Giving ahalf smile he quickly patted his pockets which, being empty, provide no help.

It didn't take long for the vials to drip out and after they had done just that Roo went to work on pulling out the IVs and bandaging the needle marks.

"Well, we're done with that quick enough, yes? Why don't you dress and we will get you out of that thing." She let him dress, turning her back as she cleaned, sterilized, and put away the equipment she had used. Moving back to him she gave him a look. "So, we don't know your name to give out any introductions. Care to claim one, or do you want me to give you a temporary moniker for the moment?" She held out a hand for him to grab if he needed help getting going.

"Doc says it's the Rec Dec for you. Looks like we get to share a drink. If you... drink... that is." She motioned towards the door, hooking one of her hands in the crook of his elbow to help guide him and give him some support, worrying that his legs might be a bit shaky upon waking up.

Suppressing a grin he quick adjusted his Trousers and was ready to accompany the MedTechs, to this AfterParty shindig. That sounds delightful. I shall be honoured to escort you both to this celebration. offering both women an arm and an enduringly friendly smile If you have no objections to accompanying an elderly slightly cranky fellow to your soiree I would be honoured.

After working his way around the ship, he'd found tech lab on the map. He worked his way to the door, tentatively trying the button for the door.

  TI-JO saw three  folks in lab coats. one was   testing  something  on a board.. another  was checking out   captured weapons... The Third  came to the Door.Hi...how can I help you? you need something fixed?..Made? we have a few more techs  coming  on duty in about an hour..right nowmthere is just us three.

Once she had finished speaking with Meari, Tarja had made her way up to where the tech labs were located. Assuming of course that it wasn’t sealed up in case of an enemy boarding action, Tarja would go inside in search of someone to speak with about getting what she wanted for her team created.

  There were a few techs  , working 0n shells  for the Morning star. the lead  Tech looked at  Tarja  when she entered .

 You need something   Cpl?

”Yes…I am after item for armoured infantry unit, it may already exist I am not sure” Tarja said as she walked over to meet the technician that had spoken to her ”I am looking for something to patch holes in armour, make them air tight again ideally like the medical foam but for armour not skin, you are understanding yes?” she asked, trying her best to explain what it was she was after.

    Then Tech  waved her over  to the  back of the  room. there  were  Cabinets  and cartons, he   opened a  crate that looks as if it had been open  before.

 This was  designed  in Spain, During the   Russo-Angel wars. It was made  for  Tanks, but..well.. it  didn't hold up well. We  found it  works  god  with most  Boarding armor, thought it  does  make light boarding Armor a bit Unbalanced.. Better to toss the light armor and get new...

 Anyway, we  tested in on Heavy and Medium armor  when  some   crewman had to  replace plates that were blown off the Hermes. It worked well in The Black.... Its ..well? almost like Chalking.. you  snap the  top, squeeze the  trigger   at the bottom of the Can,  and the  stuff comes out like toothpaste. On the Lid is a  'spreader'. You  pull that off  and get the  'paste' in there and  spread it   around the   outside  to it seals when  you are done,The Seal will be   in effect , almost  immediately. But it hardens to its  Metal  state in abut  5 minutes... The Can's no good after, so? what's left inside will be  solid   in a bot long of a time span, since its  canned?  say..maybe..10 minutes. Haven't used them much.. Its some kind of  Mixure of  Mercury and  lead with the  compound hardening  once   its out of the can...

 we have alot of it? no one seems eager to use it, Outside a a couple pilots who use it to  seal a hole in the  cockpit.. I don't even thing  they  all carry it?

Following the tech into the back room Tarja would listen as he spoke of a patching solution developed for tanks that would harden into an alloy within a few minutes of it leaving the can. She would take a minute or two to examine the can; noting that it was approximately the same size as a tin of beans and that the "trigger" was large and robust enough to be used by someone in armoured gauntlets "I am looking to use it for field repairs so this should be ideal...and if it means I don't have to replace as many armour sections all the better...ok I will take a few cans to test" she said deciding to see how they were in the field. However if they worked the way he said they did then they should do the trick nicely.

