Delith: Against the Giants

Shorty looks at Ez’ard and shakes his head.  His friends obsession with little pieces of metal concerns him.  There were no marbles after all.  Shorty trys to figure out how bulky the bags are.  The weight is not the problem.  *Gib magic bag back ta Baby.  It bees him pillow.  No sure how muches fit in backpack.*  Shorty takes a bag and puts it in his backpack.  He will load in what fits.

In reply to Shorty (msg # 5):

The bags are fairly large (giant size) and bulky, not something to easily carry.  The jewelry is easily stored in a pouch.

Will assume you leave most of the gold.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 4):

The ledge continues SW for about 80' and then turns full south for another 80'.  When it turns full south is also when the crevasse widens to about 100' wide.  You can still make out some kind of ledge on the other side of the crevasse.

At the end of the ledge you are on you can see the north section of the other ledge where you caught the giant, which is about 40' away over the crevasse.

You also see an opening to the east (left).

Actions?

In reply to Trysk (msg # 9):

The opening opens up almost immediately into a 'room', it is roughly circular about 40' in diameter with and arm like extension to the NE.  There is an opening to the south, looks to go into another open area.

Looks to be a small opening in the arm to the NE.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 11):

The 'room' to the south seems to be a warning to unwelcome guests.  It is a somewhat grisly scene as there are 8 mutilated corpses frozen in blocks of ice.  There are 2 dwarves, 4 humans an elf and a half-elf.  One dwarf still has a battle axe and one human is still wearing armor.  The elf was probably a mage as there is a wand case at its feet and a human holds a scroll tube.  Another human wears a jeweled belt - looks very valuable.  They all appear to have some sort of valuables left on them.

The main part of the 'room' is about 40' in diameter.  There is an arm similar to the other 'room' and is empty.

Trysk scans for evil and magic using his rod. He then starts looking for secret doors.

He tells the others, *Corpses in the south room. Seems clear, though.*

OOC - Ron, no obvious exits except where we came in from, right?

In reply to Trysk (msg # 15):

That is correct, no other exits in the south, no secret doors.

No evil; as far as magic, battle axe with the dwarf is magical, scroll the human holds, a ring on one of the other humans, and the armor on the human warrior are magical.

The opening in the NW arm of the first 'room' is to a tunnel.  Some light yips and yaps can heard somewhere within, not in line of sight.  The tunnel does curve off and cannot see beyond the curve.

OOC - Ron, what is the height of the ceiling in the arm?

Most of the ceilings to the tunnels are about 20+ feet high, the 'rooms' so far about 30-40 feet high.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 22):

*Are we set on this direction, then?* asks Warwick.  *Depending on how long the kennels go, we might need more than one silence spell to avoid raising a ruckus that brings giants.  Morteft, are ye ready to toss a fireball or two if the situation warrants it?  We also might be wanting to end our incursion for the day should the next room prove too much.  In which case, we use our amulets to return to our rooms at the dwarven palace.  Agreed?*

While waiting for agreement, Warwick also broadcasts further to include Trinny.  *Lady Katrina, will ye be joining us soon or will ye be returning to the Palace?*

Shorty moves around Warwick and gets closer to the opening.  He listens carefully to the yapping of the dogs.  He wonders if he can understand them like he does the ones from his new hope.

OOC:  Sorry left early today on an all day date with my wife.
