is what I could find out about Rucka's place, it is two story building, the living quarters above and the food place below. Only the main doors for the business and the rear door are noted for entries. If I get any more information I will send it your way ."

Zob moved like a walking tower of death and destruction as he reached the top of the stairs he took aim through the Largarn Optic Scope on his hard ammo assault rifle and fired controlled bursts down the hallway at the two paradise angels coming down the hallway aiming just slightly below the jawline to compensate slightly for the recoil on the headshots.

 Lizzy smiled and replied," You got it Meari, I will be here when you need me." Lizzy then had her Thompson close just in case it got messy.

   The  paradise Angels were surprised  by the looming  figure  at the stairs.. They both  died Quickly. Totally dumbfounded on what was happening.

 Shadow Came to the top of the  Steps, , he waved  Zob  down to the  last door on the right, that was just closing.

 Shadow  kicked in the  first door on the left,,his weapon coughed and he entered.

Though it couldn't be seen but Zob felt really good at being able to kill Paradise angels in cold blood, he moved quickly down the hallway and as he approached the door he prepped a flashbang before kicking the door in and tossing the flashbang inside the room, once it went off he would enter the room and gun down anyone inside with fully automatic gunfire.

   , There was the  sound of another door being kicked in and more coughing from Shadow's  SMG.

 The Flash Bang went off. Two  Humans and another Angel   sent down, and the sound of  window  smash that  face the   alley

  Shade's  weapon coughed a few times from below.

Zob did a quick sweep of the room making sure all were dead before moving onto the next room and kicking in the door and kill anyone inside he would repeat this until

(A, he was out of rooms to clear)

(B, the situation changed that he would have to stop and focus on something else)

  Zob looked in the  rom, it was an office, there were drinks shattered  around  were  Zob  opened up.

    The  Door  across the  Hallway a woman came out with a Pulse rifle looking  wildy around.

 Shadow was  Breaking into another room, his weapon went off  again,...

Zob heard the door open across the hallway he quickly turned to see a woman holding a pulse rifle he didint hesitate he took aim and fired 2 controlled bursts directly center mass on the woman.

Once the threat was netrulized he would check the office over for anything of value in terms of Intel before moving off to help Shadow clear the last of the rooms.

Roy pondered for a moment, digesting the information...Wallace's place was right next to his shop, on the shore...possible six employees on site at any given time...weighing possible means to either get Wallace out on the docks alone or get his people far enough away from him to render their numbers generally meaningless.

A grin formed as an idea spawned in his mind.  "Okay, Beth, here's the plan.  I need two different people to call Wallace...route the call through the Living Dreams Hotel, if you can, or just spoof their number for the signal ID on the call.  Pick two high-roller types from the Living Dreams guest list...the calls will be either from them, or from their personal assistants, wanting to book a late-night-slash-pre-dawn charter.  Vonet recommended his services to them.  They want to leave as soon as possible...these should be separate charters, so he has to prep more than one boat.  If they want a deposit, take it out of the Hermes' SEC discretionary funds...we can afford it...but it should be made plain that money is no object."

He chuckled grimly, but quietly, and added, "If he's got any personnel on duty, that should get them busy prepping the boats for patrons.  If he doesn't, that should get him out on the docks.  Either way, that gets him into a more isolated position.  I don't care who makes the calls, as long as they can play it cool when credit amounts started getting discussed, but make sure it's two different people so there's no chance they think it's the same person trying to book multiple ships."  He grinned a little and added, "And if we're really lucky, Vonet's been in cahoots with him and he'll think he's got some easy marks on his hands."

Jug and the 4 Gava with her moved along side Meari and the others. It was a slight movement, very slight.  Jug held a hand on her dagger blade a moment the relaxed even as she quietly and quickly slowed Meari down.  the other Gava immediately began looking more intently incase of a trap. using hand gestures, Jug pointed to the small movement.  It was lower on the ground.  As tall as Meari is, sometimes the taller people do not see from a shorter perspective.  Gava being rather short in stature would notice....A 'stem kid'.

  Zob went in the offcie  , looking at the  desk and and the file cabinets, Shadow  walked up and  went into the room, Kicking  aside the cooling body of the  woman Zob Had Dropped,He  said into His COMs...

  They could see the  lights  around the  Typical 'ganger compound'  broken cars, bricks from near by buildings  and sheet metal, all shown evidence  of  fire  fights..some looked newer.

 Lizzy watched, she could see  far off  groups, towards the  center of the Stem, walking with   weapons..either patrols..or perhaps 'sports hunters' who hunted  Stem Rats, or  looking to pick up nounty on Gangers.

  Beth  chuckled a Bit...I have  Just the Right person to  COM them.... keep your  eyes open...

 While they hovered  Lyri pointed to a  boat cruising slowly towards   a Dock, a couple hundred yards   down the  beach. It was a smaller  business, had  two boats in the  docks... It had  some  Chain-link  fences  around the   Docks to keep people from approaching the  Buisness  with out   using the walk way

Then they heard the Voice that   Beth Relayed through the COMs for them to hear.,

  There was an explosion  of  activity as  people   ran to a  cabin cruiser , while the rest began to    get the sloop  ready, lights came on both vessesl  as   the  crews  worked to load up the   'beer wells"  and   restock the   galley.