   The Lab tech smiled,be good to get some use out of these . There were  Times  after the  Oil Lords  turned on everyone, that  Commandos  used to sneak into  bases, open a can or two  and shove them  down the barrels of Tanks  or   AA guns. The blow  back  would  kill the operators  and  the equipment.

 They Come in crates  of  24,. Two, 12 can layers. packed  with   foam  so they  don't open  my  being dropped... Never  saw out guys use them,  But i saw some Pics  of   Rivets when he was a chief on Mars, he  had a bandoleer   like the   Guys  with  those   mini launchers use,  The   Cans   fit  right in.... He was known for keeping his mechs  running.. I bet those   fillers had alot to do with it.. the lead isn't  such a good conductor, but the mercury  is. so  you can patch a hole where  wires   were severed, and you might be lucky enough to  regain a power flow?

Tarja would nod her head as the technician spoke with her returning the single can back to its box before picking up the box ”I will take box and see how we get on, if it works well I will be back for more” she said suspecting that they would be glad to be rid of the stuff considering how long it had been kicking around ”…by the way what is name of goop?” she would ask, suddenly realising that it hadn’t been mentioned. As soon as the technician had responded she would thank him before heading back to the hangar dec.

 The tech shrugged. They  Call It MF-13?.. We  just call it Metal Foam... He gave a shrug, a bit embarrassed  that  it didn't have a fancy name.

Zob entered the lab with the angel steel heavy pulse gun (Powered down) and flagged down one of the techs, "I need to use one of the stations for modifications to the weapon here... also i wanted to talk about the possibility of making a man portable version of a aircraft heavy pulse gun much like the hard ammo minigun that i had designed here about a year back"

  The  lead  tech   came up front to greet Zob...well..you know where the   Tables are, make sure  you stow everything away when you're finished, I don't want to be hit  by a flying wrench.

 That antiaircraft heavy Pulse?, you'd have to  make a housing  for it, it won't be light? It will eat through Powercells.. The  Heavy pulse On the fighter  craft or even tanks   are just locked in place and the    air   helps  keep the  cool... They feed of the engine's  Power cells , so it always has  power   flowing into it? You'd have to use   cell cartridges, for what of a better  word. Some like the  smaller one  we  use  for  heavy Pulse  rifles  and  normal pulse  weapons?... You...hmmm.. could  add a  solar chip  that will charge  the  weapon's  cell as well, those are  auto-bullt  into the Regulation weapons

 He brought up a screen and showed  Zob  , pictures of  Pulse  weapons.Tapping the screen he said..these?  about as  big as a  Paperback book.. is what you would need   for a  'hand  held, Fighter or Tank variant of the  heavy Pulse. Shouldn't be  too hard  to  get the QM  people to make a bandoleer that would  hold some...but? You take a hit on one of those  cells, it will go off  and so will the others,  if they find anything of you, it will be miles  away.

Zob got a cart and wheeled off the weapon towards the table as he spoke to the tech, "I knew we talked about a pulse version of the minigun in the past but carrying around a energy cell that could wipe a whole squad if it takes a stray hit is way to dangerous to risk... be near plasma lethal"

   The tech  Nodded as he say on the  edge of a  stainless steel  work  counter.well Mommy and Dady pulse cells  is where Plasma  comes from... some Idiot  for, maybe   5 years  ago, used a  pulse rifle  power Cell, and  a Com to blow open a door on Olympus... word got  around  of how power  it was... not  people sue them like  a nut  job version of picking locks... what is real bad, is was taken up a notch and used   with Hover Car cells  and  such,..but you blow a Cap ship class power ..that's when Plasma is Born.   Your  folks?  they  refined  the pulse burst into streams  and coalesced  it  into  a 'gel' for want of a better  word...but the damn stuff is  hungry  and   it  doesn't stop eating until  it dies...

 oddly enough ? Dirt...water  and Glass   stops it. 

