Raichel ZOTS her way through the ghosts only to get into flanking with May. "Oh geez... ghosts." then puts her staff up into a martial arts pose. "Time to get some practice in."

Spark Form v Specter, Banshee. Miss(threee) CRIT(35)! Hit(30)!
 dmg to Specter: 36 / 2 = 18
 dmg to Banchee: 19 / 2 = 9

She doesn't have a way past insubstantial with her sorc powers... but she DOES with her monk powers. ;)

Specter HP: 61 - 18 = 43
Banshee HP: 80 - 9 = 71

Timothius says, "Out of our way, please." and walks forward, bursting with light before shining his holy symbol at the ghosts, making them shriek with pain as they sizzle. "We're here to utterly destroy Sarshan. Our time to die is not until after we have defeated him."

Standard: Shining Symbol v Specter, Banshee. Hit(31)! Hit(27)!

"One good bomb deserves another."

Mits waves dismissively at the ghosts as she passes them by.  Blamblamblamblamblam!!  The familiar cluster bomb attack takes out the specter!

"I always envisioned the crushing wall room to have no way out.  But the floors are hollow.  You can hide from the walls there.  I guess maybe the point is to force you into some kinda cage?  Maybe?"

Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between pt.2

Kyle moves up and shoots the banshe right in it's big mouth, which would have been the end of it if not for that pesky insubstantial situation.  Sure he DOES have an item that MIGHT work against that (for one attack, with an extra hit roll), but that would take away time for buffing May and fleeing crushey places.

"Huh, I missed the hollow floors thing.  Perhaps they wanted to ensure they had a way not to squish themselves?"

Move:duh
Minor: Resistive for May. +1 AC, can cash in for her surge+8 THP, and one ally within 5 of her also gets THP.
Standard: Learned boost M weapon. hits. 36 DMG. half due to ghost.
+1 to hit, +4 DMG rolls for Mittens and May.

Banshee: 33-18=15

Mits answering "makes sense" is drowned out by the Banshee screaming with such force that it pushes back May, Kyle, and Raichel!

It then sinks into the floor, vanishing from sight!

Clink clink clink clink clink... Ruuumble!  The ceiling above May and Kyle begins to slowly lower.

Timothius says, "The banshee got out of our way! Run!"

May grunts and wills her body to move, despite the fear, and pushes past the otherwise debilitating effects!

With that, May and Timothius run for the other room.

Raichel says, "Ican'tmoveIcan'tmoveIcan'tmove" and suddenly feels free. "I'mOKnow!"

May Minor to auto-save from immobilize, taking 10 dmg.
Double-moves all around to get to flesh golem room.

Re: Scales of War: The Temple Between pt.2

Mits looked like she was about to rush over to Raichel, but relaxes a bit when Rai says she's OK.  So she instead blasts the golem then pops open a floor panel nearby.

"Huh.  Yeah.  Looks like it must have been secret escape for those in the know."

the floors are riddled with niches under secret sliding
trapdoors (Perception DC 21). Opening a trapdoor is a
minor action, while slipping into it is a move action. The
floor contains one niche per square. Each niche can be
occupied by one creature.
A PC in a niche can ride out the crushing walls and ceiling.
However, upon leaving a niche and stepping onto the floor
again, the section of the trap the PC stands in is triggered
once more.

"I wonder if the Banshee will bother trying again, or knows better than risking it's intangible face getting blown off?"

Standard: Repulsion strike. hits golem. 26 Force DMG. knocks prone, -4 melee penalty until end of my next turn.

Kyle fires another shot at the Golem, though differences in results this time include it being acidic, and him actually making his save throw vs status.  "Probably.  I can possibly delay the walls if needed, but it's not a sure thing and I'd basically have to keep doing it instead of helping the fight."  So far as Roll a 2 or better isn't a sure thing.

Mits kersplodes several bits of flesh golem into oblivion.

"This is one tough zombie.  But at the rate we're going, we needn't worry about getting squished before we can get to those double doors to my right.  About the only reason to hide in the cubbies would be to take a quick rest to get powers back in case more monsters and traps forced to face immediately after doors with no retreat.  But then...  if we hide in cubbies no guarantee that we'll be able to get back out."

"Well, technically it's not a zombie.  Though honestly that would have been preferable since a Golem does not tend to burn extra in the face of radiance."  Kyle is out of multidice attacks (which is true, all his dailies involve either one die or none), so he just fires off default magically assisted crossbow shot.  Not finishing the job, but at least making it closer to over with.

The door is terrified of Kyle and opens for him.  Beyond the door is some swirley vortex teleportal familiar by now to the heroes as one that probably leads to yet another level of the tower.

"I'm thinking we squeeze in this area here and rest a few," Mits suggests, "I'd put it at a 111% chance that there'll be an immediate ambush on the other side, and I'd like to be ready with my good spells.  Boys smush over there, me and Rai over here, and May at our feet.  That ok?"
