Mortica    continued to Look  by the ice  chests   and aroudn that area , some of the Vendor s were  filling the icechest with  more soda  and water as well as  fresh  ice.

 The Med teach had   Koffels  sitting up, his lips  were  smashed and  his nose   looks broken,, his right  eye was  swelling shut...It Vould see  to be  der bad  day for me..Ja?... seems mine  aircraft..did not..measure up?  he laughed through the pain... the Mantis aircraft  were  still about thier business.

 The APV  bounced  across  the    plain  Hack hanging on one  side bar, Kira  on the other.. a Med  Tech  and a Burner team in the back of the  APV.

 Teela   could  see  smoke  coming from Under the    shattered  fighter.. The inside of the Canopy flashed   twice,, the  second time a bit of  Hole  was  formed..  then more  and More   was   flying out  as  a Boot   could be  seen  Kicking away.. Balck smoke  was  comign  out of that  hole , from inside...

Teela landed and plunged her daggers into the cockpit, the edges sharp enough to cut through almost anything ever made. “Almost there, LC. Are you injured?” Teela asked as she kept cutting away the canopy.

 He kicked the     edged  more     and    had  a  hole     almost big  enough  for  his shoulder… Just a Little more...

 Teh APV  was almost there.. Dust   flying up from the  6  wheels.

Melia held on bouncing along the terrain cursing the physical limits of the APV and the level of risk the driver was willing to accept.  Her theory even it came to driving vehicles, and the occasional stolen shuttle was simply to drive it like you stole it, and in emergencies you live on the redline. She gritted her teeth waiting impatiently

Karl had noticed the smile, as well, although he didn't arrive until after Commander Si had started asking questions.

"Commander, I've been a test pilot for over a decade.  This is the first time I've ever seen an aircraft designer turn and walk away from one of their planes going down...and it's for damned sure the first time I've ever seen one smiling when a pilot was going down in their plane."  He turned and looked at Koffel.

"Wonder how many EDT connections we'd find if Beth started checking out his background..."  He looked back to Si, and added, "It would certainly explain the garbage excuses for aircraft that he showed up with...I've never seen anything underperform so grossly, and unless he's got someone on Fuji producing for him, he even had to pay to ship them out here.  The poor design isn't necessarily criminal, in and of itself...but if there wasn't malicious intent, then there's criminal incompetence in shipping planes that bad this far."

Zob decided to remain silent and when Mortica found the object he mentally let out a sigh of relief and watched as she came over to confront Koffel about it, Zob looked to the Commander as Karl spoke his input on the matter.

Having no official rank or duty yet, Viktor stood near a Mortica but did not get involved. He merely stood ready to help her, and kept a watchful eye on Roll and Gregor while she went to work.

Zob was growing quite angry if it wasn't for the Fuji Sec and them willing to gun him down he would of killed him but he managed to keep his cool for now, "Commander... i suggest we detain him immediately, and hold him for questioning, i think he sabotaged the LC's plane hoping to collect on the empires bounty"

    Shadow    was  swearing    , His  Sanri Blaster  fired  again  to  Blow out   some     mor e of the    Metaglass..

  The  APV  stopped  , Hack shouted..  ..Back Up..Black Smoke..its goign to Blow!

    Shadow   struggled  out of the      pod..  his    flight   jacket  getting   shredded  as he   did..  He  rolled out obver the   Top  and  Just  waved Teela   away....GO..NOW!...

  The    He   Hit the  Deck   a few Yards  from the aircraft... and the world   went  white and red.... Bits of Metals   flew   out   all over  woods  from the   trss  rained   down  on those  by the  APV..

I'd suspect the either the Torpeto Crew and SIM controllers would be assigned that task. I'd also think any available pilot would be more than pleased to guide a ROM back.

Kira's eyes grew wide as she saw a rain of shrapnel from the trees and aircraft raining down upon them, "Take cover!" as she tried to find a place to escape the metal storm that was raining down upon them using much of the APV as cover to the best of her ability.

Despite decent cover she still got cut up pretty good as a piece hit her in the cheek tearing open a fair size gash, "Nine hells!" she said holding her bleeding face. when Melia gets to Shadow Kira would take over driving the APV as she was well trained in operating them and a much better driver.

As soon they arrived Melia had started moving towards Shadow, but at Hack command she fell back a few yards and hit the dirt covering her head and neck with her arms, and clenched her eyes tight. She felt and saw the flash through her eyelids. Immediately after the explosion she was on her feet running towards Shadow at top speed. Ignoring the raining debris and the hazard it posed as she raced to recover Shadow.

 from where they  were.. they heard  the  Muffed  explosion from  a mile or  so away..saw the  bit of  flame  and smoke..

 Shade  stiffened … all heads  turned towards  the direction of the  crash site.

