Sam was ready and then Snowball followed the others on the trot, Sam just trusted in Snowball and held onto the horn as Snowball sped up with the others. Sam loved it the vibrations were interesting wearing her sundress. " Yeah this is fun." Sam said as they trotted around for a bit.

 Then Madison went for a short Gallop period, Sam got ready held onto the horn, and then Snowball went smoothly into her gallop and Sam just smiled and hung on. They then slowed back down to a walk and Sam was all smiles and added," Wow Madison that was so much fun, the gallop was a little scary but lots of fun, and yes can we do more?"

As Bluebell broke into a gallop there would a surprised squeak from Izzy as the ride became a lot faster than she’d expected with Izzy finding herself standing up in the stirrups, or at least as much as she dared to deal with the bouncing. However she had to admit that it was rather exhilarating, even if she was quietly relieved when they slowed down to a trot finding it to be a more enjoyable pace…for the time being at least.

With both Lizzy and Sam asking for more, Izzy would quietly wait to see if Maddy had anything else in store for them, assuming of course that they had the time of course.

Madison was so glad. From the looks on her friend's faces and from what they were saying, they were having such a great experience.

"Hey, if you guys want to go again, we can do another couple laps. The only constraints on our time are how many credits we want to spend and the stamina of the horses. The horses are just fine. But you guy are going to be sore if we do too much. Two more laps and we should be good. So your asses will only be a little sore tomorrow. Same rules apply. Yell if you have to stop." She grinned at them.

With it decided and no objections, Madison spun forward and started them again. She made sure to warn them for every transition. On the first lap they galloped twice, then on the second lap she gave them one gallop for the same short time  and another that was almost a third of the track. During the long gallop she sped up a bit in the middle then slowed it to normal. It was more than enough to get the blood pumping while still being sensitive to any lingering nervousness. After she walked them back so they could settle down.

"Okay ladies, we should stop. The horses should have a rest, but most importantly you should also. It may not feel like it now but you used every muscle in your bodies, including a bunch you didn't know you had. You're going to be sore and I don't want Shadow to yell at me." She giggled. "But seriously, you're going to be sore."

When they got back to the barn area, Madison jumped off Skywind then went to help Izzy and Sam. Getting off the horse was easier than getting on, but still a bit of a trick.

"You guys all did so great. I'm proud of all of you. So what's next?"

Roy couldn't help the grin that crept onto his face.  "No, Homer...it's not a toy, you don't get to carry it around.  If you're going to eat it, do it now, and if not, drop it.  You'll scare people if they see you jogging around with a head in your mouth."  The situation was so absurd, he was stifling a chuckle, but he managed to keep his tone very level and matter-of-fact.

"Give us a break about the knife, Shadow.  You'd think you'd never damaged one in combat before.  If you'd just learned to shoot half-decently in the first place, you wouldn't have even needed the knife..."  He rolled his eyes in Roles' direction, knowing the EMS Admiral would understand the dark humor of the banter.  "Besides, what did you expect?  It's a knife, not a pry-bar.  Trying to push that much weight with a blade?  You're lucky he didn't snap it right off..."

 Homer  opened his mouth and  dropped the head.  his  tail down and  head  down as he walked forward , with  Freddie behind Stee and  Larry.

 Roles, chuckled ,we 'found ' alot of Guns in new york..that's were  he learned to use an SMG

   Shadow  looked  back and grinned then kept  walking.If  The QM doesn't a replacement , I'm gonna  be  very angry

The med tech Vans were coming  in  to take care of the women and  bag the  dead  mercs., they come out of   tree line and all the Largs Bounded towars them.

 Sam waved Madison on when she talked about credits, that they had taken care of, she figured she had enough to pay for everyone. Then they did a few more laps and Sam was so happy, when they finally stopped Sam thought she could get off alone but she waited for Madison just in case.

