Re: The Brig

At Ease Pilot....Corpral?  You may step outside...

Can't  do that Sir....according to Regs  The Comm.....

Corpral? This is  my ship..aye? I know the rules....and..unless Mr Kase was a Sanri Blaster, I do not think i have much to worry about...

The Guard  signed,..as you say...Sir...  the guard  steps out of the Cells, but leaves the  door open, the tips of his pulse rifle  can  easily , be seen.

As you were , Ensign...have a seat. Now...I have not talked  with Beth Directly...I have Taled to  Captain Monroe and  Lt Miller  over coms...I also listened to Beth's short version, on the way down, on my messages...

He looked  at the pilot, as he started out,...The Hermes had  rgown, from when we started out...we have an attack group of  out  own, the first  Earth has ever seen, as far as the ships being manned  by earthfolks....To use   an old sailing term....'there are  alot  of Weevles in the  flour barrel...'

The  Commander shakes his head  slightly,Eeven as we  speak....Earth's  foundries, along  witht he Angels Tech, are  buling  more Hero Class  Cruisers...and when they are Done, Earth will have another  attack group...that one  will , most liley head towards Everest space....and then, the  3rd  group will be built...each group is being...'refined'...each generation  of  ESN is more and more like  Navy, or MArine personnel....but..out  here in the black...we  run things  a might differant...having said that..you must....you must...be aware of how you treat officers, your senior. Lt Morrow  has alot on her plate...her skills  got my attention..her loyality , kept her here....and  when it  comes to Civie groups, or  the Hermes?...Son?...You are going to lose , everytime.

Beth's  Tech folks are going over yor craft, its a good bet, Rivet's will have  to  put the pieces back together...but? It is all for the good..you see..everyone  looks  after the  Hermes, and, for the most part, each other.

He   leans agains the wall for a moment as he says,we are going aboard   Olympus in a bit...won't  be staying overly long.However..I want you to think on this. When i pulled your file, Command said i shoudl not  take  a pilot as young as you...that you would be better served  hunting  Pirates  out of  San Diego..now..I stuck my neck out  to get you here...and..i gave you a chance to save your  friends, not only From Beth's....attentions...but  from the EDT  and whom ever else the 9 hells  has been using them....now? We get to  Fuji..you sort your friends out....when you  get back, you will report to me  your findings,  depending on  that report, Your  people will either  be sent  down the the Delta  Colony.....or they will be set up with a place of business on Fuji....but  right now..they  are being watched  m by...just about  anybody, on about any side...so..what is your thoughts  on that?

In reply to Commander Hack (msg # 31):

Standing at ease he waited for the Commander to be seated then he leant against the sink

Sir, Thank you for your candidness and efforts to get me transferred to your command. I am grateful for permitting me to save my friends and having them head under ESN protection to Fuji. I shall undertake to ascertain and seek a resolution of what has happened  He responded earnestly and without reservation

In regard to the misunderstanding between the Lieutenant Morrow and myself. Would you like me to present my view of this in her presence Justin added uncertain of the outcome but prepared for the worst, watever that would be.

Re: The Brig

The Commander Nodded as   Justin spoke. When he  finished,  HAck pushed himself  away from the wall and said with a bit of a laugh,..right now?  I think we shall distance you from LT. Morrow. She is...less -then-happy with you at the moment.. Retrun to  Duty , Ensign and  be damn careful from here on out...because of the EDT..and the demon Lovers..and the Anti-angels..and whom ever else out there..doesn't like us?...we don't go through too many channels out here...anything on the ship, gets   taken care of...on the ship.. Admiral Hennings fights  the same  battle at home...sorting out   people who are truely , on our  side, as opposed to those who just want power and the Credits  , this war  can give them...Carry on...

The   Commander   stepped out of the cell and   took the elsvator back up to the Hanger  dec.

Re: The Brig

Zobaich sat there in the corner of his cell completely lost in his twisted thoughts, letting out a evil laugh he raised his head and stared across at the prisoner on the other side of the brig as if he/she was his next meal, "So slender and tasty looking... that soft flesh tearing between my teeth... its always better when my meat is rare!" he said as he displayed his razor sharp teeth in the attempt to cause panic.

The Fellow Looked  over  at the  Halfbreed,..say what you want..I've killed your kind...and  enjoyed it...I don't know why you aren't on a table some where... The Man was  small, but his   Marine Uniform showed he was an Infantry man.

..You could Kill me..that's true  enough..maybe even take a bite...but those guards  would shoot your legs off...and then...what use are  you?...you'll be on the  study table  so fast, you won't have time to get any Uglier..

Re: The Brig

Zobaich laughed his sick sense of humor kicking in, "As well you should you are a soldier after all, it is your duty to kill the enemies of your angel masters and revel in the slaughter, nothing you say or do will change the fact that we are nothing but pawns in a game that has went on since the dawn of time... you and me will both die and we will be forgotten and the game will begin again" His words were cold and sharp as a razors edge.

Zobaich narrowed his eyes at the man as he explained why he was in jail, "Then face your death with some courage fool" he said harshly as he kept his soul piercing gaze upon the man, "There is no maybe, there is no try, you live or you die but the game does not end" Zobaich almost felt obligated to end this mans life just out of boredom at this point.

Henry came into the brig and looked around, a rather bemused look on his face. He'd never understand the military mind.

The  SEC trooper Nodded, theopened the  gate and  Pulled the Human out..taking him a few  cages  away and  tossed ( yes tossed ) him into the  empty cell.

Alright Dr Christie?...You talk with him, through this bars...if its me?..The thing's head is gone  already and you are measuring organs and such....don't give me a reason to pull the Trigger...

The trooper  Moved  away from the  cage, to stand  by the  main door. His pulse  rifle charged up.

Zobaich didn't say anything for a while as he continued to stare until i think out of boredom he said something, "I haven't the slightest idea what planet i was born on some sort of prison colony i believe... my mother died during childbirth... not long after we proceeded to feast on her flesh in celebration of being born into the warrior caste... we were beaten and punished on a all to regular basis... it was to toughen us show us from a young age that the universe is a cruel unforgiving place where death lurks around every corner and the only way to survive was to be faster and stronger and the weak were to be removed... we were just pawns in a game that has no ending"

Re: The Brig

Zobaich grinned as he sat and thought out his request, "You seem to have me at a disadvantage human... something rarely achieved, so ill get to the point and make you an offer you can bring to your angel masters, ill hunt and kill the angels enemies as a mercenary for hire in exchange for payment... you promise to arrange safe passage for me off this ship and out of demon space forever when it is over" It was a tall request he was fully expecting to be refused.

Zobaich then made a motion with his hands for Henry to continue, "You said you had lots of questions for me so do continue"

"My name is 'Henry' not 'human' - that is my species," said Henry.

"I do not work for the angels, but for other humans. I will tell the miliary commanders of your offer... it's a bit out of my area: I am a scientist. Your mother, you said she died in childbirth. Was she human or a different species? What education and training were you given as a youngster?"

Re: The Brig

Zobaich responded, "Fair enough... Henry" he then thought a bit on the other questions before finally answering, "She was a human and the death was brutal anything else more about it i do not know, we were all taught the basics, reading, writing, science and trigonometry, how to speak the common tongue both English i think you call it and then the native demonic language"

There was yet another long pause before an answer was given, "Our group were trained as hunters, if your not familiar with our ranks its means Sniper, if your brought into the warrior caste your trained from the moment you can walk to fight... not that i had any complaints"
