Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between

"OK, so NOW the wight isn't a threat." Timothius corrects.

May then hops about like a ninja before suddenly being in the Skull Lord's face! "Surprise!" She swings and if the skull lord had hair, May's carrikal would have sliced a few hairs off. In slow motion.

"Viper belt," Mittens brags, "I resist poison you stinky trog!  Nyah-heh!  ZAP!"

Another cyclops goes down!  She walks past the wight that just watches her pass, unable to attack!

Timothius walks down a few steps. "Not close enough yet to help you with the boss, but I'll be there soon." and with that, he gives the trog a Fluttershy GLARE.

Raichel slams a palm into one of the bone lord's "heads" and shatters the skull! The thunder hits the wight next to him, injuring it, but doesn't seem to wake it from its stupor. "Not a talkative bunch of enemies, are they?"

To Rai's comment the trog answers, "What's the point?"

It curses Timothius then retreats to hide behind the skeletons.  The stunned wight just stands there, stunned.

OOC:  For later...  skull lord plans to club rai, shoot may with cold/fear ray, and kyle with fire ray.  provoking aoo from both rai and may.

May heads for the bone lord, seemingly undaunted. "The frustrating thing about this is they don't care they are going to die because they're already dead." and swing and clang and swing and clang. No apparent damage. But she is in flanking with Rai, at least.

Kyle steps up behind Mittens, and fires off what is considered for him a completely normal attack (Even if he is still terrible at Ranged Basic).  One of the SKULL LORD's skulls get's taken clean off it's shoulders and pinned to a wall.

"That is not really much of a difference compared to most of our living enemies, May."

M weapon: Killshot #2 for Skull Lord.
M weapon bonus for Mittens. +1 to hit, +4 DMG rolls

Timothius struggles to get to the bottom of the stairs as he is huddled up and shivering. He makes a force of will to stop shivering and begins to sing. The wight who just broke free cowers a little, lowering his guard some. Kyle feels slightly tougher.

Raichel cocks her hand and says, "Whatever!" and SLAPS the bone lord in the (face?) skull! Lightning courses through her arm and into the skull, then shoots out the bone lord's jaws at the nearby wight, frying its backside, then shoots out the wight's chest to the one who JUST broke free from Tim's enchantment, frying it also.

The first wight steps out from flanking and swings twice at Mittens!  The skull lord then swings at Raichel, steps south of May, then blasts her with its ice ray!  The lil fighter is forced into the blood chaos!  Glub glub.

Even as the little kobold was hit, she slammed the bone lord in the ribs with her shield! But she can be heard squeaking from the hit as she flies into the blood chaos.

May doesn't look hardly phased by the blood chaos as she hops out, grinning! "RAAAHHH!!" and smashes the last skull and its supporting body into splinters!

Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between

While she is clearly fine, Kyle does check up on May considering she got dunked into fantasy Not Lava.

"Well, either they are working with the only things they have available, or they have not gotten the hint attacking the Pelor light show with undead is a stupid plan."  Well, MORE stupid.  Not like a pair of dragons less than ten minutes ago fared any better.

Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between

Granted, most sane individuals would assume one dragon alone could stop anything, much less the overkill concept of TWO dragons.

Timothius is also sure to check on the whole team. Lava dunk or no, everyone got hurt.

May gives Kyle (and Timothius) a big, sharp-teeth grin. "I'm fine! See?" and pounds her chest.

Raichel rests, but keeps glancing at the way the gith went. "We had him... we were seconds from grabbing him.."

Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between

"I get the feeling that he's the recurring villain that the heroes won't get to finish off till the final chapter of the story.  'Cause besides him, we haven't met a named villain that's escaped us.  But!  That doesn't mean I won't have fun mocking his cowardice every time he runs from us.  Also!  On an even brighter side: the more time he spends running from us, the less time he has to destroy towns with elemental goo."
