You are about 40 yards away from their group.  Shorty is a bit closer, more like 25 yards and at the forest edge.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 182):

Shorty is beginning to enjoy this.  Especially the fire giant.  He laughs loudly as the giant picks up its sword.  After a moments thought, Shorty pulls out his water bottle.  He uncorks it and aims the bottle at the fire giant and invokes the firehose stream of water at him.  (OOC:  Not sure how you want to roll to determine who actually gets wet.)

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Shorty (msg # 183):

Shorty uncorks his bottle and attempts to wet the fire giant and anyone else who may get in the way.  Unfortunately the gushing stream of water comes up, well, short.  It travels maybe 25 feet in the air and then splashes on the ground about 20' from the nearest enemy, the half-giant Brugar.  A little mud gets splashed onto to his nice shiny armour at which he yells obscenities at Shorty; at least that is what you thinks he is yelling.

Other Actions?

If none this will close out a somewhat uneventful round 1.

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 184):

Second round begins, again not much movement on either side.  You have heard a few grunts from you companions but not much else.

Suddenly, behind the other group, two huge figures erupt from the ground.  One is a Earth Elemental, at least 20' tall and the other is a Water Elemental again at least 20' tall!  These elementals are much larger than the normal summoned elementals.

The other group scrambles into action, the Death Knight, Anti-Paladin, Fire Giant and drow continue to face your direction while the others go after the new comers.

Alannon speaks: "Now is the time to attack."

Actions?

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 185):

At the Druid's command, Shorty squeezes his ball three times and spurs his mount into a charge and the enemy ranks with both swords at the ready.

OOC: Will roll when I know who steps forward to meet Shorty.  Size matters with a giant in the mix.

Can Trysk see the cleric?

If so, is his rod visible?

Trysk moves in closer, but is biding his time until the cleric begins casting to strike.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Trysk (msg # 188):

The cleric is visible and you can see both rod and mace that he holds.  He is facing the Earth Elemental.  The half-giant is also attacking the Earth Elemental and is of the far side away from you.  The wizard is kind of in the middle and the the other warrior is attacking the Water Elemental.

You still cannot see the final member of the group, the Psionicist.

OOC: All psionic attacks/defenses have been concluded this round.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle lines

In reply to Shorty (msg # 191):

None are moving toward Shorty during his charge.  Shorty clears the trees, starts down the shallow decline towards the 4 who face toward your direction, closing the distance at a decent speed.  You think you see a slight smile from the drow .. and then a deep terrifying voice fills the air.  You hear the word 'Die' and suddenly Shorty's world becomes a spinning, falling mass of arms and legs.  He lands heavily on the ground, splashing slightly in the moist ashen ground.  He rolls and slides to within 20' of the 4 adversaries.  The drow's grin becomes a chuckle, a high pitched whine of joy and malice.  Luckily Shorty avoids impaling himself on his swords and maintains a hold of them.  He struggles to his feet while the fire giant moves in, making the distance in 2 strides.

Warwick moves quickly to help Shorty, with the Earth Elemental lumbering behind, he will not make it in time to engage before Shorty is attacked.

OOC:  I will pause here to allow for Morteft and Trysk to adjust their strategy, if they want, since they have not committed to any action yet.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle line

In reply to Shorty (msg # 195):

One thing I glossed over is what happened to Shorty's mammoth.  It sort just disappeared out from under him which is why he tumbled.

The Fire Giant will get initiative over Shorty.

OOC: Psionics are apart from magical/physical attacks, a separate phase; so after psionic moves melee/magic moves may be done as well.

Morteft's missiles slam into the Giant; but they seem little more than wasps to him as he barely reacts.

The Giant reaches Shorty and attacks, his sword flames as he swings it.  Hits Shorty 3 times for 86 damage.  Shorty may attack.

The Anti-Paladin will step in the way of Warwick as he charges - Warwicks elemental follows

Trysk will find it tricky to get close to the cleric stealthily as there is a bit of action around him as he is engaged with the elemental along with others.

OOC: It occurs I will need to map this out so everyone gets an idea where everything is.
Do not like doing the ascii thing so I will see what I can do.

OOC:  I will work up Shorty's attacks after dinner tonight.  The kids are hungry and want their home made Pizza.  Is any of the damage Shorty is taking due to the fire?  Shorty has significant fire protection.

Shorty smiles sadly at the giant and says, Neber does thinks much giants.  All hits likes girls."

Shorty moves in leading with his black blade which he unleashes to its full potential (OOC:  50 percent damage gained as life).  Shorty swings

Black 19 hits AC -19 for 30 points
Troll Slayer 7 hits AC -6 for 28 Points
Black  9 hits AC -9 for 31 points
Troll Slayer 16 hits AC -15 for 34 Points
Black 16 hits AC -16 for 31 Points

OOC:  Shorty will really have to search for the figurine if he gets a chance.  Loosing the only mount that can carry him will hurt and he loves his toys.

As Warwick gets within twenty feet of the anti-paladin, he jumps and using his helm of flight, leaps and twists so that he's facing the back of the anti-paladin as he lands.  He will swing his axe and hold up his shield to absorb the attack he knows is coming.

He orders the elemental to attack the anti-paladin as well.

Re: Delith:To Save a World:Battle line

OOC: OK, I finished the initial grid, each square is 5'x5'.  Take a look and let me know if it works well enough for you all.  Your character positions are your characters picture.  I do not show Alannon, he is off screen at the moment.  No one actually knows where Trysk is at the moment, I placed him in there for the look.

It is a game map for group 0, the current group.

I show the tree line at the bottom.

I tried to do relative size.  The 2 elementals at the top are the biggest

Each baddy I tried to get a representative pict.  From left to right, top to bottom.

Fjord, cleric; Brugar 1/2 giant; Nolan, mage; Pax, fighter

Driskol, Death Knight;  Skarzol, Anti-Paladin;  Obmi, Fire Giant;  Seleena, drow

Thryme, the psionicist, is nowhere to be seen.