 Wallace  walked  across the dec of the  sloop pointing to the masts as well as the   powercells for the engines.

Zob gathered up the discs and tossed them into the backpack along with the money he then noticed the safe on the wall, "Found some data discs with a list of names, 3 volumes of them, do a double check on the desk in case i might of missed something"

he then went over to the safe and tried to get a grip on it but failed the first time leading him to grumble and raise his weapon he then shot a few rounds along the edge of the safe so he could get a better grip on it before with a grunt ripping it from the wall and placing it on the desk where he promptly began removing the door to see what was inside.

 Lizzy watched the groups of hunters or patrol, Lizzy then sends the team a message," Team we have several groups of patrols or hunters in the Stem they are far off for now."

  Shade  Contacts  Shadow again, Shade   sighs and says,they all are  purple  , or Green  or dark Blue, or magenta..or  mixed?.. I need something better then that!


 he  checks the Bodies saying to  Zob,..none of the Occui here  are the Mark. He  must have   been the one out the window..

 Meari made her way trough the rubble trying to blend in as best as she could, She still watched out for Stem Kids and begin too scope out their target. Meari acknowledged Lizzy's report and kept an eye out for them as well.

Zob looks at the discs a second before tossing the money and the discs into the backpack keeping the money separate along with the blade which may fetch a fair bit at a fence, "Place is a info gold mine... grab what you can and lets go and ID the mark" when Shadow was ready he would set out with him to look around for the marks body.

 Shadow Moves  to  lap by a chair that one of the   Angels  died  in,,, he unscrews the light bulb,  and  taps it against the desk to break the top off...once  that is   done, he  places the  screw end , in the  Occui's  mouth, leaving the Broken bulb sticking out

  Opening his  COM...Mark is  done..along with alot of helpers...and perhaps some family? That's the way it goes.... Flores..come back up the   alley, we'll wait...

Zob took a roll from Shade and a can of soda as they waited for Flores to bring the van around back, "I expect a lot more resistance on this next one which is fine i got plenty of ammo to spare" he chuckled a bit before taking a bite of the roll and downing it with the can of soda.

Roy grinned.  "Showtime..." he muttered.  "Flip us around and hold us steady, Lyri."

He moved to the back of the van, opening the doors, and settled into a prone position with the Largran rifle, taking his time to get a clear take on Wallace moving around the sloop, following the man as he strode around giving orders to his work crew.  Roy's finger rode the trigger, a hair's breadth from its release point...until Wallace stopped to look at something.  Roy's finger flexed minutely, and the rifle fired, a supersonic round would arrive before anyone on the sloop heard the shot.  He watched through the scope, ready to confirm the kill...

   Getting in the  Van, Shade offered a fresh roll and Soda  to Flores.well..aren't you sweet!... wow? they're still warm...

 he said  the bell rang and he took them out of the overn..no use wasting good  rolls...Damn shame i killed the cooks, but we don't know how deep they were into this mess.

"Next stop, The Living Dreams Hotel.  Beth, if you've got another voice handy, call the Living Dreams...if you can get Vonet, great, but I'm guessing she'll be contacted about the call.  We're looking to rent out the top two floors of the hotel for a week, but we have some concerns about the location and security that we want to clarify before we commit.  If we're not satisfied, there's another less opulent hotel that will serve our needs.  We'll be arriving on the rooftop in ten minutes, to inspect the facilities and verify that they're adequate."  He pulled the doors closed as he spoke, and the air-van moved off.

"I'm hoping, between avarice and pride, we get Vonet on the roof to meet us...the promise of a big payday plus a poke at the prospect that her hotel might be inadequate.  Oh, and if you can think of anything to add that might imply we're with Lady V or the EDT, feel free to embellish."

His mind was still working as he spoke, and he added, "Just in case that doesn't work, see if you can find where she's at in the hotel.  I'm guessing, at this time of night, she's probably called it a night and gone to bed and you're likely to get a night manager...someone she trusts, but hopefully not someone with enough ambition to field a guest inspection on their own.  But if she does have a hyper-competent Number Two taking the night watch, I want to know where to go find her after we land."

Zob got in the van and took a seat he was still very good on ammo and equipment so there wasn't much of a need to worry about resupplying, "Nobody is gonna miss paradise filth that is for certain" he then leaned back on the seat, "Full fledged HQ eh? she always takes us to the nicest places" he chuckled as he glanced out the window.

  Flores    found the Building... 3 stories , as most places in stations that were built  at the back of the Hull, they had   wrought  iron fence a good 8 foot high.

  Flores  drove  past a few time, always at a differant  height,looks like a private  residence ...at least three  people on the roof.... metal boxes   near the  gate  says the  fences is charged...trees  near the fence on the  inside...and the lawn is a killing ground...

 Shadow   looks out the   window and nods.Three cars in the drive way..big  garage  on the east side...lights are on, on the 1st floor..and one lone light  on the third floor near the back?...can we drop  down from the top of the Hull?

