In reply to Dr. Alison Verault (msg # 425):

I was one of thirteen who hung out for several years. Absently giving his eyebrow a rub One of them went EDT and converted a few others. All the scum-bucket and a couple of the others are dead. Justin gripped the edge of the table firmly The Ahole managed to get away.

Re: Officer's Club

"Some assholes are canny and clever, to be sure.  Or just very, very slippery." Alison glanced briefly to where his hand gripped the table.

"Are you hoping to track that asshole down, one day?  Or is it just water under the bridge? Or pretty much impossible at this point?"

I suspect he's hold up somewhere on Earth so I've arranged with Hanna to give me a heads up if anyone with his description pops up in our sphere of operation.

"I see. Well, although you're a wonderful date and a gentleman, I'm also sure you'd make a bad enemy.  I might even feel sorry for the asshole, if he wasn't an asshole."

She tapped a response to Lizzie: I'm in the OC, finishing meal break.  But yes, I can meet with you in the Rec Dec, before I return to my office.

Justin reddened slightly at Alisons compliment then gave a chuckle at her comment about being a A... it boggles the mind what things will do to mess with the lives of others.

"Yes," she admitted, thinking of her father once more. "And sometimes it's even somebody you should be able to trust.   But that's just one more reason I'm so conscientious in my work."

Eventually, lunch was consumed, and it was time to say farewell for now:  "Thanks once again. You of course know where to find me, if you want to see me tonight," she winked.

While walking back, she COMed Lizzie:  Yes, why don't you please meet me at my office, if it's not inconvenient.

----->>>>>  From Rec Dec

Yes, the OC...this was where it had really all started between her and Justin.   Not at all long ago, but it seemed like more time had gone by, likely due to being so busy as well as the jaunt on Bura feeling more like a week than a pair of days.

She regarded Justin. "Well, alright.  You want anything to drink, first? Nothing strong, mind you -- or shall we get down to business?"

"I like your philosophy," she winked.   "Okay. So the first basic step with this one is the side step.   Start out with you knees close together, like this.  Then slide one foot to the side, with your weight on the other, until you slide that foot over to close with it."      She demonstrated while she spoke.

"And then reverse, same step, in the other direction, with the other foot leading."

Justinngrinned at Alison's comment. After listening to her instructions and watching her demonstration he attended to mirror her actions. Do I hold a standard frame or is there any torso or arm portion of this?

Re: Officer's Club

"Tango is done close together.  You'll have your hands on my arms, and mine on yours," she said, as they continued to practice that first step, for a time.   Then:

"Okay, so, now we're going to do essentially the same thing, but stepping forward and then back, instead of to the side.   Like so -- " she demonstrated, giving him time to practice that with her.

"Right, yep...just like that!  Okay.  Now we combine those two things we've just done -- to move in a square shaped pattern.  In other words, start with moving to the side, and then forward, then to the side again, and then backward to the spot where you started. Ready?  Now, one..two..."

In reply to Dr. Alison Verault (msg # 440):

Guided by Alison, Justin practices the movements and stance she's providing. After six repetitions he tilts his head to the left. Are you sure this is a tango, it feels like we've been moving around a square. Which feels like a squaredance.

Re: Officer's Club

She laughed.  "Right?  In truth, 'square dancing' is about dancing in a formation with other couples.  You don't need to worry about that, in tango.  It's only about you and your partner.  And it gets more exciting than this, I promise!"

After they'd practiced the previous a time, Alison stopped and said "Okay, so now we get to making it more interesting, by learning a figure that we'll join with those other steps. It's called the Molinete.  All you'll need to do at first is follow my lead, rotate with me, and then one side step, like we already learned.  Here, we do this in closed position," she moved close to Justin, holding one hand up for him to take, with his other placed at the small of her back. "Like so... "

Alison took a step to one side, then a second step as she began to move around Justin, leading him to follow her movement, "Four...five...six, seven, eight," with the last two counts being a side step that ended their rotation.

Flex

Taking her hand Justin focused on their positioning, movements and steps through  the sequence. Do you mind repeating the sequence a couple of times? he suggested.

Alison grinned, "Of course.  I know you're clever, focused, and ridiculously coordinated. But even so, this is the kind of thing that needs going over multiple times.   We'll repeat until you can do it in your sleep."  She stopped herself on that thought.

"Well, maybe not in your sleep.  That might be uncomfortable, for whomever's in bed with you," she winked.

Justin nodded in agreement of Alison's proposal of multiple routine repetitions. After it takes time to and practice to be able to develop an in anyone's sleep capability. I'm looking forward to getting the steps down pat. he grinned.

"You did great!  For all the jokes about stepping on toes, clumsy isn't an adjective I'd used to describe you.  Not at all," she kissed his cheek.

"So, you want to stop by my quarters tonight?"  she inquired in mock innocence. "Dancing makes my feet swell, and I have a hard time getting my shoes off.  I think I may need help."
