Re: CIVIE SECTION

After leaving Jesse, Joseph makes his way back to his rooms cleans his guns, reloads his clips and restocks his reloading fanny pack.  With only his guitar in hand he finds the observation deck, if it is open he will set and stare out at the planet pensively, his hands absently brushing out quiet melodies from his youth.  Only when there if a disturbance on the planet surface from the explosion does he pause and look around.  No reaction from the other people? he goes back to playin.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

Seeing the shuttles return Joseph returns to his room, grabs gear for the night.  He'd probably be hearing from the pulse soon.  Having walked in the ruined streets of a "Unofficial" colony that had been attacked by Demons Joseph still marveled at the calm with which people went about their lives on this war ship.  As the skies beyond the hull were light by tracers and canon fire the men still walked to the Forge and others made their way to hydroponics as if it were any other day.

His bag ready to go he sat in a folding chair by the toy shop and practiced some children tunes, listening for his com to go off.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

down in the 'town'..civie s scrurried  about...the  street opened up slowly, half  going left..half  going right, revealing a ramp, that lead  down into the 'bunkers'

Outside the Main doors, 2 30 cal machine guns were set up, with  the  gun team and  2 SEC sharpeshooters.  women with babes, expecting women..and all children under 16 were herded into the Bunker. some of the women carried  Pulse  guns ..in some  20 Minutes the  Officer of the Militia Blew a whistle, after they searched  for stragglers...the  street closed as the rest of the Men and women set up in windows of the Buildings and  a pair of Heavy pulse  guns that covered the entrance into the  town...lights began to dim, leaving only the Red  emergency lights...

In reply to Horn (msg # 17):

In a nich near the ceiling, Joseph overlooks the bunker , uses his computer to intercept non incrypted transmissions to pass the time.  When he here's Garrats offer to make Nickerson a new sword he files it away.  He needed a saber and no one around here seemed to have one for purchase.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

With the space battle over, Joseph waits for the all clear.  He needs supplies from planet side and starts trying to figure out how to get them, but then he saw the news vids on the mercenary ship.
He knew the Captain.  He'd sailed with him before as part of the kitchen and Navel crew.  Another good ship gone.  Did anyone even know how many mercenaries and soldiers of fortune went into the black never to return?

In reply to Joseph MacPherson (msg # 19):

Joseph helped some of his new neighbors back into their homes and asisted in settling some of the larger families. When the tailer offered payment he accepted only a length of bleached muslim.
He returned everything to his room and got to work on a small project his old meastro had taught him to stretch his aching hands.  Once finished he set off with only that and his Irish flute.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

In reply to Joseph MacPherson (msg # 20):

Joseph sends an advertisement out on the net to the Angel moon showin his traditional music skills in the hopes that some bigwig will pay handsomely for folk songs of the ESN culture an searches for information on where the survivors of the merc ship ended up.  He scans the bounty hunter dattabase memorizing the faces quuckly, a skill he got from skipping from ship to ship as a an entertainment officer and attempts to catch the first shuttle down for the civilians if he can.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

Joseph got to his flat, he had plenty of money to last him awhile, but that wouldn't last forever.  He needed to get cleaned up an headed in a direction.
Obviously a ship that is likely to come under attack like this was no place to be passed out drunk.
Joseph carefully showered and cleaned himself up.  He got dressed in some clean cloths but couldn't shake the chill as his body struggled to recover after loosing so much blood and taking so much damage.  He brought in the pack someone had faithfully left by his door and hobbled down stairs.
"Good day sir," he curtiously greets the shop owner, is there a place on this ship a person can go that's nice an hot?"

Re: CIVIE SECTION

Joseph crashes at his pad then goes ant buys some plastic pipe, toothpicks and buckshot.  If there is rubber innertubing available or anything else that can act as a drum skin, he tries for materials to make a drum, or two.
He returns to his flat and makes some morocca like instruments, and several rainsticks.  Even a drum or two if he can do so in a timely manor.  They aren't professional grade, but they are easy to make and he can do it almost one handed as he is.

Packing these in a bag he swings by the civilian medical bay and offers to spend time with the little ones.

Re: CIVIE SECTION

Maybe his body was still in shock after all the abuse it had taken at the hands of the EDT, or maybe the Angel healing serum had dedicated all of his strength to healing.
Despite the horrible pain of  shattered knee and hand, and multiple shots through his torso, [any one o which would have been fatal outside the miracle of angel medicine] Joseph felt stronger than he had in years but he just couldn't keep his eyes open, and when he was awake he was ravenous hungry.  On top of it he was He'd commed the med bay to see what was going on.  They warned against over exertion while he was healing and suggested some supliments and a high protein and greens diet which sucked another 50 credits out of Josephs savings.

He couldn't play music for the time being and at least for now the inprompt band he had been in for the party on the blue moon was giving him wide berth but living on the Hermes was cheap and his time with the demon raised children had given him faith that there may be a place for him here after all.

Still, he needed to check on things station side, so he put in a call to the  Madam.  After making arrangements to get together and review the information gathered in the brothels, he recieves a call from an old merc friend in town.  A real character who was over impressed with early earth culture.
Bo-Jagger snorts on the end of his line.  "Hey Mack, heard you were in town.  Want to meet meet me at that little tourist shop near the stem?"
Joseph was a little weary that Bo, a maverick merc pilot would have reason call him, Not sure it was a good idea he sighed.  knowing Bo's love of old earth sci-fi he indirectly confirms the location. "Is the moon a cruel mistress?"
He could hear Bo's smile over the phone "Wy-Knott."
Joseph sighes again, "Meet you there in half an hour." The was no way the alien wished him ill but this wasn't his style.

From Hangar Dec>>>>>>

Ajax looked for data on Largran Mechs on his COM as he traveled the corridors.
...little Sam was finally getting heavy to carry.
This was one way to get some strength training into another busy day Ajax mused.

Entering the Civie section, Ajax saw what appeared to be a small park..
on either side were apartments and small Businesses...there were  'for rent " signs on  a lot of the Buildings.

Ajax looked around and checked his Hermes Map Ap on his COM and the address for the apartment he and Sam had been assigned...

The apartment, as to be expected, is spotless as if it were  under ESN militart specs.

"That's not a problem. Filthy habit. ...so Sam honey what do you think?"    Its looked spacious to Ajax who was accustommed to small quarters.
He was not at all sure how much room a little girl would want. It was certainly much more than she had had before.

Maybe you guys will have school there? I don't know.

You can come to the hangar Dec to see us off though.
Wave at Garrat and Naomi and see Liberty get loaded on the Valkyrie?
Does that sound fun?