 Flores  shrugs.....I can drop down..lights off and all,, if they look  up , they'l lsee the  thrusters?

Roy gave a vaguely dissatisfied grunt.  "How we react depends on who's on the roof.  If it's just her, we shoot her and leave.  If it's someone else but we can't tell if there are more people on the roof, we've gotta be a little more subtle...find out if she's there and hiding, if she's on her way up, or if she's leaving it to subordinates."  He shrugged, and added, "I'll go talk to them...you three cover me from the van.  If I yell for it, Larry comes out full-time, so don't set up in his way, but try to stay out of sight until it comes time to drop the hammer."

He clapped Lyri on the shoulder.  "If she's there and hiding, you take the shot when she comes into the open, everyone else cue off that.  If she's not there...we'll improvise, based on what intel we can get from those who are there.  I'm hoping Scarlett's call got her attention and she feels it's prudent to deal with the request personally."

He set the sniper rifle down carefully, checking his machine pistol and the Verian hold-out weapon to be sure they were ready.  "There's a chance they'll recognize me...if you see weapons start coming up or hear anyone shouting my name, drop them, unless I wave you off...there's a slim chance that her subordinates don't share her politics and are willing to help...I'd hate to shoot a potential future ally."

He gave a grim-faced nod, patting Larry on the shoulder, and said, "Okay, Lyri...call us inbound for the hotel.  Let's see just how much we have to adjust for incomplete intel."

 Lizzy hears the comm message, and replied," Understood where should I meet them, I will get them safe and then come back ok." Lizzy would wait to see if she was going to the kids or where they coming too her.

  Come  down the Block we have enough  rubble and buildings to cover a  Pick up.

 Frakas   gave them a  smile, and Truned his weapons towards the   Compnd that was a  blokc and half  away/

 Lizzy smiled and replied," On my way ." Lizzy then brought the Van carefully down the block and used the rubble as cover as she went to pick up the Kids. Lizzy would stop and open the van doors to have the kids get in.

As the Van Pulled up. the Three   kids  came slolwy out, the  one  with the Gun said..I'm Shooter.. The little one  with the poppers is Peep...That guy is Tinder...

From behind the  van came   a boy  around the same  age  as Shooter,he had a nasty looking Sanri  dagger.That's Stick,,and this here is  Candle... a gilr  aroudn the same  age as  Shooter  step closed  to him, she had a  45 cal, ESN issue   weapon.

 you go down the  Hull?.. you'll see that  wrinkled   metal?... One has a picture on it  about  marines.... you can get in through there..only big enough  for one person at a time.. Now..You get us out of here?

Roy put his hand on the side door.  One visible sidearm wasn't likely to be considered much of a threat.  "One for each of you...Lyri, assign them as you see fit.  I'll go find out who's hiding in the doorway."

It ran counter to his sniper training...but sometimes, the most effective way to get eyes on target was to paint a gigantic bullseye on your own back.  He slid open the side door and climbed out, leaving the door open as he sauntered forward.  "So far, so good," he quipped to the gunman by the doorway, as he approached.  "I am not yet totally disappointed with what I see.  Who's in charge around here?"

Not more then a second or two after the Van crashed on the rooftop Zob was on his feet. Zob slid out back behind Shadow and opened up full auto with his assault rifle he still had a good bit of ammo left in the first clip from the opt before so he wasn't being stingy about it as he put his heavy weapons training to use and fired full auto into the hostile group.

Jug and the other Gava smiled but bared no teeth.  She spoke quietly as well.  "I am called Jug.  My friends here are Gava as am I.  We do not eat kids.  ESN saved us from being sold as food to others.  You not go hungry, get new clean clothes.  We come looking for mean people" she hoped one might atleast point a direction

Zob took one of his frags and tossed it down the staircase from his position that lead to the roof in case others were further down before flipping back to his assault rifle and unloading full auto as needed to help with cleanup.

Roy gave a bored grin.  "Well...you could try.  Even if you succeeded, you wouldn't have the van for very long.  My employer doesn't take it well when her people are ambushed by their own troops."

He feigned a yawn, and added, "We're only here to Eclipse a few of the luminaries at tomorrow's conference."  He hoped the reference to Eclipse was still worth something...it had been years since he'd seen any evidence they were still in operation...but he hadn't exactly been searching for them, either.

"Had I known I'd be standing around on a rooftop all night, I'd have just gone to our other option...I'd be unpacking my bags by now, if I had.  But She wants to keep the credits in the family, so to speak."  He managed to sound equally annoyed about the wait as the supposed restrictions on where they could spend their money.

Meari watched as Lizzy appeared and the kids gave them info and then got into the Van. Meari said," Yes Lizzy will get you too safety we will go get the bad guys, thank you. Ok Lizzy get the kids to safety and then head back this way for our return trip. "

 Meari smiled as the kids where saved and then after Lizzy left said," Ok lets get these bastards no mercy ok."

