Re: Delith: The Beginning

Aztar nodded, 'Yes.  I remember when the piece of the comet broke off and fell.  I was very close and one of the first to witness it.  I also remember that you are a child of the comet, but didn't realize that allowed you to channel pure energy.'

'As for the rocks, we've been studying them and figuring out how to safely handle them but haven't figured out how to tap the energy yet.  I came back because with the research we have, Silver was alto chart the positive and negative areas and we might at least figure out how to use the pockets of power to our advantage.'

'So, with Morteft, if they can't block me from the manor, doesn't that mean we could go there and use the mirror to get back to Delith?  After all, the manor is on a plane all it's own.'

In reply to Aztar (msg # 35):

Dualis:"The rocks definitely need to be studied more and with that might also be able to help out Joe.  Besides myself you are probably the best person to do that.  As far as the comet fragment, I may have to move it.  as you know there are plenty of issues with it.

The thing is you can't open a portal into their area, you can get close to it.  The entire plane is not dampened.  But once there, then yes the manor will give you a quick way to get back."

Dualis will go over to Shorty.  "I can't fix your glove but I can fix you up a bit."  Dualis will put his hands on Shorty, mumble something and Shorty is fully healed except for 1 HP.

"There Shorty, how do you feel now?"

Re: Delith: The Beginning

Aztar nods slowly, 'Ah.  Okay.  I was under the impression that it was a big ordeal to get out of there.  As it is, this should only take an hour or so if you can get my close.  Contact him, meet up, and a quick hop through Tully's and the mirror to get home.  Is there something I'm missing?  We should have gone immediately if I'd understood what the situation was.'

Dualis:"I did have much to inform you of and there is still more to share.  But you should go get Morteft and I have things that need to be cleaned up at the capitol.  The king will need to understand what happened as well.  I should also let the Calator delegation what happened too."

Dualis will pull out a Shorty fist size obsidian orb.  "When you are ready I will send you to the edge of the field."

'I was certainly curious what happened and would like to know more,,but I assume the longer he's there the more danger he's in, so we should go and grab him.  Do you want to meet back up when we're back?'

OOC: I assuming you guys are heading out so I'll move on.  If you wanted to do something pressing let me know.

Dualis Teleports you all into a large cave.  It is fairly dark in here but there is enough light to maneuver.  The first you you all notice is yelling coming from in front of you and down the cave.  They are coming toward you.  The words they yell are either orc of goblin.

Actions?

Warwick casts a prayer spell and then draws his battleaxe.  "Right.  These are more my style of vermin than the trolls."

OOC:  How is Warwick's health?

Which is a little difficult since Art is there too and he's about 11' tall.

Art: "Shorty, on this plane they are always fighting.  Only if you show strength will they talk. "  Art pulls out his large scimitar.  "You and I will give them a little scare."

Aztar sighs deeply as he sees they are in a cave and that fighting is inevitable.m he draws Silver and a wand nd watches the other side of the cave to see if any enemy are coming.  If they are, he points the wand and will unleash an acid ball into their midst to get rid of some of the opponents before they arrive.

Given that they are enemies Aztar will launch the acid blob.  It flies down the cave and explodes.  You hear a lot of cursing.

You also notice a small creature flying up near the ceiling, coming at you all.

Re: Delith: The Beginning

Aztar almosts laughs outloud when Morteft shows himself.  For as angry as he'd been at Dualis dropping them in a cave, only to find out that the arch Mage got them this close to him struck him funny.

He wonders for a brief moment if it's him, but can't imagine how someone would be tricking them.  He hopes the mind link is in tact still.  *Warwick, If we have Morteft, there's no reason to stick around.  Can you tell everyone to step back through the portal I'll create.*

Aztar looks to make sure the area is clear and then opens a portal to Tullys mansion, authorizing those he knows to step through.

Can't remember if it works the same in first, but in third only people the Mage allows can go through the portal.

The orcs and goblins are coming forward, about 6 of them.  You can probably get in before they arrive.  Art let's loose a Flame Strike to be sure.

Do you all shuffle in or do you fight the remaining orcs/goblins?

OOC: 1st ed, the portal is open to all, there is no filter.
