Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

Aarnr Foultongue:
Anyone for a rowdy chorus of "we're all going to die, we're all going to die ..."

I'm pretty sure that was in the game intro, actually.  I'm not worried though - I'm a Sorceress!  So, you know, if I get hit, I'm probably way past healing already...

DM:
I'm looking at starting the slaughter fun and games next weekend, all being well.

I'm actually, like, super close to done!  Honest!

U'mm ... Cleric of Bowbe.  Look him up in The Gods thread.  I'm really, really sorry ... ;P

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

Still needing to find a rogue, so I'm about to go and use some emotional blackmail on a player.  That and threats to the lives of their characters in some of my other games.

Sometimes it's good to be the GM.  :)

Alternately, if you'd like to make me Second Level, I'd be happy to make one of those a Rogue level.

Like, really, really happy, in fact...

I'll make a note of that... soon as we get to the dungeon, you can go directly to the second level.

Yay!  I'll clear out all of the treasure and experience points while everybody else is mucking about with kobolds and giant rats!

...Can I still call myself an "Eternal Optimist" if my personal "eternity" turns out to be a quarter of a second?

Uh-oh.  Is it too late for the pebbles to vote?

Hi, Final-Member-Of-The-Party-Cassandra-Von-Reinhard!  Does anybody else find it... disconcerting... when our DM starts throwing around words like "final"? Or "Member", for that matter?  To say nothing of "to" and "of". shudder

Good day, Erista.  A pleasure to meet you.

Final?  Are we expecting to perish?

.....

Hopefully someone will eventually take my notes from my dessicated and decayed corpse.

I'm not.  But I wish whoever's behind Aarnr luck.

Hi Cassandra

Aarnr is the one with the beard who swears a lot, you can't miss him.

Given that the party's two 'tanks' are a battle-happy priest and an over-size farmboy with poor impulse control (I'm re-naming his class feature 'Tantrum'), you're not exactly spoiled for choice.  No honourable paladins or dependable dwarven fighters here.

"Hello Cassandra.

There really isn't much to hide behind, the two choices we have are not that great, though I'd admit that Fergus is large enough. :D So I'd suggest that those two lead from the front while we lead/hide from the back! :P

Lets get this party started then. Who wants another drink??"

To hide from the dark in the shadows is like throwing imaginary rocks at a mirage.

Hello Fergus, Aramil.  Pleasure to meet you as well, along with the Nameless Monk.  I think I'm meeting her.  Hard to tell.

Goodness...we seem to be low on, erm, 'tanks'.  This bodes ill, I take it?

Well, given my past experience in your games...to whit, at least *checks notes* three going on at the moment...I would say yes.

*scribbles* ...four...

Thank you, good sir.  Sometimes it's difficult to keep track of them all.  Not to mention my mind not wanting to believe I'm in so many.

*coughs*  Games in general, that is.  Not YOUR games in particular.

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

"Dandies and motley-minded minnows blanch at the scent of a true man," the priest reassures Erista. "Thou shalt not smell so sweet when thou art waist deep in the slime pits, striving to be first to lay blade to the horny flesh of a denizen of the deeps !"

"An' so thou art a froggin' thief, eh ?"  Aarnr's visage twists, his lip curling upwards as he squints at the newcomer.  "I've no quarrel with that - a man has the right to take what he can keep.  But if I find so much as a copper missing from my purse I'll split thy froggin' gizzard !  Other than that thee and me shall get along fine."

"Now, did one of thou reeky, onion-eyed louts mention a drink ?!  An' where's my froggin' purse ..."