 Lizzy smiled at the kids and said," Come on yes I will get you out of here, are any of you hurt?" Lizzy wouldn't wait for a reply before she shut the doors and then headed to safety. Anyone else have a better idea?" Meari thought it was the best option, but she would also put it out to the others as well, by merit and all of those she was with have earned their spot on merit.

"I'll take my sidearm back to the van...but the driver stays there.  My boss doesn't like stupid people, either, and I'm not pulling my driver so you can ask questions.  Etna has a bad habit of our people going missing when the Delta Fleet's in port, and I'm not about to make it easier for them, if they're onto you."  While he started off pleasantly enough, by the time Roy finished the statement, his tone was almost accusatory.

"If that's not safe enough for your boss, we'll take our credits somewhere else.  Just because She wants her credits to stay in the organization doesn't mean I can't spend my own credits to get the job done.  The reward would more than cover it."  His tone had shifted to something calculating, as if weighing just how worth it even staying at The Living Dreams would be.

His focus snapped back to the Sergeant.  "If that's not good enough for your boss...if three of you with rifles can't deal with a pistol and a driver...then I've seen enough to know this won't be secure enough for our needs."  While he hadn't moved, his tone made it clear that, mentally, he was already dismissing the hotel and moving on to plan B.

"Your call..."

 Meari decided to take charge," Ok Jax, cover us, then we go down the dark side near the hull, then we make a diversion to get them too show themselves then we strike." Meari then got her bow ready to be silent and then began to go down the dark side near the hull. Meari would add," Ok then lets get a move on then, shoot to kill no witnesses."

  The SGT  seemed to think  of it a moment, when a murmur came from inside the Dormer door.

  ..I guess  you'll have to  move on then, and Tell your  Boss, better luck next time....

Zob followed behind Shadow with his assault rifle raised watching the corners as they descended the staircase everyone knew they were here but he was pretty confident about his odds.

 There were  two  Bodies , shredded  by the grenade, about  Halfway down. Shade  was behind  Zob, watching thier back.

 Shadow froze near the  Bottom of the stairs. she shook his head and   chuckled  as he  looked at a wire across the   stairs..waving   his  comrades up the  Stairs, Shadow grabbed   a Body   and pushed it  forward, the flash of light  set of a   charge that blew up aprts of the wall, sending  'frag bits'  across the   stairs.....

 Shadow  sat  down, he  worked on the  Two  COMs  he had taken from the  dead  guys,Hey!...you Idiots   out there? If I was you.. I would   get the 9 hells down the   elevator  and  run for the gate, 'cause you are so far out of your league, its isn't even  funny...

Shade Bleeped...Alright..maybe a little funny....Just know this, when we  leave this building, there won't be one damn live body left behind.... when he  was finished  fussing  with the COMs.. Shadow  picked his way through the debris..he grabbed what was left of the man's Body  and    through it through the  entry way.. Pulse rounds Hit it  from both Directions

 He Looked  at Zob,I'm Gonna throw  one in  each direction , when they  go  off, you fire down the left, me and Shade, will fire  at  the left.. no one stays  alive but
 us...

 He  Nodded  to them  both, and  Tossed to the right, then the  left..he was  greeted   by  weapons  fire  before  ducking back in.. the   powercells  exploded..

 Then  he and Shade  stepped out , and fired ...

  Zob saw tow men against the wall while 4 other black uniformed men stepped  out  to fire  at him..

 Jax  nodded, he looked a little bummed  as he  set up on the   rubble to scan the  area.

 Hemsly followed  Frakas  and meari..the  sheet metal could open like  door..

 looking in, there were  4 people walking  around, On Wort was  curled up and sleeping.

Zob removed the empty drum mag and put in a fresh 30 round magazine from his pouch as he made his way down the stairs... as he reached the bottom of the stairs and once the explosions from Shadow went off he flipped out from behind cover and fired the vampic RPG that was on his belt directly at the 4 mens feet down the hall if any survived he would swap to his assault rifle and burst fire.

Roy shrugged.  "Your loss."  Without a moment's hesitation he turned and started toward the van.  In a low murmur, he said into his comm, "All three of you fire...Lyri, call the shot.  Send Larry out immediately after the shots."

He might not be able to talk his way past the roof guards, but there were other ways to get what he needed.  Their obstinate refusal meant they were sworn loyal to Vonet,if not to Lady V, and that being the case, they were disposable.

He kept walking, waiting to hear the shots, and ready to hit the Deck and roll when he did.  Larry could beat him to the door...probably faster than anyone inside could lock it, if it was strong enough to withstand a charging larg in the first place.  He'd figure out what to do after that...

 Meari looked over the situation and said," Ok lets take these four and the Wort quietly, ok lets move." Meari got in carefully took up a position with her bow knocked a pulse arrow and aimed for the Wort, she figured to take it out first. When everyone was ready she said," Ok I will take out the wort and then go for the closet guy with my bow, see if you two can take the others quietly, if not we go in guns a blazing ok."

  the fire  fight was load  and brutal. When it was over.. smoke hovered   , think, about  head  high as it moved to go up the stairs and escape the Hall.

