Re: Delith: A maze

Aztar raises an eyebrow and slightly nods in respect at Shorty's question.  It showed remarkable insight to think about the book and tose that had signed in.  He stared at the man, also having the feeling he looked familiar and tried to recall if he ever caught the man's name.

He waited for Shorty's question to be answered.

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Shorty (msg # 33):

A reunion .. of sorts

The newcomer looks at you all, there seems to be some recollection in his face.  "I know you." he says deliberately.  His voice almost sounds like he is singing when he talks.

"I think I am supposed to show you this."  he pulls out a large gold coin from his pouch.  You recognize it immediately, it is one of Dualis' coins.

"I am Heineken, servant of Thor."

OOC: I took the liberty of introducing Malcolms character.

OOC: That may have been the shortest character in history.

The image of the ghaele fades before you.  It was obviously an advanced illusion, images pulled from your minds.

Re: Delith: A maze

Since we know it was a player that had to bail, probably easier not to dwell on this....

Aztar shrugs,*I'm not sure.  Just best to keep our guard up and continue on.*

In reply to Aztar (msg # 39):

The one thing that some of you noticed was that none of the Dualis coins you had made  any kind of signal, as Dualis mentioned it would, once another coin came into your midst.

Morteft says, "I think we must wander. We can't really leave a trail forever and I suspect even if we do have enough junk to leave behind us, it will disappear. We will have to have faith that we will find what we are after."

Re: Delith: A maze

'This place is a labyrinth and I'm sure not a very simple one.   On top of that, if we find a defeat a guardian and get a key, we only have a limited time to use it before we'll have to go find and defeat another one.    I would be prepared to spend a significant amount of time in these hallways.'

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Morteft (msg # 46):

You begin moving in the direction you were going before the backtrack.  The corridor goes another 30' and turns right.  You believe you have reached an intersection, able to go forward or right.  You would be more sure if the Iron Golem in the intersection was not blocking the path.  However it does not attack, instead a voice deep and grating issues forth.  "Answer me and you may continue"

'I can slumber for many years at a time, my face pointing toward the sky.  Those around me are at peace and do not pay me mind.  But when my belly rumbles they will now fear.  My roar will split the sky, and death sprouts forth from my mouth as I make for them a tomb.  When my work is done again I rest, I can slumber for many years at a time, my face pointing toward the sky.'

"What am I?"

At Trysk's response the golem simply disappears.  You find yourself in the intersection, you can go straight ahead or turn right?
