In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 5):

Warwick, stunned by the mural and the seeming hubris, open his mouth to say something and then just shakes his head and closes his mouth tight with an audible sound.

He follows Morteft in through the doorway.

Re: Delith: The next step

Aztar watches slightly amused by the others first look at Dualis's tower. It had been awhile since the alchemist had truly looked at the wall and remembered what it represented.

Aztar silently follows into the doorway without a moments hesitation or worry.

In reply to Shorty (msg # 10):

Not many deamons or devils come off the wall but the ones that do, Shorty can swing at; but apparently nothing happens, then vanish in a bright flash of light moments later about 20' away.

The black doorway is still open.

Actions?

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 16):

You are now all in the foyer.  Trinny motions her arms apart.

"Welcome to the outer foyer.  You are some of the few who have ever entered. You will be allowed access to the Library, Lab and dining area which is just thru those doors.  The dining room will have refreshments whenever you want them.  Temporary living quarters have been provided for each of you in the Library.
One word of caution, Dualis has many friends in the base that are, well, not those types of creatures that you typically encounter or in most instances are considered enemies.  So let me assure you there are no enemies here so do not make an aggressive action or the Adamantine golems will attack."  she points at the two at the door.  "Aztar, your lab is fully stocked and Dualis has placed about 10 pounds of the uranium, ah, that is the glow rocks there as well.  Joe is also here and Orkex is helping him cope with his new condition.
So, where would you like to go first?"

Re: Delith: The next step

Aztar smiles a little grin,'I wasn't aware a name had been settled on, but thanks.  Course, I don't have any time to experiment right now, so we'll figure out what everyone needs and the get the items made and get on our way.'

'too bad Joe isn't more trained.  Since his ability isn't magic, he'd probably decimate a golem with that blast of his.'

In reply to Aztar (msg # 20):

Trinny: "We shall go to the Library first then.  Shorty, there isn't much to play with here.  There will be in the Library and Lab."

the to Aztar: "Dualis has set up time dilation in your lab by a factor of 5.  Interestingly enough, Joe may be ready in time.  Orkex can work wonders with the human mind.

Would anyone like any refreshments before heading to the Library?"

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 23):

Trinny: "Very well, we will make our way thru the dining room."  She motions her hand and the large oaken doors split apart and disappear into the walls on either side.  On the other side is a large dining hall, well lit and looks to be at least 80' in length and 40' hight.  The floor is the blackest obsidian but with flecks of quartz perhaps, as you see sparkles of reflected light.  The table is large and ornate, made of cherry as well as the 20 chairs surrounding it.  The walls look to be made of granite, mostly red and white.  On one wall is a large picture of a comet, about 30' x 15'.

Trinny stops by the table "Please come in."  she waits for you to gather close.  "Main Library."  In an instant the scene before you changes.  Now before you is a large library, behind you is a large set of oaken doors and beside those are two large metallic figures.  The library itself is huge.  There appear to be 3 levels, the main level has 5 rows of book shelves on either side of a center aisle.  The rows go back at least 100'.  There are 5 tables before you with several chairs at each.  Off to either side of the room are doors.  You can also make out a door at the far end of the main aisle.  The two levels above appear to be circular and you see book shelves up there as well.

"Welcome to the Main Library."  Trinny announces  "Similar to Tekes in function.  Each side room has a time dilation factor of 5.  Ask for what you are looking for and the librarians shall fetch it.  If you find you have a special need that the librarians cannot manage you can either ask me or Celestron, the master librarian.  He sits in his office on the 3rd level."

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Shorty (msg # 26):

The ball actually stays on the steps, going round and round, even when it looks like it would bounce off.  When the ball gets to the bottom, it rises back up to Shorty.

Off to one side Shorty sees a room,  the room sort of glows from the inside as the walls aren't completely opaque.  The room goes to the edge of the level overlooking the rest of the library.  He's doesn't see a door, but he only sees the one side.

"Either one is good, it is your choice.  You can use one of the rooms with time dilation and any book out here can be retrieved while you are inside."
