Re: QMs Lockers.
Roy caught the pistol, and with a deft hand, ejected the magazine and cleared the chamber, nodding slightly as he racked the slide. He held it up, sighting along it with an experienced eye, comparing the orientation of the sights to the barrel. He handed it back to Angela, and commented, "A little lighter caliber than I typically handle, but it's in fine condition. If the internals are as good as the outside, I'm sure it's quite a handful, especially in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing." The words were spoken in deadly earnest, and it appeared that there was no way he could possibly be joking about anything...but at the last moment, there appeared to be a gleam, of sorts, in his eye. It could have just been the lighting, though...
When Shadow started pulling out more weapons, all joking stopped, however, and the sergeant listened with almost computer-like efficiency, noting who had which weapons and what that meant for him. Stoly's grenade launcher meant making sure he was well ahead of anyone chasing him to the rendezvous, unless he wanted to risk getting 'eaten' like everything else in the blast radius. The machine pistols were actually a huge relief...with the Commander's apparent intent to change the personnel roster and eliminate the spotter, small but effective suppressive firepower could be a life-or-death factor for the snipers. The Barretts were heavy enough that a secondary assault rifle wasn't an option...even a standard sniper rifle was challenge enough to carry, at times. He took the machine pistol from Kray and started looking it over, even as he listened to the rest of the rundown. For the sake of the mission...and the designated target...it made even more sense to be carrying the Largran weapon...it would cause even more confusion if they had to use them, using weapons of very different makes had long been used as a method of camoflaging the origin of special forces groups.
Without looking up, he asked, in the moment's pause between the rundown of Angela's dart gun and Hannah's stun baton, "Hmmmm...has anyone tried flechette ammo against a Demon target? Not just darts, but honest-to-goodness flechettes?" He'd never used them, himself...but he'd talked with some who had, and they made a royal mess of anything they hit. For his purposes, the limited range of flechette ammo was a liability, however.
At Hannah's mention of his name, he looked up at her, then reached out to take the gun and examine it, as well. He quirked an eyebrow, and commented drily, "Aw, gee...and I didn't get anything for you...now I feel guilty." He was still examining the gun, though...but there was a smile in his eyes.
"Do you have enough of those comm units to give Lyri one, as well? We may need it to coordinate fire..."
