Delith: Return to the Unknown
In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 13):
Morteft says, "No, the fighters have to be the grinders. Let's face it folks, wizards and thieves can't deal with golems. The fighters have to go in and stand toe-to-toe with them. What I would suggest is that we get some good admantium or mithril weapons similar to your current weapons and use them in an anti-magic shell. The only way to deal with a golem is to do physical damage. These two golems are simpatico, so the power of one will heal the other. So, if the anti-magic shell does not work, then we MUST separate and deal with them one at a time."
He pauses. "This means we start with a test. We see if anti-magic shell will work against them. If it doesn't we have to deal with the disintegration one first. We can use summoning and the like to do so. So, let's start by going there, I will cast anti-magic shell and move forward to see if it works. If it doesn't, then maybe I get disintegrated. If it does, then the fighters move forward and chop them up with disposable but very hearty metal weapons. If that fails, then we need to use a combination of passwalls and wall of force to split them up. Sound like a start of a plan? If so, let's go to Delith. I know of a Dwarven weapon maker who can provide very good weapons."
