Shorty looks at his friends and smiles.  Then he looks to Hicks and asks, "How's ken us's helps?"

After the group expresses their support of Shorty, the council remains silent for a moment and then Hicks speaks.  "It is all well and good, the Council is satisfied with the Newbs.  Let the preparations begin.  This council session has concluded."  The 4 others now walk forward to form a straight line in front of you.  Hicks smiles, "Welcome my friends, this is a day of hope in these dark times.  Come meet the council."

Dualis says to you "Go and mingle, meet your hosts."   Kaine goes over and talks with the Nymph.

Warwick pulls at his beard in thought.  "I don't believe I've ever traveled to another world, but I have been in other dimensions.  Please, tell me of this world.  How long has this been happening?"

Hicks smiles at Shorty.  "You did not offend Shorty, a small protocol was broken that was all.  You react from the heart, with good intent.  There is no offense Shorty.
The unicorns are not messengers here, they are part of the noble ruling families.  The druids would tend to use birds for that purpose, owls and falcons mostly."

"Yes, he seems to have a good heart.  Dualis has told us of you all, he speaks well of all of you and the many things you have done on your world.  We are hopeful you can be victorious here as well.
     The trouble you speak of is, it is difficult to say when it actually started.  It was subtle at first, just a few incidents that where outside the norm.  Maybe 10 years later very large problems would arise and then all out war.  where we are at now seemed to come very quickly indeed.  They seems to build up in secret and then attack in force."

Shorty looks around and then moves towards the Nymph.  He bows low and says "Hullo Lady"

Hicks replies :"Ah but I believe a goddess of yours uses owls.  I believe you know one.  He teaches your dragon friend." he then pauses and gives a quizzical look to Shorty's next comment.  "Well yes Shorty, our plan is you and your friends."

As Shorty moves over to the Nymph, Kaine sees his approach and finishes his conversation with a slight head nod.  Kaine nods to Shorty and moves to talk with Hicks.

"Welcome Shorty, welcome to Arcturus." says the nymph in a high pitched but pleasant voice, like a light spring breeze thru the trees.

Trysk nods, "Pleased to meet you, Sherri. No, I am not a 'mainstream' drow and I don't think you would like to meet one of them. Despite their great accomplishments, they are full of chaos and wanton destruction. They would look at you and see lumber or firewood. Are you a treant, by chance, or perhaps something greater?"

Shorty smiles shyly at the Nymph.  "Me glad be here.  Be good place ta saves.  Me like helpin friend like Hicks.  Me hopes bees yer friend too."  Shorty looks around at everyone and then back at the Nymph.  "Make head hurt sometimes ta try figures out stuff.  Always be so not same each time change world.  Dullis world berry different me home.  Dis place bees different too.  Tings me tink me know not bees true here.  So me makes mistake.  But me ken learn ifn peoples tell new way.  Maybes youse ken teach more bouts did new home."

"Hmm, to take an entire world in such a short time is very worrisome.  I feel like maybe we should have brought an army with us."  Warwick stands up a little straighter.  "We will see what we can do to turn the tide."

"Yes, a treant is what I am.  Not sure what greater would be as we are all basically the same.  Not a very nice bunch are the drow then.  How did you escape their fate?"

The unicorn regards Warwick: "We are a young world relatively I am told.  We did not have major cities, large villages, tribal.  Dualis says we were 'easy pickings'.  I do not fully understand his explanation but it happened in a way he imagined.
  An army from your world would have lead to greater conflict.  Small team versus small team it must be.  We are grateful for your efforts.  We hope Shorty will pass the tests for the Green Knight."
