Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

Lizard @ spits a ball of saliva at JACK and finally hits him. It then moves up to JACK, ready to tear into him.
22:57, Today: teslas rolled 17 using 1d20+5.
JACK's hair, just as ZEIG's did, begins to dissolve and turn to paste. You are now sickened as well, JACK.

The other large lizard, dissatisfied with its ability to injure JACK, and now blocked by magical terrain, turns its attention towards a softer target, biting DAI, his robes absorbing a small bit of the pressure.
23:01, Today: teslas rolled 12 using 1d12+7.
23:01, Today: teslas rolled 25 using 1d20+9.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

It is basically pitch-black inside of the stable. You can discern nothing, especially with the bright quarterstaff in your possession swinging around you.

Only two of JACK's strikes make square contact with the lizard, and those are weakened by the raunchy saliva's affect on him.

Lizard 3 shifts over to the "left" and bites JACK.
23:51, Today: teslas rolled 6 using 1d8+4.
23:51, Today: teslas rolled 23 using 1d20+5.

Lizard 2 moves in and bites VIL on his buckler arm with immense pressure, its powerful jaws nearly shattering the bones outright.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

The large lizard now looks severely damaged.

VIL slashes at the lizard in front of him again, but once again misses.

"I'll be out for a bit this morning if you need to play me for a while.  Zeig's gonna chill where he is and heal Dai up this turn."
06:57, Today: ZEIG rolled 13 using 1d8+5. Cure -> Dai.

Lizard ! runs westward (Withdraw action) down the street, away from combat and into the darkness. Listen check to pinpoint the squares it is in, if for some reason you would want to.

Lizard @ climbs over DAI's magical rubble towards VIL, and bites him. [Private to DAI: You saved VIL being the target of a full-round attack. Difficult terrain rules.]

The large lizard holds its head up and squeals. It then moves in a way only reptilians can away from JACK, Withdraw Action and up next to DAI. ("down-right" and then around avoiding AoO from VIL)

14:48, Today: ZEIG rolled 2 using 1d8-1. damage.
14:47, Today: ZEIG rolled 17 using 1d20. AoO.

Zeig strikes out at the fleeing lizard and hurriedly fashions a small, balming light, directing it towards Vil.

Sorry about initiative.  I should've stayed off the board that night.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

JACK misses his attack, while, embarrassingly, ZEIG does not. At any rate, the lizard manages to make it deep into the darkness with only minor damage.

Round 6:
10: JACK [Private to GM: Tick ZEIG's sickened (2 rounds left).]
 8: Medium Lizards
 5: DAI's difficult terrain decrements.
 3: VIL
 3: ZEIG
3: DAI [Private to GM: increment the round.]

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

16:59, Today: DAI rolled 8 using 1d20+1. spot.

DAI tries to see where the lizards had scampered off to but...with little luck, he then turns his attention to the ones that were still here and, currently biting his friends. He swirls his free hand in a wide arc, before sending a palm thrust at lizard 3, shooting with it a transparent open-hand slap, with the force of a gale behind it.

17:02, Today: DAI rolled 23 using 2d10+5. aero(point blank).
17:02, Today: DAI rolled 18 using 1d20+4. aero(touch)(point bank).
Reflex DC 15 or knocked down 5 ft(provoking an AoO from VIL).

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

[Private to DAI: A creature hit by Aero must make a Reflex save to avoid being blown back by this sudden force. Medium and Small creatures that fail this save are blown backward directly away from the caster 5 feet. Tiny or smaller creatures are knocked prone and blown back 10 feet.

You can't knock Medium-sized creatures prone until Aero III, although this may change in the future as both the other creator and I think that might be a tad bit late to blow over average-sized enemies. On the other hand Aero is meant to fuck up smaller creatures or flying creatures more than anything else.

Judging by the slope of the line between you and the lizard, it would probably lean towards going into the square that isn't the difficult terrain. The fact that the difficult terrain is harder to enter in general pretty much seals the deal on that one. Where creatures are blown is up to their location relative to the caster. If you want to be sure of angles, line yourself up as perfectly as you can. All that being said:
]The lizard is chopped into strips of leather and flesh by the slicing winds, scattering its pieces in an arc behind it with the majority of them in the square next to DAI's lingering magical rubble.

VIL finds it unnecessary to further mutilate the lizard's remains as it is whipped away from him.

Most of ZEIG's hair is falling off in large, slimy, mottled hunks onto the ground and his eyebrows and eyelashes are completely dissolved. The saliva's effects seem to be lessening as it dries out and will subside soon, although dried lizard spit has an all new type of horrible stench.

Round 7:
10: JACK [Private to GM: Tick ZEIG's sickened (1 rounds left).]

 3: ZEIG