 Shadow swore  as he  looked at his left arm, the  enviro suit  torn and  a burn wound from a pulse weapon. He Moved  down to check his side of trhe hall. Shade stayed to watch the stairs.

 Shadow used one of the Guard's  guns to finish two who were  wounded,he collected two more COMs

 He dropped  creds  and ID  cards into his 'goodie bag" . The LC  began to kick open  doors on the way down, he did  fire once.  but no toehr  rooms  had  people in it.

 Zob  saw, all his people  were  dead, , there was a stairway going  to his left, and an elevator  to his  right as he stood in the intersection

 one of the  Guards  had a COM that was beeping to be answered

 Lyri,  click the  door  to open, then quietly said......NOW...

she stepped out   and fired into the SGT, two in his chest, one in his head..  Shoey's  SNG coughed  and the  fellow on the left danced like a puppet.. Maria's SMG  did the  same , the fellow  droppign  against the  Condo wall.

   Larry   scrabbled   around the Van , leaping over   roy and smashed into the  door that was trying to be closed.. there  was a scream or  surprise  and terror as   Larry  neutralized  the   firgure  who was in the  shadows.

 The lights  came  on, in both condos.

Meari   pulls  back on her Bow.. Hemsly and frakas ready thier weapons...Jax   watches the  streets, as Lizzy is re-entering the Stem

Zob moved up carefully and checked the area for anything of value taking any spare ammo from the bodies when he reached the beeping com unit he grabbed it and turned to shadow, "Hey got this com unit somebody is trying to call" when he was in range he would toss the unit over to him to do whatever he wanted with it before weighing his options, the elevator could be used to cut them off or move more troops but the staircase could have more trip wire traps as well but it seemed a better option then being stuck in the box.

  Grabbing one of the guys Zob killed, he drags the  fellow into  the  elevator, he crouches  and  fusses   witht he fellow's  COM  sets  it  blinking  from one of the other  deadmen's COMs...

  Picking up  one of the  weapons, he fired into the  elevator about head   high, and sent the elevator  down.

 Steps again.... no one in here is a good guy..you see some one, shoot them...

 The LC  took the lead, concentrating on  boobby traps  while  Zob and Shade  watched   for  people  showing up. about half way down the stairs they heard a muffled explosion ,well?  it was nice to see they checked on thier  buddy,

Zob chuckled a bit as he moved up with his assault rifle raised to cover Shadow as they made 3/4 of the way down the stairs Zob noticed a single gunman come up the staircase he sighted in on the guys head quickly and in a fraction of a second squeezes the trigger sending the round barreling towards him.

 Shadow looked  down  the stairway to  see most  of the fellow's  chest  Vanish in a splattered of  gore.

 Shouts  from the  Hall  came as   used his  SNG  as  he dove on the  ground ( into the  much of the dead Guy and fired  from the floor, leaving  above him  for  Zob... Shade   scambled   down to  try and  shoot  around the  corner...

  Zob saw a total of   7   troops there, two were down by the elevater, that had  smoke  comign from it, there was  also  another Body down there..

The Ambush folks...were ambushed.

As the shots fired, Roy ducked and spun on one foot, drawing his machine pistol to follow up, if needed...but all the gunmen were down.  He ran after Larry, ignoring the lights coming on in the condos, aside from commenting, "Lyri, watch the condos...no knowing who's in them.  If anyone comes out armed...you know what to do."  He stepped past what was left of the door, looking to see if Larry had left enough of the person intact to identify, or, better yet, to answer a few questions...

Zob quickly got down the stairs and fired around the corner being generous with his shots from the assault rifle giving each one he could see a 3 round to 5 round burst to center mass.

  The HAil of  fire,  caught the  ambushers  off  guard, bodies fell screams   were heard, they were  caught  between the Hermes gun fire  and  the  damaged Lift...

    The Bodies  lay..some twitched  and Moaned, Shadow got  up, two doors on each side of the   hall way, Shade, finish the  bad  guys, Zob, you check left, I'll check right...

 he kicked the door  open  on the right,, and fired at a man and a woman  in the  back of the room that had  sidearms...

Zob ejected the empty magazine from the assault rifle and slapped in a fresh one and made his way down the left side of the hallway to the two doors on his side and made sure his weapon was ready as he kicked it in firing at anyone in the rooms.

     Roy reached the Dormer Door, he   found  the Mauled  body of  a Half Angel... the  fellow  had a  Pulse  pistol, his COM  was open, but  no connection had  been  made..

Our of the  east  side  Condo came  three people  in  sleep wear, looking terrificed and Confused, out of thr west side  came three  Men with weapons... . Lyri and Hoey   oepned up on them, the woman in sleepwear screamed.

 first door  Zob  Kicked in, had no one.... The second door and an Older Man who was  sitting up in bead with a shotgun pointed at the   door, The terror on his  face, as a demon  crashed in was unforgetable.

out in the   call Shadow's  weapon coughed  again...Clear....

Zob took advantage of the moment of hesitation and put a 3 round burst into the old man in bed there was to be no survivors, "Clear..." he then went over and grabbed the mans shotgun from his dead hands as well as whatever shotgun rounds he had on him before searching the room for anything of value.