 Once everyone was done riding Sam went to the Nivarian cowboy," That was amazing thank you how much do we owe you good sir?"

 After Sam paid for everyone, she smiled and replied to Madison," I think it is shopping time."

 Lizzy loved it when they did the long gallop, she could tell Izzy and Sam where a little scared, but they seemed to enjoy it to. Lizzy loved this, the faster the better and she didn't have to do all the work this time.

 Lizzy could feel her muscles and her bum getting sore already the others would feel it soon when everything wore off but the soreness would be worth it. After they finally stopped Lizzy got off on her own and then went and hugged Lady Red and rubbed her neck and face.

 When asked what next all Lizzy yelled was, " SHOPPING TIME."

By the time they they had done another two laps of the enclosure Izzy had calmed down enough to actually enjoy the experience meaning she was rather disappointed when it came to an end, though considering hat Maddy had said about sore muscles it was probably for the best that they did. With Maddy’s assistance Izzy would half climb half fall out of the saddle with her then walk over to stroke Bluebells mane “You were a good girl Bluebell, now you can go and have a well deserved rest” she said before watching as she was led back to her stall.

With the question of what to do next being brought up Lizzy would eagerly suggest shopping, which Izzy was more than happy to do ”I’m up for that, question is town or capital?” she asked knowing that although Bura City would have more on offer that the town near the airfield would have more of the authentic handcrafted goods like her red leather ankle boots “Last time I was here I got these gorgeous boots for a song…and they’re hand made!” Izzy explained as she slipped her arm around Lizzy’s waist looking to see where the others wanted to go, especially Maddy seeing as it was her first time here.

"Thank you, Sam, for covering the bill. And Shopping sounds great." Madison agreed with an enthusiastic nod. "And hand made boots for a song sounds awesome. I'm a big fan of boots. Please, Lead on."

Roy snorted at Roles' assessment.  "He didn't learn to shoot there.  He might have learned how to point a weapon and pull a trigger, but it's a long stretch to call what he does with a gun 'shooting'..."  He gave a dry laugh, and walked over to give Homer a thump on the shoulder.

"You did good, Homer.  I'm proud of you.  But live heads are not good playthings.  Maybe on the ship when it's just us, or...well, I'd say on the battlefield, because nobody will care, but you shouldn't be playing when we're on the battlefield.  But you two did just what we needed you to do, and your timing was excellent."

As he stood there, reassuring the larg, he gave Shadow a critical look.  "If the QM doesn't have a replacement, you've got no one to blame but yourself.  You've been carrying that thing as long as I've known you, should have had the good sense to arrange for a stockpile of backups if you're going to rely on them that much.  Besides, it's not like we can't get someone local to make something similar that would work just as well and probably be even better quality steel..."  He glanced over at Dusk and grinned a little, as he added, "We were swinging by that village after this...surely someone there makes knives...good, heavy, utilitarian knives.  Might even make some like that, since you were carrying it when you won their hearts with your heroics..."  It was a good-natured jibe, but Roy understood...he'd be annoyed if one of his kukri got mangled.  But it wouldn't be THAT hard to get a replacement, really...

   when the  reached the   BU , Shadow took off his  Environ  suit and  replaced his    tunics and  flight jackets.

 largs  romped  around  the  fields  now, even they knew time was running out, so they had to get  in thier 'hard runs' now.

 Disna  and Puskie  were  just arriving  from the town, Two  Nivarian  females were with them.

 Disna looked at Roy and Shadow...Roll.... he is a Hermite.. he stood up to a Bully, twice his size... SGT Zob intervened , that family is leaving The Hermes before  we  cast off. Roll  also took charge during  the contests at the end...very  unselfish.. and smart.

"OK town it is!" Izzy eagerly exclaimed, pausing long enough to show off her boots to Maddy before following the others to where the car would be waiting. Made out of a dark red leather and with an intricately stitched pattern in golden thread Izzy's boots, although lacking the style of a high class Italian designer were certainly of a very high quality and were clearly made to last "I got them from little leather workers shop last time I was here...I'll show you girls where it is if you like" she continued, though she also wanted to pay a quiet visit to the jewellers.

