Re: Delith:Move out

*I recommend continuing on, though I am still. Bit curious what movement we saw in here.  Seems the image only appeared after we approached, so there may be something else in here.   But, my opinion is to move on and keep an eye out for anything*

Shorty:
In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 86):

Shorty goes up to check out the counter that makes one marble turn into three.

Nothing happens to the 'marble' on the counter, the image says, "Normally we could make a trade but we seem to be under stocked at the moment.  Perhaps when the master gets back."

OOC - I think Shorty meant the gem that Trysk put on the counter and the 3 gems he received as change.

Shorty ignores the banter as he examines the counter.  He reaches into his pouch and pulls out a 100 go gem and places it on the counter to see what happens.

Re: Delith:Move out

In reply to Warwick (msg # 104):

"You are welcome, come again." says the image.  When Warwick closes the door the image disappears.

You start down the main road again toward the tall tower.  You pass Inns, guild buildings and other shops.  The Magic Missile Club, Sage Advice, Holy Words, Adventurer's Rest, Golden Sword Club, Cloak and Dagger and various others.  All look to be in excellent condition but no activity can be seen.  You come to a wide 4-way intersection.  On the other side of the intersection it looks like temples are the main feature.  You see at the side of the buildings, etched in stone, about 15' above street level are names - Main Way, is on both buildings to your right and left.  Across the street facing you are N Broad Street, on left building, S Broad Street on the right.  You can make out the ones on the side of the building facing the street you are going to - Gods Lane.   Gods Lane continues toward the tower.

to help picture the spot

               | | <- Gods Lane
                | |
          ------ --------
       N Broad S Broad
          ------ --------
                | @ |
                | | <- Main Way

                                   @ - you are here

Other than a quick look to make sure there's nothing threatens, Aztar also continues on, wanting to get to their primary purpose as soon as possible.

Re: Delith:Move out

In reply to Aztar (msg # 109):

You all continue on down Gods Lane.  The temples you pass are large and intricate, precious stones and metals can be seen all over the architecture.  Most are constructed of fancy marbles and granites Warwick observes.  You pass many of the deities you know, Norima, Teth and others, further down you see a temple whose architecture is a bit different than the rest, it seems a little more simple but still of master craftsmen.  A sign nearby reads 'To the Dwarven God Reorx, as a symbol of the alliance between Perod the Golden and Dwarves.'

You are about halfway to the tower, nothing but the buildings seem to be around.  The road continues, it appears there is another intersection in about 300'.

Aztar nods,'Fair enough indeed.  I only wanted to check the shop because someone saw movement and I just wanted to make sure we weren't going to be attacked.  I 'm very fascinated by this place but think it best to stay on mission.    And, if anyone else gets distracted, then I'll come back here personally with you while they explore.'

Re: Delith:Move out

In reply to Aztar (msg # 114):

You decide to move on down the road.  You walk to the next intersection, you pass 16 temples in all.  Arriving at the intersection you see the cross street is called Summer Street and across from you begins High Magic Street.   The building look to be shops, inns and bars again.  You continue on, after another 150' or so you come upon an 'official' looking building.  The other buildings give this one a wide spacing, it has a wide stone stairway, about 30', with an intricate stone railing.  They go up about 15', at the top it widens into a platform and just beyond are large metal doors.    The building itself is made of white marble.  On either side of the doors are golem like statues, rather large themselves, each has a white X crossing the chest.  Carved in the stone above the doors in large letters is 'Office Of The Peace'.

The road continues, you can now see the building at the base of the tower.  It looks massive, you are still about 1000' away.
