A humble ant is a near mythical creature who could destroy artifacts with the heel of its foot.

We met one on Arcturus that destroyed an evil recovered from a minion of Set.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 857):

Celestron is willing to look at the magic items once you take them all out.  The gems are an excellent quality.  There is no Jewlery.  The six gems are part of a set.  The cuts and facets match each other .  Three are worth 5000, 2 at 6000 and one at 8000 GP

OOC:  If you plan to have Celestron look at it all, I will uodate the treasure list accordingly sometime tomorrow.  I have a 13 year old girl celebrating her BDay in the morning.  Turning teenager is supposed to be a big deal.

The order changes after each adventure. Last adventure it was:
Ez'ard
Shorty
Warwick
Morteft
Trysk

This adventure it's:
Warwick
Morteft
Trysk
Ez'ard
Tzar

Shorty would normally have gone first, but he didn't go on the adventure. That being said, he would retain his first pick next adventure (just ahead of Morteft).

Ok, that works. So Warwick is head of the line and Shorty would be first next time.

In reply to Morteft (msg # 870):

Celestron watches as you spread out your haul.  There are a few comments about junk and a couple of Hmmms.  Then he leans over the two daggers and sniffs.  "I will not touch those unless they and what is in the sheaths is neutalized first."  Then he sends you all to the showers, dinner, and bed while he begins his work.

Sleep in a read bed is nice and Ez'ard returns in the middle of the next morning.

OOC:  As I can, I will begin updating the treasure list.  BDay party is beginning.

In reply to Trysk (msg # 872):

The first dagger has three small diamond inset in the hilt.  They are okaced ub a triangular pattern.  A similar set of three diamonds is set in the sheath.  A thick liquid appears to have been poured into the sheath.

The second dagger has 4 small diamonds inset into the hilt in a diamond pattern.  There is a similar set of 4 stones on this sheath.  A thick liquid of a different collor has been poured into that sheath.

Trysk can't see any way to clean the blades or the interiors of the sheath except with magic.  A spell would be needed to neutralize the poison or perhaps clense the sheaths.  The blades can be easlily cleaned but will be contaminated again once they return to the sheath.

Trysk will clean each dagger, but place them next to their respective sheathe so that Celestron can examine them.

Re:  Delith-1a:To catch assassins

In reply to Morteft (msg # 877):

Once the daggers are clensed, Celestron picks them up one at a time.  He seems intrigued by them..  He raises a hand a a book on femology flies into it.  He flips a couple of pages and grunts in satisfaction.

There are two inchantments in play here.  He holds up the dagger with the triangle pattern on it.  By itself, this is just a +3 dagger.  His little fingers touch the three gems on the hilt and the matching gems on the sheath.  These 3 diamonds were heavily enchanted.  Then, they were splite by a master jewler straight through the heart of each stone.  One half of each stone is in the hilt and the other half in the sheath.  They call to each other desireing to be whole again.  It is a master piece of work.  Celstron points to the dagger with the diamond pattern.  That is a +4 dagger.  The gems on it were worked the same way.  Both daggers will always return to their sheaths as long as none of the gems are removed.

Celestron pauses for a moment and points to the rune stones.  Those runes are at least a thousand years old.  The language is dead and few except dragonkin know it at all.  Those must be worked into the stonework of whatever location you wish to protect.

Lastly he points to the three playing cards.  Those are commonly called escape cards.  A spell of transportation is worked into each.  They will take one or more people to a predetermined location.  I will not attempt to read the langauge they are written in.  And even if I did, I woulnot know what location they correspond to.  Tear the card in half and it will take you whereever the assassin wanted to go.  It is unlikely to be a safe place for such as you.

Trysk says, "A couple of things before we start picking.

1) I think the rectangular prism should be paired with the manacles, since it's the key to unlocking them.

2) Are we planning on continuing to use Dualis' place as our base of operations or establishing our own base?

3) Is anyone thinking about building a ship?

4) Does anyone have an issue if I keep the gems and just pay each of you your share in gold?"

Re:  Delith-1a:To catch assassins

In reply to Morteft (msg # 880):

Celestron drops a parchment on the table.  The Eye of Imit is very old and it is not native to the land where you found it.  It was a Norse item That has traveled quite a bit since the death of Imit.  It is quite intelligent and has a significant ego.  The legends say that it is not evil.  Actually it appears to be Lawful Neutral.  It is also rumored to have gone totally insane when it was cut from Imit after his death.  Jt has sought justice or vengence for at least a thousand years.  It has used the Sea serpeant call the Iku Turso for much of that time as a tool in its revenge.  It begame know as the Eye of the Deep.  I will not touch the eye, but based on the tales I have read, the following powers I have written here are attributed to the Eye.

Summon Water Element 1 per day 14 hd
Wall of Water 4 per day can manipulate like wall of force
Water Wave 3/day 20 foot wave
Ice Storm 2/day
Freeze Water unlimited mostly its own walls of water
Can move water at will ie cause it to slowly flow from point to point (concentration)
Unless removed from the body, the eye will resurrect the host at dawn each day

In reply to Trysk (msg # 884):

Celestron shrugs his little shoulders at the question about the Eye.  Prophesy says that it will be healed when it is reunited with Imit.  Shorty of that, I have no idea.

As for the ear ring, I cannot track the communication link.  Without using it, you cannot know how much it will reveal to you.  I suspect that it is simply mental communication.  But there is a chance that it will allow you to see more.  But if it does, it will also provide him the same information.

Experience Points.  Not sure what system Ron or Matt uses for Experience.  I ran the hit die and the multipliers from my old tables.  I only applied regeneration bonuses to those Dark Ones that got to regenerate.  Several were turned to ash without regenerating.

Per person:  98,610
Standard bonuses for spells used, etc.

Trysk get a bonus 5000 for the strength he has lost.  Note.  That loss has not been repaired yet.