 Meari aims her bow and then fires her pulse arrow at the Wort, it fucking missed. As the first pulse arrow exploded Meari fired another pulse arrow at the startled Wort. Meari said "VICOK"( Udenese for Fuck.) under her breath, as she hoped this one would take it out, as she noticed the commotion going on now. That did not go as planned Meari thought to herself as she waited for the second arrows fate.

Roy grabbed the comm unit and pistol...the comm could be useful, the pistol was just to make sure nobody roaming around had a grab at another weapon.

He looked over at Larry.  "Anyone else been in here recently?"  They hadn't conclusively proven anything about a larg's sense of smell, he knew, and if his suspicions about larg's having some kind of telepathic sense were true, the past occasions when Larry had "smelled out" somebody could simply have been a case of other senses telling the larg that someone was there.  But right now Larry was his best bet for knowing how much attention their rooftop incursion had gotten.

"Vonet wasn't on the roof, Beth, and unless she's taken one of the rooftop condos for her personal quarters, I don't think she'll be showing up anytime soon.  The welcoming committee is down, whoever was in the condos has come out...some armed, since Lyri's still shooting.  Any chance you can kill the room comms?  If someone calls for help, we're gonna have the roof swarming with hotel security in a few minutes and EtnaSEC probably a few minutes behind that..."

 The arrow flew over  the  Sleepign  wort, the Pulse  Flash and  explosion cased   all the   People  to   start to  find  cover  and shout.. Thw Wort Leaped up into the air  and Hissed  at the  spot  the  arrow  hand  Him..

 Frakas  and  Hemsly  waited   with weapons  ready, for meari's  call.

  There was sound of carbine  fire  as Jax found something to shoot at...

 Lizzy was landing near the building where  the kids  were  found, she  could  see the flash of light.. and a rifle  burst  from  the  ragged  2nd floor of a building, just out  side the  Killing ground.

 Larry 's  nostrils  flare   as he  snorts  and looks  down the stairway.

 Out on the  Roof,  Maria  approached the   sleepwear people.....there are very bad Hombres here... You need yo go in your  building.. stay away from the middle of the front...and please.. do not Call SEC...we will have to think you are  bad  guys too?  Si?

 Meari said too Hemsly, Frakas, Jax, and Jug, " Lets go guys lets hit them hard and fast, they are going towards where the arrow landed lets out flank them." Meari puts her bow away and gets her shotgun out and then moves out and shoots the closest bad guy, waving for everyone too move out and kill these bastards.

 Shadow  was  angry, he  got shot, and he was Covered in some dumbass's guts...FLORES!!!.. whadda see?

it took  about   5 minutes  to ring the thermite grenades.. stepping down onto the  Bodies , the  car shook..., Shadow pulled the monofilament  like  and the  grenades  smokes...

 he pointes to the   top of the  stairs, then holds  a  finger as the thermite  burns trough, and weakens  cables, with the extra  weight in.. when the  car groaned  and began to slip.. he waved   for Shade and Zob  to follow him down, weapons  ready..

 The  Car  broke  free  and Fell about the time   the  Hermites  reached the Bottom of the stairs... 15 troopers   began to fire  at the elevator  doors.. many of them Laughing...  a Sanri stood there    with a sawed off shot gun in one hand, and  pusle pistols in the Other...

 the laughter..nervous..relief?.. Shade   pulled out a frag, and pulled the  Pin, holding the spoon, then grasped his SMG  with One  Hand... Shadow  too a Knee and brought up his weapon... Zob right behind him...

 the  weapons  fired...and finally stopped..laughter  and taunts were   shouted  as they grinned  and  some gave  high fives, the darken room, the  smoke from the weapons....and the Voice that came from behind them...

 ..if you thought that was  funny...watch this...

 Shade  rolled the grenade  at the feet  of the Sanri.. Then  the three fired.

Zob helped load the car full of bodies per Shadows instruction and when the cable car went crashing down and the weapons fire stopped, Zob also had thrown a fragmentation grenade which was rolling on the floor at the Sanri's feet along with Shades and just a millisecond after all hell broke lose with the gunfire Zob was holding nothing back shooting full auto into the groups of enemies and quickly reloading within 2 secs as he let the wall of lead fly.

it lasted  about  30..maybe  40 seconds Shadow and Zob and Shade  dropping empty Mags and Jamming in a fresh one..

 a few of the men closer to the elevator, actually  shot  their own people as they tried to return fir, those in the Back were  chewed  up, Blown up  and chewed up again.

 Shadow  got  up, looking over the  semi dark room, again, shots from weapons fire  and the   smoldering  cables.

 A trooper was torn apart  pretty badly, he looked at Shadow  his eyes , half fear, half   hate..Yu know bullets don't  need   light to   hit something...right?

 the  man gasped , no words   came as he  struggled against the pain....I'm not going to finish you... al that pain...and the  knowing you are gone anyway...that's sorta what those people  feel your  pirate buddies  take off to the Empire? The big differance, you'er a POS, where they were just innocent  folks.

