  Switching the game to the  Uppers Stadium  did not  set well with most of the Lowers  and many of those who lived in The Stem. But  the bottom line  was credits...the Uppers could  seat 90,000..and at least that many more in the smaller venues  around the stadium.

  Olympus was not afraid to use anything to get an edge...the stadium would have 3/4 of the seating  for "home team" fans, Behind the Hermes bench and the South  Endzone, the Hermes  fans  would  sit..thus...ensuring.. the Home team would have  a lot more support then the  visitors.

  Signs  were being Hung now,  90% of them supporting the Olympus #2 team...drawings made  by fans were posted around the North Endzone. the Favorite, in the middle endzone  was  a half-decent  fan drawing , of Grueless tearing a sheet in half , the sheet had  a number 19 on it...above the figure  was " KIll"...and under it was "shadow"

  The crewmembers of the Hermes hung posters  that  said HERMES 3...5...1..the chant the fans used for  games.  in the South enzone  was pictures  of Lionel  TAcking  an Olympus player, or Miller setting up to throw...one artistic  crewman hand a picture  of Grueless cureled in a ball with the thumbs of his  two right hands in his mouth " GET GUTLESS " it read.

 as in neared game time  Fans began to  trickle into the stadium. Hermes crewmen wore thier Uniforms  to sport thier logo.  However on the far side of the stadium was a block of  empty seats that security guards  would not let Olympus  fans into...they were pre-paid  seating for  fans  yet to come.

  In Suites above  the Hermes Bench the waiters  and waitresses, and bartenders  were getting ready for VIPs to come...In the Center  was the Olympus  station Suite. The  Senator would be there  as well as  any of the movers and shakers on the station...to the Left of that Suite  was the Visiting Teams  suite, where  Hack and those   he invited  would be...to the right of  the  main suite was Gresh's  suite..those  he invited  were of his choice...

  The suites  were  walled off  from each other, except  for a  doorway  near the windows, these  were  left open  for people of the suites to interact during the game

  Securtiy was high for this game, too many Ambassadors being brought in, for things to go wrong.

 One the  running track that cricled the  field. vendors pushed  carts to thier   leased scetions of the stands, one person cooking, or restocking souveniers, the other  running up and  down the bleatchers, to hawk thier  wares.

  Airbalances were lowering themsslevs through the  opening in the roof...one settled in at leach endzone  tunnel.

  The Scorboard  was being tested, animations showing  cartoon Olympus  players  and  Hermes players  running  about.

  Techs  checking headsets  for  both sidelines  to make certain both sides  headsets  worked.

   Some  4 hours before  game time, the Hermes team board  an airbus, to take them to the stadium. Lionel Sits  next to Kray. The  Linebacker stares  stright  ahead., just the briefest of nods to  Kray as he seated  himself.

  The Left tackle, Myron Brown, another  strong fellow  from the foundry  grins  at Kray,..you set the tone  Buddy..every time you hit the Sanri, one of us will too...Punishment is the order of the  day..

  Other team mates  Talk amoung themselves in low  whispers, The Coach, looks over the Bus  and nods to the driver  as it lifts off. Dana and Miller  are talking  about  patterns.

 The  Left Defensive  end, Seaman Samuels sits  in the middle of the bus, He has a stressball that he  is  sqeezing on and off as he stares out the window.

  The bus  arrives  at the stadium and  the  players   exit, each carry thier own gear, some fans    of both teams greet them with cheers or  boos...

  about  a hour before the game, the players  step onto the filed to warm up...Kray runs  some routes  for Miller, then spends the rest of the time  talking with other players and  moving to where Hermes  people are sitting. he signs  some things  for Hermes kids, he has a smile, but it seems out of place..more cold, then happy...

  The LC lead the ladies  out to a waiting Taxi, they landed on the top deck of the Stadium. From there they took the elevator  down to the Sutie  level and entered the Visitors  suite.

  A waiter  greeted them and  pointed out the  Bar, restrooms and the Buffet that was being laid. The Door to the  other suites was open, Hannah  could see Franz wearing  agown, her two "wing women" wore thigh high dresses, franz  had  alot of bling on, the others, not so much. Thier  'dates'  were there  as well. Officers  from the bridge  or accounting. they wore the Hermes-blue  dress uniforms.

  Hack saw them and left  the Senator who was in mid speech, the heavy fellow did not seem to like that.Ahhh, You made it , My dear. he gave  Si  a hug and a peck on the cheek, they his eyesbrows went  wide,Wow! what have you done to my crewmen! The  Players see you two, they will either be inspired..or flabbergasted!

  The  LC giggled  and gave   Hack  a whack on the shoulder,..don't  tease them so, they are a bit  unsteady with thier new  'wings'..besides..nothing wrong  with shaking up the boys...

  Franz entered the Vistors  box, to ask her father something, when she saw the LC and Commander talking to  these two well dressed ladies, she  made her move to smooze...until she  saw who they were,..what..what  are you doing here? And who is this?

  The LC caught  Hannah's  eye, nodded to the gown  and mouthed the  word 'tacky'.

  On the field  the  players  were going through thier last warmups, Miller was taking snaps  and firing passes to the  recievers  who were lined up in two lines, When Kray's  turn came  she  fired  a bit deep and he caught it  around the 50..just behind Grueless, who was going through backpeddle drills,"..that's  right Gutless..keep working on backing away..you might make it through the game!

  The taller  Man swung his  arms at kray who Grinned and was ready to step into him , before two refs broke up the confrontation.

  After he jogged  back and flipped the ball to the center, he waved to the Olympus  fans who were booing  and shouting at him...he turned to the enzone where most of the hermes  fans were, he held up 3 fingers, then 5  fingers, then one...the fans shouted  3...5...1  HERMES! they repeated it again and  again,,causing the Olympus fans to try to match them, but they werenot as co-ordinated as the  Hermes folk.

  standig by the  window with a glass of wine in her hand, Beth was watching the warmups. She  would shake her head from time to time and take a sip. Dressed in blackslacks with a Hermes-blue Blouse and some dainty jewerly, frans had  walked past the Girl when she enters, as if beth were a chiar in the room.

 Not tht Beth Cared. she was watching the  hermes players with rapt attention.

It was either luck, or the cabbie camping out and waiting for them, but Roy and Stoly ended up with the same car that had dropped them off at the Hermes a few hours ago.  Roy chuckled as he climbed in.  "Get your bets made?" he asked, as he pulled his door shut.

 ..You bet..about  5 minutes  after  dumpig you guys off...flew  right there and  laid 500 credits on the Hermes team..tke the points...I got laughed  at, but if i win..whooooeeee...gonna take a weeks vacation.

  when he found out   where they were going to be watching from. The Cabby zipped up to the stadium top, and pointed out the  elevator. ..Just tell the guy your goin' ta Gresh's  suite, and you'er  all set...good thing too, about  a Half hour left!

  Capt Rivets was next to arrive in the Herme's booth. He was dressed in jeans, a Hermes T-shirt and  a Leather jacket, with the  Hermes  ensigna on it. Right behinf him as  CApt, Roles  and His first MAte, both wore the  Brown Harvestor Uniforms. They were shaking  hands  with each other. Teh Senator Ignored  Roles who offered his  hand, if it bothered Roles you could not tell. The Senator  Did  turn to Rivets...who just walked past him to get to the Buffet table.
