In reply to Shorty (msg # 5):

A little puff when the water hits and the water goes underneath the dust.  For the most part the dust floats on top of the water.

Trysk goes invisible and as he takes to the air, a dust swirl is left in his wake.  The dust/ash falls in on itself leaving a slight depressions where his feet were.

Morteft wakes up. "Sorry, I was thinking about something else."

He looks and tries to calculate the distance. "I could do a teleport no error and get us very close to that dust cloud if we think it is worth it. We could teleport behind them and maybe have an advantage."

OOC: Is he able to determine the distance?

Not able to judge, there are really no features with which to help you gauge distance.  It is pure guess even to the tree line.

Warwick's rise into the air does indeed cause a cloud of dust to follow him, it then blows around and starts to settle again.

In reply to Shorty (msg # 19):

Trysk sends telepathically through the coin, "Everyone, the other cloud is actually six of the enemy. I saw a large bear, not sure who that might be, as well as the fire giant, Ombi and the half-giant, Brugar, riding some sort of large horse-like animal.  Right behind and above them were Nolan the mage on a flying carpet  and the drow, Seelena. Finally, I also saw the death knight or anti-paladin riding a wyvern-like creature."

Trysk hisses telepathically, "They have likely seen our cloud, so do we run, face them and/or set traps?"

Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Warwick (msg # 27):

OOC: Sorry for the delay, taxes and planning european travel was intense.
We will fast forward a little bit.

BIC:

You travel toward one of the nearest line of trees, following as much of a guess as Shortys nose.  As Shorty and Trysk move along the ground they kick up dust - the cloud behind Shorty is fairly large, those flying are staying clear of the cloud.

You make your way up and down a few dust dunes as you go.  The monotony of the terrain, lack of contrasting colors threaten to make you as dull your senses to match your surroundings.  You begin to make out the tops of trees and your spirits lift a little. Coming up over a rise you can see the edge of forest, green and beautiful,  just before you.  However you stop in your tracks, not because of the stark contrast between the dust and the forest but because of 3 figures standing before the forest, about 100 yards away.
In the middle is a medium sized human, he wears plate mail and has dark hair - probably the cleric Fjord - looks to have a weapon in each hand.  On his right is a larger human also in plate mail and wearing a large but dull looking helm.  He also carries a sword.  On the clerics left is a dark figure, every part is black.  It stands there, two gauntleted hands resting on the hilt of a large black sword, point down in the dirt.  The slight shiver you feel gives you little doubt, this is the Death Knight, Driskol.

If there was any doubt to the nature of the dark one, it provides proof.  You notice a small burning ball streaking toward you. Almost simultaneously both Morteft and Trysk yell "FIREBALL!"

You instinctively scatter as you become part of probably the most intense expanding ball of fire you have ever experienced!

Saving Throws
Note : those that are flying gain a +3 to their save.

Actions?  (following saving throw of course)

Warwick attempts to fly up and just manages to get beyond the fireball (I thought he failed his fail, but I forgot to add ring of protection, so he just makes his save).

IOC: shorty fails his save even with the amulaet of fire resistance.

Shorty growls at the flames and reaches into his beeltpouchnto squeeze his rubber ball and then tosses his magic marbles up over his head (iTunesĀ U stones). And then plows twoardsmthe group with a sword in each hand giving his best ogre roar to keep his enemies focused on him