 Shade Bleeped  and Pointed to Tantis Lis..his  chest was rising and Falling, Both his legs were  gone, , scores  of  bullet holes in his chest..Hiya  Tantis.. nice to meet you...you're alot shorter then i thought..oh!..wait?..maybe if we added this on?

 he held a shredded and Bloody leg, Light   blue   blood  all over the  place,..guess you don't wanna  talk with me , huh?  Well.. I'll Just take this... lifting the  COM from the Half Angel's belt....

     Hemsly  flung two Biskets into  the open where  people  can back  in forth, he  it the trigger , setting off    two small explosions  that  took out  a pair of   guards.. the wort was runnign  in circles  screaming

She will then take in the situation too see where everyone was and where everyone was going to figure out a more precise plan.

 Hemsly    nodded, his   greasegun  barked    dropping  another  Guard, people were starting to Collect themselves, the   Gate Guard  had  swung his  50 Cal towards the Place   were  Jax  was  hiding  and Opened    fire,  Knocking over bricks  and  wood....

frakas  Followed the Gava,  firing  at  anyone who turned thier way....beyond them between them   and the Vans, a much larger  Wort  roared  and  snarled  as its keen eyes  searched  the movements

Zob tore the office apart searching for information and uncovered 2 data discs marked ESN/APF he looked one last time but found nothing further he tossed it in the loot bag and headed back out to join Shadow, "Here foam yourself up quick..." he then tossed a can of dermafoam over to him.

 Meari would make her way towards the gate and the Vans, she would shoot anyone or anything in her way. Then Meari saw the much larger wort and once any bad guys near her where down she opened up on the wort with her shotgun when she was within range.

"Hey, Larry...was it a woman?  Can you tell?" He didn't want to charge off after the larg for no good reason.  Of course...

"Is it a fresh trail?  Can you run them down?"  If Larry could chase down whoever it was...possibly Vonet, and if it wasn't, someone who worked for her.  "But I need them to answer some questions, so don't kill them."

As he watched for Larry's reaction to that, he tried to puzzle out the problem in his mind.  "Fan out...if the people in the condos have already seen you, and they're inclined to come out shooting, they'll focus on the van...get firing positions to cover the entrances to the condos that aren't right next to the van, make 'em look for you.  Keep your eyes open for Vonet...remind me sometime to tell Elge his intelligence gathering sucks, for a target this high-profile we should have had something more to go on than "she's at this hotel."  I doubt she'd have tied up the rooftop condos for herself, but then again, I don't sell people to the Demons, so I may be way off about that.  Larry seems to have a trail to follow, trying to sort that out.  Right now, there's no sign of security coming up, but be ready to bug out if we have to."

In a quieter voice, he grumbled, "One lady in a high-end luxury resort and we can't even get a ballpark estimate of where in the building she's even supposed to be, much less an actual location...thank you, Elge, of course I'll go looking for the damned needle in your haystack...

 Lyri  fires    at the   north end   bringing  down a  trooper.. Shoey speared out  away ftom the Middle  door   and  fired  at a pair  comign from the other  end,  then both fell but were  callign out in pain

 Lyri  COMed  the war room,where is Rutledge  and the back up!

 LArry twisted his  head a few times  as  Roy spoke, then  snorted   to move  rapidly down the stairs.

 meari   worked her  way through  from  the  'lowers end" of the Compound.. Frakas  and the Gava  reached   the end of the buildings that were used  as stores and warehouses  several Guards   were   down.. the frightened  wort ran  about, the  Bigger wort sighted   Meari and Hemsly and  Began to charge at a zig Zag,  roaring as it  did.

  Hmesly  tossed   a 'ball" at the  50 cal that was tearing up the  spot  outside the walls were Jax  was hidden, no return fire was  comign from the   young trooper. The explosion  knocked the  Gunner  off the   tower  and onto the hood of the  first Van by the gates... anothe r Man  grabbed the  Gun and  started to  pivot  it , inside...

 meari had  dropped  two guards.. there were other  runnign towards the Lock  entry doors, while others  were forming up behind  extra  vehicles.

  Shadow  Caught the  can and sat on the  desk in,what he thought was, Tantis Lis's offcie.. there were a  few  cries of pain, pleading for help..Tantis was not one of them..he was near to passing out, with  his legs  , only dripping blood  right now.

  Shadow peeled  the  Burned   Viro material from the wound, swearing  in broken Hungarian, as he  did, The foamed up the wound., placing the Lid on the Can he  tucked it in his goodie back in case they would need it...

 Shade  walked in bleeped  , while pointing at the mass of  bodies in the  entry  room.

 Shade opened the    main doors   and stepped out, 4  grounds   SEC popped  up and started to shoot  at  him, Flores  swooped  down, hitting  two on the Left, Shade   went  down and  rolled   he tried to shoot back at the other  Two who were  running towards the   Building..

As Shadow  Looked out the  door, he shook his head,Zob?....can you do something ..why the 9 hells would you run towards the building?

