Hi everyone.  Welcome to the game.

Allow me to state one minor detail.  You will not start as the king or queen of your faction right off the bat.  My original plan was to start you in the middle ranks, put you on a quick mission and promote you to a higher rank, depending on how well you do.  It is possible that you will end up being a member of the court.  Over the course of the game, you can easily take the throne.  Either way, I want you guys to the be the people who make things happen, not the guy who sits in the throne back home while other people work.  Of course, this varies from faction to faction.

Three players added, another 6 still working on RTJs.  This is a good start.  Feel free to start talking to each other.

Hello, everyone!

I've updated the lists of factions.  Right now we have:

A mercenary unit, available for hiring

A flying city from the shadow plane

A pack of animals following a druid

A nomadic tribe of undead

And a city full of monsters

That's not the start I expected, but I should have known how dnder's minds work.  I would prefer that people join the existing factions unless you have a really good idea for your own.

I have a handful of ideas for each factions starting point and I'm working on getting a game map up.

True, you should probably have expected that from DnD players.

Sounds like this is going to be a fun game.

I was doing an NPC faction of monsters and another of undead.  Now I think I'll have an NPC faction of paladins instead.

One other thing, then I'm going to bed, most factions right now have only 1 person.  I've suggested to some of the people who haven't finished their RTJs, that they might want to join one of the existing factions.  One guy might still end up making his own.  The more players your faction has, the better you're going to start out.  If you want to recruit for your own faction in other games you play, I can't really stop you (hint, hint).  I will continue to suggest to people RTJing that they should go ahead and pick a faction instead of creating another new one.

Seriously, though, my faction is primarily made up of Awakened Animals, but we're more than willing to accept people who are willing to help return the world to the pristine natural condition it was in before!

Anyone up for some fun and mayhem? The slaughter of random villages or the corruption of Holier Than Thou Paladins? Want to see what would happen if you fused an elf with a chicken?

I can't seem to sleep today.  My mind is too busy and won't stop.  On the other hand, I have ideas for starting encounters for everyone.  Tomorrow I should be ready to start.  Whoever has character sheets finished by then can join in.  This will give your characters a chance to distinguish themselves as the rising leaders.

The Perish mercs now have 2 members.

why them people want to join the race of shadows and super wizards with flying cities made out of the tops of mountains. Anyone noticed any subtle references yet?
