Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Shorty (msg # 949):

OOC: It takes 8 minutes for the Chaos to wear off, it takes longer than that for the pain, so the pain is still going on.

Magic items: plate armor, long sword, 2 rings and a book.

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

Once Ez’ard is released he mentions he has one stoneskin spell and can handle himself for now. He asks, “If you cast anti-magic will that ruin the stoneskin again?” He waits for an answer before casting the spell.

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 952):

Morteft shakes his head. *It will only impact it while you stand in it. Once you step out, it will be back.* He looks to Trysk. *You want to do the honors and anti-magic shell the door? Shorty and Warwick can then force it open after Ez'ard and you check for traps.*

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

Ez’ard nods and casts his stoneskin on himself. He wanders over to the doors and begins inspecting it and around it to include the floor and ceiling. He will use his spectacles during the inspection.

In reply to Ez'ard (msg # 954):

As Ez'ard moves toward the door, Morteft says, *STOP! You don't want to be chaosed again. Wait until the anti-magic shell is cast and you will need to do a manual inspection. Magic and magic items will not work.*

"I think I need a stoneskin again, lad.  And does anyone need healing?" asks Warwick.

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Morteft (msg # 957):

OOC: Will move to a new thread soon.

You reload your stoneskins and start healing magic - I think only Ez'ard got injured, both Tzar and Shorty's stoneskins are almost gone, Morteft got hit 4 of his SS as well.

Trysk casts his anti-magic and moves toward the doors.  Ez'ard looks them over as best he can normally since his specs will not work in anti-magic.  He determines there are no traps on the doors or locks for that matter.

Will Warwick and Shorty attempt to open the doors?

OOC: Since we have a new player and it tends to be forgotten - here is the list of bonus XP's.

The other ways to gain experience:
Gain 10xp for every hit point lost
Gain 20xp per level of Cleric spell cast
Gain 50xp per level of Mage spell cast
200/polymorph - caused by an adversary
   500/level drain from monster/spell/item
1000/stoning - you actually became stone not smoked some exotic weed.
   5000 xps/death (characters own death)

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

In reply to Ron, The DM (msg # 958):

Trysk cast Stoneskin on himself, Shorty, Tzar and Ayre (he assumes Ez'ard can cast the spell now, too) before changing rings and casting Anti-magic Shell.

Trysk grumbles, "I can't wait until I can cast it myself!"

The door does not budge.  Shorty joins in and the doors still do not budge, almost if they are welded shut.

Shorty will watch Warwick attempt the door.  If he fails, Shorty will move up and try to open it.  “Me tinks door maybeso like me.  Chaos bees good ting.”

Re: Delith:Back to Normalcy

OOC: What is the door made of? Are there hinges?

*I am guessing that we have to guess at the buttons on the desk or guess the password to get this open. It seems the anti-magic isn't enough to work on it.*

*Risky ploy, but one of those rings seemed to help him regenerate. If we put it back on him, maybe I could get the info from his head before he awakens.*

In reply to Warwick (msg # 971):

*How about:

Are the gems on the desk activated by touching them?

(OOC: If yes, then...)

What does the green gem do when touched?

What does the blue gem do when touched?

What does the clear gem do when touched?

What does the red gem do when touched?

Or something like that? How many questions do you get?*

In reply to Morteft (msg # 972):

*Ha! Maybe we should have used this this with the cloud giants! In any case, I think we should ask more direct questions:
How do open this door safely?
What's on the other side of this door?
Where is the red dragon's lair?*
