Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Trysk (msg # 158):

Morteft casts stoneskin and invisibility on himself. He activates mind blank on himself.

He also uses the immunity feature of his ring to protect himself from fireballs, disjunction and anti-magic shell.

He activates the rod of alertness.

He prepares to use energy control if it is needed.

Finally, if there is time, he will cast tongues from a scroll on himself and then another on Warwick.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Warwick (msg # 161):

Warwicks Fire Elemental appears next to the other group.  It is firm for a few seconds and then starts to waiver and flicker, it continues doing this for a few more seconds and then is snuffed out.

Those with infravision can make out 8 shapes, 3 of which are somewhat small compared to the others; kind of like blobs in the back row.  They still have not moved but you can tell the warriors of the group looked prepared.  The Death Knight can be seen as a dark figure in the dark.

Trysk is not able to detect anything invisible.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Shorty (msg # 163):

Morteft says, "If they do not want to come to us, then that means that they want us to approach them. Considering the elemental's fate, I think we should not approach them. Nor waste any magic. I suspect they have an anti-magic shell and other protections in place. Is anyone able to cast earthquake? Or create natural effects?"

OOC: Is the ice from an ice storm magical or real?

In reply to Morteft (msg # 164):

OOC: I consider the hail to be real.

The Ice Storm falls about them, the giant kind swat at them, the mage, cleric and death knight do nothing but stand, they seem unaffected.  The anti-paladin puts his shield above him.  The Ice Storm did get thru to at least some.  You can hear them laugh.  "That was a brief winter." you hear one say.

Shorty stops short before getting into melee and then gestures at the one he fought the day before.  The warrior that Shorty has his sites on just waves Shorty forward.  "Come on big boy, I have something for you and your toy elephant."

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Warwick (msg # 174):

OOC: Cleaning up is sometimes not worth it .. cannot find stuff afterward.  Books found, moving on.

The early morning air is still, perhaps not as still as the two parties as they wait for the other to engage.  The one fighter who struck Shorty the day previously is about the only movement, as he taunts Shorty with various hand gestures.

Shorty retrains himself and his mammoth on the edge of the forest, while the rest are slightly deeper in.  Alannon has his eyes closed and those near him can see his mouth move slightly as if mumbling.  His eyes pop open.  "Beware" he says in hushed tones.

Most of you feel it, those who have psionic talent.  A wave of mental energy rolls over you.

You hear slight grunts from both Morteft and Trysk.

OOC: there will be some private messages

OOC:  No private messages that Shorty sees.

Shorty decides its time to provide some encouragement.  He reaches into his bag and pulls out a nice sized rock.  He eyes the fighter from the day before and then shrugs.  Packed together as they are there are many good possibilities.  Shorty hurls his rock at the fighter.  (16 hits AC -8  for 13 points).

Alannon responds to Warwick.  "No, none.  The power of the mind is a beautiful natural thing."  he takes a deep breath.  "Your friends minds will be turned to mush, we cannot let that happen, I will call upon some friends. You should prepare to attack."

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Shorty (msg # 177):

OOC: The private ones went to Morteft and Trysk.

Shorty hurls his boulder, it makes a nice arc toward the fighter; however jumping in front and intercepting the boulder is the fire giant known as Obmi.  He makes a nice two hand grab (dropping his sword in the process), smiles and throws the rock back at Shorty, it becomes a flaming ball on its return flight.

However Obmi slipped a bit in the wet ground and the throw toss is off the mark, landing near Shorty but remains a flaming ball.

He moves to retrieve his sword - you also hear one of them say.  "Get your sword you moron."
