Holy Moley has invited the misc members of the FC to have a party at the FC Manor in celebration of the fact that Idylshire has joined the Eorzean Alliance!

Holy didn't go and decorate or anything, but he does have the table set with food and has personal cooks ready at a moment's notice to make to-order stuff just in case.

(All of my Zalera alts are present and accounted for)

  Wawaiwai has been drastically falling behind on how often he's been applying equal parts fire and ice with occasional lightning to anything a tank looks at funny.  But he it certainly more than ready to party in the traditional sense.

  "Hello, I brought a tiny cake." Well, tiny so far as it won't serve a guild full of people.

Mittens heard "party" and teleported post haste!  When she finds the FC house as she left it, she hrms.

"Am I too early?  Oh I see.  Mittens IS the decorating committee!  Very well!"

Que ye olde cartoon gag of catgirl vanishing and re-appearing rapidly throughout the FC mansion, setting up ribbons, confetti bombs, and whatnot.

Meanwhile, Kitau was baking treats.  But warm oven combined with exhausting events = snoring Lalafell in the kitchen.  The timer will likely wake her up, though.

Holy can't blame Kitau. If anything, he's not sure why he is still conscious himself... must be the undead factor; when you are so tired, you gain your second wind and become a smiling, energetic zombie! He checks the mirror, just to be sure. He looks fine.

Upon Wawai offering cake, he smiles, gives Wawai a bro-hug, and shows Wawai where to put it. "Thanks, Wawai. That's probably plenty since most might very well be too stuffed to have a whole piece... if they get a piece at all."

Holy then waves at Mittens. "Didn't mean to task you with anything, Mitts... but thank you?"

Timothius and Raichel cheer on Mittens as they watch her, giggling and wooting! They even make a game of trying to predict where Mittens will appear next!

Vel is just sitting at the fire, legs crossed, relaxed. "Angel, you mind checking on Lucky?"

Angel says, "No problem." and peaks out the door. "Lucky! I know you like greeting people at the gate, but do you mind coming over here to just inside the entrance? Mom wants you to be in her field of vision."

  Ah, the hard life of a battle butler.  Lucky must have so many offscreen adventures in having to beat people unconscious for the best auction bargains.

  "Well, I still figured I should at least bring something either way.  Are you and Kitau holding up allright though?"  After all, everyone else seems comparatively fresh faced.  Wawai knows 'why am I not sleepy despite being up a ludicrous timespan!?' well from personal experience.

  As for Mittens Waldo watching, Wawai places the usual guess of always just past where he is looking.

Lucky smiles and nods.  "Be right in!"  He returns inside with some apple tree firewood to add a nice scent to the fireplace then gives his mom a hug.

Before long, Mits, encouraged by the cheering, and who is usually just outside where you're looking, is done decorating.  Somewhere along the way, a moogle seems to have joined her and toots a horn.  Mits stands proudly.  "TADA!"

RIIING!  The timer goes off and the snoozing kitchen Lala hops back to her feet.  The oven is opened, and the wonderful scent of fresh baked pastries fills the air.  Without announcement, she dumps the pastries onto a huge plate at the center of the table, then smiles at the party goers.

Holy answers Wawai, "I'm surprisingly fine. I'm guessing Kitau was only catching some winks because of being next to the warmth of the oven... I can't fathom having more endurance than her."

Then he spots Kitau waking and serving. Holy smiles and says, "Nice work, Kitau." before hugging her from behind.

Vel pets Lucky and says, "Thanks for the hug. I just wanted you in sight... I don't mean to pull you from welcoming people. Though I imagine everyone that's going to show up has..."

The bunch that showed up to the party clap upon Mitts proclaiming TADA. Holy calls out, "Thanks again, Mitts!"

Azure bumps hips with her twin Prism and says, "We should get a dance going... Wanna steal a twin?" she points at Timothius and Raichel.

Castle sees the suggestion to dance, then looks at Mittens, shrugs, smiles, and offers a hand to her.

Holy, likewise, begins swaying with Kitau in his arms.

Wawai has his choice of Vel, Billy, Lucky, Tread and Angel at the moment. But chances are that Vel and Billy will be taken soon.

  Wawai nods, "Nice to hear, Holy. Though Kitau does deserve the extra rest where she can get it either way."

  Today the short mage is going to try for the tallest lady for maximum contrast.  "Hello Tread, always nice to see you getting to enjoy yourself."

The moogle sees that dancing has been suggested and begins providing proper music.

Kitau smiles and enjoys the compliment and dance.  "Thanks for asking, Wawai."

Lucky nods and offers Vel a dance.  "Sure thing.  Now let's enjoy the music!"

"Yoooure welcome," Mits gives an elaborate bow then takes Castle up on his offer to dance.  Prism bumps back with an impish smile and nods.  "Rock paper scissors."

Depending on the results is which kitty she'll grab.

Holy slow-dances Kitau off to the center area so there is more room. He turns her to face him and leans in for a nuzzle before continuing to dance.

Vel accepts Lucky's offer and Billy takes Angel. Vel's moves are very smooth and feline while Billy and Angel seem to be more boogy!

Prism gets Timothius! Azure goes to dance with Raichel, who is, of course, smiley and energetic, mixing martial arts into her dance moves. While Timothius is shy about it. "I'm not all that good at dancing..." he comments to Prism.

Tread smiles brightly at Wawaiwai. "Likewise, Wawaiwai... you are always so chill, even when you cast fire. So it's kinda neat to see you movin' your body a bit... without it having to be running for your life." She is a boogy-style like Billy and Angel, but also seems to want Wawai to lead.

