Going to be without computer access for the next few weeks.  In the interim assume Aarnr continues to swear at a truly prodigious rate and attacks anything that starts a fight or looks like it's about to start a fight.  :>

The difficulty of your Constitution rolls must have been legendary.  Me, I just went with 'Fortitude Save' to deal with the odour.  :D

Okay, snake-tongued, it's a stretch, but Priestess of Zadastha, sure.

Carbunkle?

Marmious?  What does that even mean?  :D

Are you using a random insult generator?  ^_^

Marm is a dialectical variant of ma'am.  -ious means "possessing; full of".

So he's saying you're "full of ma'am."  Clearly.

Well, I just wanted to be sure that, in the future, when I'm running for Party Leader, I can honestly say that I did indeed associate with Aarnr, but I didn't inhale.  I intend to make this a central campaign issue.

Clearly.  So very Aarnr.  :)

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

I'm back !  What's all this about baths ?  Mud is good, remember.  Cleanliness is next to godliness, so only those wanting to be joining their god shortly should be clean.  It's a very simple concept.

Random insults !  Not at all, they're 'well-chosen', if from a reasonably extensive list - I have 186 on there and counting at the moment, and have taken to inventing words as well, as the occasion demands, just to keep Bowbe on his toes (and to reflect that Aarnr's grasp of Common isn't close to perfect).  'Marmious' was a recent creation, though I do note that the urban dictionary has 'marmy' as 'dirty', which seems stunningly appropriate in the circumstances.  ;>

Yasmine Crow:
BBR won't be around for a couple of days, due to a very mild heart attack at 5 AM this morning, I just returned from the hospital and while there is no danger to him, they will run their tests and keep him there for a while.

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

Who knew GMs have hearts?

Doing okay actually.  Had a small blood clot wedged in an artery attached to my heart, which blocked it completely.  Well, I say small, it actually felt to be about the size of Mount Everest.

Spoiler for Gruesome Details Not For The Squeamish: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
So they shoved a tube into my wrist,  pushed it all the way up to the blockage, then put a tiny balloon in and inflated it to widen the artery and release the blockage.  Then they removed the balloon and replaced it with a small metal tube to keep the artery open.  Was awake the whole time, and watching the procedure on TV.  No popcorn though.  :(

Feeling much better now, but not sure when they'll let me go home.  They want to do some more tests today.

On the plus side, I have a device attached to my heart.  Just call me Iron Man.  :)

Of course GMs have hearts.  They just don't use them ... and we always call you I-Ron Man, so no change there.

But glad you're feeling better and hope the tests go OK.  :>

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

I actually assumed you had at least seven hearts, all in pickling jars over the fireplace.  But I wasn't sure what to call the shriveled, blackened thing that beats in your chest.

I'm glad you're OK, and hope you're the kind of person who tests well!  I'm thinking about instituting a new health regimen for all my GMs and players so that this sort of thing stops happening to me-- er, any of you.

Hmmm... yes.  *gives Erista a serious look*

Tests all worked out, and I'm home, complete with an implant in my heart, and all the nitroglycerine I can consume.  Also two more pills to take each day. to go with the nine I was already taking for various conditions.

Anything to stop my GMs worrying about my health.

'Seven hearts in little jars' ... so your plan to turn all your GM and fellow players into various flavours of undead is proceeding nicely then. Erista ?

Glad to hear you escaped BBR ... now you just have to try not to blow up !

Re: The Chamber of Lost Souls.  (OOC)

Well, at the speed my games move, I figure my players need to last at least a thousand years or we're never going to get to Scene II.  Come to think of it, I suppose that means I need to be around that long, too, doesn't it?

Hmm.

Is there a recipe for immortality that doesn't include giving up my Cherry Coke habit?

Yep, metal tube thingy keeping that pesky artery wide open.  :)

And yes, nearly 2020.  Where's my flying car?

And no... liquid nitroglycerine that I'm supposed to spray on things to see them go BOOM! under my tongue.
