In reply to Warwick (msg # 922):

Warwick's Wis is good enough for confusion yes, not for Chaos though.

Both Ayre and Ez'ard saved vs the Hold Spell by Warwick - that was Ez'ard's save that was mentioned.

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Shorty (msg # 928):

OOC: new round

The MiA looks to be hasted he is moving quite fast.

Morteft begins casting his spell while Tzar & Shorty attack the MiA while the rest wander or stand confused.

Morteft's spell goes off, Trysk, Ayre and Ez'ard need to make a save vs magic at -4.

MiA replies to Shorty, "Then glory awaits."  he attacks Shorty this time hitting 5 times, all bouncing.  Shorty and Tzar hit the MiA with a barrage of strikes .. most of them bounce.  Then Shorty's last strike gets thru and the MiA grunts.  Tzar's last strike gets thru and this time the MiA does not grunt for his head falls to the left as his body falls to the right.

"A fine strike Sol." Tzar remarks as the MiA's head falls away.

OOC: Need saving throws

The battle ends but the Chaos spell is still active.  Tzar and Shorty are still in a great deal of pain.

Morteft will go over to the desk and check for anything that might act as a control mechansim, look for notes, booklets and the like about the entrance. *You guys may need to subdue those folks until they regain their senses.*

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Morteft (msg # 930):

Morteft finds 5 pieces of paper on the desk and the 5 sheets cover a small volume that looked like it was part of the pile of papers.  The 5 sheets of paper seem to be a visitors log, names or creature type, many names look like gibberish, there is even a Grog, with an occupation/class as Grog.  Morteft will notice the other two names Dualis mentioned, the cleric Lasco and the fighter Alazar, both seemed to visit a while back if the sheets were in chronological order. He also notices a peculiar name .. 'Master' with a title of 'Traveller'.  The small volume is leather bound with a bronze filigree on the front, back and spine.

There is a cushioned chair of red oak at the desk, the front of the desk is plain except for 4 gems set into the desk, a green and red on the right side and a blue and clear gem on the left side.  The gems are one atop the other with the red and clear gems about 3" below the green and blue gems.

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

Shorty returns his swords to their scabbards before grabbing the head and tossing it hard across the room.  He aims for the far wall with hopes of leaving a pretty mark on that wall.  Then shorty pulls a rope from his pack and lopoks for a friend to tie up.

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Trysk (msg # 933):

Trysk and Ayre will make it to the back wall and just start walking into the wall, bumping back a foot or so and walking into the wall again and continue that cycle. Both Warwick and Ez'ard just stare into space.  The two pairs are on opposite sides of the room about 40' from each other.

Morteft has enough understanding of the spell to guess that Ayre and Trysk will just stay at the wall till the spell ends; while Warwick and Ez'ard may still have a chance at 'individual' action.

Who will be be restrained?

Morteft says, *Restrain Warwick and Ez'ard until the spell ends. Probably need to take off Warwick's girdle so he doesn't break the ropes. I would start with him since he can deal a lot of damage quickly.*

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

Morteft will take all the papers and use the rod of alertness to detect magic. He will toss all magic from the fellow into a sack (using another stack to handle them) and then toss his head into a water-proof sack. *We may want to question him later.*

He looks at the gems. *Ok, so these do some things. One is probably an alarm. Probably red. The clear one might stop the alarm. Hard to say for the other two. One of them may have activated the defenses of this desk too. Too bad it is attached.*

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Morteft (msg # 936):

The whole area is magical but Morteft can discern that the headless man in armor's plate armor is magical, he has 2 rings, and his long sword; which shocks Morteft thru the sack (burning it) for 10 points and a steely voice says 'Take your stinking hands off me, you damn dirty human.'

Morteft will also notice that the neck of the body seems to be healing until after removing the rings.  He places the head of the man in armor into a sack as well.

Ez'ard just barely saves.  Tzar will take care of Warwick, first taking off the belt and wrapping Warwick up in some rope.  Shorty will take care of Ez'ard.

After 2 minutes Ez'ard becomes docile and tries to roll toward the wall where Ayre and Trysk ar located until he is stopped.  Warwick goes from a stunned state to yelling obscenities and demanding release or cut of various body parts of somebody to 'did you have to tie the ropes so tight and what have we found?' to remaining dazed for the next few minutes.

After another 8 minutes Trysk, Ayre, Ez'ard and Warwick are all back to their senses again.

Actions?

Morteft will be careful with the book as well then before putting it into the sack.

OOC: Once everyone is back to their senses.

*Probably the desk, but it might be one of these items. Ok, let's go deeper if you have anti-magic and find a place we can hole up. I would like to see if I can open a pocket dimension here via magnificient mansion. If we can, this becomes a bit easier. If not, we are going to be having some issues being safe.*

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

Since he missed a lot of the action, Shorty will stay on guard against any new arrivals into the room.  This place seems to attract a lot of people.  If Morteft doesn’t need the visitor log,  Shorty will place those pages in one of his magic pockets to give to Penny for her dragon council to review.

OOC:   Djd the pain fade away during the ejght hour wait?  Also, Cam I get an exact list of the magic found for my treasure file?
