Sir Joshua continues, picking up the helm this time.  It is a plain steel helm.  He turns it around a few times.  "The Helm of War." he says  "Has similar affects to the Ring of Ruthlessness as it also increases the physical prowess of ones strength, dexterity and constitution by a factor of 3.  Very potent item itself.  The warrior had both, yes.  This is why he was so dangerous.  All his physical attributes were beyond those of a humans physicals limits and he was godlike in each."  he puts it back in the trunk  "One more thing, the Helm has no adverse affects."

"By factor of three, he means it increases those things by 3.  So your strength, dexterity and constitution increase by 3.  I don't know what the glove did, lad, but if the helm let ye fly, I'd take it."

Sir Joshua nods at the explanation Warwick gives.

Looking into the trunk Sir Joshua moves on to the mace.  "Right, now the mace." he picks it up, gives it a quick once over.  "This mace is special, not that it is sentient but in the power it conveys.  While holding it the mace acts as a Ring of Wizardry except for clerics; a Ring of Divinity as it were.  In this case it will double the wielding clerics first thru fourth rank spells.  A wonderful item for the priest, of course it is also +4 in power."

"Hmm," mutters Warwick.  "Ain't never used a mace before.  The spells part would be nice.  It's no more powerful than me axe for hitting things, but if I could shrink it and wear it around me wrist, would that be the same as wielding it for the purposes of having access to the spells, I wonder?"

Sir Joshua looks at the remaining item, the Pills of Wonder.  "These 'pills' I have never encountered and only know by rumor.  I cannot provide any useful information regarding them." Sir Joshua mentions.

Dualis speaks up  "I can update everyone on the Pills of Wonder."  Dualis will pick up the pills .. which are in a small case (hand sized).

"The Pills of Wonder"  he begins "function in a similar way to the Wand of the same name as that a variety of effects can happen at activation.  In the pills case it will always affect the consumer, akin to taking a potion, and the effect could be beneficial or adverse.  The effects I have been able to determine some of the effects, such as raise or lower an attribute, bestow an ability such as spell casting or psionics .. redundant in most your cases, act as a Haste spell, perhaps disease or even grant a wish.  All effects are temporary although there is a very small chance of permanency.  Could be useful in a pinch."

Warwick looks to Dualis and then to Shorty and chuckles.  "Aye, that'd be a possibility.  And that's just the way I learned to use me axe, Shorty.  Very well, I'll take the mace.  Dualis, I don't suppose ye could enchant the Helm of War to make the wearer fly as well, could ye?"

"As far as adding power to an enchanted item"  he continues  "very difficult, could destroy the item you want to enhance.  There are some devices known to be able to accomplish the enhancement, needing to sacrifice other magic to complete the process.  Ultimately very dangerous as well and I do not want to go thru that again."

You look back towards the front of the field and it is covered in mist, actually almost the entire field is covered, even the stands.

Dualis replies to Trysk's question  "Not on this world.  As far as Delith, sure.  I have some personal ones and I know of at least one other.  Although it is not a place that one could easily reach and probably be fairly dangerous."

"There are at least 3 other personal items that provide that, boots, a ring and a cloak.  Of course Boots of Striding and Springing might get you the height you desire."  Dualis smiles