 Koffel  looked    incredulous ..he  could not have  Gotten out?... If   a POD   doesn't launch, it has to be opened by   ground crews  with  Hyper   drivers  and   Hyper hammers..

At the sound of the secondary explosion, Viktor looked to Roll, then walked over to Mortica, “My love, I’m going to take Roll and Gregor home. This situation is growing beyond what I feel comfortable with Roll being here- if you agree of course.”

   they Techs  stopped  for  a minute or two  as the discussed the  ROMs  with   some officers   from    Delta 4.

 The one who   was talkign with Justin the Most, let the other two handle itWell the Thing is .. if...when .. they make the ship.. it  will be  a form of Sloop?.. no fighter  piltos  or SIMs  on a Sloop.. just   a crew of 40?..i think... they may have to add  some to launch the   ROMs.. but?.. they'll have to see who  they can get to  join a vessel like that

A shocked look came over her face as the explosions went off.  She looked at Karl, then began moving to get to the crash as well seeing as Zob and Morticia had Koffel well in hand.  "Dammit...didn't know how right I was" She wanted to slap the back of his head but she had other things to do.  She found a APV heading that way and flagged Karl to jump on it as well.  Hopefully they could get there in time.

Karl waved for Nikki to go ahead.  There was already an APV full of personnel out there, plus Teela...he wasn't going to do any good going out.

He instead looked at Koffel and smiled, dangerously.  "Well, now...I suppose that all depends on whether you made your pods any better than you made the rest of those ridiculous excuses for combat craft.  Even if you did...there's a lot of dead Empire allies floating around the Black that made the mistake of underestimating the resourcefulness of the Delta Fleet.  Unless you had him in a metal box that was welded shut, Shadow would find a way out...and even if you did have him in that box, he still might."

His smile took on a decidedly malicious edge and he added, "If you are working for the EDT, in any way, shape, or form, you're better off owning up to it right now and throwing yourself on the Commander's mercy...because if Shadow gets ahold of you, it's not going to be a pleasant experience. And since we're not due to leave port right away, it will probably last a while, too."  While he hadn't accompanied Shadow on any of the Delta Night forays, he'd heard the stories...and he'd been around Shadow enough to make an educated guess at which parts of them were true.

That wasn't what Justin thought. The initial concept was for the ROM's to be deployed via torpedo tubes; which suggested their prime recovery capability be included in the Ships deploying them.

Teela jumped away from the craft, towards the LC and landed over him with her wings spread so they were covering the both of them as the fighter exploded.

Mortica turned towards Viktor and nodded. "I agree. I'll see you both back home once this investigation is concluded. Everything will be all right, my son. I'll be home later."

She turned back to Koffel. "The LC is more resourceful than you think and I've noticed your smile is gone. We will get answers from you. Like I said-I am very convincing," she told him with a malicious grin that showed her fangs were fully extended. Her eyes were deep red with black, dilated pupils that looked like windows to Hell given how angry she was.

Henry said "On the whole, these partnerships seem to work best when the handler and the animal are fond of one another..."

Then all hell seemed to break loose with an aircraft crashing, and he ran out to see what was going on, Mila at his heels. The first person he saw was Mortica, looking furious.

"What happened? Who crashed?"

“Shadow. And it appears to be sabotage. She turned to Commander Si. “Permission to question this...human in my way. He’ll tell us all we need to know.”

Viktor nodded, moving to place his hand on the boy’s shoulder, “Everything is alright, Roll. Just a minor mishap.” He then offered his hand to Roll, “Come, young man. Your mother needs to work for a bit, we will see her back home.” He stooped down to pick up Gregor with his other arm. “If you’d like we can stop and get ice cream on the rec dec.”

  Roll  Nodded to Mortica  as he Looked  up at her, then turned to  Viktor,...do you think we can go to the Beach.. i heard  some kids  in school said  they were  going  down today..and  there would be a beach party  all day long  until   late... when it was  dark..almost like  last time..when we got rescued up?

    The Commander Looked at Koffel, his battered  face already showed  some of the anger   The people would have.

 She  held the COM in her  hand as she waited for the   Admiral's sit rep. The COM shook in her hand..whether it was from Nerves, or  anger..  only a few  could tell.

  Koffel looked  around  at the others, he tried to stand up, but the FUJI SEC  Sgt  pushed him back down... you cannot  Punsih me.. for  my  aricraft   failing... perhaps   if your Pilots  were not so reckless they...

 Morris  said, calmy,..Dead... they would all be Dead..one cannot   fly a  fighter, and  not   be reckless...no matter  what make or model a fighter  is.. no matter who makes them.. they will always be pushed towards the edge

 Flores   reached the  gathering as the  last conversion started..Abby was with her, Just ebcause...she was with her...