Zob nodded as he placed the weapon on the table, "That's helpful information I'll make sure to keep note of it"

He then grabbed the tools and began to disassemble the weapon, "Much as I want to lug this weapon around it's not always practical so I wanna break it down and use the parts to make a medium variant may not have the same exact firepower but would be lighter and a lot more accurate, would you be so kind to lend a hand?" He asked the tech sitting there at the edge of the table.

Zob with the techs help started work on the new heavy pulse rifle design which would take them a considerable amount of time, "This thing is gonna see one hell of a field test down on Paradise" he chuckled as he removed the firing mechanisms.

Having never been to the tech labs before Izzy wasn’t sure what to expect as she walked in carrying a laptop with a bright pink case under her arm, and a vidboard and notebook in the other feeling very much like the new kid at her first day at school. In the end, much like her first day at school, she would walk up to somebody and politely get their attention before nervously speaking ”Excuse me, I wonder if you could help me? I’ve been working on a project for the SM and was wondering if I could borrow a workbench to work at?” Izzy started, awkwardly shuffling the laptop to a more comfortable position under her arm ”…also I am…um…could probably use a little technical assistance, I can do the programming and electronics no problem but manufacturing the chassis and engines is a little beyond my skill set…and I…um…really want this to work” she said not really wanting to risk producing it all herself but on the other hand she wanted them to know that she wasn’t expecting them to do all of the work for her to then take the credit. She was also very eager to produce something that actually worked and wouldn’t fall to pieces when tried demonstrating it to Roy and the others.

   The Tech waved to one of   the 'lead techs' the guy came over   Lab Tech 2.

   Just  so you undersatnd.. anyone who comes in here.. gets the  far  end tables..no offesne, but we have things  we have to work on, and even somehting that may help us, needs to be out of the way.

 he lead her  down to back  there were  three   tables  and a pair of  work stations for  computers.Mark this as SEC. with your name... we have some transfers. we can give you a  Tech to help you.. don't waste him, if you don't need him, send him back to us..

”Sure that’s ok I can do that” Izzy replied more than happy to work wherever they wanted her to do if it meant she could do the work somewhere other than her kitchen table. She was also more than happy to have one of the new transfers help her ”yes, of course, I can do that I just need someone to help fill the gaps in my knowledge” she continued, quickly setting down her laptop and notes onto one of the specified benches so she could start her work.

With her laptop set up on the workbench with her notes spread around it, Izzy would carefully solder components onto the PCB in front of her like she’d been doing since her arrival in the tech labs. She was yet to meet the transfer assigned to assist her but that was alright as she had a lot of electrical work to get through and test before she could start assembling it all together. She quietly hoped that she would have something to show Roy and the others in a day or so, if only to prove that she was actually working on something, before she was pulled into another combat situation and had to put everything on hold again.

Izzy had spent much of the morning at her bench within the tech lab working solidly on her prototype and was currently in the process of assembling the collection of PCBs, audio-visual equipment and other pieces of assorted hardware together within an aluminium frame as her laptop ran several diagnostic tests and 3D modelling programs in the background.

Tanya, her borrowed assistant, meanwhile was currently fabricating the airframe, with the first concept consisting mainly of offcuts of aluminium and fibreglass whilst they tried to source the alloys and coatings they wanted.

Izzy had received Lizzy’s first message and had promised herself that she would send a response and head out to meet her just as soon as she had finished this little bit only to get immediately distracted by her work and promptly forget. Around half an hour later she would receive another message from her wife prompting a guilty pang as she opened it, her eyes going slightly wide as she read it ”hey Tanya are you ok to finish off the frame without me? I’ve just got to attend to something” Izzy asked as she quickly tidied up and got to feet, sending Lizzy a quick message as she hurried out the door.
