Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 83):

Trinny:"Warwick, it occurs that if your weapon was not used in a major battle it may not have been recorded in any book.  Further it occurs that if you Grandfather took part in studying high strength alloys it may have been for a purpose.  A question I would have is, why would he ask to get the Troll Carver back from the hall of relics?"

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 84):

"Ye thinking that this weapon is a rebuilt Troll Carver?  Could be, lass, could be.  Other than asking my Grandfather, I don't know how we'd know.  Unless, lass, ye think ye have an angle on how to find out?"

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 89):

About 15 minutes later a large red heavily muscled humanoid, about 15' tall, looks to have fire for hair and eyes, large teeth and two small horns.  He wears a black leather shirt that shows most of his chest and black leather pants.  You recognize this to be Artharlian, Dualis' efreet friend. He looks around.
"When are you people going get some females in your group?" he pauses but doesn't seem to expect an answer.  "Are you all ready to take a trip to the lab or are you going to chit chat with mini dragon breath?"
Celestron just ignores him.

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 96):

Artharlian just stares at Warwick, "You know I'm around 1000 years old, not much of a 'laddie' there bub.  Alright, all going to the lab gather close."  bellows the efreet.

I assume you all go except for Morteft.

"Lab" says Artharlian and in a blink you find yourselves in an expansive room.  Except for the wall and large double oak doors behind you, the nearest wall is probably 200' away.  What looks to be the far wall is twice that far away.  There are numerous tables and shelves placed around the room, many nearby, the tables are generally filled with all types of glassware.  The ceiling is probably 100' above, you see trees and other flora, you can also see a fairly large pool of water far off in the room.  Behind you again are two large metal statues.

Artharlian says:"Here we are, the Lab.  Nice eh.  Hmmph, took his time getting here."

You look off in the distance and you see something flying toward you, it is thin and long, to thin to be a dragon, almost like a large snake with wings.  As it closes you get a better look, it is a large feathery snake with wings.  It stops and hovers the ground just before you and then morphs into a normal sized human with long silvery gold hair, dressed in colorful robes.  "Greetings, I am Xezetl, the lab manager.  You are free to roam around and use the facilities and if you need anything don't hesitate to ask.  Dualis will be here momentarily."

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 97):

"It's the look, ye understand.  Ye look younger than me."

Warwick looks around the expansive lab and whistles.  And then the whistle dies in his throat as he recognizes the creature approaching.  Giving Xezeti a very deep bow, "Thank you, ma'am."

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 98):

Xezetl: "No need for formalities.  I am also male actually, my slight build could lead you to believe otherwise; no harm done."  he smiles  "As you can see the lab is extensive, there are also private rooms with time dilation, scattered about.  We have numerous live specimens and spell components for all known spells.  Is there anything of interest to you?"  he sees Aztar and smiles

"Ah, master Aztar, how are you sir?  I am surprised to see you here I thought you would be in your lab, out for a stroll?  I made sure your lab was fully stocked this morning."

Aztar chuckles,  'Just trying to form some sort of plan as a group to make it through this next quest.  Gotta find ways to deal with golems and abominations which have rarely been fought.   Could be an interesting couple of days coming up.'

Re: Delith: The next step

In reply to Warwick (msg # 104):

Moments later you see another flying creature in the distance.  This one is large but still much smaller than a dragon.  It looks to have legs and a thick body; however, no wings.  As it comes closer it looks similar to a large horse.  Its coat is golden and there is a large horn on its head.  It comes in for a soft landing next to Xezetl.  It is a very large horse like thing but about half a size bigger than a large battle horse, probably 8' at the shoulder.  Its coat is golden and shines with an inner light.  The horn is silvery and about 2' long.  It then speaks with a deep voice that sounds as if it sings rather than talks.  "Xezetl, the experiment is ready for the next run."  it then looks at the group.

Xezetl:"Ah very good.  Now then, I would like you to meet Korial Astraglide."  he motions to the horse like being.  "Korial, this is Warwick, Shorty and I don't believe you have met Aztar the Alchemist."  Korial nods at you all. "Pleasure."