Zob walked over to the safe and took a very small amount of C10 and molded it into a small shaped charge and stepped away before detonating it, he would then rip what was left of the safe door off and grab what was inside stuffing it in the pack not really having a chance to see what it was before turning to see what was going on towards the main doors.

When he heard that two guards were rushing the main entrance Zob gave a bored look as he responded, "I dunno the black is filled with stupid people..." he would then flip down the bipod and rest it on the desk as he took aim through the scope sighting in on the two approaching targets before sending a 5 round burst into each of them aiming just below the neck to compensate for distance and recoil on the headshots.

  Zob  saw  a bunch of   papercreds, the ones in front were a bit burned... but other stacks ( in bundles of 1000)..and  a stack of  cred discs.. aslo, three, metal contained  books  about  4 inches wide, 6 inches tall and  2 inches thick)

 when   he  took the shot   at the two men runnign towards the  doors, as  smoke drifted out, The  First one  Lost his head , fling backwards, the other one truned  to see what happened  and Lost most of his  right  Shoulder. He  flew backwards... writhing on the Grounds, while   Flores  wheeled  around and settled the battered Van  on the Lawn..

  Crawling out of the  hedges in front of the Building, Shade was Bleeping up a   storm, his chest armor,, now next to worthless.

 Ok?... you never..ever..just walk out the front door of  i palce you just shot up.., Unless you are going to shoot  up other folks.

Zob decided to take a quick look at what he put in the pack from the safe and decided to skim 3 credit discs from the stack and stash it in one of his side pockets for personal use before joining up with Shadow and the others back at the Van, "It seems like we are needed elsewhere... its always a shit show when the you gotta go into the Stem" he said to Shadow as he turned and put a pulse round from the DT5 into the dying mans head to finish him off before hoping in the van.

 Meari saw the guard running for the Lock Gates, Meari calls out to Jax," Jax I will get the 50 cal see if you can get the guy going to the Lock Gates." Meari then threw a frag grenade at the new guy turning the 50 cal on them.

 Meari then aimed her shotgun and tried to take out the big wort as fast as she could. Meari then got Shadow's comms," Yes Sir we could use some help, we are inside vans trying to escape out gates stop them, and if you can take out the 50 cal towers as well Sir." Meari was shooting and moving as she was talking to the LC.

 Lizzy began moving closer to the gates, but still kept out of range and hopefully out of sight, if they could take the towers out Lizzy would come in Thompson a blazing. Lizzy waited, then she heard the LC was coming, she got ready for some fun now.

"Ah, that's my boy, Larry..." Roy muttered with a laugh lurking in his voice, as he rushed forward to see what was crunching and whether or not it could answer any questions before Larry fatally crunched it.  "Keep 'em contained, Lyri.  If we're lucky, they're just worried about protecting the guests and they'll decide it's not worth it to rush the roof if enough of them die there and it becomes apparent that we're not raiding the whole hotel."  He didn't hold out much hope for that...but it could happen.

He also checked the captured comm unit...there should be some chatter, he hoped, that could give them some idea of where they needed to go to catch Vonet.  Unless they were REALLY lucky and Larry had just finished the job for them...

 Roy  rounded the  Corner,, Larry stood there.. a head trunign to mush  as he Looked  back , tail thumping and jaws   crunching.. There was a  female  trooper  Under larry's  left  front  Paw, she  was  crying  and frightened, her  right leg seems to be missing at the knee.

 frakas  and the Gava  were slowly workign thier  way down the storefront, hiding  and  shooting, The 'scared; Wort  had been killed  by the Gava..The  Angey wort charged   Meari as she threw her   Grenade..

 hemsly  Hit meari with a   Tackle as  the wort flew over her..  it   slammed into an old   Hover car and tried to get its  bearings.

 The Grenade  wnent off   high... but the  Gunner  Grabbed his  face  screaming, he  staggered  back   and  ended up on the  first VAn's  Hood, with the other  Gunner

 Lizzy could see the gates were still closed, the corrugated metal gates and walls were  roughly  15 feet high.

  Arnie came on the COMs...well be there  first i think..LC was on the other side of the lowers..

 Meari did not hear back from Jax, and she was worried. The grenade went off and took out the gunner. Then Hemsley knocked her down as the Wort went over her, Meari turned got up and fired her shotgun at the Wort.

 Meari then heard Arnie over the Comms, " Very well lost contact with Jax, he was covering us from the lower end of the compound by the hull. Need help with another tower." Again Meari is shooting as she responds.

 Shadow took the two  guards  weapons and ammo,  even if  we don't need them, we can add them to the QM's  stash  he snapped his  fingers  and  ran back to the  building.  unscrewing a light bulb from the desk, breaking  off the   top  half  and  sticking   the  contact point in Lokesh's  mouth... he also shot Lokesh in the chest with  his Sanri, to make  sure  the  light bulb didn't get spit out.

   he   ran back to  the  Van   Jumped in slamming the doors...Stem time.....  Meari..Roy..we're on our way to the Stem..

  Just think how much  fun Matterhorn will be.....

 Shadow  bleeped as he took  new  mags  for his pouch, put the empties back in...

 anyone check those  bodies i hit with the Van?