 Sam smiled and replied to Madison," Do not worry it is my welcome gift to Bura, just enjoy Madison. Yes I say lets go to the town they might not offer as much, but it will be handmade with love and skill and priced well for the fleet the Burians love Delta Fleet."

 Sam then said," I will call us a car we have until to decide but I suggest the town Izzy's boos are awesome I got my sundress there as well all handmade with skill and love." Sam contacted the Palace to send a car to pick them up at the ranch.

  Lizzy was all excited, she took Izzy's hand and Lizzy's bum was getting sore now but the horse ride was so fun and worth it. Once the car showed up Lizzy piled in with Izzy, this was so much fun and Lizzy would have to thank Sam even more after.

" Yes the town is very awesome but just hanging with you ladies having fun and enjoying life is all worth it for me. Now lets go buy this planet shall we." Lizzy giggled as they got into the car and got ready to head to the town for shopping.

"Yeah, wherever is fine. I really like the idea of a small town with handmade stuff. Maybe I'll change my fashion chic. GO for something radically different. But boots will always be a part of it. Leather pants and corset with platform heels. What do you think?" She laughed. "Maybe for Halloween. No seriously, I'll just see what floats my skirt when we get there."

When the car arrived, Madison got in with everyone else. On the way, she looked out at the beautiful countryside as it passed by the windows.

 When everyone gets into the car, the driver takes them to the Town near the landing field. The driver dropped the group off a few blocks from the merchant district and they could see the start of the shops When they got out of the car.

Accompaning Alison, Justin boaded the BU taking a seat beside her. Before strapping in he glanced at her, to check she was rightly settled in her seat.

Roy shrugged.  "Didn't bring a whole lot down, and that all should have gone back up already." He clapped Stoly on the shoulder.

"For what it's worth, think of it as a thousand-credit lesson about gambling.  Don't bet more than you can afford to lose, and even then, you better be pretty sure you're going to win."  A large part of his accumulated savings had been from winning bets...but they were always bets that the Hermes would win, and if he wasn't getting at least five-to-one odds, he didn't bother.  Unless it was a chance to shut someone up...like the time he'd taken then-Senator Frans for almost 30k creds on a football game.  He'd put money in the pot for a situation like that, every time.

  With Dusk, Shade, Yger  with Shadow and  Bow and 1500  Burian  arrows,   Gia,Chatty Smith and Howe   waved  and  caught up   carrying thier Duffles  from the barracks

Alison was in fact rightly settled.  Her expression pensive, she was mentally somewhere betwixt reflecting on her experiences, and psyching herself up to resume her clinical duties on the Hermes.

Her fingers played lightly over the pendant she'd had crafted in the village, before she took her hand and placed it over Justin's.

"Time is a funny thing, isn't it?  We've only been gone from the ship for a pair of days, but to me, it feels more like four or five days."

After a brief detour to collect their bags the pair of them would be dropped off at the airfield where they would join the line of crewmen heading towards the BU’s that would take them back to their ships. Upon reaching the head of the queue an overworked sergeant would check their ID’s and wave them on before moving onto the next in line ”I’m going to have to speak to Kira tomorrow and see about getting some more training organised” Tarja said with the weary sigh of someone that was slowly accepting that they had to go back to work tomorrow as she found them a pair of seats and started strapping herself in ”so have you got any plans for the rest of the evening?” Tarja asked Andruss as they waited for the BU to finish loading and take off.

"True!  Isn't it so funny how that works?" Alison punched his shoulder, lightly and playfully. "Is that like, 'no matter where you go, there you are,' that sort of thing?"   

In due time, they returned and docked, and this particular shore leave became another life-chapter that had reached its end.