Castle begins getting competitive with Mittens on fancy dance moves. He is pulling some tribal dance steps from his people.

  Wawaiwai has the very zen lifestyle of being too busy applying the burning rage of his life into literally burning monsters to death.  Poor warriors who have to make do with screaming.

  “Thanks Tread.  Though a blank face during danger comes more naturally than good dance moves, I’m afraid.”  Oh no, entirely stock dance animations… Well, at least it’s better than Commander Shepard.

Kitau blushes and comments, "This was a nice idea.  I prefer informal celebrations to the big to-dos."

No worries, Wawai, she's perfectly fine with how she manifests her rage.

Lucky is rather kitty cat-ish in his movements as well.  "We should go touring Ishgard sometime now that it's an option."

Prism /cheers for being chosen to dance with the kitty healer.  She headshakes and winks at him.  "I've seen you casting magic.  You've got plenty of good moves.  Use those!"

Angel bumps Lucky's hip to trade partners with Vel. So now, Vel is dancing with Billy and Angel is dancing with Lucky.

Timothius does attempt some gentle, slow dancing. As Prism was hinting at, Tim tries to implement some of the movements involved with casting curative magics.

Holy dips Kitau with an impish grin.

Soon, though, the bunch head over to the table to eat! So many noms! Holy sits at the head of the table with Kitau on his lap.

  It is a longtime earned life skill for lalas to be able to eat at a table properly without a booster seat in mixed company.  But Kitau certainly has a cute workaround for that.

  "Thanks again for the further baked goods, Kitau." Chefs are good with sharp objects even without warrior levels, best to remember that.

Mits does her tada pose again then gives a fancy bow before digging in at the table, seated near her sibs.

Lucky enjoys dancing with Angel, giving her a big grin from the cut-in.  He also sits with his family at the table.

Prism girly-claps for Timothius and does a less-than-graceful imitation of his casting dance, laughing and blushing.  She's sure to sit next to Azure.

Kitau blushes and smirks from Holy's antics.  Though Holy would probably be fine with a person in full armor on his lap, at the table she's sure to be wearing something appropriate for dining.  She gives a smile and nod to Wawai for his thank-you.

Lucky and Mits also give thanks to those who contributed.  "I'm eager to see how explosive the flavor of Wawai's cake is!"

Holy says, "Me too, but I'm going to save that for dessert, alongside the cookies Kitau made."

During the meal, much and more mundane things are discussed, like how the flowers in the FC Mansions yard are coming along. Azure, who had started the dancing earlier, is quick to suggest setting a date for the FC to have a dance party in the basement. It has the right lights and set up for it, after all.

Raichel and Tread seem to have big appetites and nom all kinds. And yet, somehow, Timothius manages to take bites in unison with Raichel. Maybe she is just eating larger chunks when nobody looks? Hard to say.

Whenever people look like they might be feeling bluh, Timothius and Holy both are quick to cast cures and esuna, if just to make people feel better. But Holy warns people not to over-eat.

  Wawai just writes the twin snack sync off as art assets always being surprisingly low when it comes to snack time.  Like watching a particular Elezen brother and sister plot pair drink from cups that look like a Nintendo 64 Texture.

  "Holy, just because I've missed out on banquets due to melodrama doesn't mean I will immediately overstuff my face." Though it is tempting sometimes.

Prism has a petit appetite and encourages Azure to do the synchronized nomming too.  She's quick to second her sister's suggestion.

Lucky is very engaged in the talk about mundane things, showing great enthusiasm for the FC house's welfare.

Mits is more interested in deciding on where to mount the shrunken dragon's head.  She was at least able to assent that a full-sized dragon's head would be a waste of space.

"Doesn't mean I won't!"

Mits' appetite seems bottomless, taking full advantage of the variety of tasty noms available to her.  And is grateful for the healing magics.

A tiny fork is handed over to the moogle who enjoys nibbling off Mits' plate.

Castle Maskull doesn't use utensils. He just bare hands all of it. Which isn't to say he eats sloppy. He still makes use of napkins and such.

Holy nods to Wawaiwai. "Many people have overstuffed their faces even when they are full, Wawaiwai. Be it you or someone else at the table, I don't want anyone here to suffer if they don't have to."

Timothius says, "...'If they don't have to.' Heh. Like whenever we adventure."

Raichel raises her glass, "Here's to making evil suffer instead of their would-be victims! And here's to making evil say 'good never rests' so they look over their shoulders!"

Holy says, "Good never rests... normally so true. Which is why we are having this party. Sometimes, you have to take time to recharge. Not just in order to be that much more effective, but to enjoy the good pleasure of each others' company!"

To Mittens, Tread says, "If we mount a dragon's head in here, how will any visiting dragons feel?"

Asure says, "Same as we'd feel if we visited a dragon who had a taxidermied human head on the wall. Which in my case, would be impressed and somewhat amused... if it was an evil human who's head had been mounted, that is."

Timothius says, "We're eating. Please no more talk about mounting people's heads?"

  He nots to Mittens and Holy, though he's fairly certain the kitty can handle Omnomnoming just as well as she can handle stabstabstabbing.

  "Making Evil wildly paranoid does come with the job, yes."

Kitau is a non-utensil type as well.  Though she seems more interested in feeding Holy than herself.

Prism giggles and shoulder-bumps Azure, then whispers, "No grossing out the cute kitty."

Lucky chooses to ignore talk of severed heads and comments to Wawai, "If we're going to be force-feeding evil to make them suffer, I don't think any of this good food is going to make them fret very much."

Mits hops out of her seat, transforms into her crafting outfit, (which looks like a butler with circle sunglasses), and crafts up a plushie for Timothius.
