Game and Setting information

The land is divided.  Several tribes and city states are warring for control.  The players are parts of various factions and will determine the fate of the land.

Each player is part of a faction.  Factions are controlled by a player or party or NPC if no one wants to command.

Let's talk about the factions:

Bridgeburners:
"The Bridgeburners is something more than  a military unit. Men and women from fifty kingdoms and races. You can walk among sons of generals, assassins, kings and commoners. Our most condecorated company in the history of the Empire, the most tradicionalist, the toughest, the proudest. They are a sect that can make the devotion of the Fists of Hextor pale in comparison to the fire that reside in their spirit. They are the extreme of everything."
General Agrundar Benojil.

The Bridgeburners are an elite company with various specialties; among them and perhaps more important, the destruction of supply lines infraestructure. Their devotion to their captain is unparalled. Captain Alphileus is the man that singlehandedly turned defeats in victories, saving Bridgeburner lives. The company is confident in him because even when soldiers are ready to die, unlike other officers, Captain Alphileus never make them die stupidly. Also they are unique in the methods of recruiting. Bridgeburners use rape of prisioners and the abduction of children to raise them in the military.

They come from the Karot Empire, across the sea. The Empire that says have the strenght of Hextor at its side, is not shy at all at trying and succeeding in conquering the other realms. The Bridgeburners were sent as part of a larger army supposedly sent to conquer and pillage the realms. However, as soon as they put a feet on land, the other units immediately attacked them, killing more than half of them. Among the victims, Captain Alphileus' deceasse impacted in the moral of the company greatly. The reason is unknown, but Bridgeburners only care about other Bridgeburners, and the Empire will pay for this treason.

Zarusian Soldiers:
"The church of Zarus is the true cult of humanity, my grandchild. I know that the pelorites will seduce your souls with promises of peace, friendship, blessings... When that happens, stand tall look at them in their eyes and tell them that the sun rises for all, but only Zarus cares about the blood that runs in your veins. I have seen humans die because the pellorites were too busy healing a low-life elf to help. I have seen them heal even orcs that were made prisioners. Out of mercy, they say. I say that Zarus and Lady Maria Brightmane are the only hope that humanity as a whole has to elevate our to our rightful position."
Benneth Afghatol, village elder.

The sect of Zarus is the last pain in the neck of the Church of Pelor. Although few in numbers and lands, the Zarusians still hold their ground against the pellorite missionaries. Yet, they simply cannot ask the young King Candram II to order their dissolution because they are a powerful force that can be counted with, if the need arise. This, of course, rise some tensions with the neighbor elven and dwarven kingdoms, great allies against the forces of evil should they decide to attack Balviar.

The Zarusians know this, and prepare each day. If a champion of Pelor comes, he meets a warrior of Zarus ready to show who is the stronger. If an apostle of Pelos tries to illuminate souls, a proper Zarus proselytizer ready to meet him in the streets. They must prove that they are the best group of humans and that the humans is the best race. After all, it is the only way the lesser races will obbey them.

Re: Game and Setting information

The way things will work, players/parties will be able to attack neighboring locations (independent cities, bandit towns, other players' locales).
