Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 129):

Warwick sighs.  "Oh, lad.  We're here to make sure that doesn't happen.  It will be to our last breath as well, should that happen."

Warwick looks at the others.  "Just like Shorty, lads.  Every last bit of magic ye have, we use.  Unless we win, there's no day after for us."

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Warwick (msg # 130):

"I am indeed grateful for the help."  replies Alannon, he watches Shorty in his little ritual.

At this point most of you have started to notice, with varying degrees, a feeling of warmth spread thru you.

OOC: I have sent some private messages, not sure if you have gotten a notice that you have one.

Warwick bows to the druid.  "Thank ye, lad."

OOC:  For some reason, the system isn't notifying me about private messages...

In reply to Warwick (msg # 132):

Shorty looks up from his sorting and stares for a moment at the special tree and then turns to stare at the druid.  "Me thanks to Drud or tree.  Not knowing who.  But feels much betters."  Shorty then gives himself a good scratch.

OOC:  Not sure if I am seeing them or not.  It used to indicate Private messages but all my notices just say Delith Adventures

In reply to Shorty (msg # 133):

OOC: The notification things seems to be hit or miss, oh well.

Alannon nods to both Warwick and Shorty.

"We shall meet our foe at the edge of the wood at the crack of dawn.  They will be ready and perhaps over-confident, which could give us an initial advantage.  Please eat and rest so you can be at full strength for tomorrow.  Are there any other questions?"

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 134):

Shorty gets to his feet and hand the Druid and Warwick a blue stone. “Throw in air over head.  Make better magic.”  Shorty the. Looks at his other two companions and hold out the red and blue one.  “Not know who use best.  Make head hurt.  Birdie says smarter but me not like so much.”

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Shorty (msg # 135):

Morteft says, "Good idea, Shorty. Do any of you have any wizardry capability? I have some wands."

He digs through a pouch. "I also have some extra rings. Two that provide protection. One that stores some spells...it has haste, cone of cold and fireshield in it. That would be a good one for you, Shorty, if you aren't wearing two rings already. I have another that will allow someone to cast lightning bolt and shocking grasp. Anyone want them?"

He thinks. "I also have a lot of potions and scrolls. Maybe we should share those. I also have a rod of cancellation. If we can figure out their most powerful magical item, it would help if we can use it against it."

Alannon speaks up after Morteft's Rod of Cancellation remark.  "That would be their cleric.  He was one of the three you met at the edge of the forest.  His rod is intelligent, very powerful."

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Shorty (msg # 139):

Morteft nods. "The ring that stops you from falling down is good, but probably won't be that useful in the coming battle. I would recommend the spell ring. You can make a shield of fire on you that will injury your enemies. You can also double your speed with it so that you can attack more. Do you want it? You can keep the ring that stops you from falling for later."

He thinks and says, "This ring of protect is as good as wearing a suit of scale mail. It will also protect those who are within five feet of you. Is your ring as good as that?"

Trysk volunteers, "I can use my stealth to use the Rod of Cancellation on the cleric's rod. I also have a Ring of Wizardry to lend you, if you think you can use it more effectively than me. It doubles 4th and 5th order spells."

In reply to Trysk (msg # 142):

As the conversation lessens, Alannon remarks:

"You may begin to notice, as you have consumed some of the food and drink of my sanctuary along with breathing the rich air, you will find that you now have the same regenerative ability as the common troll.  How long this will last .. is unknown, given you are out worlders; however it should still be with you by the beginning of battle at least."

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Morteft (msg # 146):

Alannon looks around and sees the group is winding down, he says:
"You may sleep anywhere around the glen, you will be safe for tonight."

You all find yourselves falling asleep fairly easy.

At some point Alannon awakens you all early in the morning.

"It is near time, prepare yourselves"  You see Alannon has changed his attire; he wears a form of breastplate, appears to be of wood.  He also has a scimitar in a scabbard on his waste."

Actions, prep?

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 147):

Shorty straps on his armor and adjusts everything.  He then places his saber tooth cat figurine on the ground and calls it forth.  He points to the special tree and says, "Bad Peoples comes here.  Not lets dem get tree.  Yous keep safe.  Only dis group come to tree.  Okay?"

Shorty then turns and joins the group.  He tosses his two marbles up into the air over his head (Healing and spell absorption).  Shorty points to his belt at his hairy elephant figuring.  "Ride or no Ride?"

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 149):

Warwick clears his throat.  "Right, gather round while I cast some spells to help us all."  Once everyone is close, he casts Prayer and Bless upon the party.

"Okay, those should last a while."

He then casts Negative Plane Protection upon himself and Shorty.  He tosses up the blue ioun stone above his head.

He also summons an Earth Elemental.  When it arrives, he has it wait.  "I plan to summon a fire elemental with me ring when we get closer.  They like to use fire, it would seem, but let's see how they like it on them."

Re: Delith:To Save a World

In reply to Trysk (msg # 152):

OOC: Before we actually commence battle you can do any last minute adjustments.

Alannon makes a few grunts and you see animals come out form in the trees and behind them and move to his hut.  The bear and the unicorn also move back toward the hut to take up guard positions.

Alannon then says to you all.  "We will move to the edge of the forest to engage them initially.  They will be waiting for us but we shall have an initial advantage.  Remember even if you take damage to where you would normally die, you will only be unconscious till your healing powers bring you around.  Also, do not be alarmed at some of the things you may see, those fiends will come to know the wrath of a Hierophant."

Alannon takes a breath "Let's be off."

Next: Battle lines

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 153):

You walk thru the forest back toward where you entered the day before.  You hear footfalls, mostly from Shorty, but not much else.  You notice that there is no wildlife activity, no birds flying, or even visible, no small mammals or lizards scurrying about; it just seems to be you 5.
You get closer to the edge and you see the smoke of a recently extinguished fire.  You also see 5 dark figures, standing and facing you - some are darker than others.  Two of them are huge.  You do not have full line of sight with the trees so the others may be standing there as well.  You are also not sure if they see you yet - none have moved.

Alannon stops: "Here the battle begins, do what you normally would do and I will work in with it.  They are all there, some are behind others, one is invisible.  If you see summoned creatures, just look for a silver band around their head or arms and you will know they are from me.  They will wait for you to attack.  It is your lead."

Alannon motions his hand forward.
