Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Trysk (msg # 102):

OOC: No, sorry seem to have missed it.

Shorty would not be able to lean over an reach it, he is long enough where he could hold something over it.

It is a somewhat complex mechanism, not a simple lever or switch.

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 103):

Trysk reverts back to his dark elven form on the same plate as Shorty.  He asks Shorty, "Can you hold me over by that wall without stepping on the next plate?  That way I can disarm the trap without setting it off."

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Shorty (msg # 107):

Shorty dangles Trysk over the area he indicated.  Trysk finds the mechanism, it is under a small panel.  There are 3 wires and large metal rod.  He sees that cutting 2 of the wires will interrupt the second trigger.  He does so and hears a satisfying click, the trap is locked, it will not trigger now.

Re: Delith: A maze

Aztar chuckles as shorty starts walking with Trysk.  'It seems like a good idea to keep Trysk towards the front.  If we run into trouble, you can feel free to quickly retreat back, or if sat anytime it seems likely that we'll encounter a fight.  But, I think this place is more about misdirection, puzzles and traps.'

In reply to Shorty (msg # 113):

"Thanks, Shorty."

Trysk takes point, looking for traps and heading in the direction indicated by Aztar.

He will move back to the middle of the party should combat arise.

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Trysk (msg # 114):

Trysk starts to move ahead but it is evident after 15' that the hallway ends in another 15 or so feet.  The other thing you notice is a sound coming from Aztar.  The device Dualis gave him to detect Teleport traps is sounding off.

Re: Delith: A maze

Aztar shakes his head, 'No.  Unfortunately after talking with Dualis, it was felt that any attempt to block or alter the teleport area could have dire circumstances.   If you can't see anyway to disable or bypass it, then we'll have to take an alternate route.'

Re: Delith: A maze

From what little we wear able to discern about this place, the teleporters will send each person to different parts of the labyrinth, completely splitting us up.

Morteft nods. "In that case, let's look for secret doors and then backtrack if we find none."

He will search for secret doors.

If a chest can have an expression, this one does not look to happy about Shorty's idea, all of it's little feet disappear and it lid seems to close tighter.

Re: Delith: A maze

'I don't believe teleporting will get us sny closer to our goal but will get us completely disoriented and unable to back out of this place if we so desire.  Seeing if there are any hidden doors seems like a good idea, but the I suggest back tracking.'

Aztar let's sevyone know its the last 10 feet of the hall and cautions Trysk to not walk much further down the hall.

Re: Delith: A maze

In reply to Trysk (msg # 126):

After looking for a few minutes Trysk determines there are no secret doors; but gets a slight headache as the walls/floor/ceiling have a disorienting affect when observing them closely.
