In reply to Master of Fates (msg # 889):

Thomas jumps back out of the way of the swing again, although his dodge was sufficient to avoid the flames without going backwards, angry at what has happened to Rascallion, before creating a Tiger and directing it to attack the other mage and protect Rascallion. Clearly this mage is not going to do so well...

Your Opponent also dips into the Creation college, but Chooses a Very Large Bear. (Grizzly)  while maintaining his Flame Jet...  The oncoming soldiers stop and come on guard as large vicious animals appear out of nowhere.

In reply to Thomas O'Leary (msg # 892):

The Viper has hit his boots several times to little apparent affect, at the moment he is standing on it's head, apparently by accident. He also does something ...  And the Tiger stops and looks at you... then starts advancing and snarling.  The Flame Jet is holding the Bear back.

A very burnt man staggers from the door way, looking about.

In reply to Master of Fates (msg # 893):

Thomas attempts to regain control of his creation, but his brain is working very poorly today, so the attempt is poor. If if continues to attack him, he will simply end the spell used to create it! All creations he has control over will be directed to attack the mage in front of him.

Re: Oakwood's Ordeal

So the tiger again turns toward the other mage... the Bear still seems to be in your control as well ... the Mage fails away with his Fire Jet , holding it at bay...

The new Burned mage starts a Stone Missile.

The Soldiers edge around you toward the two mages, causing them some concern.

A wash of a grin came over Wulfe "I'll never fail to be impressed by the things magic can do..." he said.

Then gestured to the remainder of the soldiers "Lets go!" he said indicating they should push through the door and entre the main keep.

Re: Oakwood's Ordeal

Herkimer dismounts from his horse, finally and motions for the others to do the same.
"Quill, with me where I can keep an eye on you. Wertle, with Jaeleen. We will move in pairs, not too close, we don't need to all suddenly succumb to a concentrated attack."

Herkimer steals a glance at Jaeleen. They were about to enter the keep proper, any semblance of defense against arrows they had in the relative shelter of the shadow of the door would dissipate. Also swords and other threat to their skin. He reached out and took her hand. He squeezed it gently.

"Remember all that you've learned, be creative where you can. We'll survive this. We are exceptional, there is no other fate in store for us."

Herkimer dropped his hand. BAH. Emotions. A scowl crossed his face. He'd done stupid things for a woman before. He supposed he was still doing them for that woman. Confusion threatened to creep in, he banished it with an insurmountable will power.

Herkimer beckoned Quill to his side, pointed to a spot, 15' away for Jaeleen and Wertle to take up and marched through the door of the keep.

Wulfe glanced at the wizards and smiled "Listen carefully to Herkimer, and if you're unsure about anything, go behind the shields... it can get chaotic once steel meets steel he offered the advice and he stepped into the breach. (breach - kinda...)

Re: Oakwood's Ordeal

At this point, the soldiers who went up the back stairs have rounded up theChamberlain, and several other functionaries along with some maids, cooks and such.  The soldiers also have secured the two mages in the chambers on the gallery facing the front of the Castle., one seriously burnt. so most of the keep has been secured. Only the Mages Area is still in question (this is the area to the left as you came in the main gates).  It can also be reached by a matching stair case on the left side of the keep. You should be aware that there was a group of mages there, Right?
There were 23 men at arms accounted for so far and all the prisoners are sulky and looking for ways to counter your success..

Re: Oakwood's Ordeal

Having rounded up the groups with a successful capture of the keep, albeit with some resistance remaining Wulfe commanded the guarding men at arms.

"Treat them well enough... he said in reference to the prisoners "But if they resist or try to fight, or undermine our successes here then kill them. he said callously. There was no room to be dealing with people disrupting the final part of this engagement, especially when opposing wizards. He made the order loudly enough that all of the prisoners could hear.

"Alright lets finish this... I guess Brance will be with the mages.

Thomas is happy to come. He checks on Rascallion as soon as the mages are secured though, and removes any useful possessions they may have or have stored in the mages quarters, including armour (magcal or mundane) potions, scrolls, grimores, staves or weapons.

The Burnt one does a Huh? while the other does something ... the soldier swings and his fist stops abruptly, causing him significant pain. The mage looks directly at Herkimer and says Bad Plan apprentice!

Re: Oakwood's Ordeal

Wulfe simply charged, his shield up and a tfull pelt aiming to smash the mage as hard as he could. As soon as the mages resisted, they indicated that they wouldn't go quietly and Wulfe's instinct took over.

He growled as he swung his shield arm to slam the shield into the body of the man

Charge and shield bash the one that spoke.

19:31, Today: Wulfe The Pretty rolled 12 using 3d6.  Shield Bash (16).
19:32, Today: Wulfe The Pretty rolled 6 using 1d6+5.  Shield bash (large, fine shield).

The mage should get a roll of 1d6+1, if he beats my roll then he stays standing - assuming he didn't defend.

If I 'miss' because he dodges, Wulfe runs 2yard past him.
