In reply to Warwick (msg # 79):

Shorty moves forward but stops well short of the figures.  He then takes a knee and places a large hand on the trunk of a tree and says to the figures, “We comes to keep safe da trees.  How’s ken helps?”

In reply to Morteft (msg # 78):

Difficult to tell in shadow.  The big 'animal' to the bipeds left could be a large bear and the one on the right, a horse maybe.

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Shorty (msg # 81):

OOC: I would guess you would all stop with Shorty.

After Shorty's announcement there is a moment of silence, the 3 figures in the shadows do not move.  You would guess at least 10 seconds go by before the middle figure, you believe, speaks.

"Rise."  the voice is deep with a bit of a rumble to it.  "Are you the ones whose coming was foretold?  If so, from whence do you come?"

They move not an inch.  All that can be heard is the sound of the rain.

In reply to Shorty (msg # 86):

Trysk, still watching the fire, interjects, "Yes, we come from Delith and are the foretold ones. Now, can we do something about the fire and the ones who started it?"

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Trysk (msg # 88):

After Trysk speaks, there is still a silent pause of a few seconds.

Then the dark shape in the middle speaks, in a slow monotone.

"You are Short One and friends then, you may approach further."  another slight pause.

Then with no change in inflection:  "The fire is being dealt with dark one.  As far as those responsible, that will be tomorrow."

The three figures still have not moved.

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Warwick (msg # 93):

OOC: Out of the darkness

Everyone moves forward, however the 3 figures stay hidden in shadow, no features can be seen.
When you get to within about 15', you all notice light coming from around from each other.  You all hesitate, wondering what it means, each is encircled in colored light.  You see the following:
      Morteft surrounded by Green
      Shorty surrounded by Brown
      Trysk surrounded by Light Purple
      Warwick surrounded by Light Purple

At which point the figure in the middle speaks in that low rumble.  "Do not worry my friends, you may continue forward.  It is only your true colors.  I am Alannon."

At which point the shadows lift and before you is a tall human in the middle, on his left is a large brown bear and to his right a unicorn.  The man in dressed in robes, with a hood, only his face below the nose is visible, bearded.  He is a large man, about 6'7" and probably around 250 lbs.  No weapons are visible.

Alannon regards Warwick momentarily: "Interesting, I thought a priest would know.  Roughly speaking it reveals your alignment."

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 97):

"Dwarven priest," adds Warwick.  "When we're novices and learning about alignments and auras, we're underground and not using much light.  In Infravision, we don't see colors like that, but shades of color."

OOC:  LOL!  Is there actually some place that defines the colors for alignment?

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 97):

Shorty grins at the bear and gives it a good scratch around the ear.  To show his thanks, he brings out his magic food platter, thinks for a moment and opens it to reveal a large fresh river trout which he offers to the bear.

In reply to Warwick (msg # 99):

OOC: Not completely.  If you have 'In Search of the Unknown' Module B1, there is some of that in there.

Alannon responds:"Human priest, elf priest, dwarf priest ... no distinction for me."

OOC:  I don't think I can remember that far back in time.  LOL!

Warwick chuckles.  "Fair enough, although those of us who are one of those, feel a bit differently.  But, that's not a matter that we need to tackle today.  We came to help, but we didn't do so well in our first encounter with them."

The bear will briefly sniff the trout and then consume it in one bite.  The bear will then lick Shorty's hand.
