Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Warwick (msg # 24):

Tzar shrugs "Training is training, refining what you already know, and in some cases what you don't think you know but actually do know, you just don't know but after will know it for sure."  he smiles.  "I will see you after you've refreshed yourself."

Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 25):

Each of you go off and do some personal stuff Shorty (after reading a little) and Ez'ard head off to Arcturus.  Warwick goes off for a bath (do dwarves do that - being salt of the earth...) and get something to eat.  Morteft does a few things before heading out and Trysk chats with Ez'ard before doing his thing else where.

Warwick returns to the Library 2 hours later.  Tzar is looking at a manual 'To Twain or not to Twain.'

OOC: You may all still present in 2 hours time .. Shorty is a slow reader .. so I will include you all.

Dualis, Celestron and Art are off in a nearby section of the Library, chatting.

The main door to Library opens and in walk two people.  The first is a knight, you recognize the Paladin named Zargon and the other looks exactly like Dualis.  The one who looks like Dualis exclaims "Success!"

At the entrance of the two new comers, Tzar looks up, drops the book and quickly stands to attention.

Actions?

Warwick looks carefully at the manual Tzar is reading.  "Is that a book about me axe?" he asks, curious.

He forgets his question when the doppelganger of Dualis shows up.

In reply to Shorty (msg # 31):

"No Shorty." says the Dualis at the door "There is the one that knows and the other thinks he knows."  Dualis (door) speaks to Dualis 1 "Dulles, you can go back to the Lab."  The Dualis (Dulles) that was talking to Celestron and Art says "By your command." and then he walks out of the Library.

Zargon laughs a bit and the 'real' Dualis says "Yes Morteft, a simulacrum; however a greater simulacrum.  He watches over things if we all need to go out for any reason."

Zargon gives a high wave to Shorty.  "Greetings Shorty.  You look quite tired.  I heard about your trial, fine job to overcome."

He then starts walking over to Warwick and Tzar.  "At ease Tzar, we are not formal here." Tzar relaxes and says "Right, thank you Captain." and he sits down.  Then to Warwick, "So Lord Warwick, are you ready to start training.  You and Tzar can start tomorrow."  "Yes sir!" Tzar pipes in.

Dualis then says.  "The Hell issue is pretty much sorted out. Ptah ruled in my favor."

Filled wine glasses or mugs of ale or the persons favorite beverage appears next to each of you .. hovering in the air.

Then he looks carefully at Tzar and shakes his head.  “Hows come youse so scarit ta marry dat girl?   Ez’ard say she berry nice.  No like her bees ogre gonna hits youse all a da times.  Ez’ard say youse no marry cause youse Captain maybeso no like it.  Zargon berry nice.  Him lets your go see dat purty girl.”

Shorty glances at Zargon, "Ez/ard day her gots betty nice tail."

In reply to Shorty (msg # 35):

Zargon says to Warwick "It is what I agreed to do for Dualis, help in training his teams.  The warriors anyway and Tzar needs to train as well so I can do both at the same time."

Zargon walks over to Shorty and speaks before Tzar can say anything.  "It is the way of our world Shorty.  Tzar is betrothed to another.  My best friends daughter who is also the sister of our king.  He cannot just toss that away because of one girls infatuation .. uh, has the hots for him.  It would be dishonorable."

Dualis says to Zargon: "Good luck with that my friend."  then to Morteft, "Yes, it is impressive.  Unfortunately Dulles did not have the power to deal with Shorty's situation, close, but it was really an Arcturus issue in any event.  It actually made my case against the Arch-Devils a little tenuous, him dropping in on Hell and the market.  Caused quite a ruckus."  he shrugs "But, that is what Shorty's do."

Shorty gives Dualis that look he has many times before.  The patient one that says that someday Dualis might understand.  Then he stares at Zargon.  “Youse bees knight like me.  Dat beens gots…”  Shorty searches for the word he needs then finds it.  “Got faith.”  Shorty reaches out a finger to gently touch Zargon’s forehead.  “Beliebin not up here id youse head.”  Shorty boves the finger down to Zargon’s chest.  “Beliebin hees here in youse heart.  Lub also come from da heart.  No from da heard.  Me knowed dat now.  Maybeso King no so smart ifn no knowed dat.”  Shorty shrugs and moves towards the door looking for Ez’ard.  “No knowed what hots bees, but maybeso no bodies dis place ken knowed what bees in her heart.  Ceptin maybeso Tzar.  An eben ogre knowed better den take mate dat somebodies else pick fer yourse.”

Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Shorty (msg # 37):

OOC: Larry got his last one out just before I hit post, so it would be prior to his message

Zargon looks at Shorty with compassion as one would a child. "Betrothal has work on our world for many generations and love typical grows in it.  Now, love is something that cannot be defined, truly, it is a force that affects beggar and king alike.  Scholars are deified by it, the commoner is baffled by it.  Love and other things can produce the similar feelings, so what is truly love?  I cannot say as it may be different for me then for you."  Zargon then pats Shorty on the arm  "With all due respect Shorty, my experience with ogres, they just take what they want and there is no love there, not what I call love.  And their protection of what they have may seem like caring, but it is more so, don't try to take what is mine. Again that is not love to me."  he pats Shorty again "You are different my friend, because you have a different influence in your life."

Tzar will come over to Shorty and greet him since they have not met before. "Greetings knight, a pleasure.  As far as Firefox, I do not love her, I do respect her and conviction to her duties.  She is fascinating and says she loves me; but I am not sure of that for she was drawn to something I wield .. if I may."  he steps back and pulls the golden pommel from his bracer and the 3' blade of flame ignites "She was drawn to this, Sol, which she thought was part of me." he then puts the pommel back on the bracer and the blade disappears.  "She is made of fire, so I don't know."

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 41):

Dualis will say "Still much to do, anyone need anything from me before you go off?  Meet back by 3 days hence .. or I will send Art to hound you."

Zargon will say to Warwick and Tzar.  "Better get some rest, training begins soon."  Tzar says "Yes sir" and begins to move towards the door and stops "Um, where should I go?" and Zargon says "I believe there is a room, 6th down on the right side of the bookcases." Dualis confirms this and Tzar heads down that way.

OOC: We can do the side stuff in private chats.  Just let me know what your chars want to do - some already have.

Shorty stares deep into Tzar's eyes.  "Maybeso she like sword, but me tinks her bees smart nuf ta knows da difference atween sword and man.  Maybeso youse not see youse self bery goooder yet.  Some a da days youse growed up and see insdie self.  No always bees purty what see in dere.  But maybeso better den youse tink."

Shorty takes Ez'ard and heads outside to go home.  He has people there who would die for him as readily as he would die for them.  That is his definition of what love is for peasant of king.  For arch mage or knight.  This he knows in his heart.

Tzar looks back at Shorty, "She may have some understanding of the difference, she does not necessarily know the difference or the man.  As I have been told and have seen, there are multiple types of love.  She may have one of them I'll grant. The one I think of, I doubt."

As Shorty departs, "Nice to have met."

Early during the first day of the three days, everyone gets a broadcast from Morteft.

*I was able to get some of the mithril salvaged from one of the golems. I sold it and everyone's share is 12,500 gold. It is in the Bank of Dualis so ping him when you want it. Stronginthearm is still working on the other golem, but I will do the same with that one once it is done.*
