Troels is visibly disappointed, but says nothing.

The bard captures the beat of the dwarven advance as she starts musical composition.

As you watch the slow development of the Dwarven attack something moving in the sky to your left catches the eye, it's a flash of a reflection, but obviously something is there ... dots appear.
Lady Highrocks starts to giggle  They did come, God help those poor fools.

You can just start to make out wings flapping on the dots which are growing larger as they approach.

Indeed, five extremely large dragons become clearer as they close  in. One dives for the castle tower while the others spread out behind the Baron of Mershall's formed men and close.
The alarm goes up as they are noticed and pandemonium break out, added to by the dragon's flaming breath.  The people on the castle tower are among the first to be enflamed by this act.

Well Captain,I think we should go down and help now. Lady Highrocks announces loudly.

Troels does not need a second invitation....

Roahfustion looks at Blythe and, indicating Troels, says, "I suppose we should go along too. To look after him." She smiles, knowing full well Troeld is sufficiently lethal on his own.

Yes, and our slings may be of us as well.  Likely will need to control Troels some least he kill everything in reach.

She nods theatrically.

The whole group leaves two guards and the remainder heads down toward the fleeing  soldiers of Mershall.
The Soldiers avoid any armed group and keep retreating, the leaders try to get them into some sort of formation, but the dragons attacks any formed unit with a vengeance.
The soldiers with bows fire up at the dragons to try and ward them off, although not too successfully.

The nearest group of 300 or so soldiers with bowmen is about 100 yards/meters away.

Troels will head down with them, his crossbow on his back and pickaxe and shield in hands. 300 or so is enough to go round...he will walk, and save his energy for fighting, evaluating who the leaders are that present the most threat.

The leaders are no threat, they are trying to get control of what is rapidly becoming a mob ... the Dwarves are moving faster and the Dragons are attacking the larger groups to break them up into uncontrollable flight.

As you approach, most of the soldiers move away, but two decide to block your advance. Each has a sword, shield , metal helmet and Chain maille Byrnie. Both have greaves on as well.

Blythe flings a sling stone at one of the leaders, it's not very effective but sure gets his attention.

OOC- Apologize for missing a day ... Not top notch yesterday.

Roahfustion sings a little upbeat martial ditty and rest a hand on Troels' shoulder just before he advances.

Troels focussed on bud for the next attack, swinging his pick at the torso as he prepared to retreat out of the way of any attacks.

Roahfustion equips her shield and then fastdraws her rapier and then moves to flank Alf.

Alf uses his  shield to face Roahfustion while swinging at Troel's right arm.

Does not look good for either of them. Troels made both his dodges and Bud critically failed his dodge, so he gets an armour-peircing pick to the vitals, 6(2) imp damage at least.

Roahfustion tries to skewer Alk. Her main purpose is to distract him from attacking Troels.

Bud staggers back with the pick in his Chest, Roll to recover your pick. He is obviously grievously injured.

Roahfustion's blade slides along the top of Alf's shield hitting his left shoulder. It doesn't look like his maille was cut, but it obviously distracted him. He steps back and swings overhand at Roahfustion ( in the next turn)

13:19, Today: Master of Fates rolled 7 using 3d6.  Alf - Sword swing.   He hit's her left arm for 4 points cutting if not defended against.

Blythe can't see Alf because Troel's is in the way, but she slings her bullet at a soldier (Cal)  who looks as if he was about to join in. The bullet hit's his shield hand (shield was held open toward the Dwarves), doing 3 points of crushing to his hand/wrist. b Cal almost drops his tower shield and curses loudly.

Troels rips the pick out as he slams his Buckler, dagger first, into the chest of the soldier nearest to that side.

Well since Bud is the only soldier near you besides Alf who has stepped away to deal with Roahfustion....  Bud gets all the attention. He falls and doesn't move.


The mob these guys came from moves past you and continues to retreat.
