Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

...but fails horribly.

The remaining lizards dart off into the darkness as quickly as their bowed legs will carry them (Withdraw Actions).

DAI's difficult terrain fades away at about the same time. ZEIG smells awful, and JACK as well to a slightly lesser extent. As ZEIG breaks some of the crusty spit off of himself, it is immediately apparent he has no hair anywhere on his head.

Combat is over.[Private to ZEIG: Your hair is gone. You could easily be mistaken for someone who has alopicia and are a little self-conscious about your new look. You take a -1 penalty on all charisma-based skills when dealing with humanoids for the next three weeks.]

Everyone gains 750 Experience for completing the encounter.
[Private to JACK: You gain 45 bonus EXP from response times.][Private to DAI: You gain 15 bonus experience from response times.][Private to VIL: You gain 5 experience from response times.][Private to ZEIG: You gain 11 bonus EXP from response times.]

Round 7:
10: JACK [Private to GM: Tick ZEIG's sickened (1 rounds left).]
 8: Medium Lizards
 5: DAI's difficult terrain decrements.
 3: VIL
 3: ZEIG
 3: DAI [Private to GM: increment the round.]

Players are their usual

4 = "
5 = "
| = wall
- = wall
, = road
. = ground, slightly wet dirt or sand
# = door
X = difficult terrain from Stone. red/yellow/green = 1/2/3 rounds remaining

OOC: We're even in a straight line...hurry, everyone throw your hands in the air and jump up and down as music plays!

DAI brushes himself off, then looks to the others, forcing himself not to cringe somewhat at the site of ZEIG's new hairdo..

"S-So then...relatively unharmed?"

Zeig throws another veil of soothing light towards Vil before attempting to deal with his coat of saliva.
21:06, Today: ZEIG rolled 8 using 1d8+5. Cure -> Vil.

While flecking the crusts of spit off Zeig notices there is nothing left of his braid.  His eyes widen as he comes to this realization, his jaw slightly ajar, before he simply narrows his eyes and looks away from the group.

Everyone's thoughts begin to turn towards finding a safe place to spend the night. This is quickly interrupted by a slamming sound of wood on wood coming from the back of the warehouse.

I'd like to take a bath. Jack grimaces and brushes the gunk off of him as best he can. He looks at Zeig. Hair grows back. At least we're all safe, right?

Zeig looks at Jack with an alien expression on his face, seeing as he has no eyebrows or eyelashes and is missing his 2 feet of hair.  "Hmph!"  He opens his mouth to speak further but instead jerks his head towards the large warehouse as he hears the slamming noises inside.  "Could there be more beasts?"

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

Describe how you're moving to the warehouse. You know there are large double doors on the front. You heard slamming at the back. If you'd like to simply go "to the warehouse" you're already there, staring at the side wall.

DAI raises his right hand above his head, still holding his bow with the other. Holding this ready stance, he moves slowly toward the stables from the right side, waiting for JACk to lead the way with his light.

Re: Chapter 3-A: "Chartering" a Sea-worthy Vessel

The three mages stay within 10' of JACK as he makes his way south between the stable and the warehouse.

Apart from the dead bodies, no more lizards can be seen. You all make your way around the southeast corner of the warehouse. There is another large set of double doors, slightly larger than those on the front of the building.

No sooner than you rounding the corner, one of the doors close the last four or five inches in a sort of "gentle" slam. It was impossible to get a glimpse inside. A few seconds later a big thud against the doors can be heard, definitely sounding like wood on wood. Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering).

Everyone roll Listen checks.

20:14, Today: teslas, on behalf of VIL, rolled 22 using 1d20+6. Listen Check.
VIL comments that he thinks he heard something like goblins talking through the slit as it closed. He also thinks he may hear some growling of some kind from inside.

"Goblins, Vil?...goblins that know we're here...maybe you could try talking to them Dai?  I'd prefer not to slaughter everything with different skin like Bill...if they're not the cause of this..."

DAI looks at ZEIG, then to the door...before reluctantly stepping closer and speaking in a recognizable tone.

[Private to teslas: "Whoever's in there...we don't mean harm if you don't. We scared off the giant lizards if you were hiding from them...we only want information about what happened here."]

"We could explore in the morning, this seems like a ghost town.  I wouldn't mind a quick wash and maybe we could camp away from potential dangers...what do you guys think?"

Zeig runs a hand through his hair absent mindedly, quickly remembering that he is now bald.
